Daily Broadside | Progressive Agitator Alejandro Mayorkas Projects His Massive “Failure of Governance” Onto Greg Abbott

The cultural Marxists, Leftists, racialists, Democrats, progressives, diversity enthusiasts and far left activists are all good at one thing: projection. You can be sure that anything they accuse you of or criticize you for is exactly what they are guilty of.

Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has just provided a clear cut case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas called out Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday, labeling his migrant bussing policy “a remarkable failure of governance.” 

Mayorkas, who faces impeachment proceedings in the House for his handling of the illegal immigration crisis, blamed Abbott, a Republican, for failing to cooperate with officials in Democrat-led cities that have been overwhelmed by migrant arrivals. 

“Let me identify one fundamental problem here, and that is the fact that we have one governor in the state of Texas who is refusing to cooperate with other governors and other local officials,” Mayorkas said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”  

Emphasizing the need for the country to “stand united” on immigration, Mayorkas said that “it’s a remarkable failure of governance to refuse to cooperate with one’s fellow local and state officials.” 

My mind is simply reeling with an avalanche of thoughts — so many that my brain is sputtering. I mean, the audacity!

Mayorkas is being impeached because of his massive “failure of governance” to secure the border. Not only has he not secured the border, he has facilitated the invasion of a horde of foreigners, which is at the root of Abbott’s bussing tactic.

House Republicans have blamed Mayorkas as the border crisis has worsened under his leadership. The Homeland Security Committee will hold its first impeachment hearing into the secretary on Jan. 10 as Republicans accuse Mayorkas of refusing to enforce immigration laws.

For years Texas and other border states have borne the brunt of our government’s intentional, criminal, unconstitutional and anti-American policies that allow foreigners to simply walk over the border and traipse into America without discrimination, investigation, examination, prosecution or follow up. In fact, not only do they not prevent them from entering, they facilitate their journey by ferrying these foreigners all over the country in the dead of night and dropping them off in unsuspecting communities.

For Mayorkas to accuse Greg Abbott of “a remarkable failure of governance” is simply beyond the pale. You want “cooperation”? Then cooperate with the border states by keeping illegals out. You want to bail out your buddies in Democrat-led cities? Then tell them to quit showboating as “sanctuary cities” in defiance of our laws.

Greg Abbott has called the Democrats’ bluff, basically saying, “You boasted about what a compassionate city you were, offering sanctuary to foreigners who are here illegally. Well, since you claim the moral high ground, we’ve got plenty of illegals here to send you. Have at it.”

He’s forcing the progressive Democrats (are there any other kind these days?) and cultural Marxists (but I repeat myself) to live up to their own rules.

Apart from a fundamental misunderstanding of Christianity, which is not about rule-keeping, this Alinsky tactic is quite effective at undermining confidence and creating a hot seat of hypocrisy. Abbott is forcing mayors like Brandon Johnson (Chicago) and Eric Adams (New York City) to obey their own rules. If Alinsky is right, they won’t be able to. Both of them are complaining about the busloads of immigrants, they claim to have no place to put them, and they’re impounding busses from Texas.

Racists! Xenophobes!

Mayorkas and his ilk are seeding our destruction by widely dispersing foreigners among us to dilute and then replace the founding Anglo-Saxon culture that built America into the greatest economic, political and military power the world has ever seen. And they have made great progress.

Abbott is one of the few who understand this and is fighting fire with true governance.

Progressives are shameless hacks who accuse others of doing what they themselves are doing. And they do it with absolutely no sense of irony or self-awareness.

Daily Broadside | Wait … I Walked All The Way Here and There’s No Television!?!

We live in an upside down world.

Illegal immigrants are warning each other to stay away from New York’s new “tent city” for migrants which is located at Floyd Bennett Field. They say the controversial Brooklyn shelter is “crazy” and “not suitable for children” which has prompted families to either flee the site and/or refuse to be transported there.

This has created a significant problem because this site, which is made up of four congregate sleeping dorms that can hold up to 2,000 people, is currently the only shelter the city is offering to illegal immigrants with children, according to the New York Post.

Let me get this straight. People who have entered the United States ILLEGALLY are “refusing” to stay at the shelters Americans have paid for and erected to house them and “this has created a significant problem”?

Dude, the “significant problem” is that these people are in this country in the first place.

A Venezuelan couple who arrived in the Big Apple with their three small children a few days ago said that they refused to be transported to Floyd Bennett after another illegal migrant family had warned them about the facility.

“They said they were going to send us to Floyd Bennett Field yesterday,” the 23-year-old father told the Post.

“We did not go because we already know the situation over there. We saw people returned with children. They say it’s not suitable there. There is nothing there…not even a television,” he said.

I don’t even know what to say. Imagine someone breaking in and squatting in your home, then complaining that you suck as a host because there’s no Bud Light in the fridge. Besides telling them that you no longer buy Bud Light, you’d tell them they were the most entitled ingrates you’d ever seen and to get the <censored> out of your home.

The Venezuelan family had been sleeping on chairs at The Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan before they were told to relocate to Floyd Bennet Field. But since they refused the offer, the parents say that they might have to sleep on the streets with their children ages 5, 3, and 10 months.

“They told me that if we didn’t take that address…they couldn’t help us and we were going to stay on the streets or go to another city in the United States,” the father told the outlet.

The mother explained that the City won’t help them since they rejected the offer. The family was bused to the Big Apple after illegally entering the US through Texas.

“We arrived four days ago and they sent us to the tent and we rejected it so they don’t want to help. They don’t want to show us anywhere else,” she said in tears.

The father said he would rather sleep in the hotel lobby and added, “Right now we have nowhere to stay. Sleeping in the chair is the safest thing I see. We are going to be on the streets with the babies.”

The mother has the sadz because no one is HeLPiNg HeR after rejecting attempts to HeLP hER. Her husband is fine with sleeping on a chair in a hotel lobby. It sounds like they may need some marriage counseling.

I truly wonder what this family thought they were going to get when they traipsed across the southern border illegally. A red carpet? Slippers, cigar and smoking jacket? A new car from Oprah and an Xbox for the kids?

In what world does a foreigner waltz into another country and start demanding television and better accomodations?

An upside down world.

A world in which the government of the native people has invited an invasion of foreign nationals to displace the current population, degrade the country’s uniqueness and exceptionalism, and import a horde of new voters who will keep the kleptocrats in power until they no longer need the voters and rule with an increasingly iron fist.

How sad that these interlopers think they’ll have a better life here.

Daily Broadside | Illegal Aliens Will Cost Us $451 Billion Per Year

Our southern border is non-existent, the federal government having abandoned any pretense of providing for the common defense. Everything is political now, and the hordes of third-world peasants and fit young men from enemy countries are invading at the express invitation of the Democrats and their like-minded anti-Americans in the media and institutions of “higher” learning as they seek to undermine and degrade America’s dominance on the world stage.

Cloaked in risible bumper sticker slogans like #DiversityIsOurStrength and #NoOneIsIllegal, the onslaught is exacting a toll on us.

Caring for illegal aliens currently within the United States could cost American taxpayers up to $451 billion per year, a Monday interim staff report from House Republicans has concluded.

Originally obtained by the New York Post, the 49-page report entitled “The Historic Dollar Costs of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ Open-Border Policies” became public the same day that the House voted to refer a resolution to impeach the eponymous security official to the Homeland Security Committee.

A vote to impeach that was blocked by Democrats and eight Republicans.

“Every day, millions of American taxpayer dollars are spent on costs directly associated with illegal immigration and the unprecedented crisis at the Southwest border sparked by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ policies,” the report begins. “Only a small fraction is ever recouped from the taxes paid by illegal aliens, with the rest falling on the shoulders of American citizens and lawful residents.”

“Mass illegal immigration, accelerated by Mayorkas’ open-borders policies, now represents a massive cost to the federal government and state governments alike, as well as the pocketbooks of private citizens and businesses,” it continues. “The range of costs inflicted by Mayorkas’ border crisis cover everything from emergency medical care to increased demands on law enforcement to housing and shelter benefits for illegal aliens.”

Illegal aliens pay taxes, but they are dwarfed by the outlay from the American taxpayer.

In the end, Republicans drew damning conclusions about Mayorkas’ job performance from the data.

“It is morally unacceptable that American taxpayer dollars should be funneled to those who violate our laws and demand expansive, taxpayer-funded benefits like education, health care, housing, and more,” the report went on. “Many of these individuals will likely represent a drain on American society for the remainder of their days in the United States, constantly absorbing more benefits from the state than they ever contribute–to say nothing of the fact that they have no lawful basis to remain in the country to begin with.”

Just because it’s a partisan report doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

Right on cue, Trump has promised to deport the masses should he win another term in the White House.

Former President Donald Trump is planning a widespread expansion of his first administration’s hardline immigration policies if he is elected to a second term in 2024, including rounding up undocumented immigrants already in the US and placing them in detention camps to await deportation, a source familiar with the plans confirmed to CNN.

The plans, first reported by The New York Times, would necessitate building large camps to house migrants waiting for deportation and tapping federal and local law enforcement to assist with large-scale arrests of undocumented immigrants across the country.

Should Congress refuse to fund the operation, Trump could turn to a tactic used in his first term to secure more funding for a border wall — redirecting funds from the Pentagon, the source confirmed.

It’s insane.

In a sane world, Mayorkas would be fired and replaced by the president for his failure to secure the southern border. About 8 million illegal aliens have crossed the border during Biden’s time in office, including about 2 million who are gotaways, the ones that no one knows where they are. They didn’t turn themselves into Border Patrol. They ran and spread out through the country. This is Biden’s world and nothing is sane. He did away with the immigration policies in place at the border on his first day in office. He was desperate to prove he was not like the previous president. Word spread quickly and before anyone knew it, the southern border was overwhelmed with illegal immigrants. The rest is history.

Daily Broadside | Trump Was Right, Of Course: Mexico (and Other Countries) Aren’t Sending Us Their Best

I received my copy of Overrun: How Joe Biden Unleashed the Greatest Border Crisis in U.S. History by Todd Bensman today. From the back cover: “Americans never voted for their [the radical ideologues] experiment or the irrevocable consequences that immediately waylaid a surprised nation.” I’m anxious to read it along with a couple of other books on the third-world invasion being perpetrated by the anti-Americans in this administration, facilitated by the supine do-nothing GOP.

With that as background, remember how Trump was villified over comments he made about illegal aliens back in June 2015?

The US has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems. Thank you. It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

The Left lost their minds with their hair on fire. Trump called Mexicans rapists! Trump demeaned Mexicans! Trump is a RAAACIST! Never mind the fact that our borders were and are being violated by Mexicans and other third-world “immigrants.” Ignore the fact that up to 80% of women in these “caravans” and on the immigrant journey were being raped. The talking heads hyperventilated over Trump telling the truth.

And the truth continues to this day to validate what Trump said back then, but even more so. These countries, including Mexico, aren’t sending us their best.

A manhunt remains underway as police search for Danelo Cavalcante, a 34-year-old illegal alien from Brazil, after he escaped from Chester County Prison on August 31. A $10,000 reward is now being offered to the person who leads police to Cavalcante.

Cavalcante was spotted on surveillance footage on September 2 just 1.5 miles away from the prison and police believe he remains in the area but could now be elsewhere.

“Law enforcement is requesting that residents in the area remain indoors at this time. Lock your vehicles. Review your surveillance cameras and contact police if you observe anything suspicious,” Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan said in a statement:

Danelo Cavalcante is considered an extremely dangerous man. Please remain vigilant in assisting with this search. If you see this individual do not approach him. Call 911 immediately. [Emphasis added]

What, they don’t have enough prisons in Brazil for this guy? They have to send their guy here to live on the taxpayer’s dime for three squares a day? And he doesn’t even like it?

The ingrate.

But he’s not the only one you need to be watching out for.

A man who entered New York City just two months ago after living in Venezuela has become a poster boy for the migrant crisis after he was arrested six separate times, often for violent attacks. He arrived in the city just about two months ago, first coming in on June 27.

The 29-year-old Daniel Hernandez Martinez reportedly committed his first crime during his second day in New York City, when he was said to have stolen merchandise from a Brooklyn Costco. He then hit up a Duane Reade in Manhattan’s Columbus Circle. 

Just a day later, he allegedly assaulted a security guard at a different Duane Reade location. 

“He’s been wreaking havoc,” stated a cop with over 20 years of experience.

“This is not an isolated incident. These migrants are getting arrested quite often here, and we really don’t know who they are. They really don’t have ID. They’re not being vetted properly, but some of them are committing some of the most violent crimes here.”

Isn’t diversity awesome?!

But it’s not just oneseys-twoseys; the open border is driving the increase in retail theft.

Why the sudden explosion in organized retail crime? When it covers this issue at all, the mainstream press usually just throws up its hands, or says retailers are exaggerating the problem.

But could it have anything to do with the fact that Biden opened the border and let millions of illegal immigrants flood into the country?

Immigration and Customs Enforcement  (ICE) sees a connection. In a statement released last June, it said: “Recent investigations have also identified organized retail crime schemes exploiting undocumented migrants forced to steal goods to pay back ‘coyotes’ who smuggle them across international borders.”

In another report, ICE says that:

Boosters are often undocumented immigrants, labor trafficked into the United States and working off a debt, or individuals suffering from some form of addiction. The boosters are the thieves on the ground that steal (boost) the products. They typically have a list of merchandise to steal from their crew boss and may hit numerous stores in one day. The boosters will likely be paid in cash or through anonymous/encrypted peer-to-peer payment apps.

By June of last year, the problem had grown so severe that ICE announced an effort to crack down on this migrant-fueled crime wave.

Of course, this results in higher prices for your average American shopper.

The person responsible for the mayhem and population displacement that we’re undergoing is Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, under whom is U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He is intentionally failing at protecting our border. No one is this incompetent at this level of “responsibility.”

He ought to be impeached and removed from office. But will the RINOs allow that to happen? Nope. They didn’t.

Hey, all of you who “voted” for Joe Biden — and for those who helped the Democrats take the Senate and keep the House — thanks so much for enriching our lived experience.

Daily Broadside | The US Ship of State is Swamped and in Danger of Sinking

I hate to miss posting, but this past week was absolutely packed with activity. One of the little’s is getting married this fall, and there were all kinds of tasks associated with hosting guests and putting on a bridal shower that was a beautiful event for all involved. We’re getting to know the future in-laws and some of their extended family, too. I’m slightly more of an introvert than extrovert so expending that much energy with so many people tends to deplete my reserves and will take some time for me to rebound.

But I couldn’t not post with all that’s going on in this bizarre country called the United States of America. At one time the envy of the world, it has been twisted into a grotesque, unrecognizable parody of itself, claiming all the virtues of a free society but acting like a third-world banana republic.

We’re being led by a doddering, angry, dementia-riddled, imbecilic fabulist whose natural language is lying. He’s bought and owned by the Chinese, the Russians and the Ukranians. He’s done nothing worth remembering in his fifty years in government, but we will remember him because of the immense damage he’s inflicted on the economy, politics and the culture in the two-plus years he’s been in office.

Our political elites have weaponized the Constitution and are conducting open lawfare on the previous president while ignoring the crimes of the current one and his family. Lawfare is even being conducted at the state level against conservative politicians, like Texas AG Ken Paxton.

We’re being swarmed with some 7 million foreigners who have crossed our non-existant border illegally without vetting and are actually shlepped around the country to large “santuary” cities, so much so that even hard-left mayors are complaining that they can’t handle the influx and are now asking citizens to open their homes to the invaders.

The Chinese float spy balloons over mainland US with impunity and are apparently behind an illegal biolab full of diseased mice, pathogens, blood, coronavirus, HIV, hepatitis and herpes and other infectious agents that was operating in secret without a permit in California, and an illegal police station in New York City to hunt down Chinese dissidents. We’re dependent on China for our pharmaceuticals. It’s shameful embarrassment to our sovereignty and safety.

The chucklehead in the White House printed $4 trillion and set off the worst inflation in 40 years. Interest rates have tripled and gas prices are doubled.

Our cities, once the envy and destination of the world, are turning into third-world $#!+holes full of crime and drugs, homelessness and death. Stores and businesses are closing because it’s unsafe to operate in those fetid markets.

Americans are fleeing “blue” states to “red” states in an effort to escape the insanity that progressives have unleashed in their states. We’re segregating ourselves into “rational” and “irrational” populations — and it depends on which one you identify with that shapes your definition of “rational.”

Our military is more interested in being woke than in being prepared as evidenced by dismal recruiting that has left us thousands of soldiers short. In addition, we are short on munitions and are far behind China in naval readiness.

As Victor Davis Hanson writes,

We are in the midst of one of the most radical revolutions in American history. It is as far-reaching and dangerous as the turbulent years of the 1850s and 1860s or the 1930s. Every aspect of American life and culture is under assault, including the very processes by which we govern ourselves, and the manner in which we live.

The Revolution began under the Obama administration that sought to divide Americans into oppressed and oppressors, and then substitute race for class victimization. It was empowered by the bicoastal wealth accrued from globalization, and honed during the COVID lockdown, quarantine-fed economic downturn, and the George Floyd riots and their aftermath. The Revolution was boosted by fanatic opposition to the presidency of Donald Trump. And the result is an America that is unrecognizable from what it was a mere decade ago.

There’s little that one person can do to fight the assault on our way of life. It will take a critical mass of citizens who have decided they’ve had enough and are ready to fight — and sacrifice for — the survival of America.

Daily Broadside | New App Schedules Time to Enter Country Illegally

When you think of illegal aliens, a.k.a illegal immigrants, a.k.a. undocumented immigrants, a.k.a. migrants, what images come to mind? Do you imagine a family — a mom, a dad, two kids — wading into the Rio Grande river on the Mexico border, fighting the current and struggling to keep their heads above water as they try to wade, swim and float to the other side? Do you see them scrambling up through the brush on the Texas side of the river, collapsing in the dust and waiting for U.S. border patrol to pick them up?

Maybe you see them piling out of a semi-trailer along a deserted highway in the Arizona desert after making the harrowing journey hidden from U.S. Customs and Border Protection? Maybe you think of infrared videos showing white figures against a grainy gray background climbing over a wall separating Mexico into San Diego.

Maybe you remember the Central American caravans that traveled all the way up through Mexico and attempted to bum rush the border. Or the thousands of “migrants” camped on the border just waiting for Title 42 to expire. Or this administation’s secret flights and bus rides of foreigners to unknown destinations across the U.S.

Whatever you see, I’ll bet nothing has prepared you to see what Ben Bergquam has documented.

What is the CBP1? CBP One is an app that can be downloaded from any online store that offers mobile applications. Why are illegal aliens using it?

The CBP One app is one of the latest tools the Biden administration is using to funnel illegal immigrants into the United States, while obfuscating the true scope of the border crisis. As Mark Krikorian, host of Parsing Immigration Policy and executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, puts it, the app allows illegal immigrants to “essentially schedule their illegal immigration into the United States.”

Andrew Arthur, the Center’s resident fellow in law and policy and a former immigration judge, joins this week’s podcast to discuss the creation of the CBP One app and how it operates. At its inception during the Covid pandemic in October 2020, the CBP One app was intended to allow legitimate travelers to schedule appointments at ports of entry to limit the amount of time that travelers were spending face-to-face with CBP officers.

However, the Biden administration now uses the app to allow travelers arriving without proper documentation to enter the United States – travelers who normally would have no right to enter the country. Migrants can only make appointments through the app in Mexico and Central America, which has encouraged aspiring illegal immigrants to employ smugglers. There is also now a huge backlog of migrants in Mexico waiting for appointments through the CBP One app.

In his closing commentary, Krikorian highlights the deceptive CBP border numbers released this week. The Biden administration reports a 70 percent reduction in unlawful entries “between ports of entry.” However, closer inspection of the numbers shows that the Biden administration has simply allowed illegal immigrants to enter at ports of entry using the CBP One app, so they appear “legal.”

Instead of crossing the border between ports of entry by crossing a river or scaling a fence, Brandon is simply letting illegals schedule an appointment at a legitimate port of entry and then facilitating their entry into the U.S. As the numbers of foreigners using the app increase, the number of those trying to avoid the ports of entry decrease.

Slick.

But how many illegals are being processed and let into the country, like in the video above?

Under the CLAP rule, the asylum and protection claims of aliens who cross the border illegally between the ports are subject to a higher level of scrutiny, while those who take advantage of the CBP One app port interview scheme have their claims considered under the (much looser) prevailing standards.

Well, that’s what the administration claims. In May, CBP both lifted a requirement that aliens who take advantage of the scheme show up at a time certain (they can now appear at any point in a 23-hour window) and expanded the number of available interview slots from 1,000 per day to 1,250; in June, the number of CBP One port interview slots was expanded further, to 1,450 daily — or 529,000-plus per year.

There’s no way CBP officers at the ports can reasonably evaluate protection claims made by 1,450 CBP One app interviewees per day, and especially no way they can do so for aliens who appear at 11:00 at night. And there’s really, really no way they can vet more than 99 percent of those 1,450 aliens per day in any meaningful way before releasing them into the United States.

This is nothing more than a shell game concocted by carnies at the White House and DHS to hide the millions of aliens the Biden administration is allowing to pour over the Southwest border into the United States. Worse, it’s criminally reckless, as it flouts not only our norms and laws but also the very security of the nation and of towns and cities nationwide to which those aliens are headed.

But at least it allows the Biden administration to crow that Border Patrol apprehensions at the U.S.-Mexico line have now fallen below 100,000 per month — for now.

The anti-Americans in the White House not only lie about the condition of the border, they’re actually using slight-of-hand to make us think they’re reducing the flow of illegals when, in fact, they’re simply hiding the true number of illegals they’re helping into the U.S.

There is no way to describe what’s happening other than an invasion. It’s not being done with guns and violence from an enemy nation, but it’s being done BY OUR OWN LEADERS who are subverting our laws with the intent of destroying the unique American culture that built and sustained this county for the last 200 years. It’s a specific strategy to undermine the strength of the U.S. to bring it more in line with what the Diversity Brigade wants, which is to tear down a superior culture in order to make it more “equitable” to whoever they deem to be “oppressed.”

It’s insidious, unconscionable, malicious and treasonous. I don’t care what the Marxist-infused Leftists about white people and our national heritage.

But here’s a twist for believers. If and when you are confronted with someone who is here illegally, never forget that they matter to our heavenly Father. They are created in His image Jesus died for each one.

We have to separate our dismay about people entering the country illegally from our attitude toward illegal aliens themselves. You can be angry at our lawless governors and their destructive intentions while still extending the arms of Christ to those who have flaunted our laws with the blessing of the state.

You don’t have to accept the reckless and illegal policies of our government; you can support the deportation of anyone here illegally; and you can love someone while they’re here.

Daily Broadside | ¡Adios America! You’re Now a Third-World Sh*thole

I’ve said it many times before on this blog, but illegal aliens from third-world countries being allowed to invade ours is one of the most loathsome acts of treachery the men and women who hold power in this nation have ever committed. It’s criminal, it’s an act of sabotage, it’s wrecking our country and both parties are responsible for it.

Our “immigration” “system” favors anyone who manages to get across our border and declares that they want asylum — once they do so, they are given a court date and released under their own recognizance. What’s a reasonable amount of time for someone to wait for a court date, do you think? Three months? Six months? Twelve? Maybe 18 months at the outside? If that’s what you think, you’d be wrong.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — Migrants processed into the US as asylum seekers are being given immigration court dates more than a decade away.

In Brownsville, migrants who arrived in the US Thursday showed The Post their paperwork with designated court dates set as late as 2032 and 2035 in Chicago and Florida.

Now they have been admitted to the county and given a court date, the migrants can receive a work permit and legally live and work in the US until their case comes up.

Others who had immigration court hearings set for August 2023 in a Maryland immigration court and March 2027 at a Dallas immigration court.

Two people heading to New York City had dates listed for 2025.

Backlogs at immigration courts currently stand at 2.1 million cases waiting to be heard.

There are around 600 immigration court judges deciding asylum cases, and in the last financial year, they closed approximately 312,000 cases.

It’s not just that it could be 12 months, but it could be 12 years until your request for asylum comes up before a judge. In the meantime, you’re allowed to legally live and work here until your case is called. And, if you have a child with your girlfriend while you’re waiting, guess what? You now have an “anchor baby” who automatically gains citizenship because mom was present in the U.S. That means the authorities are less likely to deport you. Think I’m kidding?

Yes, it’s true most of those folks are officially claiming asylum but that’s a 7-year process for most of them. By the time a judge tells them to leave, they’ll have American children and they’ll never be asked to leave unless they commit a serious crime. So the word is out and now the migrants who’ve been dodging Title 42 have heard that’s ending as well. So expect some new records of border crossings over the coming week that make this week’s records look tame by comparison.

This is ludicrous. All a foreigner has to do is jump the border, claim asylum, and start working and collecting welfare checks while having a family here. No vetting, no process, no oath of citizenship, just living la vida loca.

In what other sovereign nation does this happen? There isn’t another country where I could walk across the border and simply settle down, get a job and raise a family without being arrested, jailed, fined and deported. A year ago I wrote of the punishments some countries mete out to trespassers.

Why do aliens target America? Well, besides being the freest and richest country in the world, there aren’t any consequences for entering illegally. In this report, we learn that crossing the border illegally in Singapore is punishable by six months in prison and three strokes with a cane. In Russia, you can get two years in a prison labor camp. In Pakistan, trespassers can get up to 10 years in prison, while India allows for up to eight years behind bars.

The U.S.? Illegal entry in the U.S. is a misdemeanor, with a maximum of six months in jail.

Guess how many “migrants” are waiting to rush across the border just as soon as Title 42 ends?

The scope of this disaster really is amazing. With Title 42 set to end Thursday the everyone from border state governors to blue city mayors is getting ready for a new influx of migrants. There may not be a long wait because more than a hundred thousand people are already camped out on the Mexican side of the border waiting for the right moment.

The federal government estimates more than 150,000 migrants were waiting in shelters and on the streets of northern Mexican states bordering the US this weekend, a source familiar with the estimates told CNN.

That includes 60,000 migrants in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, 35,000 in the state of Tamaulipas and 25,000 in the state of Coahuila, among others, the source said Monday, adding the government estimates hundreds of thousands of migrants were in the “pipeline” in southern Mexico and Central American countries.

So 150,000 people on the doorstep and maybe more than that on the way. Shelters in Tijuana are overflowing. The director of migrants affairs said a “humanitarian crisis” is near.

By the time you read this, Title 42 will have expired. Here’s the very latest:

After days of panic, with thousands of migrants crossing over the southern border in a last-minute attempt to claim asylum before the rules changed, Title 42 has ended.

In the final hours before the pandemic-era measure expired, forces along the border fortified their posts with barbed wire, concrete barriers and heavily armed teams patrolling their front lines.

Agents in tactical gear also performed rehearsals for how to deal with rioters or mobs, should migrants attempt to descend en masse across the border.

Federal agents also remain on standby in case of riots, sources told The Post.

But after Title 42 ended at midnight, border crossings in Texas and California remained quiet — with migrants remaining on the Mexican side of the border awaiting to be processed.

Despite Customs and Border Patrol apprehending over 10,000 people daily this week, there were an estimated 155,000 people still waiting in north Mexico with the intention of making it into the US, according to CNN.

Texas officials had warned of up to 13,000 people a day attempting to make it into the US after Title 42 ended.

Asylum seekers will now be processed under the earlier Title 8 measure instead.

This is no way to run a country. The reason for the invasion being allowed by Democrats and cheered by their media lapdogs is that foreigners primarily vote Democrat, somewhere on the order of 8-2. What the criminal Democrat party is doing is adding new voters on top of the 50 percent of Americans who already vote Democrat to create a super majority. That’s all this is — a way to keep themselves in power. They are disenfranchising the entire country by importing a dependent class of peasants who will vote to keep the largesse coming.

Once these people are here, it’s almost impossible to reverse their presence, unlike a law like Roe v. Wade. Not only is it almost impossible to reverse, the effect of their presence keeps on growing through chain migration and anchor babies.

The only way to reverse the loss of our country, at least the country that the other half of us like, is to close the border. Once that leak is stopped, then we can determine how to clear the backlog of illegals. THEN, we need to hold our ruling class accountable. Then we need to abandon the idiocy of automatic citizenship for foreign children born to non-citizens. Then we need to stop chain migration.

But it’s not going to happen. Instead of organic growth, receiving and releasing this many people into the U.S. this fast will change the demographics of the country, and not for the better — unless you’re a progressive politician or business.

Daily Broadside | Another Example of How Our Rulers Hate Us

It’s no secret that the junta currently in power has basically erased our southern border. In fact, a U.S. judge just blocked Brandon and his minions from continuing his “catch and release” formula of enforcement.

U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell in Pensacola blocked the administration from continuing to implement a 2021 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo that had authorized “alternatives to detention” to ease overcrowding in detention facilities. These alternatives included ankle bracelets, phone monitoring or check-ins by immigration officers. Republican critics have called the policy “catch and release.”

Wetherell, appointed by Republican former President Donald Trump, said federal immigration authorities lack the power to implement those alternatives on a widespread basis under existing law. The judge agreed with the argument made by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, who challenged the policy.

“Defendants have effectively turned the Southwest Border into a meaningless line in the sand and little more than a speedbump for aliens flooding into the country,” Wetherell wrote, referring to non-U.S. citizens who cross the border illegally.

It’s nice that someone other than I finally said it, although it’s not going to make much of a difference. The Democrats and their cabal hate America, hate Americans, and are only in it for the power to destroy what was once the most powerful nation in history, all in the name of “equity.”

Until we get there, we’ll just have to put up with the disdain our sovereignty, our culture and our national symbols are shown by the hordes of foreigners flooding the fruited plain.

Two suspected illegal immigrants shot and killed a bald eagle with the intention of cooking it for dinner, and the town’s sheriff whose department arrested them says federal authorities, who could keep them behind bars, won’t return his calls.

I’m sorry, did I say the disdain of foreigners? I meant the disdain of our ruling class.

The incident has left Stanton County, Neb., residents “disturbed” and “offended,” county sheriff Mike Unger told the Washington Free Beacon. And as of right now, the two suspects are allowed to roam the country freely. The two men were charged with misdemeanors, and Nebraska law dictates the pair can’t be held in jail before their March 28 trial.

“The country.”

Right. We have two foreign nationals who have no permanent address, apparently no money, who don’t speak English and who brought a gun with them (later identified as an air rifle) to use in hunting dinner for themselves like the peasants in the third-world hellhole they come from, driving around “the country.”

“Freely.”

The murder of the once-endangered bald eagle, the national bird of the United States, occurred on Feb. 28 after Stanton County police officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle outside of the Wood Duck State Wildlife Management. Officers at the scene discovered two Honduran nationals carrying the dead bird. They spoke no English and carried no form of identification other than documents from the Honduran consulate, Unger said.

Another report said they “cut off the bird’s feet, intending to ‘make the talons into ornaments.'” But don’t you be “disturbed” or “offended” just because two foreign men who are here illegally are riding around the country shooting the national symbol of American might and power for dinner and for making dope jewelry.

Killing a bald eagle is a violation of the 1940 Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, a federal law that carries a punishment of up to one year in prison. Federal authorities must bring those charges—in this case the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. But Unger says he’s reached out repeatedly to the agency and has gotten only silence. A spokeswoman for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service did not respond to a request for comment …

There is precedent for federal charges to be brought against bald eagle murderers. In June, a 79-year-old Tuscarawas County, Ohio, man pleaded guilty to killing a bald eagle while hunting groundhogs on his property. The man was forced to pay a $10,000 fine to the court and another $10,000 in restitution to the Fish and Wildlife Service. He was also barred from hunting for five years.

And in 2017 the feds brought charges against a 62-year-old Virginia man for shooting and killing a bald eagle. The man also ran over the bird with his all-terrain vehicle and said he was “upset it had been hunting and taking fish from a pond located on his property.”  The man was sentenced to a month of house arrest and 100 hours of community service along with fines totaling $2,000.

It’s okay for a foreigner to violate our sovereignty and even kill a member of our national bird, but don’t try it if you’re an American citizen!

This illegitimate administration allows progressive anarchists to burn down our cities, pull down our statues and incite racial animosity while allowing millions of foreigners to simply walk into our country and do whatever the hell they want.

This kind of deliberate sabotage of American culture and history is irreversible.

You may think I’m trafficking in hyperbole when I say, as I did yesterday, that we’re no longer about to drive off a cliff, but that we have in fact driven off of it and are hurtling in freefall toward the canyon floor. It’s now just a matter of time and how hard the impact will be—and whether anyone who remembers how it used to be survives.

Friday and sincere condolences to our cousins in the UK on the passing of her majesty, Queen Elizabeth. It’s a remarkable loss given that she was the longest reigning monarch in British history at 70 years (1952-1922), and the second-longest in world history behind only French King Louis XIV, who ruled for 72 years (1643–1715).

Entire generations of Brits have grown up knowing only Queen Elizabeth as the head of British royalty. Heck, even I’ve only known Queen Elizabeth during my lifetime. I once spent a year in London during my college days and saw her in a motorcade passing by while the crowd cheered and waved. I consider myself fortunate to have lived during her remarkable reign.

I understand that she was a woman of strong faith. Franklin Graham, Billy Graham’s son, said, “Queen Elizabeth once said, ‘I draw strength from the message of hope in the Christian gospel'” and that, “she was a true friend of the Christian faith.”

I hope that’s true. May she rest in peace.

In other news, from the category of “I can’t even,” there’s this gem: DC Mayor Muriel Bowser declares emergency over migrant buses from Texas, Arizona.

Bowser’s emergency declaration will set aside funding to accommodate migrants as well as create the Office of Migrant Services. The OMS will be tasked with providing temporary accommodations, urgent medical needs, transportation” and other services for migrants.

“We’re putting in place a framework that would allow us to have a coordinated response with our partners,” Bowser said Thursday. “This will include a program to meet all buses, and given that most people will move on, our primary focus is to make sure we have a humane, efficient, welcome process that will allow people to move on to their final destination.”

“Regardless of the federal response — which I think has been lacking in some respects — that the District of Columbia would continue to work with partners to advance what we need and ensure our systems in D.C. are not broken by a crisis that is certainly not of our making,” Bowser added.

Oh, it’s a crisis? You’re going to move people “on to their final destination”? You mean you’re not going to keep them there? You’re not going to shower them with free education, medical care and put them up in the best hotels? You’re instead going to pass them on to some other fair city?

If I was a red state city complaining like Bowser, I’d be called racist, xenophobic, intolerant and a hater of brown people.

You know how many illegal aliens have been bussed to Washington, D.C. so far? About 9,400. You know how many illegal aliens have been caught crossing the border since Angry Hitler was installed as Resident? 5 MILLION. (Graphic linked to article at dailymail.com.)

That’s basically dumping the whole country of Ireland into the U.S. if they were Latino and spoke some language other than English. Which, if you’ve ever heard the Irish brogue, sometimes sounds like a foreign language.

Don’t forget that Bowser talked big when she thought no one was going to call her on it.

Well, that’s changed now. Washington, D.C. is no longer a “sanctuary city” but a “border town.”

“In many ways, the governors of Texas and Arizona have turned us into a border town. We don’t know how long this will take to resolve. We don’t know how long they will continue bussing,” Washington DC Councilmember Brianne Nadeau said.

She doesn’t mean “border town” as a positive thing. But why? What’s wrong with being a border town? You’re the ones that wanted this. Her and the mayor’s support of open borders and refusal to cooperate with ICE has created this “crisis.”

Talk about being cluelessly woke with no sense of irony. H8ter!

It’s absolutely precious to see these anti-American morons get a taste of what red states like Texas and Arizona have been dealing with for years because of progressive Leftist policies like Brandon’s open borders policy.

It’s all part of a plan to sow chaos in the United States and dilute the cohesion of what once held us together as a society. With lawlessness becoming sanctioned by the state, I wonder how long it will be before the same state decides to declare two weeks of martial law to flatten the curve.

Tuesday and I hope you enjoyed a day off yesterday. I spent most of the afternoon trimming trees in my yard. It’s amazing how much can be culled out of trees year-after-year. I’m particularly pleased with a Fiskars 16′ extendable pole saw and pruner that I bought a couple of years ago. I thought Fiskars only made scissors—but they have a great line of yard tools!

I’ve got a couple of topics to choose from so I’m going to tackle one today and one tomorrow. Today’s is Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot’s complaints about Texas governor Greg Abbott busing illegal aliens to the city of Chicago, which Lightfoot claims is a “sanctuary city.”

Abbott has been busing illegal aliens to Washington, D.C., New York City and now, to Chicago, since Brandon is deliberately not guarding our borders or upholding established law concerning immigration in the United States. This is an impeachable offense, but we will never see him charged by impeachment-happy Malignancy Pelosi, who is a cancer on the body politic as much as Chuck “The Whirlwind” Schumer and Adam Schiff-for-Brains. These people will go down in American history as some of the most loathsome and evil national home wreckers to ever bear the title of Representative or Senator.

But I digress.

About a week ago the first illegal aliens arrived in Chicago from Texas. (Note that I am using the appropriate terminology, “illegal aliens,” which was A-OK up until about a minute ago when all the wokesters began complaining that “nobody is illegal.” Don’t let them shame you into not using that term. That’s what people who cross our borders illegally are: illegal aliens. They’re alien to our country and they’re here illegally.)

Here’s what Lightfoot had to say about the arrivals initially:

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has slammed Texas Governor Greg Abbott as ‘racist’ after he announced he would be bussing illegal migrants to the city.

Lightfoot, a Democrat, attacked the GOP governor despite repeatedly bragging that Chicago is a ‘sanctuary city’, as it witnessed the arrival of 60 people on Wednesday, August 30.

She said: ‘Chicago is a welcoming city and as such has collaborated across various departments and agencies to ensure we greeted them with dignity and respect …

‘Unfortunately, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is without and [sic] shame or humanity. But ever since he put these racist practices of expulsion in place, we have been working with our community partners to ready the city to receive these individuals.’ 

“Racist practices of expulsion.” Ah yes—see peasant, you shouldn’t be kicking illegal aliens out of your state; you should be keeping them there and greeting them “with dignity and respect.”

Funny that it’s somehow “racist” that people who invade our country illegally are greeted with a cross-country ticket to one of the world class American cities. Doesn’t sound too “racist” to me.

Here’s what Abbott said about it:

Abbott says he wants to give those Democrat-run cities a taste of what lax border policies are doing to towns in the Lone Star State …

He also called out Lightfoot, saying: ‘President Biden’s inaction at our southern border continues putting the lives of Texans-and Americans-at risk and is overwhelming our communities.

‘To continue to provide much-needed relief to our small, overrun border towns, Chicago will join fellow sanctuary cities…as an additional drop off location.

‘Mayor Lightfoot loves to tout the responsibility of her city to welcome all regardless of legal status, and I look forward to seeing this responsibility in action as these migrants receive resources from a sanctuary city with the capacity to serve them.’

Nobody is giving me tickets for New York or Washington, D.C. Maybe I should fly to Mexico and traipse across the border. Then I could get a free ride to D.C.

Not that I’d want to go there.

But I want to focus on what Lightfoot said on Sunday about Abbott after another 50 illegal aliens landed in Chicago from Texas.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot cast doubt on Gov. Greg Abbott’s Christian faith in remarks denouncing the Texas Republican busing migrants from the southern border up to the Windy City. 

“He professes to be a Christian,” Lightfoot said at a press conference on Sunday. “This is not the Christianity and the teachings of the Bible that I know. And I think religious leaders all across the country are standing up and denouncing exactly this.”

One has to wonder what “Christianity and the teachings of the Bible” she’s referring to. I watched her press conference so that you didn’t have to, and she doesn’t offer any more explanation than that. The mayor is a cohabitating lesbian, so her understanding of “Christianity and the teachings of the Bible” are sort of suspect to begin with.

But I think we can surmise what her thinking is. It’s very progressive and she gives clues in her remarks about Gov. Abbott. She has said:

“We know that racism, discrimination, and human cruelty have played a pivotal role in how immigrants are received within our borders, and we are still working to recover from the previous presidential administration, which encouraged this behavior,” the mayor’s office said of former President Donald Trump.

“This is such an important moment for Chicago as a city has been a sanctuary for thousands of newcomers. We are welcoming them and we will not turn our backs on those who need our help the most.”

Also: At a news conference Thursday, Lightfoot called Abbott’s approach “racist and xenophobic” and said it added to the immigrants’ challenges. 

We can infer that 1). Lightfoot thinks that Abbott’s policy is “racist” and that 2). she believes Abbott is “turning his back” on the illegal immigrants. This means that she thinks Abbott should keep the illegal immigrants there and give them help.

I’m sorry, but these are border jumpers who have illegally crossed into the United States. The proper thing to do is give them a sammich and send them back across the border because they and the nearly 5 million others who have crossed our border since Brandon became Resident has created a lawless situation.

“She said: ‘Chicago is a welcoming city and as such has collaborated across various departments and agencies to ensure we greeted them with dignity and respect.'”

More: “I think it’s decidedly unpatriotic and un-American,” she said. “I understand the pressures that the people of Texas and some of the other border states are under. We see that on a daily basis. But the thing to do is not this. This is creating a human crisis. And treating people without dignity, without respect, it’s not who we are as Americans.”

She believes Abbott is treating illegal immigrants without dignity or respect. Apparently, giving illegal aliens free transportation to a world class city that has repeatedly said they welcome illegal aliens is not treating them with enough dignity or respect.

And:

‘My frustration comes from the actions of the governor of Texas,’ she said at a press conference. She added that while she welcomes new residents, she takes issue with Abbott bussing migrants to her city – calling the policy inhumane.

‘There could be a level of coordination and cooperation, but he chooses to do none of those things. Instead, he chooses to send human beings across the country to an uncertain destination,’ Lightfoot asserted, ‘That’s unacceptable.’

Again, she declared: ‘He is manufacturing a human crisis, and it makes no sense to me.’

So illegal aliens, who didn’t get permission to enter our country, are being sent to “an uncertain destination.” Apparently, that’s a bad thing, since these illegal aliens weren’t certain where they were going to end up when they entered the United States and we don’t owe them anything. Is she suggesting that we should take their order and get them sent to wherever they want to go?

Here’s the answer to this inane question. When illegal aliens cross our border, they are subject to our laws. OUR LEADERS ARE SUPPOSED TO ENFORCE THE DULY ESTABLISHED LAWS. It’s not Abbott “manufacturing a human crisis,” it’s Brandon.

Lightfoot complains that Abbott isn’t coordinating or cooperating with her. Hey, Lori, what “level of coordination and cooperation” is Brandon choosing to do with Abbott and the leaders of the other border states?

God puts leaders and governors in a position of power for the benefit of the people they lead. They are to lead with righteousness, integrity and for the good of the people in the nation they lead. When they cease to do that, they are no longer fit to lead or to be in a position of power.

That’s what the Bible says, mayor Lightfoot.
