Daily Broadside | We can no longer trust the system

It’s Friday and we’re closing a defining week of the American experiment. There is no other way to look at the 2020 presidential election than the moment in history when the subversive, anti-American Left pulled out all the stops and went all in on a public exhibition of unholy fraud to shut down the presumptive will of the American people.

It’s no exaggeration to say that this is a watershed moment in American politics, culture and history. There are so many stories of fraudulent activity, all of which at one time in our history would have been considered high crimes and misdemeanors, punishable with a severe whipping, tar and feathering, or a public hanging. But rather than charging across the desert plain with a posse to reprise the shootout at the O.K. Corral against the criminals perpetrating the most brazen act of election fraud in all of our history, half the country seems paralyzed, unsure of what to do and hoping that president Trump, his lawyers and administration are making all the right calls.

There are accounts of Republican election observers being denied entry to polling places, observers being told to leave early and observers being kept 150 feet away from where ballots are being counted; first hand accounts from postal employees being told to back date election ballots by hand, Sharpie markers being given to Republican voters which the electronic ballot readers rejected, and spikes in votes for Biden at 4:00 a.m. with zero corresponding votes for Trump or for the Democrat ticket down ballot; military ballots, all for Trump, found dumped; numbers of voters exceeding the number of registered voters in districts, counties and states, and voters on the rolls who were either dead or no longer lived in the state.

None of these activities are favoring Trump. All of the apparent fraud is being perpetrated in Democrat-run states that he (or Biden) needs to reach 270 electoral votes. There weren’t any Sharpie markers being given to Democrats. Democrat election observers weren’t being turned away at polling stations. Hundreds of thousands of votes aren’t suddenly turning up for Trump. It’s all going Biden’s way.

So what do we do? One story quietly circulating claims Trump saw this coming as long as two years ago and made plans to expose the Deep State actors trying to sabotage the will of the American people. The Post Office placed hidden trackable watermarks with QFS blockchain encryption code on ballots so they could be verified if necessary. That would be fantastic if true. But there’s no way to verify it unless the DOJ starts marching fraudsters off to the pokey and publicizes what it did to gather evidence.

In the meantime, we do what we have to do. First, we wait while the legal process plays out. The Trump administration filed lawsuits in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia on Wednesday. Republican lawsuits were already underway in Pennsylvania and Nevada to challenge the vote counting. It may take some time for the cases to make their way through the system, but given the urgency of resolving an election in progress, courts will hear the claims immediately. Then there will be appeals and other tactics to either speed up or slow down the progress. Eventually they will make their way to the Supreme Court, if in fact they don’t start there.

We pray. If you’re a praying person, ask God for mercy. This is a terrible development in the life of our free society. We will most likely never know and can never trust the actual vote count as reported. How can we? There is almost no way to untangle the legitimate votes from the illegitimate votes. There’s no way to get a Republican observer in the room to watch votes that have already been counted. How do we recapture votes lost to Sharpie markers? How do we find the ballots illegally back dated? The election is being thrown to the courts to decide.

Ultimately we have to rest in God’s sovereignty. We might be angry or scared that our political process is being corrupted and the candidate we preferred is being robbed of the election. It troubles us but none of this troubles God.

The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.

Psalm 33:10-11

Ben Franklin challenged us to keep our republic. Let’s wait, watch and pray. Then, if called to, let’s act.

  1. Dave, this is, without a doubt, the greatest post you’ve ever written, especially the final paragraph about God’s sovereignty. At the end of the day, the only choice we have is to trust God and know that He is still good, regardless of the outcome. Like I said a couple weeks back, God is the ultimate decider of all things on this earth, not the least of which our election, so if this unprecedented series of events leads to President Joe Biden (who will be booted out of office and replaced with Madam President Kamala “Mamala” Harris,) then we know it was His will and for His glory!

Thank you for always speaking the truth, not just about the earthly things that we’re witnessing, but most importantly, the truth about our Father in Heaven and how great and wonderful He is! I leave you with these verses from Romans 8:

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

  2. Add to your list of woes in the third paragraph,

    > Software “glitch” giving ~6000 Republican votes to Democrats in Antrim County (47 other counties using that software…)

    > Windows at counting centers being covered over…

    > Hundreds (thousands?) of ballots with just the President and no down-ballot candidates chosen…

I don’t know about the “watermark sting” either… that just sounds too good to be true. Ballots are printed locally… how would that work, exactly? Supposedly the USPS watermarked them… but that seems like an operation too big to hide from Democrats. I spread a video of it, but now thinking better of it.

    > and the interesting phenomenon that everybody got there counts done EXCEPT in battleground states…. hmmmm

    • Those are helpful adds. The “sting” looks fanciful, which is why I downplayed it, and exactly for the reasons you listed. But it seemed just this side of plausible to rate a look. If there is anything to it, I’m sure we’ll hear about it.
