Daily Broadside | A Tsunami of Loss Coming for the Democrats This Fall

Daily Verse | 2 Kings 25:9
He set fire to the temple of the Lord, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down.

Thursday’s Reading: 1 Chronicles 1-5

Thursday and although I deeply resent the presence of Resident Brandon not only for his lack of courage and character, but also for the way in which he attained his office, I admit that his failing mental acuity is a tragedy for him and makes him a more sympathetic figure for those who, like me, do have compassion for those who are handicapped by some kind of physical limitation.

I do have some sympathy for his deteriorating mental condition but — BUT — he and his handlers put him out there in public and he is clearly a menace to our nation. In addition, he’s an insufferable blowhard who thinks stratospherically more highly of himself than his performance allows. Even with all the shucking and jiving the media does to cover for Brandon, the public isn’t stupid, and it’s showing up in the polls.

More important than money, at least to us, is the political environment, which continues to look promising for Republicans. President Joe Biden’s approval rating remains just a little over 40% in averages, with disapproval a bit over 50%. Polls of congressional voting sentiment, the House generic ballot, continue to be relatively close, with Republicans generally up just a few points in averages. But if Biden’s approval continues to be weak, we would expect the Republican advantage to grow in the coming months.

So our main question about the House continues to be not whether Republicans will flip the House — although we would not completely shut the door on Democrats’ retaining control if the political environment improves markedly — but rather how big the Republicans’ eventual majority will be.

Toward that end, we are making 11 House rating changes, all in favor of Republicans

That’s from Sabato’s Crystal Ball. The other is from The Cook Political Report (paywall).

President Biden’s approval rating remains stuck at 42 percent, and if anything the political environment has deteriorated for Democrats since January as inflation concerns have soared and Build Back Better has stalled. That means no Democrat in a single-digit Biden (or Trump-won) district is secure, and even some seats Biden carried by double-digit margins in 2020 could come into play this fall, giving the GOP surprising “reach” opportunities.

This week, we’re moving eight Democratic-held seats into more competitive categories. With these changes, there are 27 Democratic seats in Toss Up or worse, and that list is certain to grow longer when Florida and New Hampshire finalize their lines. By contrast, there are only 12 GOP-held seats in Toss Up or worse – all of which are due to redistricting, not atmospheric factors. Republicans need to net just five seats to regain the House.

Both of these sites are well-respected in their political forecasts, and both are showing major shifts towards Republicans.

In addition, Brandon’s support among the youth vote has completely collapsed, as Stephen Green reports.

Canadian leftie Jeet Heer was sounding the alarm about the “collapse of support for Biden among young” people, which he described as “a disaster.”

That’s in no small part, as Heer also noted, because “Under 44 was the only age group Biden won a majority of in 2020.”
[…]
Snark aside, pollsters call the narrower 18-34 age group the youth vote, and taking just them into account, Biden’s support has dropped 18 points since Election Day, putting him 26 points underwater with a 55% disapprove/29% approve rating.

That’s crater territory.

Even worse, the Resident is down 26 points among Hispanics, and 30 points among Blacks. Black voters have been the most stalwart Democrat constituency for the last 60 years, but that support is falling apart. If you’ve lost a cornerstone of your support and aren’t making any headwind with other constituencies, that can only mean one thing: disaster.

Nothing is guaranteed, but the 2022 mid-terms are shaping up to be a tsunami of loss for Democrats this fall.

Just don’t get cocky, take nothing for granted, and vote.

Daily Broadside | Another New Poll Confirms We’re Done With Biden

Daily Verse | 1 Timothy 6:6-8
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

Friday’s Reading: 2 Timothy 1-4
Saturday’s Reading: Titus 1-3

It’s Friday and we’re headed into the weekend, although the communist junta running our country never rests. You can be assured that they’re aware they only have so much time to inflict maximum damage on our nation through lawlessness, lies, and the perversion of our core institutions like the military, our congressional norms, the Executive Branch, commerce, education, law enforcement, and the judiciary before the voters throw them out, (hopefully forever, but don’t bank on it), starting with the midterms in 2022.

Resident Biden continues to poll in negative territory, with more just-released polls:

[Resident] Biden‘s standing with Americans remains in negative territory heading into the final few weeks of 2021.

The [so-called] president stands at 43% approval and 51% disapproval in a NPR/Marist national survey released on Thursday. A day earlier, a national poll from Monmouth University indicated a 40% approval and a 50% disapproval. Both surveys were conducted in recent days.

An average of all the most recent national polls compiled by Real Clear Politics puts Biden’s approval at 42% and his disapproval at 52%. The average included a large survey from The Wall Street Journal conducted last month that had the [resident] well underwater, at 41%-57%.

In the NPR/Marist report, they found that:

The [so-called] president’s approval rating was just 42% in this survey, tied with a late November poll for the lowest Marist had found since Biden took office.

What’s more, the intensity of disapproval is high — 38% said they strongly disapprove of Biden. That’s close to the territory that President Donald Trump resided in during his term. [Yeah, but Trump had a hostile media, the deep state, and Russia collusion working against him; not so with Biden. — dlo]

While the numbers are a sign of a deeply polarized society, there’s also evidence of lackluster feelings for the [resident] among even people in his own party.

For example, in the survey, while 76% of Republicans strongly disapproved of the job Biden is doing, only 38% of Democrats strongly approved.

Don’t forget that NPR is a left-wing mouthpiece, so any data they share is suspect. Plus, most polling groups oversample Democrats in order to skew results in favor of the Left.

Nonetheless, there’s no getting around just how hard Biden is failing. And don’t forget that only 22% of voters want Biden to run for reelection, and only 12% want Value Pick Harris to run again. Those are unfathomably grim numbers.

Biden’s poll numbers are about the only thing that’s encouraging about this administration.

Of course, we’ve had a couple of successes in blocking some of his more radical moves. His nominee for comptroller of the currency, Saule Omarova, withdrew her name from Senate consideration. “The comptroller of the currency,” writes CNBC, “regulates about 1,200 nationally chartered banks with total assets of around $14 trillion, representing two-thirds of the U.S. banking system.”

You may have heard that Omarova was born in the Soviet Union, attended Moscow State University, called for the destruction of the oil, gas, and coal industries and the elimination of private bank accounts in favor of the Fed holding your money. She’s a straight-up Marxist-Leninist.

Gee, what could possibly go wrong were she appointed to the office?

Then there’s all of Biden’s vax mandates that have taken it on the chin as court after court has blocked them because the U.S. Constitution doesn’t give him that power. Now it sounds like all his mandates have been blocked.

Although we might call them “wins,” they’re really only tactical victories, not strategic victories. Biden assaults the public with his extremist nominees and policies, and we have to act on the defensive to turn them aside. With a presumed Republican House and Senate after the midterms, he’ll be dead in the water (assuming we don’t get more Fake Conservatives like Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney). In order to really get something done, we need to hang onto the majorities for the next couple of years and then win a convincing victory in the 2024 presidential election.

Unfortunately, there’s no guaranteeing a win because our elections have been compromised and the Democrats have tasted the spoils of cheating and foul play. You think they’re going to sit back, especially if Trump is the nominee?

Nothing seems to change by voting harder … but, still, we vote in the hopes that we can wrest our country from its enemies and avoid the inevitable bloodshed that will come if we don’t.

That’s not hyperbole, my friends.

Finally, I leave you with another bit of evidence that even though we live in dismal times, there are pockets of hope that some of our institutions can occasionally function and do the right thing:

Have a good weekend.

Daily Broadside | Biden Job Approval Tanks in Polling Collapse Worse Than Trump Ever Got

Daily Verse | John 12:47
“As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.”

Tuesday’s Reading: John 13-14

Happy Tuesday and the second day of a new month, which I missed acknowledging yesterday. If someone from Ziploc could talk to anyone from the cereal industry — anyone, really — that’d be great.

So there’s a new poll out that shows Biden’s popularity cratering even harder that it was earlier this year. When even NBC’s Chuck Todd is calling attention to it, you may want to pump the brakes.

Todd said, “We have a brand new NBC news poll out this morning still with some scary news for the Democrats. The overarching message, Americans have lost their confidence in President Joe Biden and their optimism for the country. At least they have right now. Just 22% of adults say we are headed in the right direction. A shocking 71% say we’re on the wrong track and that includes a near majority of Democrats who are saying that.”

“At least they have right now,” he says, not wanting to concede that this might be more than a temporary lapse in enthusiasm. You can watch the video at the link.

Nearly 3 in 4 Americans say we’re on the wrong track, including a near majority of Democrats. But Joey Sugar Cone has been flaming out since his inauguration to, you know, restore muh norms and stuff.

Open borders, supply chain shortages, spiking gas prices and empty grocery shelves, snippy “impatience” with vax-refusnics, ramming trillions of dollar of debt down our collective throats in asinine social spending and infrastructure bills, holding J6 protestors without trial for nothing more than vandalism, subverting American education with crackpot Critical Race Theory, allowing BLM and antifa to burn, loot and murder with impunity, tearing down statues of American icons like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, then labeling normal Americans who protest school board decisions as domestic terrorists, the outrageous pullout from Afghanistan leaving Americans behind, killing the Keystone Pipeline while giving the Russians a pipeline into Europe, making us oil-dependent yet again after becoming a net exporter, floating the idea that we give foreigners who broke our laws to squat here and expect the government (read: the middle class) to take care of them some $450,000 a piece, then allowing Joe’s whoring, cocaine-ingesting Ukrainian- and Chinese-money-grubbing troubled artist of a son selling influence for $500,000 per piece for his crap art while all kinds of vile and untrue rumors and hoaxes were perpetuated against a legitimately elected president for four years.

More:

Yeah, Joey is uniting the country. Like this:

Remember, this is the guy who got more than 81 MILLION votes, the most popular presidential candidate in AMERICAN HISTORY! I mean, I’m INSPIRED.

LOL.

Joe Biden’s presidency is a crapload of fabulist theater being played out by junior commies who can’t avoid reality.
