Daily Broadside | Progressive Agitator Alejandro Mayorkas Projects His Massive “Failure of Governance” Onto Greg Abbott

The cultural Marxists, Leftists, racialists, Democrats, progressives, diversity enthusiasts and far left activists are all good at one thing: projection. You can be sure that anything they accuse you of or criticize you for is exactly what they are guilty of.

Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has just provided a clear cut case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas called out Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday, labeling his migrant bussing policy “a remarkable failure of governance.”

Mayorkas, who faces impeachment proceedings in the House for his handling of the illegal immigration crisis, blamed Abbott, a Republican, for failing to cooperate with officials in Democrat-led cities that have been overwhelmed by migrant arrivals.

“Let me identify one fundamental problem here, and that is the fact that we have one governor in the state of Texas who is refusing to cooperate with other governors and other local officials,” Mayorkas said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Emphasizing the need for the country to “stand united” on immigration, Mayorkas said that “it’s a remarkable failure of governance to refuse to cooperate with one’s fellow local and state officials.”

My mind is simply reeling with an avalanche of thoughts — so many that my brain is sputtering. I mean, the audacity!

Mayorkas is being impeached because of his massive “failure of governance” to secure the border. Not only has he not secured the border, he has facilitated the invasion of a horde of foreigners, which is at the root of Abbott’s bussing tactic.

House Republicans have blamed Mayorkas as the border crisis has worsened under his leadership. The Homeland Security Committee will hold its first impeachment hearing into the secretary on Jan. 10 as Republicans accuse Mayorkas of refusing to enforce immigration laws.

For years Texas and other border states have borne the brunt of our government’s intentional, criminal, unconstitutional and anti-American policies that allow foreigners to simply walk over the border and traipse into America without discrimination, investigation, examination, prosecution or follow up. In fact, not only do they not prevent them from entering, they facilitate their journey by ferrying these foreigners all over the country in the dead of night and dropping them off in unsuspecting communities.

For Mayorkas to accuse Greg Abbott of “a remarkable failure of governance” is simply beyond the pale. You want “cooperation”? Then cooperate with the border states by keeping illegals out. You want to bail out your buddies in Democrat-led cities? Then tell them to quit showboating as “sanctuary cities” in defiance of our laws.

Greg Abbott has called the Democrats’ bluff, basically saying, “You boasted about what a compassionate city you were, offering sanctuary to foreigners who are here illegally. Well, since you claim the moral high ground, we’ve got plenty of illegals here to send you. Have at it.”

He’s forcing the progressive Democrats (are there any other kind these days?) and cultural Marxists (but I repeat myself) to live up to their own rules.

4.  ‘Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.’You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.
(Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals)

Apart from a fundamental misunderstanding of Christianity, which is not about rule-keeping, this Alinsky tactic is quite effective at undermining confidence and creating a hot seat of hypocrisy. Abbott is forcing mayors like Brandon Johnson (Chicago) and Eric Adams (New York City) to obey their own rules. If Alinsky is right, they won’t be able to. Both of them are complaining about the busloads of immigrants, they claim to have no place to put them, and they’re impounding busses from Texas.

Racists! Xenophobes!

Mayorkas and his ilk are seeding our destruction by widely dispersing foreigners among us to dilute and then replace the founding Anglo-Saxon culture that built America into the greatest economic, political and military power the world has ever seen. And they have made great progress.

Abbott is one of the few who understand this and is fighting fire with true governance.

Progressives are shameless hacks who accuse others of doing what they themselves are doing. And they do it with absolutely no sense of irony or self-awareness.

Daily Broadside | Illegal Aliens Will Cost Us $451 Billion Per Year

Our southern border is non-existent, the federal government having abandoned any pretense of providing for the common defense. Everything is political now, and the hordes of third-world peasants and fit young men from enemy countries are invading at the express invitation of the Democrats and their like-minded anti-Americans in the media and institutions of “higher” learning as they seek to undermine and degrade America’s dominance on the world stage.

Cloaked in risible bumper sticker slogans like #DiversityIsOurStrength and #NoOneIsIllegal, the onslaught is exacting a toll on us.

Caring for illegal aliens currently within the United States could cost American taxpayers up to $451 billion per year, a Monday interim staff report from House Republicans has concluded.

Originally obtained by the New York Post, the 49-page report entitled “The Historic Dollar Costs of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ Open-Border Policies” became public the same day that the House voted to refer a resolution to impeach the eponymous security official to the Homeland Security Committee.

A vote to impeach that was blocked by Democrats and eight Republicans.

“Every day, millions of American taxpayer dollars are spent on costs directly associated with illegal immigration and the unprecedented crisis at the Southwest border sparked by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ policies,” the report begins. “Only a small fraction is ever recouped from the taxes paid by illegal aliens, with the rest falling on the shoulders of American citizens and lawful residents.”

“Mass illegal immigration, accelerated by Mayorkas’ open-borders policies, now represents a massive cost to the federal government and state governments alike, as well as the pocketbooks of private citizens and businesses,” it continues. “The range of costs inflicted by Mayorkas’ border crisis cover everything from emergency medical care to increased demands on law enforcement to housing and shelter benefits for illegal aliens.”

Illegal aliens pay taxes, but they are dwarfed by the outlay from the American taxpayer.

In the end, Republicans drew damning conclusions about Mayorkas’ job performance from the data.

“It is morally unacceptable that American taxpayer dollars should be funneled to those who violate our laws and demand expansive, taxpayer-funded benefits like education, health care, housing, and more,” the report went on. “Many of these individuals will likely represent a drain on American society for the remainder of their days in the United States, constantly absorbing more benefits from the state than they ever contribute–to say nothing of the fact that they have no lawful basis to remain in the country to begin with.”

Just because it’s a partisan report doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

Right on cue, Trump has promised to deport the masses should he win another term in the White House.

Former President Donald Trump is planning a widespread expansion of his first administration’s hardline immigration policies if he is elected to a second term in 2024, including rounding up undocumented immigrants already in the US and placing them in detention camps to await deportation, a source familiar with the plans confirmed to CNN.

The plans, first reported by The New York Times, would necessitate building large camps to house migrants waiting for deportation and tapping federal and local law enforcement to assist with large-scale arrests of undocumented immigrants across the country.

Should Congress refuse to fund the operation, Trump could turn to a tactic used in his first term to secure more funding for a border wall — redirecting funds from the Pentagon, the source confirmed.

It’s insane.

In a sane world, Mayorkas would be fired and replaced by the president for his failure to secure the southern border. About 8 million illegal aliens have crossed the border during Biden’s time in office, including about 2 million who are gotaways, the ones that no one knows where they are. They didn’t turn themselves into Border Patrol. They ran and spread out through the country. This is Biden’s world and nothing is sane. He did away with the immigration policies in place at the border on his first day in office. He was desperate to prove he was not like the previous president. Word spread quickly and before anyone knew it, the southern border was overwhelmed with illegal immigrants. The rest is history.

Daily Broadside | The Lying Liars Know We Know They’re Lying And They Don’t Care

Daily Verse | Mark 7:8
“You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.”

Friday’s Reading: Mark 8-10
Saturday’s Reading: Mark 11-13

Friday and the end of another week. When we reconnect on Monday, we’ll be on the back half of October already.

One of the reasons I loathe the Democrats is their propensity for lying. It reminds me of what Jesus said about the devil: “When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44). Lying comes as naturally to Democrats as breathing.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas backed up the Biden administration’s narrative last year that Border Patrol agents whipped Haitian migrants even after he knew the narrative was false, according to emails obtained by the Heritage Foundation and reported by Fox News.

DHS assistant secretary Marsha Espinosa alerted Mayorkas on Sept. 24, 2021, to a news article that said the photographer who took the images did not see any whips. “Espinosa highlighted the comments from the photographer where he directly says he did not witness any whipping,” Fox noted.

Mayorkas that same day nevertheless decided to join a Biden administration press conference that pushed the debunked narrative, and he even went so far as to call the images “horrifying” and an example of “systemic racism.” President Joe Biden, meanwhile, made a whipping motion with his hand as he said the photographs depicted “people being strapped.”

This isn’t an “unforced error” or some innocent misinterpretation of photographs. This was a deliberate hoax employed to reinforce and further the narrative that the US is irredeemably racist. As the NY Post puts it, Mayorkas must go: He smeared border agents despite knowing they hadn’t whipped migrants.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has to go. In a bombshell revelation, the Heritage Foundation obtained emails showing his own staff told him last year that reports of border agents whipping migrants near Del Rio, Texas, were false — before he went to the White House and publicly smeared his own agents as racists anyway.

Mayorkas flat-out lied. Just two hours after being informed the very photographer who captured the viral Sept. 19, 2021, pictures of mounted Border Patrol officers confronting Haitian migrants said no whipping occurred, he declared: “Our nation saw horrifying images that do not reflect who we are. We know that those images painfully conjured up the worst elements of our nation’s ongoing battle against systemic racism.”

This is an impeachable offence. We can’t have a peaceable and ordered society when those in charge deliberately corrupt the truth.

But as an executive I once worked for said, “Speed of the leader, speed of the team.” Here’s Brandon flat-out lying that we aren’t in a recession even though we are very clearly in a recession.

He and his whole illegitimate administration are trying to gaslight their way through the miserable state of affairs they’ve forced on the whole nation.

Let’s not forget his fabulism over his son Beau. President Biden incorrectly told an audience in Colorado on Wednesday that his late son Beau “lost his life in Iraq.” His son died in May 2015 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.

His entire Residency is a lie. 81 million votes, the most ever in history, for this shambling poser!

Right.

It’s no wonder that trust in our government is now below 50 percent across all three branches of government.

A recent Gallup poll shows that less than 50% of Americans have trust in either of the three branches of government — President, Congress, Supreme Court — and that this marks the “first time that none of the three branches is trusted by a majority of Americans” …

For the Judicial Branch, 47% said they had trust in the institution; the Executive Branch only earned 43% trust; and only 38% of those surveyed said they had trust in the Legislative Branch.

This isn’t the sole doing of the Democrats; Republicans rightly share blame for the lack of trust in our government. But the Democrats are shamelessly lying and don’t even try to hide it anymore.

We see what you’re doing. You know we see what you’re doing. And we know that you know that we know.

Why do we put up with this?

Have a good weekend.

Friday and the last post of April. Don’t forget to use the “Like” button below my posts. It’s an easy way to let me know I’m connecting with you. (Or not.)

I am convinced by any measure that we’re in an existential fight for the future of America. Middle-America conservatives who are just minding their own business as they diligently raise their families, work their jobs, attend church and take vacations to the beach may not fully realize it yet, but any patriotic, conservative America-first constitutionalist who has been paying attention has no doubt that there are anti-American forces seizing and holding national intellectual and institutional spaces, which is creating a dystopian future right this moment that will crush freedom if it is not just opposed, but actively resisted, stopped and obliterated from top to bottom.

We are seeing it …

… in the suspension of due process being foisted on a small group of American citizens who did nothing more than walk through the capitol at the invitation of the Capitol Hill police on January 6, 2021, still being held without bail and without proof for taking part in a so-called “insurrection” when it was nothing of the sort, while the dirty Democrats and a few turncoat Republican allies conduct an inquisition in the form of the J6 committee, trying to eliminate Donald J. Trump as a threat and disqualify certain Republicans from keeping their seats or standing for reelection;

… in the totalitarian Wuhan flu lockdowns and the make-it-up-as-I-go-along-ism of Tony Faux Chi MD, the highest paid government bureaucrat in the country and his governor imitators across the states

… in the open borders that allow millions of foreigners to invade our land with impunity and live anywhere the government pleases to put them;

… in the promotion of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in our high schools and colleges and in the claim from the DOJ that “white supremacists” are the greatest terror threat to this country;

… in the criminal conspiracy to undermine a duly elected, sitting president by his opponent with the collusion of the FBI trying to frame him as a Russian asset;

… in the destruction of the cohesion and discipline of the armed forces as transsexuals, homosexuals and women are forced into close quarters with men who are supposed to kill and destroy enemy armies, not be pawns in utopian social experiments run by sexual perverts;

… in the censorship of opinions and news on social media that doesn’t fit the woke narrative of the neo-marxists along with the doxxing of anonymous figures who embarrass the Left with their own material;

… in the groomers in public schools who push the sexualization and disfigurement of children as young as five;

… and on and on and on and scoobie-doobie-doo.

The latest development is almost as unbelievable as it is chilling.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas testified Wednesday that a Disinformation Governance Board had recently been created to combat online disinformation and Politico reported that Nina Jankowicz, who previously served as a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center, will head the board as executive director.

The announcement comes just two days after Elon Musk struck a deal to buy Twitter—not that that had anything to do with it, comrade.

Seriously, I’m appalled. I’m not the first to use this term to describe it, but how is this any different from a “Ministry of Truth”? It’s Orwellian. It’s dystopian. It’s tryannical. It’s stinks to high heaven of a centralized nanny-state with the power to ruin your life if you step out of line.

Worse, it’s being set up by the very purveyors of disinformation that it purports to defend against.

They say its purpose is to combat “online disinformation” focused on “irregular migration and Russia,” along with fighting misinformation among minorities and will “reduce domestic threats to the United States.”

With a mission like that, I can’t imagine how it would be abused.

We can’t have a department or “board” like this defining what is misinformation and what is not. And once they do, what are the consequences of spreading misinformation? Are we all going to get January-Sixed?

The establishment of this department violates the First Amendment which, as you recall, prohibits Congress from making any law “respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

And while it specifically says Congress can make no law that would abridge the freedom of speech, that does not mean that the Executive Branch of our government can take it upon itself to do so. The Executive Branch does not have law-making powers. Neither does the Department of Homeland Security.

Reaction was swift.

“A conservative movement that doesn’t fight this with everything it has isn’t worthy of the name. Or the name American.” I’m with her.

Call your Congresscritter and make some noise. Demand that they fight this “monstrosity” tooth and nail. Remind them that we’re governed by the U.S. Constitution that limits the reach of the federal government.

This is a real threat. Once established, it’s hard to kill an organ of the ever-growing Leviathan.

The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land. And We the People are its authors. That means the elites are accountable to us. We’re the boss of them.

Never forget that.

Have a good weekend.

Daily Broadside | Our Country is Being Destroyed by its “Protectors”

Daily Verse | Habakkuk 3:2
Lord, I have heard of your fame;
    I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord.
Renew them in our day,
    in our time make them known;
    in wrath remember mercy.

Happy Tuesday, fellow Broadsiders. I find the skunk cabbage and horse radish bisque a bit salty.

I wish I had encouraging news to share most mornings but, alas, the Biden junta and his junior commies are in control of the levers of power. That means that we’re on a fast track to a morally corrupt and bankrupt system that doesn’t give a $#!+ about our Constitution, the laws that supposedly govern our nation, or We the People. What matters to them is virtue signaling nebulous terms like fairness, diversity and systemic racism, while enriching and keeping themselves in power.

The Great Population Displacement continues apace as our completely objective, unbiased Cuba-born Homeland Security secretary, Señor Alejandro Mayorkas, explained matter-of-factly that 12,000 of the more than 30,000 Haitians who have crossed into Del Rio, Texas, since September 9 have been released into the interior of the United States.

“Approximately, I think it’s about 10,000 or so, 12,000,” Mayorkas told “Fox News Sunday” when asked how many have already been released. He then acknowledged that this number could very well go up as the 5,000 other cases are processed.

“It could be even higher. The number that are returned could be even higher. What we do is we follow the law as Congress has passed it,” Mayorkas said.

He’s a liar. He straight up lies to the American people when he says, “we follow the law as Congress has passed it.” Oh, sure, maybe they “follow the law” after the foreigners are in the country—maybe!—but there is no law that says it’s legal for foreigners to simply jump the border because they want to come into the United States.

Congress has addressed our border with “robust immigration laws” (bold emphasis mine):

People may no longer realize that America has robust immigration laws.  You can find them at 8 USC §1151 et seq.  These laws govern all aspects of admitting non-citizens and non-legal residents into the United States.

The laws are predicated on the idea that America has a border and that it has the right to control that border. Congress addressed not being a public charge, working illegally in the country, bringing in dangerous communicable disease, being mentally ill, and being a dangerous criminal or a drug-runner, and required visas, sponsors, and entering through appropriate checkpoints rather than sneaking in. Stuff like that.

Señor Mayorkas is not following the law “as Congress has passed it.” He’s allowing nearly a million people to jump the border this year rather than “entering through appropriate checkpoints.” Worse, Resident Biden is not only complicit in flouting those laws, he’s the lead offender.

One of the first things Joe Biden did upon entering the Oval Office was sign executive orders that either make it harder for government employees to enforce these laws or require them not to enforce them at all. Thus, he stopped work on a wall that had as its sole purpose preventing illegal aliens from bypassing legal border checkpoints. That is, he made it easier for illegal aliens to sneak in.

He also ordered the “restoration” the U.S. asylum system as it existed before Trump. Trump’s approach complied with the law by requiring people seeking asylum to wait in Latin America until they could formally enter America and make their case. Biden’s reinstated Obama approach allows entry to everyone who claims asylum, assigns all of these people court dates, and then shuttles them into America’s interior, where the administration knows they’ll disappear. This isn’t a legal system; it’s aiding and abetting a federal crime.

Biden is also rolling back the “public charge rule,” along with other barriers to immigration. We all know that executives have power over “rules,” except the whole public charge thing isn’t just a “rule.” It implements 8 USC §1182(a)(4), in which Congress explicitly stated that an alien is inadmissible if “at the time of application for admission … [he] is likely at any time to become a public charge.” Again, Biden is ordering government employees to aid and abet a federal crime.

Along with the lawlessness that has created a crisis on the border, the Resident turns around and denounces the very people who are tasked with enforcing the laws (again, my emphasis):

Last week, the entire Democrat-media complex falsely accused Border Patrol agents of whipping Haitian illegal immigrants who were attempting to cross the Rio Grande River into Del Rio, Texas.

These claims were quickly debunked by Border Patrol officials and the photographer who took the pictures. The agents on horseback were using long reins to control their horses,  twirling them to move their horses forward, not to whip migrants.

Photographer Paul Ratje said he and his colleagues never saw them whipping anyone, but nonetheless, activists and elected Democrats—including Joe Biden—eagerly fueled the racially charged lie to deflect blame for border crisis.

“To see people treated like they did, horses barely running over, people being strapped – it’s outrageous,” Biden said, making a whipping motion with his arm. “I promise you, those people will pay. There will be an investigation underway now and there will be consequences. There will be consequences,” he said on Friday.

It’s maddening. The entire house of cards is crashing and it’s the people entrusted with keeping the house standing who are destroying it.

Why do our federal employees get away with their lawlessness? It’s because they’re a cabal of law-breakers who have each other’s backs. We can’t impeach Biden for his incompetence and willful disregard of the U.S. Constitution because he’s protected by the likes of Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and John Roberts.

There is nowhere to turn.

Daily Broadside | Culture Shock is Being Imposed on Us

Daily Verse | Amos 8:11
“The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign Lord,
    “when I will send a famine through the land —
not a famine of food or a thirst for water,
    but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord.

Happy Tuesday, my Broadside friends. After inventorying my life, I’ve found that I’m low on Flintstones Chewable multivitamins.

Although the Resident and his junior commies in the White House have tried to sandbag reporters’ efforts to report on the southern border, it’s no secret that THERE IS NO SOUTHERN BORDER. You have been paying attention, haven’t you?

The shocking news out of Del Rio, Texas, is that there are now 15,000 foreigners — mostly Haitians — now illegally camped on our soil, with thousands more arriving every day, camped in a shantytown under a bridge.

Some reports say that up to 85 percent of them are Haitian. We don’t share a border with Haiti. Nor does Mexico. So where are these people coming from? How are they getting here?

The Center for Immigration Studies sent a reporter to ask the people themselves where they came from and how they got here, and the answer is shocking for what it reveals about our clueless, incompetent, irresponsible and malicious ruling class.

The surprising answer, which the migrants provided independently in different places and at different times, was universal: on Sunday, September 12, the Mexican government effectively sent a mass of migrants it had bottled up for months in its southern states up to the American border. This move, which appears to have been done under the cover of Mexico’s independence week of celebration known as El Grito, essentially foisted a humanitarian problem onto the Americans in a single week.

Even more disturbing is that once on American soil, many of these illegals will be freed to move around the U.S. unencumbered (my emphasis).

Many are now boarding yet more buses inside the camp, these ones provided by DHS to take them to Border Patrol processing stations. Some may be deported. But most likely will spend a day or two until they get temporary resident permits and a date to appear at an American immigration office in the city of their choice. Then under current Biden policies for families and unaccompanied minors, a great many will be released to travel anywhere in America, boarding yet more buses to those cities and towns.

But here’s the real kicker: most of the Haitians aren’t coming directly from Haiti. They’re coming from countries where they had already relocated and settled (my emphasis).

Based on a report from the New York Times a day or so ago, most are not actually from Haiti anymore, they are resettled refugees from countries such as Brazil, who cannot claim refugee status since being settled. They are economic migrants who are now country-shopping for better benefits packages and prospects. That’s not the same as refugees in flight, much as Julian Castro would have us think.

What are we, on the market? Did someone hang a sign on America announcing, “Vacancy”? Of course they did.

While Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says our border is closed, here’s the terrifying truth: “The surge to the Del Rio sector follows roughly 200,000 Border Patrol contacts in August. According to projections, the southern border will see as many as two million illegal crossings in 2021.”

What this amounts to is a full-scale invasion of our country. We’re not carefully and thoughtfully controlling who and how many people we allow to immigrate here. We’re not trying to preserve our unique American culture and balance our compassion for the tired, poor and huddled masses with a sense of self-preservation. Of course, such thinking is shamed as racist and xenophobic, not intelligent and consistent with a people of consequence.

I’ve said before that the Democrats support population displacement, and this is another example of it. Another example are the 95,000 unvetted Afghans that Biden administration is resettling in the U.S. over the next year — and 10 Republican governors support his plan!

Hey, with “conservatives” like these, who needs liberals?

These people are irreversibly and insanely demolishing the unique American culture we once shared as a nation by replacing born and bred American citizens with masses of third world dependents who think, probably correctly, that the U.S. government will take care of them. Not to mention the incredible financial impact and burden millions of immigrants place on our hospitals, schools and other infrastructure.

In her book, “¡Adios America!” Ann Coulter writes,

“If U.S. schools still taught U.S. history, this would not come as an exciting surprise, but America is not a nation of immigrants. it’s a nation of British and Dutch settlers. We all have a stake in preserving what they created—”we” meaning all of us, except the very rich and the Democratic Party. If America disappears—the America liberals hate and Wall Street is indifferent to—everyone will suffer” and, few paragraphs later, “Once America is gone, there won’t be anyplace left to go.”

The Democrats and quisling Republicans who collaborate with them are intentionally destroying our nation. It doesn’t matter whether you think taking in millions of poor, uneducated and unassimilated people who are ignorant of American concepts like freedom and self-reliance is noble or stupid — you can’t deny that it is transforming the character of our country and what will be lost will never be regained.
