Daily Broadside | Archer Will Testify If He Isn’t Suicided Or Arrested Before Monday

It’s hard to even pretend to be shocked by anything the Resident and his team of mobsters do these days, especially when it comes the Department of Just Us, where any reference to the rule of law and the constitution have been scrubbed when it comes to blindfolded application.

On Monday, Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer is set to testify before the House Oversight Committee to expose Joe Biden’s involvement in Hunter’s foreign business dealings. The Biden administration is doing everything possible to prevent that from happening.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is attempting to arrest Archer on unrelated charges mere hours before his scheduled testimony. On Saturday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York issued a request to trial judge Ronnie Abrams to compel Archer to surrender to authorities.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer was asked about this development on Sunday, during an appearance on Fox News.

“I have in my hand a letter from the Department of Justice that was sent to the Southern District of New York on Saturday,” host Maria Bartiromo began. “By the way, Devon Archer is testifying on Monday — do you ever see … the DOJ send letters like this out on a Saturday?”

“Never, never,” Comer replied. “This is the first time I’ve ever heard of the Department of Justice doing anything on a Saturday.”

When it comes to protecting the Regime, Saturdays are a must. And you must respect the Regime.

“We are aware of speculation that the Department of Justice’s weekend request to have Mr. Archer report to prison is an attempt by the Biden administration to intimidate him in advance of his meeting with the House Oversight Committee,” Schwartz said in a statement, per Politico.

“To be clear, Mr. Archer does not agree with that speculation,” Schwartz added. “In any case, Mr. Archer will do what he has planned to do all along, which is to show up on Monday and to honestly answer the questions that are put to him by the Congressional investigators.”

No sense in getting Epsteined if you don’t need to. Assuming he lives to testify, what will Archer say?

Hunter Biden would dial in his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, on speakerphone into meetings with his overseas business partners, according to testimony expected before Congress this week from Devon Archer, the first son’s former best friend. 

Archer, 48, who is facing jail for his role in a $60 million bond fraud, is scheduled to testify to the House Oversight Committee about meetings he witnessed that were attended by Joe Biden either in person or via speakerphone when Hunter would call his father and introduce him to foreign business partners or prospective investors. 

“We are looking forward very much to hearing from Devon Archer about all the times he has witnessed Joe Biden meeting with Hunter Biden’s overseas business partners when he was vice president, including on speakerphone,” said Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the committee chairman. 

Trying to have a hostile witness arrested and jailed before testifying is sheer intimidation tactics used by communist governments the world over. And now by our government here, in the former United States of America. I don’t know what it is now, but it’s not the America that I grew up in.

The walls may be closing in on Brandon, but I’m not confident that he’ll suffer any consequences. As John Kass, the former Chicago Tribune columnist put it,

Remember that for years the Democrats and their media lickspittles have insisted–and Joe Biden has himself stated emphatically and publicly before the last presidential election, that he knew nothing of his son Hunter’s shady overseas business deals. Of course he knew.

He was the muscle. And Hunter, like his Uncle Jim before him, was the bagman. The guy who carried the treasure to “The Big Guy” or “President Ten Percent.”

Those of you who know Chicago know how this works–The Delaware Way is the American Way is the Chicago Way. And how do you keep the suckers from ‘beefing’ or ‘complaining?’ You control the media to suppress problematic facts. And do they ever control it.

Now you understand why the Democrat Media Complex was so furious with voters after the mid-term elections. They would be exposed. All the rocks would be turned over. There were no moist corners in which to hide.

The great heavyweight champion Joe Louis had a saying, “They can run but they can’t hide.” Eventually they’d be trapped and take a public beating.

I’d like to think that  is true, but the difference being that there is a great political machine between Biden and his opposition. They protect Biden and take the punches for him and then counter-attack with deadly vengeance, and as long as there are low-information voters out there (i.e. stupid, easily manipulated voters) who don’t read and don’t pay attention. These are the true chumbolones who steadily consume corrupt media the way diabetics guzzle soda-pop. And it is through this stupidity–most of it demonstrated by Democrats during big-city elections, that guys like Joe and Hunter Biden are protected and saved.

A thoroughly corrupt “president” presiding over a thoroughly corrupt administrative state, with a thoroughly corrupt son who took money to fuel his drug and whoring habits with “ten percent to the Big Guy.”

They deserve to be taken down, and hard.

It’s Wednesday and middle of the week. Everything is smooth sailing from here, right?

Wrong.

The FBI has become a politicized arm of the Democrats to intimidate, harass and make the subject of lawfare anyone who actively opposes the Left or doesn’t keep their mouth shut.

A well-known pro-life author, sidewalk counselor, and father of seven was the latest victim of a U.S. Department of Justice-sponsored SWAT raid and arrest — for supposed “FACE Act” violations — at his rural home as his children looked on “screaming.”

Mark Houck is the founder and president of The King’s Men, which promotes healing for victims of pornography addiction and promotes Christian virtues among men in the United States and Europe.

According to his wife Ryan-Marie, who spoke with LifeSiteNews, he also drives two hours south to Philadelphia every Wednesday to sidewalk council for six to eight hours at two different abortion centers.

Ryan-Marie, who is a homeschool mother, explained the SWAT team of 25 to 30 FBI agents swarmed their property with around 15 vehicles at 7:05 a.m. this morning. Having quickly surrounded the house with rifles in firing position, “they started pounding on the door and yelling for us to open it.”

What did Houck do to warrant such an overwhelming show of force? Did he firebomb an abortion clinic? Did he murder an abortion doctor? Did he rally white supremacists to pound on the doors of the local Planned Parenthood?

No, no and no.

Houck was accused of, get this, “violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, due to a claimed ‘ATTACK OF A PATIENT ESCORT.'” Exactly what did Houck do?

Ryan-Marie stated this charge comes from an incident that had already been thrown out of the District Court in Philadelphia but was somehow picked up by Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice.

On several occasions when Mark went to sidewalk counsel last year, he took his eldest son, who was only 12 at the time, she explained. For “weeks and weeks,” a “pro-abortion protester” would speak to the boy saying “crude … inappropriate and disgusting things,” such as “you’re dad’s a fag,” and other statements that were too vulgar for her to convey.

Repeatedly, Mark would tell this pro-abortion man that he did not have permission to speak to his son and please refrain from doing so. And “he kept doing it and kind of came into [the son’s] personal space” obscenely ridiculing his father. At this point, “Mark shoved him away from his child, and the guy fell back.”

“He didn’t have any injuries or anything, but he tried to sue Mark,” and the case was thrown out of court in the early summer.

This incident happened in October 2021—a full year ago!

Here’s another example:

Then there is the issue of the FBI raiding a business in Beverly Hills. Agents had a warrant because there was cause to believe that there was criminal activity going on, specifically drug trafficking and money laundering. But while agents were on-scene, they also broke into safety deposit boxes belonging to customers and seized the assets and money inside. The FBI maintains that everything was above-board, but the Post Millennial has information that the judge who issued the warrant was misled. Specifically, the warrant did not show that the agents intended to permanently confiscate everything in boxes that contained at least $5,000 in assets.

Paula Bolyard observes:

Once again, we see Joe Biden’s two-tiered justice system at work. Remember when news dropped that the Supreme Court was set to overturn Roe v. Wade and the violent left attacked more than 50 pro-life centers? Guess how many people have been arrested in connection with those attacks? Not a single one. PJ Media’s Robert Spencer reported:

Nonetheless, it’s clear that Biden’s Justice Department, which took the highly unusual step of openly dissenting from the decision overturning Roe and has been decidedly reluctant to protect conservative Supreme Court Justices from illegal protests at their homes, is hardly making the protection of pro-life centers a high priority. No one has been arrested from the pro-abortion group Jane’s Revenge, despite its open threats to pro-lifers. “We will hunt you down and make your lives a living hell,” the group has said. This is, it says, a “war” against pro-lifers.

Then there are the two FBI whistleblowers, Steve Friend and Kyle Seraphin. Both have been suspended as retaliation for their disclosures (although Friend’s is a de facto suspension because his security clearance was revoked, making it impossible for him to do his job).

As Ace writes:

One major point he makes is that the FBI has shifted from a crime-investigation organization to an intelligence organization.

This is important. Consider: To investigate you criminally, a law enforcement investigation first needs grounds to suspect you have committed a specific crime. There is a necessary predicate to justify digging into you. It’s not a high threshold, but it is a threshold.

But to open up an intelligence probe of someone, you don’t need any predicate of a crime. All you need is… well, you knew this guy and he knew this guy and you’re all conservatives and this other conservative once posted to a “Stop the Steal” FaceBook group. And now they can begin spying on you.

This is a huge shift in mentality.

And it turns the FBI into a general State Security Police, a general Stasi, a general KGB. They can investigate whoever they want. And no longer are they limited to investigating people for at least having some ties to a suspected overseas intelligence organization or handler; no, now it’s enough that you have some connection to any rightwing group or person they don’t like.

Add to all of this the highly suspect DOJ raid on President Donald J. Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago on ludicrous charges, the FBI’s suppression of Hunter Biden’s laptop and the role the FBI had in framing Trump as a Russian spy, and it’s clear that the agency needs to be razed and the earth salted.

But it’s not going to happen. I’ll say it again—be ready for more and more of this as the “government” expands its abuses of power, all with Darth Brandon’s blessing in his September 1 speech at Independence Hall.

We’re going to be made to care.

Happy Thursday, Broadsiders. Thanks for sharing your time with me.

There’s something very wrong with our government. As I wrote yesterday, the conflict we’re seeing in our country is ultimately between those who support the Judeo-Christian values upon which our government was founded (whether or not they are truly Christ followers) and those who deny God and want to supplant him with themselves as ruler. It’s the age-old dilemma of Man v. God and I can tell you right now that, in that engagement, it will not end well for man.

That’s at the core of the dilemma we face, but when I say something’s wrong with our government, I mean that it’s been inverted. Our Constitution starts with the words, “We the People” for a very good reason: we determined to govern ourselves. It was we, the people, who set up our system of government by writing and ratifying a law—the U.S. Constitution—to which all other governance in the U.S. must submit. It is the highest law of the land.

The people passed that law establishing a stronger central government over these United States. It’s the only law passed by we the people. Because it was written by us, that means that, technically and legally, all other forms of governance and governors under that Constitution are subject to our oversight. We did not pass that law to establish such government and then say to it, “Feel free to do what you want, we’re your subjects.”

But that’s not how it feels in today’s society, does it? Do you get the sense that the federal government is concerned at all about whether they’re following the will of the people as expressed in the Constitution? Do you get the sense that all of our state legislatures and governors are following the will of the people as expressed in the Constitution? Do you think that the judicial system we established has carefully ensured that they have faithfully applied the Constitution to their decisions free from their political biases?

If we’re honest, we have to admit that in today’s United States the inverse is true: we the people have become subject to the political agendas of those elected to high office. Our “representatives” aren’t concerned about whether they’re governance is Constitutional. One only has to look at all the federal “alphabet” agencies and the rules and regulations they create to know that Congress outsourced the legislative responsibilities the Constitution gave only to them.

All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives. — Article I, Section I: Congress

Congresscritter A: Hey, I’ve got an idea! What if we make a law that gives someone else the job of making laws?

Congresscritter B: Wait, why would you do that if the Constitution only gives us that role?

Congresscritter A: If we delegate our law-making role to a bunch of unelected bureaucrats then the people can’t blame us for bad laws. If they can’t blame us for bad laws, we get re-elected!

Congresscritter B: Oh, I see. Then we can sit on committees to “oversee” the bureaucrats and call them in to testify when things go wrong and pretend that we’re representing the people! What a country!

No, to the extent that they are concerned at all about the Constitution, it’s about being elected “by the people” then taking that as a vote of confidence to shove their political agenda through the system and finding ways to either evade the Constitution or weaponize it—such as twice impeaching a president to tarnish his standing and legacy.

The government that we the people authorized to “insure domestic tranquility” has intentionally dissolved our southern border and allowed hundreds of thousands of foreigners to flood our nation unchecked, essentially becoming wards of the state because they’re dependent on government handouts funded by the money they take from us.

The government that we the people formed is now calling parents “domestic terrorists” for objecting to the sexual perversion and Marxist indoctrination being foisted upon their children by government-run (public) schools.

The government that we the people created serially undermined, hampered, harassed and lied about an elected president’s relationship with Russia and spent millions of our hard-earned dollars “investigating” what they knew was a bogus case—and those responsible have not been punished according to law.

The government that we the people established to “promote the general welfare” has instead taken to promoting the welfare of only certain groups identified by the color of their skin, their sexual preferences, their political bias and any other category by which they can divide us.

The government that we the people oversee now passes trillion-dollar “budgets” that are thousands of pages long without giving legislators time to read and understand what is in them, robbing us of our wealth in the present and our children in the future to pay for it all.

You get the idea.

I’m not saying that there aren’t, can’t or won’t be differences of opinion or that our leaders can achieve complete neutrality or that they will get every decision right. But it’s clear that the government we forged has become an elitist cabal of grifters detached from the law they are supposed to preserve, protect and defend, who have in mind only their own interests—money, power, notoriety—or those of “special interest groups,” which means they are more concerned with pleasing their base than the whole of we the people.

Often misattributed to Thomas Jefferson, it was John Basil Barnhill who said, “Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty.”

What is very wrong with our government is that it does not respect or fear the people, who are its rightful masters.
