Daily Broadside | Airplane Travel Is Now a Woke Disaster-In-Waiting

You know that when the irrational becomes policy you’re in trouble.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is actively recruiting workers who suffer “severe intellectual” disabilities, psychiatric problems and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency’s website.

“Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the Federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring,” the FAA’s website states. “They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism.”

The initiative is part of the FAA’s “Diversity and Inclusion” hiring plan, which says “diversity is integral to achieving FAA’s mission of ensuring safe and efficient travel across our nation and beyond.” The FAA’s website shows the agency’s guidelines on diversity hiring were last updated on March 23, 2022.

There’s no other word for it but “absurd.” How in the world does hiring people with extreme disabilities achieve the “mission of ensuring safe and efficient travel”? It’s an absurd premise.

You have to wonder where all these severely disabled people will be placed. I mean, are they going to hire people with “complete paralysis” to sit in the control tower at O’Hare to guide airplanes to the correct runway? Or are they going to be hired to work online from home and file violations of FAA regulations?

This is just a way to make sure every class of “victim” in our society has access to government wages. The government can hire anyone it wants and pay them whatever they want because the money isn’t theirs and this is just one more way to break down our morale and keep things crazy.

Are you aware that the federal government is the largest employer in the United States with 2.95 million employees as of September 2023? I’m pretty sure that’s not what the Founders had in mind when they created a centralized federal government that was supposed to be kept in check by three co-equal branches.

I mean, I’m pretty sure.

The FAA, which is overseen by Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s Department of Transportation, is a government agency charged with regulating civil aviation and employs roughly 45,000 people.

Right, this is a FEDERAL agency, which means that Alfred E. Bootyjudge gets to make all kinds of rules based not on passenger safety, but on his personal ideology in which “diversity” is of greater importance than whether an airplane falls out of the sky or collides with another on the ground.

All eyes have been on the FAA and airline industry in recent days after a plug door on a Boeing 737 Max 9 blew out during an Alaska Airlines flight on Jan. 5. The FAA grounded all 737 MAX 9 planes after the incident and is carrying out “extensive inspection” and maintenance work.

Hmm. How could that have happened? It’s almost as if something else has taken priority over making a quality product at Boeing. But what?

You don’t say.

You. Don’t. Say.

Ooohh and look at this! Perhaps the fact that Boeing outsourced its software safety testing to hourly contractors in India has something to do with their decline?

But think of all that time and money they’re saving!

But wait! There’s more!

The CEO of one of the main US airlines is a nut job who flounces about in women’s clothes. And I’m supposed to trust him to make wise decisions regarding my life and safety?

It’s a clown show and we have to live with it, assuming the aircraft doesn’t go down with a flaming intersectionalist at the throttle.

Just wait until the next airplane disaster in which all aboard are killed and it’s traced back to a person with “targeted disabilities” who couldn’t see or hear or reach the emergency button because of “missing extremities” who loved to drag.

What virtue.

Daily Broadside | Nebraska Senator: Vacation Bible Schools Are as Perverted as Drag Queen Shows. Just Kidding!

Happy February!

I was at a church business meeting recently and one of the elders warned the congregation that we needed to prepare ourselves for persecution. He didn’t say so with any drama or flair; just a candid observation of where things are headed in our culture and the inevitable destination our trajectory is leading towards.

I’ve been warning for some time that Christians will be in the crosshairs, eventually, and we’re even beginning to see some of it appear here and there. While it isn’t Nero lighting his garden parties with the bodies of burning Christians (yet), one doesn’t have to be a prophet to understand where these things lead.

‘Anti-religious bigotry’: Nebraska Dem’s amdt. would ban kids from vacation Bible schools, church youth groups

A Democratic lawmaker in Nebraska is being accused of “anti-religious bigotry” by Republicans after she proposed to ban children from attending church youth groups or vacation Bible schools.

State Sen. Megan Hunt says her amendment, which would ban children under 19 years of age from attending a “religious indoctrination camp,” is intended to kill the underlying bill, LB 371, a measure put forward by Republicans to ban minors from attending drag performances. The text of the amendment asserts there is a “well-documented history of indoctrination and sexual abuse perpetrated by religious leaders and clergy people upon children.”

Equating a drag show with vacation bible school? This is classic mid-brain progressivism comparing apples to oranges because of superficial similarities, e.g. they both grow on a tree. What it really underscores is the two different worldviews at work. One, that we are to honor and obey the transcendent God, versus the other, that we are to live out our most depraved lunacies—and teach our kids to do the same.

Here’s what her amendment is trying to whitewash:

But, thank goodness, the illustrious senator tells us not to worry.

“This is an amendment that I will use to make a point,” Hunt told Fox News Digital. “This amendment obviously won’t pass, and I would withdraw it if it had the votes to pass. It’s a device to make a point, so there is no need to worry.”

Thankfully I already have the assurance that I don’t have to worry.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. — Philippians 4:6

However, senator, you obviously aren’t thinking long-term and wouldn’t care if you were. You’ve just planted seeds that others will see and copy. You’ve just denigrated without cause the foundation of Western law and society. You’ve added to the subtle but growing web of oppression directed at Christians.

Now do Muslims, senator.
