The Broadside | Take the Money and Run

Trump is offering illegally present foreigners a gift.

The Department of Homeland Security is intensifying its efforts to persuade unauthorized immigrants to self-deport by offering a $1,000 stipend and travel assistance.

The federal agency announced Monday that those who use the CBP Home app to voluntarily leave the United States will receive assistance “to facilitate travel back to their home country” and $1,000 “paid after their return to their home country has been confirmed through the app.”

When I first saw that it struck me negatively. Why would we “reward” people who had illegally crossed into our country? Not only did millions of people commit a crime when crossing our border illegally, millions of people were given handouts when they got here. Some of them were flown to a city of their choice.

It wasn’t until I read further that I realized that there is a huge benefit for illegal aliens who self-deport, namely that they preserve the right to return to the U.S. using proper channels and processes. But the even bigger benefit is for U.S. citizens: it saves taxpayer dollars.

A single deportation costs U.S. taxpayers $17,121, according to DHS. The federal agency expects self-deportations to decrease that cost by 70%, even after factoring in the stipend.

Matt Margolis adds:

At first glance, it might sound counterintuitive that the Trump administration would offer $1,000 to illegal aliens who self-deport—but that’s exactly why the liberal media ran wild with it. They led with the cash payments, plastering them across headlines and opening paragraphs, hoping to spark outrage while conveniently glossing over the bigger picture. What they buried—on purpose—is that these stipends are part of a strategic effort to restore order at the border and save taxpayer dollars.

By encouraging voluntary departures through a streamlined process, the Trump administration is projected to slash deportation costs by up to 70%. It costs the government over $17,000 to arrest, detain, and remove someone through traditional deportation channels. Voluntary returns also sidestep the complex diplomatic negotiations typically required to get countries to accept their returning citizens.

I don’t really care how illegals leave; just that they do. If we can bribe them with $1,000 and it saves us money, I’m all for it.

This is what I voted for.

I mentioned yesterday that my buddy Bruce Gust will be taking over the blog for the next few days as I take a break to visit the littles. He’s filled in for me several times over the last five years and I always appreciate it.

Bruce was at the center of a controversy earlier this year when he sang a unique rendition of the national anthem before a Nashville Predators v. Anaheim Ducks hockey game. Maybe you heard about it.

U.S. Marine Corps veteran Bruce Gust performed his own rendition of the anthem at the Bridgestone Arena before the Nashville Predators took on the Anaheim Ducks. He brought out bongos to help add a rhythmic beat to the song.

Ducks star Trevor Zegras joked that the unique performance affected his play at the start.

“I think the bongo anthem threw us off a little bit in the first,” Zegras said. “But once we recovered from that, we were back to our game, which was good.”

I personally thought the rhythmic rendition, while unique, was quite well done. In addition to being a musical artist, Bruce is also an author of several books. I recommend his “American Devotional Series: Part One: The Revolutionary War.” You can also check out his Muscular Christianity website, where he offers spiritual encouragement and physical fitness resources.

Thanks Bruce!

The Broadside | ‘The Rock’ is Back as My Vote Pays Dividends

Trump orders Alcatraz maximum security prison to reopen, rebuild and expand to house ‘America’s most ruthless and violent’ criminals.

President Donald Trump is calling for the notorious prison and now historical landmark, Alcatraz, in San Francisco, California, to be rebuilt larger and reopened to house the country’s most ruthless and violent criminals.

Trump made the announcement in a Truth Social post on Sunday evening.

“REBUILD, AND OPEN ALCATRAZ!” the president said. “For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering.

“When we were a more serious Nation, in times past, we did not hesitate to lock up the most dangerous criminals, and keep them far away from anyone they could harm,” Trump continued, adding that it’s supposed to be this way. “No longer will we tolerate these Serial Offenders who spread filth, bloodshed, and mayhem on our streets.”

Trump is all in on reversing with intensity the indulgences of the prior administration. If Brandon allowed an invasion of foreigners without structure or oversight, then we’re going to arrest, imprison and deport them, and we’ll use the most notorious supermax prison to do it.

I’m all for reclaiming and reimagining that jetty of rock off the San Francisco coast. And it’s clear why Trump wants to do so:

Trump, in his social media post, said the country can’t be held hostage by “criminals, thugs, and Judges that are afraid to do their job and allow us to remove criminals, who came into our Country illegally.”

The Republican has railed against federal judges who have slowed his effort to boot alleged gangbangers and ship them off to the infamous El Salvador megaprison.

AP wrote, “Trump, returning to the White House on Sunday night after a weekend in Florida, said he’d come up with the idea because of frustrations with “radicalized judges” who have insisted those being deported receive due process. Alcatraz, he said, has long been a “symbol of law and order. You know, it’s got quite a history.”

Fine. If activist judges want to bottleneck Trump’s executive power, he’s got to find another way to deal with the threat. Funny enough, Don Jr. floated the idea of reopening Alacatraz back in January.

After his father’s announcement of creating a facility at the military base in Cuba to hold thousands of undocumented immigrants, Don Jr. tweeted, “Maybe we should also reopen Alcatraz?”

Being 1.25-miles from shore, Alcatraz has a reputation as being inescapable, even though 36 inmates tried and failed over 14 attempts during the years it was open (1934-1963). (There may have been three who made it in 1962, but there’s no definitive proof.) It used to hold some of America’s most violent and notorious criminals including gangsters James “Whitey” Bulger, Al Capone and George “Machine Gun” Kelly. It closed in 1963 after “island operations proved far more costly than mainland-based prisons.”

It’s both a symbolic and practical solution to a big problem.

Maybe Trump will hire some of El Salvador’s prison wardens to teach us how to handle the most violent offenders in our country. They’ll still get ‘due process,’ but we don’t need to make it pleasant for them.

A programming note: my buddy Bruce Gust will be filling in for me starting Wednesday as we visit with the littles. He’s always got good things to share with a Christian emphasis. My last post before break will be tomorrow.

The Broadside | The New Wave of Lawlessness Is Coming from Our Judiciary

When I was a kid, I was taught that if I ever got lost, I should find a policeman, who would help me get back to my mom and dad. There was implicit trust that law enforcement authorities were safe and would do the right thing.

How things have changed.

New Mexico Judge Joel M. Cano, Massachusetts Judge Shelley Richmond, and Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan made conscious, deliberate, and premeditated decisions to aid criminals, obstruct law enforcement, and desecrate the very system they were sworn to uphold.

In just a few days’ time, these three black-robed offenders committed what can only be described as acts of judicial treason against the American people.

And make no mistake: holding them fully accountable isn’t merely an option—it’s an absolute necessity.

It’s a necessity because if they’re allowed to get away with the alleged crimes then it confirms our system of justice is a collapsing two-tiered joke that “no one is above the law.”

Joel Cano, Shelley Richmond, and Hannah Dugan must be removed from office, disbarred, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Anything less sends a deadly message to America: that the people enforcing the law can live above it.

They must face consequences—not because they made human errors—but because they made deliberate, calculated betrayals.

When those who have power to make decisions about how laws are enforced no longer follow the rule of law, then by definition they become lawbreakers. In other words, they become criminals just like those they are supposed to judge without tipping the scales of justice in one way or another.

In these cases, they were not just accomplices, but perpetrators themselves.

Dugan’s fellow Wisconsinite, Sen. Tammy Baldwin (Leftist), was incensed that a Lefty judge was arrested and charged with two felonies:

“Make no mistake, we do not have kings in this country and we are a democracy governed by laws that everyone must abide by,” Baldwin said.

Everyone, apparently, but illegal aliens and ideological judges.

My shocked face wore out in 2020 but it’s still bracing to see the knee-jerk denialism and breathless sky-is-falling catastrophizing from the Left.

What’s “not normal” Amy is that a sitting judge aided and abetted a criminal illegal alien’s escape from federal authorities. Our only response to Klobucher should be:

If Ms. Dugan wants to protect illegal aliens and help them evade ICE officials she just can’t do it in her judge’s robes. And if she can’t separate her personal activism from her official duties as an unbiased judge, then she must leave the court — voluntarily or involuntarily.

And either way she should pay the penalty for her criminal law breaking.

If you want to know why Leftist Democrats and Leftist judges want to prevent illegals from being deported, here’s all you need to see:

The Broadside | What is This Fetish That Democrats Have With Foreigners Here Illegally?

It boggles the mind that a Maryland Democrat senator goes all out for an illegally present, MS-13 gang member and human trafficker from El Salvador accused of beating his wife who was sent back to his country of origin—while ignoring the brutal 2023 murder of a 37-year-old mother of five by a different Salvadoran illegal immigrant, without so much as a full-throated denunciation.

Why is it that Sen. Chris Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador last week—most likely on the taxpayers’ dime—to try and win the release and return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia? Why isn’t he applauding the deportation of a foreigner who illegally crossed into the United States in 2011 and lived here for 14 years even though he was under deportation orders? And why are Democrats as a party outright opposing the efforts to repatriate the millions of foreigners who flooded our nation over the last four years during the reign of Joey Sponge-Brain and his Cast of Hannibal Lecters?

I’ll tell you why.

It’s because they’ve inhaled the toxic fumes of Marxist-based wokery and believe that the United States of America is a racist country that oppresses minorities and that it is a moral imperative to elevate the oppressed and crush the oppressor. Sen. Van Hollen sees his effort to reverse the Trump administration’s action as a noble virtue that expresses his contempt for the ruling class and identifies himself with the oppressed.

“Why is the government of El Salvador continuing to imprison a man where they have no evidence that he’s committed any crime and they have not been provided any evidence from the United States that he has committed any crime?” Van Hollen told reporters before Morin took the briefing room podium. “They should just let him go.”

Well, senator, it may be that the laws are different in El Salvador. Perhaps just being a member of MS13 is grounds for imprisonment; I hear that they’ve been rounding up gang members by the thousands under a state of emergency for the last couple of years. But you go right ahead and tell El Salvador who should and shouldn’t be in prison. Seems to be your thing.

It’s true that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration must “facilitate” Abrego Garcia’s return and “to ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador” due to an administrative error. But it’s also true that the court didn’t require the administration to “effectuate” his return.

I’m guessing the difference is that “facilitating” his return means cooperating with El Salvadore to return him to the US once he’s made available by El Salvador, whereas “effectuating” his return means that the administration is responsible to get him back—to make it happen—whether El Salvador wants to cooperate or not. It’s the difference between waiting for the other party to act or taking the initiative yourself.

(Of course, I don’t know the legal nuances of such words. I’m an opinion writer, not a lawyer. So, take what I think with a grain of salt.)

Our immigration system is not only broken, but overwhelmed. There is no way for us to process tens of millions of foreigners in a reasonable amount of time. Thousands of them are criminals.

If they are here illegally, the only way to reduce their presence quickly is to round them up and send them back to where they came from. Even if they’ve claimed asylum.

Will some of them sincerely fear for their lives? Yes. But the responsibility for that lies with the previous administration, which illegally facilitated (there’s that word again) the worst foreign invasion on American soil in our history.

They made the mess. We need to clean it up and quickly. Kick them all out and tell them to come back through legal channels.

And if they’re angry about it, tell them to talk to Mayorkas and Biden.

The Broadside | Believe it or not, We Didn’t Need Congress to Close the Border

When Brandon was in office, we were told that it would take an act of Congress to close the border against the illegal alien invasion. Get this … they lied to us.

President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, revealed a statistic on Presidents’ Day that indicates the United States is successfully cracking down on illegal crossings in a way not seen in decades.

“In the last 24 hours the US Border Patrol has encountered a total of 229 aliens across the entire southwest border. That is down from a high of over 11,000 a day under [President Joe] Biden,” Homan said in a post to X on Monday. “I started as a Border Patrol Agent in 1984 and I don’t remember the numbers ever being that low. President Trump promised a secure border and he is delivering.”

Look, ma! No congress!

All it took was a determined leader to put America first.

And the people are with Trump.

If you’re looking for a reason why Trump won so handily against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, illegal immigration looms large. The online national I&I/TIPP Poll, taken from Jan. 29-31, asked 1,478 adults around the country four questions about Trump’s immigration policies and the actions he has taken so far. The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.6 percentage points.

The first question: “Do you support or oppose Trump’s promise of large-scale deportations of illegal migrants?” By a roughly 3-to-2 majority, voters back this idea. The actual numbers: 57% say they support it either “strongly” (35%) or “somewhat” (22%), while just 35% oppose it “strongly” (22%) or “somewhat” (13%). Another 8% aren’t sure.

How does that split with regard to political affiliation? Republicans (85% support, 11% oppose) and independents (54% support, 37% oppose) both gave strong backing.

What about the Democrats? A solid majority oppose it, at 59%, but 31% (nearly one in three) support it. And that support likely comes from two pillars of the Democratic Party: black voters (43% support, 45% oppose) and Hispanic voters (46% support, 44% oppose).

Even though Trump’s action has broad backing, he faces harassment from pro-invasion groups.

A pro-immigration group suing the Trump administration to unfreeze federal grants for immigration programs says its aim is to provide constitutionally protected due process rights for illegal aliens facing deportation. But the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights’ rhetoric—including in ads it runs on Facebook—suggests it has far more radical goals in mind.

The Washington, D.C., nonprofit, is running advertisements on Facebook soliciting donations to “disrupt Trump’s deportation machine” and to “stop Trump’s deportation dystopia.” Another ad says “See you in court, Trump,” a reference to a lawsuit that the Amica Center has filed to block President Donald Trump’s executive order, “Protecting the American People Against Invasion,” which paused funding for several Justice Department programs that provide legal services for illegal aliens.

Since the last fiscal year, the Amica Center has received nearly $9 million as a subcontractor to provide legal services through the Department of Justice’s Legal Orientation Program (LOP), which informs illegal aliens about immigration court proceedings, according to federal spending records. It is a subcontractor through the Acacia Center for Justice, a federally funded pro-immigration group that claims the immigration system is “intentionally designed” to exploit “Black and brown people.”

Starve them of funding and put them out of business.

Trump is delivering on his promise regarding illegal aliens in the country. He’s shut down the border and he’s deporting the worst of them.

And the country is behind him.

The Broadside | No, We Are Not a Nation of Immigrants

One of my pet peeves—hmm, correction—one of my deeply held frustrations with the ruling class has been their refusal to address the invasion over our southern border for decades. It’s not just been the Democrats, although they have exacerbated the problem through their anti-American hostility, while the Republicans just ignored the problem.

Fortunately, President Donald J. Trump, who just won his third election and has been sworn into office for the second time, is wasting no time in closing the border and deporting illegal aliens at a record pace.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, taking directions from President Donald Trump’s border czar Tom Homan, have arrested over 2,500 illegal immigrants since Trump was sworn into office last Monday.

One of the arguments made by Dilutionists (those who want to dilute the unity of American culture by importing unvetted hordes of third-world welfare cases into the country) is the “but, we’re a nation of immigrants.” In fact, Vice-President J.D. Vance faced off with Margaret Brennan, the propagandist of “Face the Nation” on CBS Sunday morning.

At 3:57 in the video below (cued to that time), after JD Vance says he doesn’t know why we’d allow a person born to parents living temporarily in the US to be automatically conferred US citizenship since there’s no other nation that does that, Brennan replies, “Well, this is a country founded by immigrants,” and gives him a wry “gotcha” smile.

His response wiped the smile off her face. “Just because we were founded by immigrants doesn’t mean that 240 years later, we have to have the dumbest immigration policy in the world.”

Exactly. We were founded by some immigrants. So?

In a terrific article at The Federalist, Brianna Lyman dismantles that argument.

Britain began establishing the 13 original colonies in the early 1600’s. Over the next century or so, hundreds of thousands of Brits moved to the British colonies that were established by settlersnot immigrants. There was no “nation” being immigrated to by the first settlers. The Brits didn’t come to America to join a pre-existing country. It was just land. There were no laws, borders, maps, or written language. The British settlers came to uncharted land to establish colonies under British rule. They were entrepreneurs building this nation from scratch, not immigrants joining a pre-existing nation.

[…]

America was never just a multicultural experiment that began with and requires an endless influx of immigrants (both legal and illegal) to sustain itself. The settlers were not a hodge-podge of random cultures and religions and languages and customs. America was founded by Anglo Protestants who pulled ideas of liberty and independence from Anglo-liberalism, which grounded itself in the idea of equality, freedom, and government controlled by the people (it was most commonly associated with thinkers like John Locke). These settlers forged a new nation, instituted customs, traditions, and a national identity.

And our Founders understood the importance of a national identity, with Thomas Jefferson writing in 1776 that while he is “for extending the right of suffrage (or in other words the right of a citizen) to all who had a permanent intention of living in the country … Whoever intends to live in a country must wish that country well, and has a natural right of assisting in the preservation of it.”

In simpler terms, assimilation was a requirement of anyone coming to America.

But what exactly is to be preserved or assimilated into if the left is correct in that America was “founded” by immigrants and therefore is just a nation of immigrants? Such a premise presupposes that we are merely an ever-changing mixture of the dominant immigrant groups at any point in time.

Most helpful is Lyman’s distinction between “settlers” and “immigrants.” Immigrants are traveling to an established nation; settlers are traveling to an unsettled land to establish a nation. Immigrants are expected to assimilate into the nation they’re joining, not act like settlers establishing their own distinct culture within the host nation.

Yes, foreigners emigrated to the United States after it had become an established nation, and they still do today. But it should be controlled immigration that protects our unique American culture and values, not an uncontrolled mass invasion of third-world peasants and criminals who burden our nation with the cost of their presence and destroy cultural cohesion.

Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s 27-year-old press secretary, held her first press briefing yesterday and addressed this administration’s attitude toward illegals.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was taking questions during her first press briefing since President Donald Trump returned to the White House last week when she was asked about the mass arrests.

“The 3,500 arrests that ICE (U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement) has made so far since President Trump came back into office. Can you just tell us the numbers? How many have a criminal record versus those who are just in the country illegally,” one reporter asked.

“All of them, because they illegally broke our nation’s laws, and therefore, they are criminals as far as this administration goes,” Leavitt replied. “I know the last administration didn’t see it that way. So it’s a big culture shift in our nation to view someone who breaks our immigration laws as a criminal, but that’s exactly what they are.”

The reporter then asked if they all have criminal records.

“If they broke our nation’s laws, yes, they are a criminal,” Leavitt said.

More like that, please.

The Broadside | Trump Accomplished More in One Week Than Biden Did in Four Years

I stopped watching the NFL after they started taking knees during the national anthem, but I’m aware of the standings and, just so you know that I’m a well-rounded guy, I was rooting for Buffalo yesterday. But Mahomes and Co. are headed back for their third consecutive Super Bowl to face Philadelphia.

My prediction: Chiefs by 6.

Trump’s only been in office for a week and I already can’t keep up with all the winning.

Deportations. Firings. Pardons. A blizzard of executive orders.

And the Gulf of Mexico became the Gulf of America.

President Donald Trump moved with dizzying speed during his first week back in power as he began the process of enacting his agenda.

Trump’s aggressive use of presidential power out of the starting gate left some observers stunned and his supporters cheering as he wasted little time delivering on a slew of campaign promises, sometimes in provocative and boundary-testing ways.

Shock and awe, I’d say. Just like the Left does when they’re in power.

Health agencies went quiet after a pause was ordered on external communications. Employees overseeing diversity efforts in the federal workforce were put on leave, with plans to fire them. At least one plane was loaded with undocumented immigrants to whisk them out of the country. Pardons were handed out to nearly every person convicted for storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

The moves sent shock waves from Washington to the nation’s southern border as Trump’s disruptive agenda came into clearer focus.

That is a perfect description of Trump’s agenda. “Disruptive” in the most positive sense of the word.

Much of the transformation was foretold by the president’s hard-charging campaign, where he railed against former President Joe Biden’s policies and promised a radically different approach, and by a transition period that saw him stock his administration with people viewed as eager to dramatically remake government.

Yet the breadth and the tempo of the changes were remarkable.

Trump only has four years to fix what’s broke, or only two years if Democrats were to retake one or both chambers of Congress in the mid-terms. He needs to move at a blistering pace if any of his larger objectives are going to grab and take root.

I like what I’ve seen so far. He’s adopted the “move fast and break things” mindset of tech companies, which iterate quickly. He came into office with a plan and is rapidly putting it into place.

He’s also reacting quickly to unforeseen developments that threaten his agenda. Over the weekend, Colombia’s socialist president, Gustavo Petro, refused to take two planeloads of deported Columbians. Trump and his Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, reacted swiftly, threatening to slap 25 percent tariffs on Columbian imports, revoking visas and financial sanctions.

“These measures are just the beginning,” Trump added. “We will not allow the Colombian Government to violate its legal obligations with regard to the acceptance and return of the Criminals they forced into the United States!”

Less than an hour later, Petro folded. Hardcore.

“Colombian President Gustavo Petro is offering his presidential plane to help repatriate deportees from the US who were set to arrive in the country Sunday morning, the presidency said,” CNN reported.

America is back, baby.

The Broadside | Democrats Try Protecting Their Invasion Investment

As if we didn’t know that Democrats are importing millions of foreigners to create a new class of peasants and criminals who will vote to keep them in power in exchange for handouts funded by the middle class (until they die off or are executed during the eventual purge), the anti-American party made its intentions abundantly clear this week as they whip opposition to a Republican-sponsored bill that will require voters provide proof of citizenship to cast ballots in federal elections.

Republicans are pushing the passage of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, otherwise known as the SAVE Act, which would amend the National Voter Registration Act, and require states to obtain proof of citizenship from voters for federal elections, as well as purge noncitizens from voter rolls.

Democratic leadership is urging its House members to vote against the bill in the lead-up to the vote, saying it would place “an extreme burden [on] countless Americans” in order to vote.

Anyone want to guess what that “extreme burden” is? Anyone? Bueller? The article doesn’t say what it is, but it isn’t hard to guess. Democrats use ambiguous terms and emotional language without any detail such as “extreme” and “burden” and “countless” to drive fear and moral outrage.

But we can guess what the problem is because here’s what the bill would require:

[House speaker Mike Johnson] detailed in the X thread that, if passed, the law would: require “state election officials to ask about citizenship before providing voter registration forms”; require “an individual to provide proof of citizenship in order to register to vote in federal elections”; allow “state officials to accept a wide variety of documents that will make it easy for CITIZENS to register to vote in federal elections”; provide “states with access to federal agency databases so they can remove noncitizens from voter rolls and confirm citizenship for individuals lacking proof of citizenship,” among other directives.

Under the legislation, voters would be required to provide proof of citizenship via IDs and documentation such as a passport, a government-issued photo ID showing proof the individual was born in the U.S., military IDs, or a valid photo ID as well as documentation showing proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate, the legislation states.

Democrats don’t want their new voter base to have to provide documentation like photo IDs, passports or birth certificates. Remember, these are “undocumented migrants.” How can they vote if we demand that they provide proof of citizenship?

And why would the hard Leftists oppose such measures if that’s not what the problem is? The vast majority of Americans have “government-issued” photo IDs because of the surveillance state we live in. Who are these “countless Americans” they refer to as being extremely burdened?

Elon Musk waded into the battle on X.

Yep. We’re not stupid. We know exactly what they’re doing.

And patriotic Americans are waking up to it.

The Broadside | We’re Awash in Illegal Alien Crime

If there’s one thing I will never understand—and I’m not one to throw absolutes around—I mean, never understand, it’s an American who not only supports, but argues and advocates for foreigners breaking our law and entering our country and thereby becoming illegal aliens.

Yes, yes, I know that most precious snowflakes will shudder in horror at the words “illegal” (“no one is ‘illegal’!” they shriek) and “alien” (“they’re ‘migrants'” they insist), but I literally don’t care. I don’t. The term “illegal alien” is written in our laws for a reason: such persons are present illegally and they aren’t American citizens; therefore, they are “illegal aliens.”

The Left has made it a moral imperative to drop such language because it somehow demonizes a class of people “who are just looking for a better life” (cue the quivering lip and outraged attitude). Apparently, because we are the wealthiest nation in history (Solomonic Israel notwithstanding), we are morally required to allow anyone from anywhere at anytime to come and partake of the world we have created.

It’s the rich paying their fair share, writ large.

But the utopia that progressives imagine happening (actually, I don’t think the ruling class imagines it at all—the poor, uneducated masses from third-world countries are simply a tool to accrue permanent power) is hardly what we’re experiencing as we’re overwhelmed by the invasion over our southern border.

It’s like watching the looters during the Burn Loot Murder riots of 2020. They simply broke into the local Target or CVS and stripped it bare, making off with large-screen TVs and cases of cigarettes or bottles of Tylenol or jugs of Tide detergent to sell on the black market. There was no transaction, no thankfulness, no relief from their poverty. It was criminal thuggery.

That’s what we’re getting in spades with the invasion of foreigners that Joey Waffle Cone has facilitated through the treasonous Alejandro Mayorkas who is anything but a Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

A wave of serious migrant crime continues to sweep across America as President Joe Biden and his surrogates defend the wide-open border policies drawing millions of aliens to cascade unvetted across our borders.

American citizens and their children are being stolen from, beaten, raped, and murdered by illegals in every corner of the country even as millions of illegal migrants gobble up federal and state welfare dollars for free housing, free health care, food, clothing, education, legal services and more.

Here are just a few examples of the crime America wave faces.

I can’t reproduce the whole article here, but I’ll give you some examples the author cites in the areas of retail theft, sexual assault and murder.

Early this year, authorities in the western suburb of Oak Brook noted an increase of thefts in multiple retail outlets were being perpetrated by illegals who have been traced back to migrant shelters in Chicago.

Other areas in the Chicago region have also reported gangs of illegals engaged in criminal activities.

Nearby Lake County, Illinois, located just north of Chicago, reported that a migrant gang was suspected of operating a theft ring targeting businesses.

[…]

Also in May, an illegal arrested and accused of raping a teenage girl in Prattville, Alabama, was simply released by Biden’s DHS despite the charges by local police that he had raped a girl in the bathroom of a local restaurant.

[…]

The latest outrageous crime was perpetrated against 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray of Houston, Texas, who was abducted, raped, and murdered under a bridge on June 23. Her murderers were two illegals from Venezuela, Johan Jose Martinez-Rangel, 22, and Franklin Pena, 26.

But little Jocelyn is just one of a long, long list of Americans whose lives have been snuffed out by Joe Biden’s illegal border crossers.

In Feb. Laken Hope Riley, a 22-year-old medical student, was murdered by an illegal alien who crossed the southern border in 2022. The murder occurred on the campus of the University of Georgia – Athens and officials arrested 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra for the crime.

In another case, law enforcement officials accused an illegal immigrant of raping and killing Rachel Morin, a mother of five children, in Bel Air, Maryland. An illegal alien from El Salvador, identified as 23-year-old Victor Martinez-Hernandez, was arrested.

[…]

An illegal alien from El Salvador was accused of shooting two Chick-fil-A employees in Irving, Texas, this month. And a Mexican national was arrested and accused of murdering Ruby Garcia in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

That’s not the half of it. We are being assaulted as a people, as a culture, as a nation.

The people in positions of power have just about destroyed what used to be the United States of America. We’re now a banana republic and, as Doug Wilson says, “we don’t even have the climate for growing bananas.”

I regard anyone who supports illegal immigration as a domestic enemy of our country. I don’t see how it can be any other way, “moral imperative” or not.

Sorry not sorry.

Daily Broadside | Get Ready for One Party Rule

You know you’re being disenfranchised, right?

Tucker’s four points:

  1. There are at least 22 million illegals in the U.S.
  2. Democrats are calling for the legalization of all illegals (at least 22 million new voters)
  3. The overwhelming majority of first time immigrant voters vote Democrat
  4. The greatest margin of victory in a presidential election was 17 million votes in 1984

This is all about a permanent electoral majority. A permanent DEMOCRAT electoral majority.

Here’s some of the conversation that Tucker had with Catherine Engelbrecht from True the Vote.

TC: There is no way to justify an [sic] economic grounds mass immigration in 2024. So once again, why is it happening? And it’s happening for political reasons. It’s happening because the Democratic Party has ceased making case for itself to Americans. And so in order to keep power, in fact, to expand their power and to preside over the one-party state that they desire, they’re going to need a brand new electorate, and this is their electorate. Foreigners will choose your leaders. You’re not allowed to choose the leaders of foreign countries, but foreigners will choose your leaders, including in this election, this 2024 presidential election.

Well, how would that work? It’s illegal, you say, for illegal aliens to vote in a federal election. Well, actually, it’s not illegal, it turns out. Congress passed something in the US Code, the federal code, a line that unbeknownst to the rest of us, makes it legal for illegal aliens to vote in federal elections if they believe they are citizens. It’s a state of mind. Did you know that? We didn’t know that. Most people didn’t know that. Katherine Angelbrecht just found this provision in the US Code. That’s the thing she reads because she’s the founder of True the Vote and has been working on these issues for a few years now. She joins us to explain what she’s found. Katherine Albrecht, thank you so much for coming on.

His point about foreigners choosing our next president—it’s insane, but it’s really the only way to look at it if there’s any truth to it. Tucker goes on to ask Catherine to explain.

TC: Would you mind explaining what seems at first blush a very far-fetched idea that the US Code, as of right now, as of our speaking, would allow illegal aliens to vote in the upcoming presidential election? How would that work?

CE: Yeah. Well, True the Vote The organization I founded some years ago has been long involved in looking at the accuracy of the voter rolls, and we’ve long maintained that inaccurate voter rolls lead to inaccurate elections. With that as a backdrop, we’ve been very concerned about the lack of availability to determine citizenship status, not just by groups like ours, but by states themselves. They can’t get close enough to a citizenship status database to make good determinations. That then led me to look a little deeper, because as you rightly lay out, there’s a motivation here. So what might that be? We’ve seen many, many videos of people coming across the border who are talking about their excitement about voting for Joe Biden and claiming that they are citizens. But yet we hear debates in Congress where the congressmen will say, Don’t worry, the non-citizens can’t vote. It’s a crime of perjury. It’s a felony. So okay, we took a deep look at the criminal code, and Title 18 left us just gobsmacked. Because when you read all the way through it as it lists all of the stipulations against non-citizen voting in federal elections and lays out the Penalties, Therefore, scroll all the way down to the fine print.

What you read is that non-citizens can vote without penalty if at the time they are voting, they believe themselves to be US citizens.

Our UniParty politicians wrote into law that if someone merely thinks themselves a citizen, they won’t be punished for voting in an election in which they have no legal right to vote.

TC: Is there any question that the overwhelming majority of illegal aliens are going to vote Democrat when they vote, and they will vote?

CE: Yeah, I certainly see that the NGOs and the outfits that are bringing them across the country are grooming them for that purpose. That seems to be very apparent. They are immediately given access to all manner of social service programs. Those social service programs have as a portion of the application an automatic voter registration feature. States aren’t allowed to ask for proof of citizenship upon registration. I mean, this is layer upon layer upon layer of dysfunction. Wait, wait, wait.

TC: The Biden administration is registering illegal aliens to vote when they get here?

CE: They certainly are setting up all of the place settings to do it. They are registering them for government sanction programs like Medicaid, like Affordable Care Act. They’re giving them access to food stamps, lodging, other welfare types of programs. All of those programs come with the application. A opt-out voter registration. It is not at all beyond the realm of possibility. That is, that it’s in fact, exactly what’s happening, that non-citizens are being registered. States have no ability to stop it. If you are so fortunate as to find a way to prove this caught in the act, then you refer back to Title 18 that says, That was just a state of mind. So no harm, no foul, and it will be too late.

TC: I mean, so the election already seems rigged.

Exactly. The Democrats have brought in a bought and paid for new electorate and will hand them citizenship right after they give them free food, medical care and shelter.

But the Democrats aren’t even hiding what they’re doing anymore. Right on cue:

Keep this is mind as you go to the voting booth this fall.

Make sure you vote this fall.

Have a good weekend.
