It’s the last day of February 2022. That was quick.

You may remember that during the presidential election of 2020 enthusiastic Trump supporters spoke of getting on board the “Trump Train.” It felt like we were barreling down the track with nothing but daylight between us and the White House. Four more years to build on the successes of the first four. Businesses were bringing their money and jobs home, we were building the wall, the stock market was on fire, China was outmaneuvered, NATO was ponying up, Lil’ Kim was behaving, and peace was breaking out in the Middle East.

But somewhere along the line, someone threw a switch and we slid to a dead stop on a siding and Brandon blew past us on the main rails while we watched in disbelief.

Just over a year later, we’re on a train barreling down the track with a crew requisitioned from the Locomotive School for the Deaf, Dumb and Blind, not to mention the enthusiastic yahoos in the dining car taking bites and sips as they lift and lower their masks, toasting the demise of #OrangeManBad while simultaneously blaming him for the latest outrage happening here and around the world.

And those outrages come one right after another, defying even the low expectations we had of Brandon when he assumed his stolen post. Which brings me to the point of this broadside.

During the train wreck of Brandon’s Residency I’ve been pondering what one word best describes him. The word I’ve used most often is “incompetent.” It’s also the one I’ve seen used most often in other opinion pieces critical of his administration. But incompetence, which is accurate, still leaves me dissatisfied, as does its close cousin, “inept.”

Brandon is both inept and incompetent. But those words don’t fully sum up who he is.

I’ve also seen him described as a puppet or a cipher, both of which imply that he is simply being manipulated by a hidden hand. That’s certainly true, too. How many times have we heard him talking about how he’s been told to do this, or not to do that, or watched the press be shut down by his handlers even as they yell questions to him and he sits there smirking and picking his teeth?

There’s no doubt that Brandon is not an independent actor who’s in charge of himself.

He’s been called brainless, frail, corrupt, weak, narcissistic, an idiot, an empty suit, a failure, and out of touch. Whatever modicum of truth each possesses, none of them seem to encompass all that the guy is.

But I finally landed on one that I think gets at the core of who Brandon is and one that explains nearly everything else about him.

Fool.

When I say “fool” I don’t just mean the dictionary definition of “a person lacking in judgment or prudence,” although that is part of it and completely true of Brandon. Nor do I mean the kind of gibbering idiot known as a court jester whose job was to amuse and provoke the king. That was deliberate silliness and calculated nonsense.

What I mean by fool is a man without a moral center who is led left and right by his desires rather than by a set of principles informed by experience, tradition and common sense. In the book of Proverbs and elsewhere in the Hebrew scriptures, the word fool means “one who is morally deficient.”

The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. (Proverbs 1:7)

The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple [fools] keep going and suffer for it. (Proverbs 27:12)

It comes down to this:

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” (Psalm 14:1)

To be morally deficient is to defy God and to ignore what He says is right and true and good. If you ignore what is right and true and good, what is wrong, false and evil will characterize your life. It’s bad for you personally, and it’s also bad for your family. It’s even worse if you’re leading a nation.

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. (Romans 1:21-23)

Joe Biden ignores God. In addition, he ignores political wisdom, cultural realities and common sense, and he seems to do it with malice, greed, pride and, sometimes, an empty stare.

Brandon is a fool. And “to be led by a fool is to be led by the opportunists who control the fool” (Octavia E. Butler, The Parable of the Talents). That’s perhaps the greatest travesty of the whole debacle.

It’s Friday and by some accounts, we are now on the cusp of World War III. Russia has indeed invaded its neighbor and former satellite in a campaign to reunite with so-called breakaway regions of eastern Ukraine. Vladimir Putin called Ukraine part of “ancient Russian lands” in an address on Monday.

While I’m doubtful that the Russian minor incursion invasion will lead to a broader conflict, all bets are off if Putin pushes beyond the western border of Ukraine where lie Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, all of whom are members of NATO. If Russia crosses the border of any of these nations, it would be considered an attack on all members, including US and the UK.

But never fear! Brandon reassured us that with him in charge, ol’ Putin would be shakin’ in his boots.

And there was also this before that:

Biden similarly said in a Twitter video in October 2019 that Putin’s “days of tyranny” would be over when he was president.

“I’m going to stand up to him, he’s a bully,” then-presidential candidate Biden said.

“Putin knows that when I am president of the United States his days of tyranny and trying to intimidate the United States and those in Eastern Europe are over,” he continued.

How’s everybody liking the end of Putin’s tyranny?

I’m not sure Putin was as impressed going toe to toe with Biden as Biden was going toe to toe with Putin. In fact, Brandon is rather enamored with himself, isn’t he?

Like everything else that Biden says, it was empty rhetoric, his words hollow theatrics that he could never live up to, the boasting of a feeble-brained idiot who has no moral center—unless you call enriching himself on the backs of taxpayers a “moral center.”

What has Brandon done to dissuade the Russian tyrant? Besides supporting Germany in shutting down the Russian-led Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline (which Biden had green-lighted while shutting down the Keystone Pipeline on his first day in office), the Resident is now introducing sanctions specifically targeting Russian financial markets.

Biden said that the sanctions will target Russian elites, banks, and technology exports which he claimed will cripple Russia’s ability to modernize its military and will damage the Russian economy.

Say, do you think Putin might have anticipated such a response? Here’s what Putin has said about anyone thinking about interfering with his “special operations.”

“To anyone who would consider interfering from outside: If you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history. All the relevant decisions have been taken. I hope you hear me,” Mr Putin said.

Does anyone doubt that he has the manpower, willpower and firepower to back up his Trumpian-style threat?

Still, what we should be concerned about is not so much what’s happening in eastern Europe, but what the fallout will be here in the U.S.

The Russian attack caused the price of Brent crude to spike more than 8 percent to as much as $105 a barrel. The price of U.S. crude also jumped 7.5 percent to about $99 a barrel. Russia is the world’s second largest producer of oil, and the second largest exporter of crude oil. Europe is particularly reliant on Russian energy.

How will that translate into the price of filling up your car?

The price of gas continues to soar in this era of Bidenflation. It is getting so bad, some experts are warning that we could see prices as outrageously high as $7 per gallon in some parts of the country.

The current high prices are not new, either. Gasoline has been on the rise for seven straight weeks, according to GasBuddy data reported by Fox Carolina.

“Veteran energy strategist Dan Dicker said he can see gas prices going up to $5 a gallon. Dicker said some areas might even get to $6.50 or $7,” Fox Carolina added.

GasBuddy noted that the national average is almost twenty cents a gallon higher than a month ago and is nearly a dollar higher than one year ago.

In just over a year we went from being energy independent and a net exporter of oil to reverting to 70’s-era gas pricing.

Norms restored!

Just know that the Democrats and their accessories in the media will blame the war in Ukraine for the rising gas prices. But don’t let them.

Left-wing news sources continue to lay the blame for these skyrocketing prices at the door of Russia’s threatened invasion of Ukraine.

Indeed, the Associated Press is only worried over the high costs of gasoline because it will likely have a political impact for Biden and the Democrats in the 2022 elections, which are only seven months away.

“Americans are already dismayed by Inflation at a 40-year high, and Biden is warning that gas prices could get higher if Russian President Vladimir Putin chooses to invade. It’s a recognition of Biden’s own risks ahead of the 2022 midterm elections: Inflation has become an albatross for Democrats despite the nation’s strong economic growth last year,” the Associated Press wrote last week.

But this is misleading. Gasoline has been rising since Biden took office, and the Russian threat to Ukraine was not great enough to impact gas prices when Biden entered the White House in January of last year.

Brandon is a colossal failure, putting America and the rest of the world at risk. He failed in Afghanistan, he failed in our energy independence, he’s failed on our southern border, and he’s failed in uniting the country.

And now he’s failed to deter Putin from mischief in eastern Europe. Biden might think he went “toe to toe” with Putin, but it turns out he was only tripping over his own feet.

Happy Thursday and welcome back to me! Sorry to go radio silent for a week with no warning, but we had plans to visit friends in the southern U.S. and had to skedaddle a day early to avoid the crazy Midwest weather patterns that prove climate change is real! We went to Texas where the temps ranged from the mid-forties to the mid-eighties, the skies were blue, the rain was brief, and the smell of freedom was everywhere. Plus, there was a lot of LGBFJB attitude, which we very much enjoyed.

Thanks to those of you who checked in on me.

The Brandon administration lurches from one failure to another, all the while blaming Trump and white supremacy for the results of his insane policies. (Well, they’re not actually his policies. He doesn’t know what he’s saying or what he’s endorsing. All of his policies are made up by the junta in Washington and he just nods along.) And while the nation is focused on the misdirection of Ukraine and Putin’s laughter at Biden—the only guy to go toe-to-toe with him!—we have some truly alarming developments to our north as Justin Brandeau goes full dictator — and the Canadian Parliament backs him up!

As things have developed, Canada has, in the idiomatic sense, become a joke, that is, a bad one, in effect, a joke that is not a joke. In other words, we never expected the unexpected, a liberal democracy transformed almost overnight into a fascist dictatorship, a travesty of a former assumption. Just yesterday, who would have thought that truckers’ operating licenses would be revoked. Or Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson would intend to sell confiscated rigs under the Emergencies Act. Or that banks can freeze accounts of individuals and corporations involved in the protests without a court order, as announced by Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland who, as Michael Walsh points out in The Pipeline, sits on the board of trustees of the World Economic Forum, “the most dangerous threat to real democracy and freedom in the world today, and whose journalist grandfather was reportedly a Nazi collaborator.” Or that a thrice-elected prime minister and darling of the electorate would assume the mantle of a totalitarian despot. Or that people would be savagely beaten by masked police without badge numbers and jackbooted RCMP officers think they are “living the dream” at the prospect of “police horses trampl[ing] peaceful protesters.”

Robert Spencer, who runs the Jihad Watch website and writes a lot about Islamist extremists, their threat to liberal democracy and has, himself, been banned from Britian over his views, writes this:

The death of freedom in Canada went by a party-line vote Monday evening, with the ruling Liberals and the far-Left New Democratic Party voting in favor of Justin Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act, and the Conservatives voting against. The vote on Hitler’s Enabling Act, which ended the Weimar Republic, also went along party lines, although most of those who weren’t National Socialists were too intimidated by that point to do anything but go along. In Canada, none of the Liberals and New Democrats who voted for the Emergencies Act appear to have pondered the lessons of the Left’s history and how this whole thing can backfire on them so very easily.

Trudeau claims that he needs emergency powers to seize the bank accounts of his opponents and hound them in other extraconstitutional ways because even though the Freedom Convoy has dispersed, it could gather again any time, you see. Another threat to “our democracy,” as Leftists in both Canada and the United States refer to their hegemony, is just around the corner. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh claimed Monday that the Freedom Convoy “came here to overthrow a democratically elected government. It is a movement funded by foreign influence, and it is fed on disinformation. Its goal is to disrupt our democracy.”

If that reminds you of the Democrats’ rhetoric about their fictional Jan. 6 “insurrection,” that’s because Canada’s Liberals and the Democrats in the States are working from the same playbook: demonize their opposition as insurrectionists and restrict their activities accordingly.

It’s that last paragraph that sums up my alarm over the developments in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand (all under the British monarchy), ostensibly liberal democracies where freedom is valued. It’s amazing how quickly each devolved into a dictatorship, imposing unlawful “emergency” police powers on their citizens and cutting off any opportunities to resist or object by word or behavior.

The reason for my concern is that the United States has been seeing more and more of its laws being circumvented or ignored with unending mask mandates, vaccination requirements, school closures, BLM rioting and looting and murders, J6 protestors being jailed without bond or charges, elected officials saying that white supremacy (read: Trump voters) is the greatest threat to “our democracy,” Critical Race Theory being taught to our kids, attempts to surveille our bank accounts, the invasion happening along our southern border and so much more.

Imagine that the truckers making their way to the U.S. capitol in our own Freedom Convoy are arrested and held without bail; that anyone donating to the cause or bringing them food or water or gasoline has their bank account frozen or are arrested as accessories to an attempted “overthrow” of the government or a threat to the “elected” leader of the US—exactly how many of us will be in the streets demonstrating and demanding that the government stand down?

The answer is none, I’m afraid.

The reason I think that is because there haven’t been any for the J6 protestors; there haven’t been any against the rioters and anarchists in various Democrat-run cities. I’m not sure what it’s going to take to disabuse Resident Brandon of his unhinged policies.

The American people are armed and have been arming themselves at a record-setting pace for a few years now. (The 393,347,000 estimated number of guns is from 2017 and doesn’t include the most recent data.) Neither Canada, Australia nor New Zealand have liberal gun laws. Canadians are allowed to have guns but there is no legal right to possess a firearm; in Australia, private gun ownership is strictly regulated; and in New Zealand, only a quarter of their citizens have a firearm.

Even with our top-heavy gun ownership, I’m not sure what we can expect in the face of tightening controls.

Interesting news just breaking:

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has revoked his use of the Emergencies Act, the quirk in Canadian law that allowed his cabinet to have the power to freeze the bank accounts of Freedom Convoy protesters and use tyrannical police power to break up the vaccine freedom protest.

I don’t know why Brandeau has taken this step, but it seems to me that the damage is already done by invoking the Emergencies Act to begin with. What’s to stop him from using it again on another citizen protest?

And what’s to stop something similar from happening here?

Nah.

Let’s go with the most recent developments in the RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA! collusion narrative that the Democrats and MSMSNBCNN alliance reported on pushed for years — that President Trump was a RUSSIAN agent and puppet of Putin and he was selling the United States out to RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA! and our precious democracy was in Danger, Danger, Will Robinson!

It was all a lie, just as we knew it was.

Special Counsel John Durham continues to unravel the Trump-Russia “collusion” story, and his latest court disclosure contains startling information. According to a Friday court filing, the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign effort to compile dirt on Donald Trump reached into protected White House communications.

According to Fox News:

Lawyers for the Clinton campaign paid a technology company to “infiltrate” servers belonging to Trump Tower, and later the White House, in order to establish an “inference” and “narrative” to bring to government agencies linking Donald Trump to Russia, a filing from Special Counsel John Durham found.

The tech company had privileged access to the servers which held non-public data. In other words, they were paid to exploit their access to private, non-public, secure information in the hopes of finding dirt on Trump.

Durham’s filing states that in July 2016, the tech executive worked with Sussmann, a U.S. investigative firm retained by Law Firm 1 on behalf of the Clinton campaign, numerous cyber researchers and employees at multiple internet companies to “assemble the purported data and white papers.”

“In connection with these efforts, Tech Executive-1 exploited his access to non-public and/or proprietary Internet data,” the filing states. “Tech Executive-1 also enlisted the assistance of researchers at a U.S.-based university who were receiving and analyzing large amounts of Internet data in connection with a pending federal government cybersecurity research contract.”

“Tech Executive-1 tasked these researchers to mine Internet data to establish ‘an inference’ and ‘narrative’ tying then-candidate Trump to Russia,” Durham states. “In doing so, Tech Executive-1 indicated that he was seeking to please certain ‘VIPs,’ referring to individuals at Law Firm-1 and the Clinton campaign.”

This after years of smears coming from the likes of Adam Schiff-for-Brains who claimed that “he has seen ‘more than circumstantial evidence’ of a Trump-Putin conspiracy” … a truly delusional and lying piece of Schiff. Don’t forget MSNBC’s star, Rachel Maddow, who was “the most prominent TV host to push the Russia collusion narrative.“

Fox News’s Gregg Jarrett, who wrote a book about the hoax, “Witch Hunt,” writes,

The stunning revelation that lawyers for the Hillary Clinton campaign paid a computer technology company to surveil a sitting president, Donald Trump, shows that more than half a dozen crimes may have been committed to advance the false accusation that he colluded with Russia.

It’s likely true that no one of any importance will get jail time for this, least of all Clinton.

As with any well organized criminal exercise, it is exceedingly difficult to nab the person at the top. Hillary Clinton is no different.  She carried out her machinations in smart and clever ways. She had others do her dirty work for her and maintained a distance separated through an elaborate chain of people. It was akin to a money laundering scheme, except dirty information was being washed.

Unless people in the chain break their silence and implicate Hillary, she will likely escape culpability.

Evidence of her role has slowly emerged from declassified records. It was July 26, 2016, when Clinton personally approved the plot to vilify Trump with the bogus collusion claims, according to CIA documents.  The genesis of the smear came from Hillary herself as a strategy to distract from her own email scandal.

Two days later, President Obama was alerted but appears to have done nothing except keep the matter concealed. Intelligence officials then sent an investigative referral on Clinton to then-FBI Director James Comey and his deputy, Peter Strzok. Predictably, it was buried.

Make no mistake –it was Clinton who invented the elaborate collusion hoax, financed it, and directed the process by which it was circulated to the media and the FBI.  Her false claims were then disseminated by a cadre of cronies and dirty-tricksters working secretly in the shadows.

Neither the White House nor Hillary herself responded to requests for comment in the wake of the Special Counsel’s revelations. This even as Democrats want Clinton investigated:

[N]early three out of four Americans want to see Hillary Clinton investigated for her connection to the efforts to frame Trump for ties to Russia. That number includes 66 percent of Democrats.

It’s hilarious to me that Clinton is making noise about a comeback in 2024 for a third run at the White House. But I’m not stupid … the Democrats put an empty, self-promotional, racist grand-stander with zero brains in the White House in 2020, so I wouldn’t put it past them to do the same with Felonius Milhous Pantsuit (as Kurt Schlichter calls her).

I admit that once Trump was out of office, I expected that the Durham investigation would die a quiet death, simply fading from view without notice. The fact that he’s been chipping away all this time is encouraging and I hope—I hope!—that he can prove that the only collusion going on was between Hillary, Obama, Biden and the rest of the Democrat cabal, including the MSM.

Our republic is counting on it.

Happy Tuesday my friends. I glossed over a couple of things yesterday that I thought I should say something about. First, I hope you had a Happy Valentine’s Day with your special someone(s). My wife and I host a small community group made up of neighbors on Monday night, so we did dinner out on Saturday night, then shared cards and gifts with each other yesterday.

Second, I did watch the Super Bowl on Sunday with my wife and some friends. I had no dog in that fight because I’m no longer watching the NFL which, as you know, has become a woke platform for rich elitist athletes to play a game that amounts to no more than a temporary diversion while they shame half the country for being white.

The half-time show was far from being the greatest. half. time. show. evahh. Frankly, I thought it sucked. I suppose the producers know their audience and it for sure wasn’t me.

I didn’t think the commercials were all that great. Usually there are some epic advertisements, but not this year. The Coinbase ad featuring a QR Code floating around the screen broke their app, so good for them.

I did hope Los Angeles would win for the simple reason that Matthew Stafford toiled away in Detroit for 12 years with no post-season to show for it, and in his first season with the Rams he leads them to the Super Bowl win. Great story—but I’m not paying attention to the league any more than that.

However.

While at church Sunday morning, one of our members gave an update on work he’s been doing for years that includes working with the FBI to rescue victims of sex trafficking. This year he was back in his home city of Los Angeles ahead of the Super Bowl, an event which apparently attracts the worst in humanity.

Partnering with the FBI, the Los Angeles police, and some ex-gang members who were his best friends growing up, this man helped rescue nearly 500 victims of sex trafficking, the youngest of whom were 11-years-old, and of whom more than 60 were boys. They also arrested more than 700 johns.

Our friend is a tattoo artist who covers up the tattoos that the pimps put on their “property.” Did you know that some pimps tattoo bar codes on their victims so that if they are found by another pimp, the bar code can simply be scanned and it calls up all the information on the victim? Then that pimp calls the owner pimp and they discuss whether the victim should be returned, sold to the finder, or “disappeared.”

Sometimes the pimp tattoos the phrase “Property of …” and adds his name, figuring that the victim will never bodily get away and, if they do, they will never mentally get away from physical brand left on their flesh.

It’s sick.

But it’s also closer to home than you might think. One report says

that between 15,000 to 50,000 women and children are forced into sexual slavery in the United States every year, and the total number varies wildly as it is very difficult to research. One study from the Department of Health and Human Services estimated the number between 240,000 and 325,000, while a report from the University of Pennsylvania put it at between 100,000 and 300,000.

Trafficking happens at hotels, motels, truck stops and online and at major events.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, 10,000 prostitutes were brought to Miami for the 2010 Super Bowl. Similar reports have been made about the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The gathering of large groups of people, as well as tourists’ willingness to spend money, is what makes these large events so lucrative for traffickers.

Hey, maybe instead of caving to the whining about how players are being “enslaved” by playing for white owners and taking a knee for perceived injustices during the national anthem, the NFL could sink some of their billions into rescuing kids who are actually enslaved and sold for sex during the biggest sporting event of the year, which just happens to be the NFL’s event.

Or nah?

Thank God for the men like our friend who does the hard work of helping find where these kids are being trafficked so they can be rescued.

Monday and we’re off to a new week in the ever more increasingly bizarre clown world that is the Brandon administration.

Politico reported last week that Sam Brinton, an LGBTQ+ activist and drag queen “pup” fetishist, has been appointed to serve as deputy assistant secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Nuclear Energy (ONE).

Behold your new high-level official of a key federal department:

There’s no doubt the “non-binary” man seems capable of his job.

According to a biography Brinton provided to the LGBTQ Religious Archives Network (LGBTQ-RAN), he holds a dual Master’s degree from MIT in engineering systems and nuclear science and engineering, is the founder of “Core Solutions Consulting that provides technical expertise on topics ranging from nuclear waste management to advanced nuclear reactor innovation and nuclear non-proliferation policy to advanced nuclear companies,” and has advised Congress on related issues.

But there’s more to Sam Brinton than his degree, and I’m not going to spend any time on his “pup” fetish or his interest in sex with animals. You can find that on your own if you’re interested. What I’m more concerned about is his activism and what this unprecedented step means for the future of our government and nation.

However, the biography also details Brinton’s work as an adviser to the Obama administration on LGBT issues and an activist for campaigns to ban talk therapy for unwanted same-sex attraction, such as the BornPerfect Campaign and 50 Bills 50 States, ostensibly driven by his experience as a “survivor of a traumatic and torturous conversion therapy experience.”

This is the key. Perhaps you wonder what his sexual proclivities have to do with his ability to do his job.

Nothing. He can (apparently) do the job.

The problem is the agenda that comes with Sam Brinton.

He also openly says, on his website, that he uses his nuclear background to gain access to senior corridors of power, to influence leaders to accept the full panoply of sexual deviance:

You might believe that Brinton’s capacity to do the DOE job has nothing to do with his kink activism, but he doesn’t share your belief. He believes that it is good and right to gain access to senior levels of government, and use that access for advocacy. Anybody inside DOE who has to work with this guy now should be on notice that he is going to be watching them for signs that they don’t affirm him in every way — and he will make trouble for them. Guaranteed.

Here’s the thing: Brandon and his cohort of activists don’t care about you and your conservative norms. The appointment of Sam Brinton is so in our face, so depraved, so contrary to what has been considered “normal” and “moral” for generations, that it offends the sensibilities of Normal Americans.

But “normal” Americans are a dying breed. Brinton is not universally seen as a perverted and mentally unwell person. As Rod Dreher writes, “We live in a culture in which Brinton is not seen as a failure, but as a success.”

It is going to be quite interesting to see how official conservative Washington responds to the Sam Brinton hire. I bet response is muted to positive. Why? Because though what Brinton represents is being championed by liberals, and he is a progressive hero, objecting publicly to people like Brinton and what they represent is something that is no longer done in elite circles, even among conservative elites. By the time the Boomers and the Xers die out, there will be no one left to object.

Meanwhile, as I’ve said, this is radically changing our society. Read the Rensselaer Polytechnic story: the young are being taught, and accepting the teaching, that perverts like Sam Brinton are liberating and sympathetic figures, figures that incarnate possible futures for themselves. Is this what you want for your children? Because we are all going to get it.

We need to all realize — and I’m talking to myself here too — that classical liberalism is not going to save us from this decadence. I have long resisted the implications of this conclusion, because I really do want to live in a world of relative tolerance. I am not as confident as others that this is the natural end point of liberalism, because we lived within classical liberalism for centuries without this kind of thing. What is becoming clear to me is that this is what classical liberalism is when separated from Christian faith, or at least from a metaphysical/religious structure that sets boundaries within the classical liberal framework. This is what the Founding Father John Adams meant when he said:

“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.”

And here we are today: post-Christian, and plunging into decadence because we have unbridled our basest passions. If Sam Brinton kept his base passions hidden, that would be one thing. But he parades them, has built a lucrative public profile and career on them, and openly exploits them for cultural and political hegemony. When Brinton was in short pants, his predecessors in the movement appealed to liberal values of tolerance and individual dignity to open the doors to people like him. Now that they are in command of the culture, there will be no more liberal tolerance, only compelled affirmation of the kind of deviance that was unimaginable a generation ago to most people.

Giving Brinton a highly elevated role in the federal government validates his sexual perversions, his debased morality, and his mental unwellness. It also pokes a very large finger in the eyes of what’s left of a modest and largely Christian culture.

But this is our country now and it’s defining deviance down further than we ever thought possible.

It’s Friday and the end of another week in the catastrophic hijacking of the American experiment in self-governance as the Brandon junta makes Wrongthink a crime. And not just a crime, mind you, but a specific kind of crime known as “domestic terrorism.”

MDM isn’t the latest flavor of fentanyl, produced by the Communist Chinese regime for sale to Mexican drug cartels, and now the leading cause of death for Americans between the ages of 18 to 45. No, MDM stands for mis- dis- and mal-information, the latest government acronym from which you must be protected.

DHS’ latest “Summary of Terrorism Threat to the U.S. Homeland,” released Monday, has much to say about the dangers of American minds being polluted with MDM, and curiously little to say about actual terror threats.

MDM is a term developed by the DHS Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to replace the old-fashioned phrase “foreign influence.” Now let us caveat that the U.S. government does indeed have a responsibility to monitor and to identify foreign influence operations. This was the remit of the Reagan-era Active Measures Working Group, which worked tirelessly to identify Soviet lies being spread to undermine the United States’ global standing in the world, and then countered them with the truth.

But under the latest iteration, DHS is no longer concerned solely with enemy lies spread abroad, but increasingly with information spread by “domestic threat actors” (read: American citizens). And no longer are they merely concerned with disinformation, false material spread to manipulate an opponent, but with misinformation, which DHS considers information that is false but not intended to cause harm, and “mal-information,” which means information which is true but the government considers harmful anyway.

This raises the question of who put a government intelligence and law enforcement agency in the position of declaring not only what is true or false but also determining whether information is good or harmful for consumption by free citizens. Of course, no law prohibits American citizens of spreading information of any kind, whether true or false.

Speaking of terrorism—this is truly a terrifying step in the morphing gelatinous mass known as the bureaucratic state, which is embedded in unaccountable agencies created by acts of Congress and completely detached from our political system of checks and balances.

This strikes at the very heart of a free and autonomous people, especially in terms of our First Amendment rights to free speech or to peaceably assemble or to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

But think about what has recently taken place. We had thousands of people “peaceably assemble” in Washington last January to protest the 2020 election results and “petition the Government for redress of grievances.” A smaller number of those people foolishly entered the capitol building and did some damage to it; others went in and walked through like tourists; and still others tried to break into areas that were off limits.

None had weapons and the only citizens killed that day were two unarmed women who were part of the crowd.

For that the protestors who breached the capitol were accused of participating in a violent insurrection and were hunted down, arrested, kept in solitary confinement without being charged, and were abused by their jailkeepers. Hundreds still languish in their cells for doing nothing more than walking through the halls of congress.

In the wake of that incident, lying anti-American mouthpiece and former CIA director John Brennan crowed that,

“… members of the Biden team who have been nominated or have been appointed are now moving in laser-like fashion, to try to uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements that we’ve seen overseas, where they germinate in different parts of the country and they gain strength, and it brings together an unholy alliance frequently of religious extremists — so authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, and even libertarians.”

That was only one of several claims that the most dangerous threat we face is from political extremism and White supremacy.

Then, the Justice Department (recently) announced that it was “establishing its own domestic terrorism unit to thwart the rise of home-grown extremism. But national security experts and advocates say it’s still unclear whether this unit will make Americans safer.”

And let’s not forget that Barack Hussein Obama fired and then replaced hundreds of senior military leaders with the likes of General Milli-Vanilli whose greatest concern is “white rage” and outfitting his military with skirts and heels.

Do you see how all the pieces are being put into place? We are facing an unprecedented assault on our freedoms and the government, which is completely out of control and setting itself up for tyrannical rule, is being led by anti-American Marxists who are on the verge of not governing, but ruling, our country.

In the DHS bulletin, it says that,

… the country is described as being in a “heightened threat environment” due to factors such as online content featuring “false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors.”

The “threat actors” are accused of seeking to “exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest,” which could potentially lead to acts of violence.

[…]

The bulletin also designates individuals and small cells “motivated by a range of foreign and/or domestic grievances often cultivated through the consumption of certain online content” as the “primary terrorism-related threat” to the country.

“The convergence of violent extremist ideologies, false or misleading narratives, and conspiracy theories have and will continue to contribute to a heightened threat of violence in the United States,” it states.

Both “unsubstantiated widespread election fraud” and the coronavirus are listed as examples of subjects in which “false or misleading narratives” are being proliferated online.

“Grievances associated with these themes inspired violent extremist attacks during 2021,” it claims.

COVID measures such as vaccine and mask mandates are stated to “have been used by domestic violent extremists to justify violence since 2020” and can potentially continue to inspire them “to target government, healthcare, and academic institutions that they associate with those measures.”

We are being encircled by our government, which is setting up the mechanics of a system that could be used to arrest anyone who voices dissent against the ruling policies or official narratives under the pretext of inciting violence.

Unfortunately, while we may take back the White House and the Congress in the next two years, a lot of damage is being done in these four years that will be tough to undo.

All I can say is arm yourself and buy lots of ammo.

With that public service announcement out of the way, have you noticed that the Democrats and the media—yes, I’m aware I’m repeating myself—have suddenly done a 180 and are now proclaiming that it’s time to lighten up on The Necessary WuFlu Remedies Based on The Science? It’s like everybody suddenly discovered what conservatives and other freedom-loving people have been saying for the last two years: masks don’t work, the lockdowns didn’t work, and we’re just going to have to learn to live with it.

Gee, what could have prompted the sudden turnaround?

Oh. Ohhhh.

“The Science.” The science says that we should move on from Covid.

No, silly, not the “Covid Science.” The Political Science.

Democrats understand that they are facing a massive wipeout come November (notwithstanding the cheating, lying, irregular schemes the crime family known as the Democrats will pull). Brandon is under 40-percent approval rating, which means that he’s an utter disaster in the eyes of the country.

Even his own party is ignoring him.

Four states, all of which have Democratic governors, have announced in recent days that they are going to lift mask mandates for schools. Separately, deep-blue California is going to end its policy of requiring vaccinated people to mask while indoors next week.

But the Biden administration has promised to follow the guidance of scientists, specifically those at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC has not yet issued any change to its guidance on masking.

That leaves Biden in a bind.

The White House risks looking overly cautious on restrictions if it sticks with the status quo — a dangerous political position in a nation that has grown frustrated and restless after two years of pandemic restrictions.

On the other hand, the White House doesn’t want to sound an all-clear that turns out to be premature.

So much science!

Add to that a Monmouth poll showing that 70 percent of Americans agree with the sentiment that “it’s time we accept that Covid is here to stay and we just need to get on with our lives.” Everybody is tired of the two weeks to flatten the curve and the ineptitude of a lying Resident who promised he’d shut down the virus.

Now, some 500,000 deaths later under Brandon’s watch (396,442 people died while Trump was in office), the idiocy of that bit of hubris is plain for all to see. Brandon had to mark the grim milestone of more than 900,000 Covid deaths in the U.S. a week ago.

The main difference in the sense that it is time to move on is due to partisanship – ranging from 89% of Republicans and 71% of independents to 47% of Democrats.

An overwhelming majority of the country wants to move on, but not the Democrats!

This was and is a purely Democrat psyop—especially the Karen corps. My wife was ghosted in person by a US Postal Service Karen just yesterday who asked her to put on a mask and my wife refused. We later learned that USPS employees are required to serve all customers. But this government worker took it upon herself to enforce her personal Karen standard: no mask, no service.

And we fund that Karen’s paycheck.

The Democrats are in flames and they know it. They’re now embracing the idea of moving on from the Peking Lung Pox for the sole reason that they’re going to get demolished at the polls come November. It has nothing to do with “science” and everything to do with saving their cushy seats in the power centers of this country.

They’re hoping you and I forget everything they’ve put us through come the 2022 midterms. But this is not a time to “forgive and forget.” They’ve abused their power for not just “two weeks” but for two years. They’ve destroyed businesses, abused children, killed the elderly, and used the “pandemic” as a pretext to rig a national election.

Far from forgetting, we need to remind them that we’ve watched what they’ve done as they have extended their power beyond anything the U.S. Constitution recognizes and keep them from ever putting their hands on the levers of power again.

This about-face on Covid is a salvage operation. They abused the power that we entrusted to them, and that power needs to be taken away from them.

Wednesday’s Reading: Leviticus 21-23

Wednesday and I thought I’d take a moment to look again at Critical Race Theory, or CRT, because it has severely damaged our national discourse and culture and is contributing to the division that has us fighting each other. Knowing something about it in a simplified form and being able to discuss why it’s a corruption of the American ideal is important in standing firm against the woke scolds who demand that we bow to the new orthodoxy.

I’ve written about CRT in previous posts here and here, and dedicated a whole series to the background of CRT (i.e. cultural Marxism). But I’ve recently come across some helpful essays that make CRT easier to understand and wanted to pass some of it along to you.

Without repeating too much of what I’ve already covered elsewhere, CRT finds its roots in Marxism and, more specifically, in the philosophy of Max Horkheimer who, in the words of Andrew Breitbart, “coined a term that would embody the whole corrupt philosophy of his fellow travelers’ mission to destroy society and culture using the Marxist dialectic: critical theory” (Righteous Indignation).

“Critical theory … was, quite literally, a theory of criticizing everyone and everything everywhere. It was an attempt to tear down the social fabric by using all the social sciences (sociology, psychology, economics, political science, etc.); it was an infinite and unending criticism of the status quo, adolescent rebellion against all established social rules and norms.”

Critical theory’s practitioners eventually realized that competing with the success of America’s capitalist system was a failing strategy. Most Americans were satisfied with their economic station in life, most recognized that anyone who put their mind to it could succeed in American society, and most preferred improving their country to overthrowing it, as Christopher F. Rufo writes in “Critical Race Theory: What it Is and How to Fight It.”

Critical theory then morphed into what we know today as critical race theory. Rufo explains,

Critical race theory is an academic discipline, formulated in the 1990s, built on the intellectual framework of identity-based Marxism.

So we know that it is a formal discipline based in Marxism, but can someone define it? Abe Greenwald offers this description:

There’s much confusion and obfuscation about what CRT is, but it’s very simple. CRT maintains that all the systems that undergird the functioning of the United States are racist by design and produce inequitable results for people of color. All systems—social, governmental, legal, financial, educational, medical, you name it. In practice, this means teaching white children that they are, above all else, oppressors and teaching black children that they are, first and foremost, victims. 

I quoted Seth Grossman a few days ago and he’s worth repeating here:

That [CRT] narrative goes like this: until about 600 years ago, most people in the world lived peaceful, comfortable, and environmentally sustainable lives.

Then, in the 1400s, a bunch of white men in Europe went crazy.  While abusing their women, they built ships and weapons to attack and exploit the rest of the world. These crazy white men exterminated Native Americans, enslaved black Africans, and impoverished Asians. They also started wars and polluted the planet to cause the catastrophic “climate crisis” we have today.

At its core, CRT is an economic scheme that redistributes wealth and reconfigures the societal hierarchy to create equity. Not equality, which is the American ideal, but equity, which is something altogether different. Rufo writes,

There are a series of euphemisms deployed by [CRT’s] supporters to describe critical race theory, including “equity,” “social justice,” “diversity and inclusion,” and “culturally responsive teaching.” Critical race theorists, masters of language construction, realize that “neo-Marxism” would be a hard sell. Equity, on the other hand, sounds non-threatening and is easily confused with the American principle of equality. But the distinction is vast and important. Indeed, equality—the principle proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence, defended in the Civil War, and codified into law with the 14th and 15th Amendments, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965—is explicitly rejected by critical race theorists. To them, equality represents “mere nondiscrimination” and provides “camouflage” for white supremacy, patriarchy, and oppression. In contrast to equality, equity as defined and promoted by critical race theorists is little more than reformulated Marxism.

He goes on to explain,

An equity-based form of government would mean the end not only of private property, but also of individual rights, equality under the law, federalism, and freedom of speech. These would be replaced by race-based redistribution of wealth, group-based rights, active discrimination, and omnipotent bureaucratic authority. Historically, the accusation of “anti-Americanism” has been overused. But in this case, it’s not a matter of interpretation—critical race theory prescribes a revolutionary program that would overturn the principles of the Declaration and destroy the remaining structure of the Constitution.

Dr. Voddie Baucham agrees. In discussing “social justice” (one of the CRT euphemisms cited above), note how what he describes as the mission of the social justice movement echoes the CRT mission.

Baucham proceeded to break down the mission of the social justice movement:

1. Identify disadvantaged groups.
2. Assess group outcomes.
3. Assign blame for disparate outcomes (i.e. if a group is experiencing a negative outcome, the next step is to determine who is to blame).
4. Finally, there needs to be a redistribution of power and resources in order to redress the group’s grievances.

Baucham offered an important qualifier, which is that the disadvantaged group is never to blame for its own problems — the group is perpetually the victim, always to be believed and sympathized with.

This is why CRT is such a poisonous ideology. It seeks to divide the populace along racial lines with the object being the transfer of wealth and power to the “oppressed” class. The problem is that it is all based on lies. Not that there hasn’t been injustice in America—there has—but that injustice is built into the system and the only way to fix it is to remove those in power and replace the system. Those who are removed from power are replaced with—you guessed it—the aggrieved and the system is replaced with one that favors the aggrieved.

CRT promotes three ideas: race essentialism, collective guilt, and neo-segregation (Rufo). These ideas directly contradict the American principles of equality and justice at the individual level. In essence, CRT adherents seek to destroy American exceptionalism to benefit themselves.

Don’t let them do it.

It’s Tuesday and I am not making up what I’m about to share with you. One of the news sources I frequent had a story yesterday about the newest initiative of Brandon’s efforts to address “racial equity.”

The Washington Free Beacon reports that,

The Biden administration is set to fund the distribution of crack pipes to drug addicts as part of its plan to advance “racial equity.”

Just pause there for a second to admire the total incoherence of that statement of fact.

You’re going to give crack pipes to drug addicts to advance “racial equity”? What, are blacks competing with whites in the world of addiction?

In what sane society does enabling drug addicts to satisfy their addiction “advance racial equity”?

In Brandon’s world, this is apparently the compassionate thing to do.

The $30 million grant program, which closed applications Monday and will begin in May, will provide funds to nonprofits and local governments to help make drug use safer for addicts. Included in the grant, which is overseen by the Department of Health and Human Services, are funds for “smoking kits/supplies.” A spokesman for the agency told the Washington Free Beacon that these kits will provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and “any illicit substance.”

HHS said the kits aim to reduce the risk of infection when smoking substances with glass pipes, which can lead to infections through cuts and sores. Applicants for the grants are prioritized if they treat a majority of “underserved communities,” including African Americans and “LGBTQ+ persons,” as established under President Joe Biden’s executive order on “advancing racial equity.”

I’m sorry, did I say the government is providing the kits? What I meant to say is that you are providing the kits. Since the government doesn’t actually produce anything of value that anyone wants to buy, they’re using the money they take from you and me to send drug reinforcement kits to drug addicts who otherwise would have to use—horrors!—glass crack pipes that lead to infections.

You see, the problem isn’t the addiction; the problem is the infections users get as a result of their self-destructive habit. We can’t have white people getting clean drug delivery products while black people get used drug delivery products! That ain’t fair!

Other equipment that qualifies for funding include syringes, vaccinations, disease screenings, condoms, and fentanyl strips.

Terrific. Instead of fighting addiction, the government has thrown in the towel and said, “if they’re going to do drugs, let’s make them comfortable.” This is entirely in keeping with the therapeutic embrace of anyone or anything that is “oppressed” by the traditional culture.

You’re a drug addict? Poor thing! What you need is compassion and understanding that your habit isn’t a bad thing. No! If drugs are your reality, well, then, the least we can do is protect you from the discomfort the results of drug use can produce. Here’s a clean crack pipe! That should put you on an equal footing with whitey.

This is the same as when the government provides clean needles to heroin addicts. “At least they aren’t getting infected by dirty needles.” It’s like filling potholes as people shuffle their way along the highway to hell. The problem isn’t the potholes; the problem is that the road goes to hell.

This is the insanity of the Left. The father of a drug addict (Joe) is enabling his son (Hunter) and other addicts to remain addicts—by keeping the unflattering results of their addiction suppressed and allowing the addiction itself to eventually kill them.

That’s the true “equity” in this program.
