Daily Broadside | It’s Go Time!

Daily Verse | Acts 9:36
In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which, when translated, is Dorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor.

Tuesday’s Reading: Acts 10-12

Tuesday, November 8, 2022 and it’s Go Time. We’ve been waiting for this moment for two years and now it’s time to get out and vote.

Nearly 3 out of 4 citizens agree that the US is headed in the wrong direction: a record.

With that in mind, it’s no wonder we’re seeing the House turning red in multiple polls. Here’s some incentive for you if you need any further motivation. First, The Cook Political Report has 212 seats rated solid, likely, or lean Republican; 187 are rated solid, likely or lean Democrat; and 36 are up for grabs.

Next, Sabato’s Crystal Ball has gamed out the results with a total of 237 seats safe, likely or leans Republican; with a total of 198 seats safe, likely or leans Democrat.

RCP has 227 seats rated solid, likely, or lean Republican, 174 rated solid, likely or lean Democrat, and 34 as toss ups.

FiveThirtyEight forecasts that Republicans will win 230 seats and the Dems will win 205, a 17-seat gain for Republicans.

As for the Senate, most of the predictions I’ve seen suggest that the GOP will take the majority by a thin margin, in the neighborhood of 51 or 52 seats.

Here’s the thing: the predicted results can only happen if we get out and vote, and the GOP needs as many of those “toss ups” as possible to lock in any gains.

Unfortunately, it may be a few days before we get final results. From the Washington Post (HT: Ace of Spades):

Poll closing times vary from state to state, from county to county, and in some parts of the country, from town to town. The earliest results in most states are reported by local voting precincts soon after polls close there. Every state also has different rules for how officials process and count ballots, and these rules determine how quickly results are released.

In 2020, an influx of mail-in and early ballots due to the pandemic caused major slowdowns in vote counting and reporting election results. It took four days for enough votes to be counted for the major decision desks to call the presidency for Joe Biden. Vote counting isn’t expected to be nearly as slow as it was last time around, but there’s a chance we won’t know the outcomes of some key races — and possibly even control of Congress — on election night.

We absolutely can’t be complacent. Remember, they can’t cheat if it’s not close. The way to keep it from being close is to show up and vote.

I’m traveling again this week, so I will miss tracking the results with you. I hope to return with Republicans solidly in charge of the legislative branch.

Have a good week.

Daily Broadside | The “Science” Suddenly Aligns with the Election Cycle

Daily Verse | Leviticus 22:31
Keep my commands and follow them. I am the Lord.”

Thursday’s Reading: Leviticus 24-27

Thursday and I have to correct the record. I wrote here that you’d have to wait until March 2033 to have some fun with numbers like we did on February 2, 2022. A friend reminded me that we have one more opportunity this month on February 22, 2022.

Even better! Make your plans now.

With that public service announcement out of the way, have you noticed that the Democrats and the media—yes, I’m aware I’m repeating myself—have suddenly done a 180 and are now proclaiming that it’s time to lighten up on The Necessary WuFlu Remedies Based on The Science? It’s like everybody suddenly discovered what conservatives and other freedom-loving people have been saying for the last two years: masks don’t work, the lockdowns didn’t work, and we’re just going to have to learn to live with it.

Gee, what could have prompted the sudden turnaround?

Oh. Ohhhh.

“The Science.” The science says that we should move on from Covid.

No, silly, not the “Covid Science.” The Political Science.

Democrats understand that they are facing a massive wipeout come November (notwithstanding the cheating, lying, irregular schemes the crime family known as the Democrats will pull). Brandon is under 40-percent approval rating, which means that he’s an utter disaster in the eyes of the country.

Even his own party is ignoring him.

Four states, all of which have Democratic governors, have announced in recent days that they are going to lift mask mandates for schools. Separately, deep-blue California is going to end its policy of requiring vaccinated people to mask while indoors next week.

But the Biden administration has promised to follow the guidance of scientists, specifically those at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC has not yet issued any change to its guidance on masking.

That leaves Biden in a bind.

The White House risks looking overly cautious on restrictions if it sticks with the status quo — a dangerous political position in a nation that has grown frustrated and restless after two years of pandemic restrictions.

On the other hand, the White House doesn’t want to sound an all-clear that turns out to be premature.

So much science!

Add to that a Monmouth poll showing that 70 percent of Americans agree with the sentiment that “it’s time we accept that Covid is here to stay and we just need to get on with our lives.” Everybody is tired of the two weeks to flatten the curve and the ineptitude of a lying Resident who promised he’d shut down the virus.

Now, some 500,000 deaths later under Brandon’s watch (396,442 people died while Trump was in office), the idiocy of that bit of hubris is plain for all to see. Brandon had to mark the grim milestone of more than 900,000 Covid deaths in the U.S. a week ago.

The main difference in the sense that it is time to move on is due to partisanship – ranging from 89% of Republicans and 71% of independents to 47% of Democrats.

An overwhelming majority of the country wants to move on, but not the Democrats!

This was and is a purely Democrat psyop—especially the Karen corps. My wife was ghosted in person by a US Postal Service Karen just yesterday who asked her to put on a mask and my wife refused. We later learned that USPS employees are required to serve all customers. But this government worker took it upon herself to enforce her personal Karen standard: no mask, no service.

And we fund that Karen’s paycheck.

The Democrats are in flames and they know it. They’re now embracing the idea of moving on from the Peking Lung Pox for the sole reason that they’re going to get demolished at the polls come November. It has nothing to do with “science” and everything to do with saving their cushy seats in the power centers of this country.

They’re hoping you and I forget everything they’ve put us through come the 2022 midterms. But this is not a time to “forgive and forget.” They’ve abused their power for not just “two weeks” but for two years. They’ve destroyed businesses, abused children, killed the elderly, and used the “pandemic” as a pretext to rig a national election.

Far from forgetting, we need to remind them that we’ve watched what they’ve done as they have extended their power beyond anything the U.S. Constitution recognizes and keep them from ever putting their hands on the levers of power again.

This about-face on Covid is a salvage operation. They abused the power that we entrusted to them, and that power needs to be taken away from them.

Daily Broadside | More Evidence That November Will Be a Blowout

Daily Verse | Genesis 47:1
Joseph went and told Pharaoh, “My father and brothers, with their flocks and herds and everything they own, have come from the land of Canaan and are now in Goshen.”

Wednesday’s Reading: Genesis 48-50

It’s mid-week as we grind on, one day at a time, toward the mid-term elections in November. Funny how when your guy is in office there isn’t enough time to get done everything you want, but when the other guy is in office time slows to a crawl and you can’t wait until his term ends.

January 2025 can’t come soon enough. However, Brandon is “in charge” for the next three years, so we still have plenty of work to do in opposing his and his Marxist stooges’ agenda to overthrow what little remains of the American experiment in self-governance. If they have their way, we’ll be little more than a third-world stinkhole, atop which they sit with the riches they’ve accumulated unto themselves.

I have some hope, as I wrote yesterday, that national sentiment is turning against Joey Sugar Cone and he’ll be hampered (legally) by a Republican majority House and Senate. If you want to troll the Left, suggest that the way that will happen is that Trump will be elected as a Rep. from his district in Florida, he’ll become Speaker of the House, which will then impeach Biden and Harris, removing them from office and leaving Trump to complete Brandon’s term since it was stolen from him anyway, and then Trump will run for another full term as president.

That won’t happen, but can you imagine the hysterics and complete meltdown of the Left if Trump was president for 11 years? I LOL very hard at the thought.

Still, one has to be heartened by the cratering approval ratings of the stuffed sock-puppet we know as the Resident.

Biden’s approval rating has suffered a similar decline, from 56 percent in the days following his inauguration to just 42 percent in recent weeks, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average. A Quinnipiac poll published last week measured Biden’s approval rating at just 33 percent, which matched the polling firm’s lowest recorded approval rating for former president Donald Trump in the days after the storming of the Capitol building in January 2021.

Eighty. One. Million. Votes. Either the election was rigged or we’re seeing the greatest case of buyer’s remorse ever recorded in American history. Maybe both.

Put the nose-diving approval rating (could it go even lower?) together with the great evaporation of Democrat leaning independents, add the number of current Democrats who are bailing out ahead of the midterms—29, with only 18 Republicans not seeking reelection—and you’ve got the makings of a major blowout come November. While not getting cocky, this is good news if for no other reason than it can restrain the damage that the criminal enterprise known as the Democrat Party can do to the nation over the remainder of Brandon’s term.

Cultural Marxists have infiltrated and taken over nearly every facet of America that counts: education, politics, arts and entertainment, media, journalism, medicine, law, even certain quarters of the church. They may encounter resistance, but they are determined and indefatigable, always pressing forward, never retreating, never giving in, never giving up. They cannot be appeased, persuaded or bargained with. If they lose, they will come back at it again and again. They will never stop until they are in complete control or they are dead.

People need to wake up to the fact that we’re in a fight we didn’t choose, but it falls to us nonetheless. Winning the House and the Senate in November will help.
