Daily Broadside | Dignity is Just a Word for “Not Trump”

Daily Verse | Job 19:25
I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.

Happy June 1, my friends. If cats could text you, they wouldn’t.

When Dementia Joe was running for president and Kamala was his Value Pick as running mate, we were told that they would restore “dignity” the White House. There would be so much dignity, we’d soon be sick of all the dignity.

Of course that was against the backdrop of president Trump’s term in office. What they really meant was that president Trump was an undignified, loudmouthed buffoon who soiled the office with his direct style of communication. All those mean tweets!

At least he loved our country.

Since dignity means being worthy of honor or respect, I sort of expected that there would be a noticeable increase in decorum and propriety. Certainly not this:

Or this:

Photos of themselves and in Harris’s case, a glamor shot. No pictures of flag-draped coffins. No photo of grieving family members. No images of American flags. No poignant quotes from prior leaders. Not one word about those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom, those vets still with us, or those still serving. Not one word about America. Not one word about Memorial Day and why we have our “long weekend.”

Silence.

It’s true that Harris later tweeted out a post that was more appropriate for the occasion, but the damage is done. Both Resident Biden and his VP demonstrated their tone-deaf imbecilities by throwing out some thoughtless happy talk as though the long weekend was on par with a student’s day off for parent-teacher conferences.

Hey, maybe we have commies in office who can’t stand our country, but at least there’s No Moar Mean TweetsTM!

Dignity? I’m still waiting.
