Daily Broadside | Will You Comply This Time Around?

You might recall that last week I described myself as being sick and having to take a couple of days off from work. I figured it was a head cold, as I cycled through a sore throat, then a cough, then it moved up into my nasal cavity, then sneezing, then having a couple of days of blowing my nose, then congestion, then, finally, most of that clearing up but feeling a bit winded.

I told myself that if it didn’t go away within a week, I’d go get myself tested for the Fauci-funded Chinese Bat Flu. I had a couple of friends ask me if it was COVID, but I really didn’t think it was.

Now I’m pretty much back to health and it’s only been nine days since I had the first symptoms, so I didn’t go get tested. But I’ve now heard that at least one person I know experienced the exact same thing as I did and thought it was a cold, but later confirmed that they did indeed have COVID.

That makes me think that I probably had COVID, too.

If you haven’t heard, new strains of the Chinese Lung Pox are making a comeback this summer.

A second American tested positive for the new highly-mutated BA.2.86 Covid variant that has been causing global alarm over its rapid transmission.

The positive case was detected in an asymptomatic patient in Virginia who was tested August 10 after returning to the US from Japan

Oh noes! A whole two Americans have been identified with the variant and one of them wasn’t even showing signs of illness!

Batten down the hatches!

Scientists identified the case in a database that contains test samples from a small number of travelers entering the US. Independent experts told DailyMail.com they believe the new strain is spreading more widely and in more US states.

The new variant, also spotted in Michigan last week, is causing concern because it stems from an ‘earlier branch’ of the coronavirus, so it differs from the variants targeted by current vaccines.

That concern, combined with an uptick in positive tests across the US, has spooked an Atlanta college and the Hollywood studio Lionsgate into mandating face masks again. But while Covid rates are rising in the US — hospital admissions are up for the fifth week in a row — they remain at near-historic lows.

COVID hospitalizations have risen for the last five weeks, prompting the implementation of mask mandates by Lionsgate studios, who also require employees to self-test before going to the office.

You know, because it worked so well the last time we all did that.

There are reports circulating that colleges and offices are beginning to reinstate COVID mask mandates and contact tracing despite no new cases of the virus being reported.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday that Morris Brown College, a black private liberal arts college has reinstated the measures as part of a “precautionary step.”

The report notes that students and staff will all be asked to mask up while on campus, only one week after classes began.

A communication issued by the college claims there have been “reports of positive cases among students in the Atlanta University Center,” a consortium of black colleges and universities located on the western side of Atlanta.

And the timing is amazing as the presidential campaign season kicks into high gear. And we all know how that worked out in 2020.

Here’s my advice: say no to the mandates. Any mandate.

None of that slowed the spread of the virus. Not the masks, not the social distancing, not the “vaccines,” not any of it. We would have been better off letting it run its course without any of that.

The worst part of it is the government overreach. Led by Fauci, courtesy of Trump (probably his worst mistake) and followed by Brandon, these monsters wrecked our society and killed thousands by their insane demands.

No more. We’ve been down that road once and I, for one, am not going down it again.

I will not mask. I will not vaccinate.

I will not give our overlords the benefit of the doubt again. They lied to us for profit and power.

Not just no. Hell, no.

Daily Broadside | Liberal is Alarmed by “Satanic Level of Evil” Taking Root in West

Daily Verse | Leviticus 1:1
The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting.

Thursday’s Reading: Leviticus 4-7

Thursday and in case you missed it, yesterday was 2/2/22. Wondering what you were doing at 2:22:22? Can’t do that again until 2033, so start planning now.

Today’s post is very simple. I want to call your attention to an essay that Naomi Wolf wrote, the second in a series of three that she’s writing, on her observations of what’s happened over the last two years with the start of the Chinese Lung Pox. While both published essays are worth the read, it’s the second that is required reading because it begins to get at the uneasiness a lot of us, including me, are feeling.

Wolf is, as she openly admits, a progressive or, as she wrote in the first essay, a member of “[t]he progressive, right-on part of the ideological world — my people, my tribe, my whole life.” This is important to understand, because she is not writing from a conservative point of view, which makes her essay more honest (in my opinion) and more urgent. I’m going to quote her at length, but I highly encourage you to read the whole thing.

Here’s how she starts the second essay:

My first post in this three-part series, about how the evil that surrounds us has manifested, was about the elite global technocrat class and their distance from the people whose lives they may crush; I noted too their lack of belief in, or loyalty to, the nation-state. Added to this toxic mix, I argued, is the certainty of this class of people that they know best about your life.

I made the case in that essay that surrounding us now was a metaphysical, seemingly a Satanic, level of evil.

I am seeking to explain in this series of essays, how otherwise nice people — and indeed Western people, who grew up with post-Enlightenment norms about human rights and the rule of law — can be doing evil now, with whole hearts.

Her acknowledgement that the situation we find ourselves in because of the WuFlu is “evil” is also important to understand because, in that first essay, she admitted that while she “can’t say for sure that God and God’s helpers exist,” the current situation is so evil that she’s been forced to consider that God might be there because “an evil this large must mean that there is a God at which it is aiming its malevolence.”

She goes on in this second essay to point out that we’ve seen this before.

Some leaders and commentators (including myself) have passionately and publicly been comparing these years, 2020-2022, in the West and in Australia, to the early years of Nazi leadership. Though we face criticism for doing so, I won’t be silenced about this. The similarities must urgently be addressed.

She explains that most of us associate the years of the Nazis with atrocities from their invasion of Poland in 1939 to the end of the war when the allies liberated the concentration camps. But that’s not what she’s comparing.

Rather, the vivid similarities between our moment in the West since 2020, and the earliest years of Nazi Germany’s civil society policies, are to the years 1931-33, when so many vicious norms and policies were set in place. But these were often culturally or professionally policed, rather than being policed by camp patrols. That’s the point that better-informed analysts of these similarities, are making.

That is to say, during these years, mass societal cruelty, and a two-tier society itself that perpetuated this cruelty, was built up and policed, as like today, by polite civil society institutions tasked with snarling and baring its teeth.

Casual, escalating cruelty, a culture of degradation of the “othered,” and a two-tier society, were built up in those years certainly at the behest of Nazi social policy. But the construction of a world of evil out of what had been a modern civil society, if a fragile one, was also endorsed and even policed by doctors, by medical associations, by journalists, by famous composers and filmmakers, by universities; by neighbors, by teachers, by shopkeepers — for years before the death camp guards were tasked with their own far more heinous cruelty.

All emphases mine. She then draws a parallel to what we’re experiencing today across the U.S.

As today, emergency laws then were the benchmarks that would allow democracy to collapse. “Hitler wanted full powers like Mussolini’s in Italy,” writes Elon. “He knew exactly what was needed to turn a government into a ‘legal’ dictatorship: emergency powers under Article 48.” [Elon, 389].

See if you notice any echoes here. Currently, forty-seven US states are operating with emergency measures, which suspend or bypass normal legislative checks and balances, including New York, the state in which I am writing. Under emergency measures, pretty much anything can be done.

The fact that people don’t seem to understand that most of the country is living under emergency measures, is what is stunning about our current moment. This is why I keep saying these days that the coup d’etat has already taken place in America. By definition, when you are living under emergency measures, you no longer have a functioning democracy.

After establishing the parallels, here’s how she sums up our current situation.

Let me just summarize where we are right now in America, as well as in the West, in case you have gotten too used to it to see it clearly. I warned in The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, that democracies usually do not die with a cinematic scene of goose-stepping Brownshirts suddenly in the streets. They tend to die, rather, just as Elon described — incrementally, day by day, collapsing grotesquely in some areas of society and in regards to some institutions, even as other aspects of society and other institutions look and feel, at least superficially, exactly the same as they did before.

Just because the settings are familiar to us now, does not mean that a 1931-like reality, if not yet a 1933-like reality, isn’t upon us.

The rest of her essay, which, again, I strongly encourage you to read, is a long list of how a “1931-like reality” is manifesting itself among us, and then concludes, “What do you call all of this, if not an early Nazi-like set of practices?”

Wolf is Yale- and Oxford-educated, with a doctorate, and is a student of history. She’s no slouch and has been writing for years for progressive outlets. Yet, she is extremely concerned about what she sees happening in our country and in the West. It’s for that reason that she’s someone worth listening to.

Daily Broadside | Vaccines Don’t Work the Way You Might Think

Daily Verse | Isaiah 48:11
For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this.
How can I let myself be defamed?
I will not yield my glory to another.

Happy Monday, my friends. I’d be a bazillionaire if I could cork black holes.

The block party on Friday night was a rousing success. The forecasted rain held off until the event was over. We had a crowd that stayed for the whole thing and we met a lot of people up and down our street we had never met before. A few families from a street north of us and a street south of us also came, so we got to meet people on other blocks in the larger ‘hood. Feedback was consistently positive that this was “a great idea” and “we needed this” and that we should do this “every year.” Which I think we’ll do. Others were inspired to pull the group together again as soon as an Oktoberfest is appropriate.

Nobody wore masks during the event, even though there were kids under ten to adults over 70 who were there. Unfortunately, the CDC and the illegitimate junta in the White House are sabre rattling about renewing mask mandates, requiring vaccine passports, and threatening to lock everything down again. In light of the renewed pandemic posturing, I want to call your attention to a couple of resources.

The first is called the Warrenton Declaration, a document of 36 statements which was “created in order to provide doctrinal clarity and coherence on issues of biblical authority and ethics related to medical mandates.” When I say that this blog is about “faith, culture and politics,” a document like this is the perfect blend of all three as the church comes to terms “with what it believes related to the intersecting areas of biblical ethics [faith], authority [culture], and medical mandates [politics].”

There are two main sections of the declaration: 1. “Authority” and 2. “Application to Medical Mandates.” The first section covering authority can be summed up as affirming that all authority everywhere belongs to Christ Jesus, and that all offices of human authority are subordinate to, and derivative of, his full authority.

The final statement in section one affirms that disobedience to authorities is “permissible should any command be given outside of the jurisdiction of the particular authority. For example, throughout history, civil governments have sought to force individuals into certain vocations, foisted improper controls over affairs of the church, and imposed restrictions over the number of children that a family is permitted to have. Frequently, these kinds of orders are claimed to be for the “greater good” of the public. To whatever extent these commands would not have required anyone to sin, obedience is still not morally obligated since these commands are outside the jurisdiction of the authority making the commands” (my emphasis).

Section two is the application to medical mandates of the affirmation and denial statements in the the first section. This section is made up of 21 statements, at the core of which are these (with my emphasis):

XXIV. WE DENY that the existence of communicable viruses, viral testing mechanisms, or the invention of vaccinations creates a new standard of morality whereby a healthy person simply conducting their affairs in society without vaccination, viral testing, or wearing a mask is evidence of criminally or morally reckless behavior. Moreover, if such a standard for violation of medical freedom is adopted, conceivably, civil governments could permanently regulate and restrict every facet of life since according to this same rationale, various flu-like viruses can be unknowingly spread at all times. Further, there are a host of other far more deadly dangers such as heart disease, which, like virus-related hospitalizations, also place a burden on the health system. The civil government does not then gain authority to ban soda intake for obese individuals.

XXV. WE AFFIRM that a biblically faithful view of the civil government sphere as well as the ecclesiastical government sphere provides no lawful jurisdiction for civil magistrates or ecclesiastical authorities to mandate or in any way coerce individuals to inject substances into themselves or their children or cover their mouths, noses, face, or any combination thereof, with masks.

XXVI. WE AFFIRM that any civil or ecclesiastical authority that attempts to coerce individuals or their children with any form of public banishment, fine, imprisonment, social ostracism, or other forms of coercion for not wearing a mask or injecting a substance into their bodies are ascribing to themselves authority not delegated by God and are in grievous sin (Matt 19:14Tit 3:101st Cor 1:10Rom 16:17).

In other words, there is no biblical support for civil or ecclesiastical authority that tries to force you or your children to inject a vaccine into themselves as a moral obligation or otherwise. I encourage you to read the whole thing.

The second resource I want you to listen to is this brief primer on respiratory viruses from Dr. Dan Stock during an Indiana school board meeting. It will be educational and underscore how anti-science the CDC and other leading “authorities” are being with their recommendations.

https://youtu.be/k5ElH3aZdtQ

His conclusion? The CDC, NIH and the Indiana State Board of Health are giving Hoosiers counter-factual guidance. It is excellent because he knows his material, speaks without notes and there isn’t a hint of pretense. If you think you need the vaccine, by all means, get it. But do it with informed consent, not as a result of government coercion.

My biggest fear is that our “authorities” recognize the Peking Lung Pox as an opportunity to train the populace to obey their mandates. There really is no scientific or moral reason behind the panic over Covid. So why are the politicians and drug makers and Bill Gates’s and Dr. Fauxchi pushing the vaccine so hard?

It’s about power, control and money. Reject the intrusion of government mandates on our Constitutional rights.

Daily Broadside | Is the Vaccine Turning Us Into Hot Spots?

Daily Verse | Job 4:15
“A spirit glided past my face, and the hair on my body stood on end.”

Thursday and day 441 since President-in-Exile Trump declared the Chinese Lung Pox a national emergency on March 13, 2020. Elvis is living in Peoria with Amelia Earhart under an assumed name.

I have my doubts about the Coronavirus vaccines. Actually, it’s gone way past “doubts.” I am not going to get the vaccine and I wouldn’t encourage anyone I know to get the vaccine.

That’s not to say that if you want to get the vaccine I’d stand in your way. It’s your choice. But I’ve heard enough just in my circles of relationships to raise my suspicions about the vaccine.

Nationally and internationally, there are thousands of reports of women experiencing menstrual irregularities and reproductive dysfunction. They are experiencing unusual bleeding, even in those who are menopausal, women are experiencing vaginal hemorrhaging, men and women are getting blood clots or bloody noses, and swelling in the genitalia.

Here’s a report from Life Site News in which they list the conditions people are experiencing:

The U.K. Yellow Card program reports 1,465 reactions involving reproductive systems as well as 19 “spontaneous abortions” (miscarriages), five premature labors, and two stillbirths in association with the AstraZeneca vaccine as of April 5.

The reports include:
۰ 255 cases of abnormal uterine bleeding
۰ 242 reports of unusual breast pain and swelling
۰ 182 women who experienced absent or delayed menstruation
۰ 175 cases of heavy menstrual bleeding
۰ 165 cases of vaginal hemorrhaging
۰ 55 reports of genital swelling, lesions, rashes or ulcerations
۰ 19 cases of postmenopausal hemorrhaging
۰ 12 cases of premature or “artificial” menopause

Another 768 reports of “reproductive and breast disorders” have been reported for Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine in the U.K., as well as 42 “spontaneous abortions,” five premature labor onsets, and two stillbirths.

These include:
۰ 265 reports of breast changes, including 22 reports of breast cancer and 177 reports of breast pain
۰ 134 cases of irregular menstrual bleeding
۰ 127 reports of absent or light menstruation
۰ 92 cases of heavy bleeding
۰ 73 cases of vaginal hemorrhaging
۰ 5 reports of postmenopausal hemorrhaging
۰ 5 cases of premature or ‘artificial’ menopause

Male reproductive disorders are fewer, but 75 Yellow Card reports on AstraZeneca’s vaccine include 63 erectile dysfunction reactions, 50 cases of testicular pain, 11 cases of scrotal pain and swelling, and three reports of haematospermia, or blood in sperm.

Pfizer’s Yellow Card includes 22 reports of testicular and scrotal pain and 21 counts of sexual dysfunction.

Lovely, isn’t it? It gets worse.

People who have not been vaccinated but who are in contact with those who have been vaccinated are beginning to exhibit the same symptoms. We’re not talking about intimate contact—just being around people who have been vaccinated is affecting the unvaccinated.

The theory is that the vaccination is “shedding,” a term that means a vaccinated person is passing the vaccine to others in their daily interactions. Another article on Life Site News explains, “the genetic material and particles of the shots inside the body of the vaccinated person can be transmitted to anyone through several ways, including breathing and sweating. Ardis backs up his statements with a 146-page document from Pfizer, which he says admits this information” (my emphasis).

Got it? You can inhale vaccine particles and your health can be compromised just by being around someone who is vaccinated.

Five medical doctors are suspicious that the Covid vaccine is actually a weaponized drug, a bio-weapon. You can watch their discussion here. One of the doctors, Dr. Carrie Madej, has concerns about one of the ingredients in two of the vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer).

“One of the key components is the nano-lipid particles, which are brand new technology on humanity. They’re using a nano-technology which is pretty much little tiny computer bits. They actually can be nanobots, or another word is hydrogel. There’s all different kinds of terms and names for the very same structure, but inside of those two vaccines is this sci-fi kind of substance.” (16:10)

She goes on to explain how the “computer bits” have the ability to act through wi-fi, meaning they can transmit and receive energy. Then she says, “that issue has never been addressed by these companies. What does that do to the human?”

Indeed. What are they doing to us?

We have no idea what the government is encouraging us to inject into our bodies. And because of that, and because I no longer trust the government or our “top” scientists like Fauxci, or our drug manufacturers, I will stay far away from the vaccines for a virus that has a 99.8 percent survivability rate.

And because the vaccines shed, putting the rest of us at risk, I may end up having to wear a mask to prevent being infected by the vaccine.

The irony isn’t lost on me.

Daily Broadside | When the Bubonic Plague Arrived, Christians Responded Fearlessly

Daily Verse | Nehemiah 4:14
“Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”

Welcome to Tuesday, my friends. Why does everything good for you taste like it isn’t?

To say that the Coronavirus pandemic has been a preoccupation for our nation and for countries around the world is to understate the case. Wearing masks, social distancing, washing hands, shutting down businesses, closing schools, quarantining everybody (not just those who are sick) and getting the vaccine (or not) have been at the center of our social lives for the last 14 months since “two weeks to flatten the curve.”

The pandemic has also proven to be very divisive, with people opposing each other over mask mandates and generally making life more difficult for everyone over concerns of “safety.” Those who see masks as useless are thought to be inconsiderate and potentially lethal threats to those who believe masks and social distancing will keep them safe, while people like me consider demands to wear a mask to protect others to be a misplaced responsibility.

The chaos and division in society spurred by the pandemic has even, perhaps unsurprisingly, affected the Christian Church. Churches initially cooperated with government orders to quarantine to help stop the spread of the virus. When government began choosing which businesses or services were “essential” and which weren’t, churches were surprised to learn that they weren’t considered essential, provoking legal confrontations between them and the state.

Even worse, the virus caused church members to divide over those who wore masks and those who didn’t, and those who wanted to keep meeting and those who trusted the “reopening plans” of their state government.

As I’ve been reflecting on all of this recently, it occurred to me that the Church’s response to this pandemic has been very different from how it responded in the past. For instance, one of the earliest plagues was The Plague of Cyprian (249–262 AD) that, at its height, caused 5,000 deaths a day in Rome. Yet Dionysius, bishop of Alexandria, wrote:

Most of our brother Christians showed unbounded love and loyalty, never sparing themselves and thinking only of one another. Heedless of danger, they took charge of the sick, attending to their every need and ministering to them in Christ, and with them departed this life serenely happy; for they were infected by others with the disease, drawing on themselves the sickness of their neighbors and cheerfully accepting their pains. Many, in nursing and curing others, transferred their death to themselves and died in their stead.

He then contrasted that with how the pagans reacted:

But with the heathen everything was quite otherwise. They deserted those who began to be sick, and fled from their dearest friends. They shunned any participation or fellowship with death; which yet, with all their precautions, it was not easy for them to escape. (Eusebius, Eccl. Hist. 7.22.7–10)

It was similar with the Bubonic Plague (or Black Death) in Europe where it wiped out half the population in just five years. Martin Luther wrote about it, saying “We must respect the word of Christ, ‘I was sick and you did not visit me.’ According to this passage we are bound to each other in such a way that no one may forsake the other in his distress but is obliged to assist and help him as he himself would like to be helped.”

In every case, we see that Christians moved toward the sick and the dying, even being willing to die themselves to obey the commands of Jesus to love one another, to carry one another’s burdens and to care for the sick.

The Peking Lung Pox is not the bubonic plague. Not only is it not the bubonic plague, but it’s a virus that has a 99% survival rate that mostly affects those with comorbidities. In other words, not only is the Covid Pandemic not the Bubonic Plague, but many of us have actually fled from it in fear rather than leaning into it as believers to minister to others. We’re masking up and isolating ourselves in an effort to save our own lives.

My question is, how will Christianity be seen in the wake of Covid-19? Were we known for our willingness to serve those who needed it most? Or were we indistinguishable from the rest of the population?

How “loving our neighbor” manifests itself may look different in different eras, but we can take encouragement from the example left by Christians who preceded us. We remember that we are to have sacrificial love, which may from time to time expose us to dangers to our health or safety. But we don’t fear; we act with courage to be obedient to the scriptural guidance to care for the sick.

Christianity grew exponentially during the plagues of the earlier centuries because they impressed Caesar and the local populations with their sacrificial love toward those who needed it most.

Can the same be said to be true today?

Daily Broadside | CBS “News” Distorts Truth to Make False Accusation

Daily Verse | 1 Kings 2:2-3
So be strong, show yourself a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.

It’s Tuesday and the media monkeys keep twisting and distorting the truth so that their preferred narrative is upheld, the latest example being a CBS News “60 Minutes” report on the Chinese Lung Pox vaccine distribution in Florida. “Reporter” Sharyn Alfonsi reported that Governor Ron DeSantis “received a $100,000 donation to his PAC from Publix grocery stores, which later partnered with the state to distribute COVID-19 vaccines.”

The obvious insinuation is that somehow Publix paid DeSantis for the right to distribute the Kung Flu vaccine.

“60 Minutes” aired a deceptively edited clip of Alfonsi confronting DeSantis at a news conference in which she accused him of a “pay-to-play” scheme and DeSantis corrected the record. The Daily Wire provided the transcript of the exchange, showing what CBS “News” kept and what it edited out.

“Transcript of the interaction between DeSantis and Alfonsi is featured below (All words appearing in bold were cut out by CBS News):”

Sharyn Alfonsi: Publix, as you know, donated $100,000 to your campaign, and then you rewarded them with the exclusive rights to distribute the vaccination in Palm Beach—

Ron DeSantis: So, first of all, that — what you’re saying is wrong. That’s—

Sharyn Alfonsi: How is that not pay-to-play?

Ron DeSantis: —that, that’s a fake narrative. So, first of all, when we did, the first pharmacies that had it were CVS and Walgreens. And they had a long-term care mission. So they were going to the long-term care facilities. They got the vaccine in the middle of December, they started going to the long-term care facilities the third week of December to do LTCs. So that was their mission. That was very important. And we trusted them to do that. As we got into January, we wanted to expand the distribution points. So yes, you had the counties, you had some drive through sites, you had hospitals that were doing a lot, but we wanted to get it into communities more. So we reached out to other retail pharmacies — Publix, Walmart — obviously CVS and Walgreens had to finish that mission. And we said, we’re going to use you as soon as you’re done with that. For Publix, they were the first one to raise their hand, say they were ready to go. And you know what, we did it on a trial basis. I had three counties. I actually showed up that weekend and talked to seniors across four different Publix. How was the experience? Is this good? Should you think this is a way to go? And it was 100% positive. So we expanded it, and then folks liked it. And I can tell you, if you look at a place like Palm Beach County, they were kind of struggling at first in terms of the senior numbers. I went, I met with the county mayor. I met with the administrator. I met with all the folks in Palm Beach County, and I said, “Here’s some of the options: we can do more drive-through sites, we can give more to hospitals, we can do the Publix, we can do this.” They calculated that 90% of their seniors live within a mile and a half of a Publix. And they said, “We think that would be the easiest thing for our residents.” So, we did that, and what ended up happening was, you had 65 Publix in Palm Beach. Palm Beach is one of the biggest counties, one of the most elderly counties, we’ve done almost 75% of the seniors in Palm Beach, and the reason is because you have the strong retail footprint. So our way has been multifaceted. It has worked. And we’re also now very much expanding CVS and Walgreens, now that they’ve completed the long term care mission.

Sharyn Alfonsi: The criticism is that it’s pay-to-play, governor.

Ron DeSantis: And it’s wrong. It’s wrong. It’s a fake narrative. I just disabused you of the narrative. And you don’t care about the facts. Because, obviously, I laid it out for you in a way that is irrefutable.

Sharyn Alfonsi: Well, I— I was just—

Ron DeSantis: And, so, it’s clearly not.

Sharyn Alfonsi: Isn’t there the nearest Publix —

Ron DeSantis: No, no, no. You’re wrong.

Sharyn Alfonsi: —30 miles away.

Ron DeSantis: You’re wrong. You’re wrong. Yes, sir?

Sharyn Alfonsi: That’s actually a fact.

So CBS “News” deceptively edited the segment to leave out the large chunk of DeSantis’s answer that explained how the distribution was arranged in order to smear DeSantis—and Publix—as participants in a pay-to-play scheme.

Two DEMOCRATS immediately called out “60 Minutes,” including Florida’s Division of Emergency Management Director, Jared Moskowitz, and Palm Beach County Mayor Dave Kerner.

Publix itself clapped back in a defense of its help in distributing vaccines because of the garbage reporting of CBS “News.”

You might be asking yourself, Why the hit piece on Ron DeSantis since his leadership in Florida emerging from the pandemic is so successful? Here’s why: he’s a major threat to Democrats in the 2024 presidential election.

I’d love to say that Democrats are afraid of him, but if the anti-American socialist progressive Democrat mob gets its way, we may never have a fair election again, what with HR-1 and flooding the country with illegal voters from Central and South America.

Nonetheless, the less complications the better, so the Left is starting now to tear down DeSantis through manufactured controversies. Unfortunately for CBS “News,” even the state’s Democrats see through the attempted smear. Plus, the news conference was public, so it doesn’t take much effort to fact check their “reporting.”

Maybe CBS “News” doesn’t know about the Internet yet.

I HOPE HE’S DONE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT, BUT THE DAMAGE IS DONE. Bernie bows out

“Few would deny that over the course of the past five years, our movement has won the ideological struggle,” Sanders said on Wednesday. “It was not long ago that people considered these ideas radical and fringe. Today, they are mainstream ideas. Many of them are already being implemented in cities and states across the country.”
