Daily Broadside | The Intolerable Racial Lies of Joe Biden

Happy Monday. A bit of trivia to start: did you know that our planet Saturn has 145 moons? I didn’t. Last I heard it had, oh, I don’t know … six? Apparently Saturn has taken back the title from Jupiter, which also has dozens of moons.

Back here on earth, the intentional, planned destruction of the United States continues apace. The foolish, morally corrupt sock puppet playing “president” continued stirring up racial animosity with comments he made at Howard University over the weekend.

Biden gave the commencement address to the historically black college of Howard University on Saturday and turned on the pander up to “10” in his bid to win over his audience.

Biden discussed racism and said that hatred “never goes away” and only “hides under the rocks.”  “A vivid demonstration when it comes to race in America, hope doesn’t travel alone. It’s shadowed by fear, by violence, and by hate,” he said.

Biden referenced the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville in 2017 and likened the scene to “the same ‘antisemitic bile’ that was voiced in the 1930s in Europe during the leadup to the Holocaust along with Nazi banners and members of the Ku Klux Klan,’” according to The Hill.

Biden said white supremacy is the most dangerous terrorist threat to the country. He said the battle against racism is “never really over,” but enough people come together to stand up to choose “love over hate, unity over disunion, progress over retreat” and against the “poison of white supremacy.”

He said the graduates he was speaking to represent the future who are going to be leading the country.

“In our lives and the life of a nation, we know that fear can shadow hope, but it’s also true that hope can defeat fear,” Biden said.

To compare a few hundred neo-Nazis gathering on a college campus to hundreds of thousands of stormtroopers marching through the streets of Berlin in the 1930s was not only idiotic, but it was also nothing more than an effort to pander to the lowest instincts of his audience. Instilling fear in black voters is a national obsession with Democrats. And that includes trying to identify “white supremacy” as the greatest terror threat.

“And I’m not just saying this because I’m at a Black HBCU. I say this wherever I go.” The audience laughed, knowing the only reason Biden made the statement about white supremacy was that he was addressing a black audience.

Actually, the only reason that Brandon scaremongers whites is because that’s what the brain trust pulling his strings told him to say.

Hear that, fellas? That’s the sound of our norms being restored! That’s what Democrats, the media, NeverTrump and all the institutions that gamed the 2020 election told us we needed, and now we’re getting our norms back, good and hard.

Biden is the very definition of a fool, someone who says whatever will score him the cheap political points and the financial grift he needs to keep his grubby hands on power.

He’s pander-ific!

It’s so interesting that he and his cronies are claiming that it’s white supremacists that are the gravest danger to our society, but we never see videos or large-scale demonstrations of this great white threat trotted out as evidence. Instead, the Left point to parents objecting to the indoctrination and grooming of their kids through pierced, blue-haired LGBT+ activists or CRT curriculum teaching them that 2+2=4 is racist and calls them “domestic terrorists.”

Brandon had to reach back five years to Charlottesville to find an example of “white supremacy” in which one person — a white woman — was killed. Really? Show me all the examples you have from the intervening years. Bring me up to date on the most recent incidents of whites stalking and beating blacks.

I’m not saying that whites don’t harass or beat or kill blacks. They have and they do. The worst one in recent memory was the inexcusable cold-blooded murder of Ahmaud Arbery by two white men in 2020. They and a third man were all convicted of murder and several other charges.

But if there’s an epidemic of “white supremacy,” where is it? I can give you a few examples of just the opposite to show you what I’d be looking for. From Ben Bartee at PJ Media:

As evidence of the White Supremacy™ epidemic, Biden referenced the Charlottesville attack from 2017 in which one single person was killed, which was actually a white lady.

In 2017, in Charlottesville, Virgina, crazed Neo-Nazis… came out of the fields literally with torches, carrying Nazi banners from the woods and the fields… something I never thought I would see in America… Emerging from dark rooms and remote fields… Hate never goes away… it never goes away, it only hides under the rocks.

Just replace “Neo-Nazis” with Jews, and this totally could’ve been a Hitler speech.

It evokes imagery of a Zombie apocalypse movie or something. Where were these “fields” and “dark rooms” from which the “Neo-Nazis” emerged?

Biden didn’t specify how many of the “Neo-Nazis” in Charlotte were feds of the Ray Epps variety.

Try as one might, isn’t it weird that it’s literally almost impossible to track down a gang of White Supremacists™ beating up lone black people on the streets of America?

Yet, with just a few minutes on Twitter, one can track down clip after clip of “urban youths” beating the snot out of white and Asian victims.

Here’s a black man who just shot two white men in the back of the head in two different locations.

Here’s a black man cursing out a white couple and their child on a NY subway:

Here’s a black student knocking a white teacher’s aide unconscious:

Here’s a story of a black 15-year-old student sucker-punching a white teacher over a confiscated phone:

Here’s a story about a black female student pepper spraying a white male teacher over her confiscated phone:

Here’s a black man punching a white Macy’s employee for allegedly calling him the “N” word, which Macy’s strenuously denies.

Here’s a black man who killed three men because they were white:

When one thinks of white supremacy as a movement, as a “terrorist threat,” one thinks of organized whites marching in a show of force. Sort of like this:

What if that headline read, “An all-White group is arming itself and demanding change. They are the NFAC”? How would that play to the country? Would the DOJ open an investigation into them?

My point is that there’s plenty of black on white violence to be found with just a cursory look across the Internet but we don’t hear dire warnings of “Black Supremacy” as the the most dangerous terrorist threat to our democracy when it’s pointed out. Why not? I just showed you an organized militia that armed up and showed up during the mostly peaceful riots of 2020.

Here’s why: the cultural Marxists in power are trying — and succeeding — to divide our country on the basis of race. And Joe Biden is at the forefront of the effort. The tension he’s creating is spilling over into the hostilities above. But the only group labeled a threat are whites.

Show me the white supremacist epidemic you see.

We are tearing ourselves apart at the seams. Christians need to understand what’s happening, denounce the race-baiting of our leaders, and lead the way with love for people of all races. It is only in Christ that the divisions fall.

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  (Galatians 3:26-28)

Daily Broadside | It’s My First Post of 2023 …

… and yesterday was New Year’s Day (Observed) at my office, so I had another day off. I hope your Christmas and New Year’s celebrations were wonderful and meaningful and full of warmth and pleasant memories …

… because it might be a new year but it’s the same-old same-old in the world of politics and culture and faith. Just because everything is “merry and bright” doesn’t mean we begin with a completely clean slate once the calendar turns a new page. Well, unless you’re in Christ, then “his compassions never fail. They are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22-23) and, by extension, every year.

We’ll have to learn how to live in a country that is not just fraying at the edges, but is tearing down the middle. The FBI is still the Gestapo we learned about over the last six years; the Democrats are still the political mafia they exposed themselves to be; the GOP is not the opposition party but part of the swamp (with a few notable exceptions); our economy is being destroyed by the Church of Perpetual Climate Fear as war is waged on our abundance of natural gas and oil resources for some fantasy of “carbon-neutral” energy (go back to nuclear energy!); the border is still porous and getting worse because we live under a lawless regime whose sole purpose is to destroy the United States as founded; the judiciary has become a court of rubber stamps that enable progressive lawlessness; our elections are no longer free or fair, but hopelessly suspect; the DOJ and Brandon himself have demonized patriotic Americans and keeps hundreds of them locked up in violation of their due process rights; and normal Americans should be gathering by the millions to protest and agitate against all of it but such behavior is only allowed on the Left and prosecuted against the Right.

My political awakening came a couple of decades ago and I’ve invested more time in speaking out against the lawlessness than I ever have over the last three years. I sometimes see myself as a guy running up and down the brow of a rocky island jutting up out of the sea, waving a red flag, setting off flares, and yelling at an approaching luxury cruise ship, trying to get the attention of anyone on board, warning them that they’re about to run aground and sink the boat. Unfortunately, even though I’ve gotten the attention of a few people on the promenade deck, the captain and crew don’t seem to notice or care.

It’s dawning on me that there is no solution that will immediately fix the dire circumstances we find ourselves in. What I didn’t want to grant, but what has become most apparent, is that our freedoms and homogenous cultural assumptions can no longer be taken for granted. Speech is being curtailed by political and technological ideologues; deeply evil people lie and conspire to get the political outcomes they want. The spirit of our Founders once held us together as a nation, along with deeply religious communities of faith. Those have now been relegated to specialized institutions like the Heritage Foundation or Hillsdale College or to the church or the synagogue or the mosque. You’re certainly not going to find them in the halls of congress or our schools, which regularly and naturally reinforced our national values.

The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he chose for his inheritance.
From heaven the Lord looks down
    and sees all mankind;
from his dwelling place he watches
    all who live on earth—
he who forms the hearts of all,
    who considers everything they do.

Psalm 33:10-15

Nothing escapes the Lord’s notice. He’s aware of all that is taking place in our country’s capitol, in each of the legislatures in each state, of every person in a position of authority. He’s aware of the lies, the cheating, the oppression, the hatred, the incitement conflict among the people, of the favoritism and the graft and the greed.

His purpose among the nations will prevail because his plans “stand firm forever.” How I wish that we would be known as a “nation whose God is the Lord.” But those in power disingenuously say they fear a “theocracy,” even though a return to the Judeo-Christian principles that this nation was founded on would be the right thing.

They reject them at the cost of their own destruction. They are blind fools and, one day, they will shrink in horror and shame as the full weight of their foolishness bores down on them.

In the meantime, Christians should be doing three things: actively opposing the evil being done in this nation, preparing for persecution, and winning as many to Christ as they can, while they can.

Daily Broadside | Todd Bowles Smacks Leftist “Reporters” Who Ask Him About His Skin Color

Daily Verse | Mark 8:36
“What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?”

Monday’s Reading: Mark 14-16

Happy Monday! Hope you had an enjoyable weekend.

Today’s post is going to be shorter because I have to let the subject speak for himself. Todd Bowles, head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was taking questions ahead of the Buccaneers’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Some of the “reporters” asked him about his being a black man.

Seriously.

Here’s the exchange (it’s only 30 seconds):

In my opinion, Bowles’s response is one of the most rational, objective, measured and accurate responses to left-wing “reporters” who spout racist nonsense. He’s not having it.

Just the ideological idiocy of classifying him according to his race and putting him in a special category all his own demonstrates just how racist (and Marxist!) these feeble-minded “reporters” truly are.

Do better, guys.

Really. Do better.

Daily Broadside | Buffalo Killer Breaks the Stereotype The Left Pushes About The Right

Daily Verse | Nehemiah 1:11
“O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name.”

Monday’s Reading: Nehemiah 4-7

Monday and a horrific mass murder on Saturday evening in a Buffalo, New York, Tops Friendly Market in a predominantly black neighborhood. The alleged assailant, 18-year-old Payton Gendron, shot 13 people and killed ten of them, including retired Buffalo police officer Aaron Salter, who was working as a security guard at the store.

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t roundly condemn this atrocity. I unequivocally do.

It seems to have been a premeditated attack, violating the unambiguous sixth commandment: “You shall not murder.” Of course, that admonition no longer has much power in our increasingly godless and violent culture.

The teenager seems to have specifically targeted blacks, allegedly making “it known he was targeting the Black community” after his arrest. He also live-streamed his attack on social media, broadcasting his rampage for the world to see.

Most media outlets immediately attributed the attack to “white supremacy,” “racism,” “terrorism” and “hate crime.”

It seems clear that the young man did, in fact, target a demographically black neighborhood. He allegedly arrived the day prior and “conducted reconnaissance on the area and store the day before the shooting.” During his rampage he reportedly pointed his gun at a white person, then said “sorry” and didn’t shoot. So, even though he shot two white people, it seems almost certain that his targets were intentionally blacks.

This is deeply disturbing, of course, but not just because it was racially motivated. It’s deeply disturbing because it occurs in an era when the FBI and the DOJ have claimed, without presenting any specific evidence, that “domestic terrorism” is the greatest threat to the homeland. In an article titled “Far-right terror poses bigger threat to US than Islamist extremism post-9/11,” The Guardian US newspaper wrote,

Earlier this year an intelligence report warned that racially-motivated extremists posed the most lethal domestic terrorism threat. It said the menace was now more serious than potential attacks from overseas, and the White House published a strategy for countering the problem.

The FBI director, Christopher Wray, told Congress that the 6 January insurrection wasn’t an isolated event and “the problem of domestic terrorism has been metastasizing across the country for a number of years”.

Wray added that white supremacists comprise “the biggest chunk of our domestic terrorism portfolio overall” and “have been responsible for the most lethal attacks over the last decade”.

Director Wray said that white supremacists and “racially motivated extremists” posed the greatest threat to the U.S. Now we have a white male who seems to have deliberately targeted a black community and indiscriminately killed ten people and wounded three others.

It would seem that the DOJ and the FBI now have a prime example of what they have warned about.

The problem, however, is that in a 180-page “manifesto” attributed to Gendron, he doesn’t identify himself as a “far-right” supremacist, as the title and the body of The Guardian article talk about (along with other publications, such as NPR’s “Wray Stresses Role Of Right-Wing Extremism In Hearing About Jan. 6 Riot“). Instead, Gendron describes himself like this:

“When I was 12 I was deep into communist ideology, talk to anyone from my old high school and ask about me and you will hear that. From age 15 to 18 however, I consistently moved farther to the right. On the political compass I fall in the mild-moderate authoritarian left category, and I would prefer to be called a populist.”

[…]

Later in the manifest, the shooter insists, “I would prefer to call myself a populist. But you can call me an ethno-nationalist eco-fascist national socialist if you want, I wouldn’t disagree with you.” He also repeatedly attacks capitalists, and rejected the conservative label because, he wrote, “conservativism is corporatism in disguise, I want no part of it.”

If this is indeed the shooter’s manifesto, it’s hardly the writing of a “far-right extremist.” But the Left has a narrative to prop up and the mainstream media are all Democrats with bylines.

Without downplaying the white supremacist angle or the devastation Gendron visited on 13 people and their loved ones, this is hardly a slam dunk for what seems to be an all-out effort ahead of the November midterms to demonize not just the “far-right” but the 74 million Americans who voted for Trump, about whom Brandon, extending his hand in unity, said, “This MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in recent American history.”

I don’t think it’s a stretch to predict that what happened in Buffalo this past weekend will continue to be spoken of as “white supremacy” and “racially motivated hate crime” (which it certainly seems like it was) but without the detail that Gendron described himself as being on the Left. In other words, the media will use the words that most Americans associate with the far-right but conveniently ignore that those words, at least in this case, actually describe someone on the Left.

Daily Broadside | Rich Guy Tells the Plebes It’s Patriotic to Pay More for Gas

Daily Verse | Joshua 11:20
For it was the Lord himself who hardened their hearts to wage war against Israel, so that he might destroy them totally, exterminating them without mercy, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Monday’s Reading: Joshua 13-17

Monday and we’re really beginning to feel the voter effect of #NeverTrump and the Democrats, and the insane globalist, racist, cultural Marxist, biology and science-defying, climate-terrified Covidiots who think utopia is just over the horizon if only we get rid of the historically reliable capitalist means that have created the once-greatest nation in the history of the world and replace them with a Tyrant.

They owe us an apology for their short-sighted and media-infected rejection of president-in-exile Donald J. Trump, who had gotten us back on our feet and made us energy-independent until the Fool they put in office cancelled the Keystone Pipeline and banned fracking on federal lands while demanding we all turn ourselves into lab rats for a medically-unnecessary jab for a virus that mainly killed the elderly and the obese while withholding proven treatments that would’ve save a lot of lives.

The allegedly 81 million Americans who voted for Biden in 2020 got played, hard. And they owe the rest of us a big apology, and a promise to never screw our nation over like this again.

Yes, Trump was a jerk. You know what he wasn’t? Dangerously incompetent. Or barely kept motoring with a personalized daily slushie of embalming fluid.

It’s time for the Americans who saddled us with this embarrassment of a president to realize that they did exactly what they self-righteously accepted from mass media they were saving our nation from: voting for a four-year national disaster.

One of my daughters sent me a picture of her latest fill up at a gas station, along with appropriate gratitude to the one who made it possible.

Gas is now over $4/gal. where I live and jumped to over $5/gal. where one of my other daughters live. She is now seriously thinking about moving to a lower-cost state.

Then there’s the self-righteous, no longer relevant George Takei, who’s worth $14M, telling us plebes to take one for the team. I won’t link you to this moron’s account, but the responses have been blistering, and rightly so.

It reminds me of a co-worker who once told me she was willing to pay more taxes to take care of illegal aliens. Government creates problems, frames fixing them as a moral virtue, then takes your money to “fix” the problems.

And if you complain, you’re EVIL.

The problem is … the problems are never fixed. And there are always more problems to be fixed, requiring more of your hard-earned money to fix them.

Meanwhile, our politicians laugh all the way to the bank.

These people are absolutely shameless, yet they claim to be champions of the poor, the minimum wage earners, the less fortunate.

You know who Brandon’s policies are absolutely decimating? Yeah, the poor, the minimum wage earners, the less fortunate.

I’m solidly middle-class, and I’m feeling the pinch. But the very people progressives claim to be fighting for are the very ones who can least afford this administration’s policies.

The Democrats are in for a shellacking this November but unless we take back all three branches of government, nothing will change. We’ve got to wipe the Democrats out—I mean, COMPLETELY OUT—in November, and then put Trump or DeSantis in the Big Chair two years later.

Then we need to go on a total law-making tear that lock in truly patriotic goals, like term limits, teaching authentic American history to our children, a balanced budget law, making socialism illegal, mandating voter ID and in-person voting on election day, completing the wall on our southern border, and outlawing the Democrat party.

I jest on that last one. Or do I?

If you want to see the change, get out there and either run for office yourself (start local) or work on behalf of a trustworthy candidate. Knock on doors and donate what you can.

It’s the only way back.

Daily Broadside | Whistling Past the Graveyard With Eyes Wide Shut

Daily Verse | Leviticus 5:5
When anyone is guilty in any of these ways, he must confess in what way he has sinned.

Friday’s Reading: 8-10
Saturday’s Reading: 11-15

It’s Friday and the end of the week, leaving January in the rearview mirror with February already plowing ahead. We dodged the threat of heavy snow in the Midwest this week, but I’m in the Northeast and it’s getting hammered by the same system. Have I mentioned that I hate snow?

Following on the heels of the post I shared yesterday comes this commentary about Whoopsie-Daisy Goldberg, née Caryn Elaine Johnson, who demonstrated last Monday either an appalling lack of knowledge or an appalling indoctrination to CRT in which there can be no racism unless it involves white on black oppression.

She said on The View that the Holocaust “isn’t about race. It’s about man’s inhumanity to man. That’s what it’s about.” She later doubled-down, saying, “But these are two white groups of people,” implying again that Hitler’s slaughter of the Jews wasn’t about “race.”

She later apologized and was suspended for two weeks to give her time to think it over.

Seth Grossman picks it up here:

However, Whoopi’s statements perfectly reflect the narrative of the “woke” black history and Critical Race Theory that saturates our public schools, colleges, media, and Hollywood/TV entertainment.

That narrative goes like this: until about 600 years ago, most people in the world lived peaceful, comfortable, and environmentally sustainable lives.

Then, in the 1400s, a bunch of white men in Europe went crazy.  While abusing their women, they built ships and weapons to attack and exploit the rest of the world.  These crazy white men exterminated Native Americans, enslaved black Africans, and impoverished Asians.  They also started wars and polluted the planet to cause the catastrophic “climate crisis” we have today.

That summary is true about what’s happened in the West and in the U.S. in particular. But here’s where Grossman ties the incident to what happened in Nazi Germany prior to Hitler’s attempt to exterminate the entire Jewish race off the European continent.

According to TIK History, Marxism is but one of many varieties of socialism.   However, all socialists to some degree blame a small “unsocialized” group for the problems of their society.  They all weaken or eliminate them and steal some or all of their stuff.  Some socialists are more extreme than others.  Revolutionary France killed its priests and aristocrats in 1792 and took their stuff.  Communists in Russia did that to land and business owners in 1919.  The Communist regime in China did it after World War II.

According to TIK History, it was politically easier for German “National Socialists” (Nazis) to select Jews rather than all rich businessmen and landowners, as their “unsocialized” group to attack and rob.

What he’s saying is that socialism, which is the dominant philosophy being taught in our universities under the guise of social justice and being woke, is also preparing the ground for a Nazi-like takeover. He writes, “There are many similarities between what Germans believed in the years before Hitler and what ‘woke’ culture is teaching black Americans today.” He goes on to list what blacks are being taught:

  1. Every problem and failure in their communities is caused by somebody else, namely past or present “racist” whites.
  2. Skin color makes every black American a special person who cannot be understood or represented by anyone with a different skin color.
  3. Only black Americans suffered from slavery years ago and only whites were slaveowners.  Only black Americans suffer from rude or unfair treatment and insults. Therefore, black Americans can never be guilty of racism or bigotry.
  4. Political power, not education, training, planning, or discipline is the only way black Americans can succeed.  Since elections have replaced wars, the Democratic Party is today’s black army.  “Ballot harvesters” are today’s soldiers.
  5. Black Americans are entitled to use political power, violence, or “any means necessary” to take what they “need” from those with a different skin color who have more.  That can be through looting, higher minimum wages, “redistribution” or “reparations.”

The net effect of such a toxic narrative? A division of our country into competing tribes where one is the “oppressed” and the other is the “oppressor.” Jews were demonized in the same way during the run-up to 1939, when the Germans invaded Poland.

This thinking caused millions of Germans to embrace National Socialism in the 1920s and 1930s.  Once National Socialists had absolute political power in Germany, there was no peaceful way to stop them.  While this was happening in Germany, very similar events were happening in Italy and Japan.  This thinking caused 14 years of world war and the deaths of some 85 million people — roughly 3% of the world’s population.  Sadly, this will happen again unless most Americans quickly understand and reject the lies and evil of this “woke” culture.

It’s too easy to dismiss this as fear-mongering and alarmist. But history proves that the pattern we see in the U.S. these days has led to catastrophic results. To dismiss such thinking out of hand or to ignore it because it seems like just a temporary tantrum being thrown by one segment of our society is to leave ourselves vulnerable.

The better question to ask is whether or not there’s an historical example of such a pattern being recognized and stopped. If not, what makes us so sure that our own case will be different?

Have a good weekend.

Daily Broadside | Losers Cry “Racism” Because They’ve Got Nothing Else

Daily Verse | John 17:3
“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

Thursday’s Reading: John 18-21

Happy Thursday, Broadsiders! I’m still struggling with energy levels in the wake of the Beijing Blast. I’m not a natural “A-type” but neither am I a slacker, and my lack of energy is profound. The doctor says it will be a full month of week-to-week improvement before I get my full energy levels back. I’m not the only one who’s struggled with it … several others who got the Peking Lung Pox have said they dealt with the same thing.

You want to know how stupid, pedantic, pathetic, intellectually lazy, psychologically irrational and out of touch the Left is? You needn’t look any further than the lickspittle flying in response to Glenn Youngkin’s gubernatorial win in Virginia last night along with Lt. Governor Winsome Sears, a Jamacian immigrant who came to the U.S. when she was 6 years old. Old Dominion voters also gave the GOP a sweep of all statewide races (first time in 12 years) and the state legislature too.

But what was the refrain? Racism!

That’s right, the same “white nationalists” who voted for lilly-white Joe Biden just one year ago now voted for a white businessman, a black female Marine Corps veteran, and Hispanic Republican Jason Miyares who will become the first Latino attorney general in Virginia’s history (and the first Latino to win a statewide race). Here’s what he said: “”Fifty-six years ago, my mother fled Cuba — with nothing but a dream … for a better life for her family. Now I stand here today — elected to be the attorney general of the Commonwealth of Virginia.”

Yep, we’re nation of f***ing racists.

Here’s just a taste of the meltdown. You can get a more thorough list here.

Kirsten Powers: Republicans will use “these issues to scare people.” Ohhhh! Skary! She may be a sister in Christ, but she’s a race-baiting Democrat.

Here’s a good example of one long on hysterics but short on facts:

Never heard of this woman.

MSNBC’s race-baiter-in-chief Joy Reid:

How about this as a rejoinder?

Or this?

Former ESPN anchor and left-wing writer Jemele Hill declared, “It’s not the messaging, folks. This country simply loves white supremacy.”

Murdock pointed out that people like Hill and the plethora of MSNBC pundits conveniently forgot that minorities won elections on Tuesday, too.

“The same ‘White nationalists’ who elected Republican Glenn Youngkin governor of Virginia voted for Republican Winsome Sears, a Black woman, as lieutenant governor,” Murdock said. “How racist! They also elected Republican Jason Miyares, a Hispanic man, as their next attorney general. What bigots!”

The Democrats are a race-obsessed cultural Marxist criminal organization that should be outlawed. I make no apology for saying so. They are a cancer on the body politic; irrational, stuck on feckless ideologies and committed to lawlessness. Again, I take no pleasure in making the observation, but if you’re going to divide America into White and Black and Asian and Hispanic, then you just got the big middle finger from White America telling you to stuff it up your backside.

We’re not a racist nation, the vast majority of White Americans aren’t racist and you racism-cry-babies got nothing.

Daily Broadside | Culture Shock is Being Imposed on Us

Daily Verse | Amos 8:11
“The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign Lord,
“when I will send a famine through the land —
not a famine of food or a thirst for water,
but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord.

Happy Tuesday, my Broadside friends. After inventorying my life, I’ve found that I’m low on Flintstones Chewable multivitamins.

Although the Resident and his junior commies in the White House have tried to sandbag reporters’ efforts to report on the southern border, it’s no secret that THERE IS NO SOUTHERN BORDER. You have been paying attention, haven’t you?

The shocking news out of Del Rio, Texas, is that there are now 15,000 foreigners — mostly Haitians — now illegally camped on our soil, with thousands more arriving every day, camped in a shantytown under a bridge.

Some reports say that up to 85 percent of them are Haitian. We don’t share a border with Haiti. Nor does Mexico. So where are these people coming from? How are they getting here?

The Center for Immigration Studies sent a reporter to ask the people themselves where they came from and how they got here, and the answer is shocking for what it reveals about our clueless, incompetent, irresponsible and malicious ruling class.

The surprising answer, which the migrants provided independently in different places and at different times, was universal: on Sunday, September 12, the Mexican government effectively sent a mass of migrants it had bottled up for months in its southern states up to the American border. This move, which appears to have been done under the cover of Mexico’s independence week of celebration known as El Grito, essentially foisted a humanitarian problem onto the Americans in a single week.

Even more disturbing is that once on American soil, many of these illegals will be freed to move around the U.S. unencumbered (my emphasis).

Many are now boarding yet more buses inside the camp, these ones provided by DHS to take them to Border Patrol processing stations. Some may be deported. But most likely will spend a day or two until they get temporary resident permits and a date to appear at an American immigration office in the city of their choice. Then under current Biden policies for families and unaccompanied minors, a great many will be released to travel anywhere in America, boarding yet more buses to those cities and towns.

But here’s the real kicker: most of the Haitians aren’t coming directly from Haiti. They’re coming from countries where they had already relocated and settled (my emphasis).

Based on a report from the New York Times a day or so ago, most are not actually from Haiti anymore, they are resettled refugees from countries such as Brazil, who cannot claim refugee status since being settled. They are economic migrants who are now country-shopping for better benefits packages and prospects. That’s not the same as refugees in flight, much as Julian Castro would have us think.

What are we, on the market? Did someone hang a sign on America announcing, “Vacancy”? Of course they did.

While Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says our border is closed, here’s the terrifying truth: “The surge to the Del Rio sector follows roughly 200,000 Border Patrol contacts in August. According to projections, the southern border will see as many as two million illegal crossings in 2021.”

What this amounts to is a full-scale invasion of our country. We’re not carefully and thoughtfully controlling who and how many people we allow to immigrate here. We’re not trying to preserve our unique American culture and balance our compassion for the tired, poor and huddled masses with a sense of self-preservation. Of course, such thinking is shamed as racist and xenophobic, not intelligent and consistent with a people of consequence.

I’ve said before that the Democrats support population displacement, and this is another example of it. Another example are the 95,000 unvetted Afghans that Biden administration is resettling in the U.S. over the next year — and 10 Republican governors support his plan!

Hey, with “conservatives” like these, who needs liberals?

These people are irreversibly and insanely demolishing the unique American culture we once shared as a nation by replacing born and bred American citizens with masses of third world dependents who think, probably correctly, that the U.S. government will take care of them. Not to mention the incredible financial impact and burden millions of immigrants place on our hospitals, schools and other infrastructure.

In her book, “¡Adios America!” Ann Coulter writes,

“If U.S. schools still taught U.S. history, this would not come as an exciting surprise, but America is not a nation of immigrants. it’s a nation of British and Dutch settlers. We all have a stake in preserving what they created—”we” meaning all of us, except the very rich and the Democratic Party. If America disappears—the America liberals hate and Wall Street is indifferent to—everyone will suffer” and, few paragraphs later, “Once America is gone, there won’t be anyplace left to go.”

The Democrats and quisling Republicans who collaborate with them are intentionally destroying our nation. It doesn’t matter whether you think taking in millions of poor, uneducated and unassimilated people who are ignorant of American concepts like freedom and self-reliance is noble or stupid — you can’t deny that it is transforming the character of our country and what will be lost will never be regained.

Daily Broadside | Olympic Ratings Crash; No One Knows What Happened!

Daily Verse | Isaiah 30:21
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Happy Monday as we turn the page to August. Is it still a quarter to run a load at your local laundrymat?

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t watched any of the Olympics. None of it. And I’m not the only one who isn’t watching.

The first night of competition on Saturday averaged 15.9 million viewers, down 32% from the comparable night of the Rio Summer Games in 2016. NBC’s audience rose to 20 million viewers on Sunday, down 36% compared with five years ago. Monday’s competition scored 16.8 million viewers, off 46% from the 31.5 million who watched on the comparable night in 2016.

The 2021 figures include the average number of people watching on streaming platforms, which hit a record Monday, for an Olympics, with 746,000 viewers.

What has caused the decline in ratings? Well, there are these culprits:

The decline from the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro partly reflects the long-running drop in traditional TV audiences, which have been lured away by streaming. And while sports ratings have bounced back this year from 2020, many events are down from pre-pandemic levels.

But NBC has faced other challenges in attracting Olympics viewers this year, from empty stadiums caused by pandemic restrictions, to Tokyo’s 13-hour time difference with the U.S. East Coast, to high-profile athletes dropping out of the competition.

And the Olympics aren’t the only event to suffer from steep drop-offs in viewers.

The 2020 Olympic Games are just the latest TV event to feel the pain of steep ratings drops over the past year.

Every major TV awards show hit a record low in 2021 including the Oscars, which drew just under 10 million viewers, a 58% decline from 2020.

The 2020 World Series had its smallest audience in history with 9.6 million viewers last fall.

Even the Super Bowl, which had largely been resistant to the overall erosion of traditional viewing, saw its TV audience hit a 14-year low in February while more people streamed the game online than ever before.

This may be just me, but the reason I’m not watching isn’t because I’ve been lured away by streaming services or because there’s a 13-hour time difference with Tokyo or because I was crushed that Simone Biles dropped out of the competition. In fact, I didn’t watch the Oscars, the World Series, the NBA Finals, or the Super Bo—okay, I did watch the Super Bowl, but only because Tom Brady was making history. And I didn’t watch any football during the season.

Neither of the publications I cite above listed the reason I’m not watching.

I’m not watching the Olympics for the same reason I didn’t watch the Oscars, the World Series or the NBA Finals: they’ve all gone woke. I’m not interested in watching ingrates, like Gwen Berry or Meghan Rapinoe or LeBron James, complain about their circumstances and demonize the country in which they’ve had their success. They’ve disgraced themselves and their country.

While I am not actively cheering for these whiners to lose, I won’t mind if they do, so that they have no platform from which to be an activist.

Having said that, however, I do want to point out one athlete in particular. She’s a 21-year-old black athlete (her skin color doesn’t matter to me, but skin color is all the rage right now, so I mention it) and she set a world-record in the 400-meter hurdles.

Sydney McLaughlin is the first woman in the history of the event to run it under 52 seconds. And, even better than that, was her profession of faith after winning the Olympic trial.

“I think the biggest difference this year is my faith, trusting God and trusting that process, and knowing that He’s in control of everything. As long as I put the hard work in, He’s going to carry me through. And I really cannot do anything more but give the glory to Him at this point.”

No grandstanding. No complaining. No selling out her country. Just a humble acknowledgement of God and His work in her life.

Then, on Friday night, she won her first qualifying round.

The Dunellen native, running in her second Olympics, practically jogged to a victory in her 400-meter hurdles preliminary heat, advancing to the semifinals and leaving no doubt about her status as the gold-medal favorite.

And then, when it was over, she made a powerful statement that the big expectations don’t bother her.

“Pressure is an illusion,” the 21-year-old said. “It’s what you make of it. I’m just here to have fun and represent my country.”

So far, so good.

Yes — so far, good. She’s just there to have fun and represent her country. How refreshing. I just might watch hurdling to cheer her on.

Daily Broadside | How To Defeat Uncertainty Between the Races

Daily Verse | 2 Chronicles 12:14
King Rehoboam did evil because he had not
set his heart on seeking the Lord.

Happy Monday my friends. I’ve only met one person I wanted to spend my whole life with.

It’s no secret that our country is being torn apart by Critical Race Theory, which posits that power is based on race, rather than personal character, skill or achievement. In today’s narrative, if you’re white, you’re inherently racist and therefore an oppressor; if you’re a person of color, and especially if you’re black, you’re a victim of a power imbalance that is the result of a rigged system.

This ideology has swept colleges, corporations and, unfortunately, even churches. Not all churches, not all corporations, not all colleges, but enough to further erode our culture. We’ve seen with blazing clarity this last year the effect it’s had through Burn Loot Murder and antifa’s destructive marauding through our cities. We’ve seen it with companies like Coca-Cola that tell us to “try to be less white.” And we see it with “woke” majority-white churches that abase themselves before black brethren for sins they didn’t commit against them and preach a gospel of social justice.

I realized recently that while I completely reject CRT and the nonsense it espouses, I’ve nonetheless been affected by it personally. And by that I mean that I have become hyper-aware of race. Because of the constant drumbeat of “white supremacy,” “white privilege,” “systemic” or “institutional” racism and how aggrieved blacks are portrayed in the media, I find myself second-guessing interactions I have with someone of another color—especially blacks.

Last week an Amazon delivery truck pulled into my driveway while I was outside doing some yard work. Since I was there, I walked over to the truck to take the parcel from the driver, figuring I could save him some time. As I approached the truck, I saw that the driver was a young black man.

Normally I’d walk up, say “Hi” and complete the transaction without giving it a second thought. But this time my brain started asking questions even though I hadn’t asked it to.

“Does he think I’m a racist?”

“I wonder if he resents delivering packages to white people in the suburbs?”

“I wonder if he’s angry at me?”

“Will wishing him a good evening once I’ve got the package be interpreted as I think I’m superior to him?”

“Does anything I say even matter to him?”

These questions all floated, unwelcome, through my mind as I walked over to the truck. Note that I couldn’t possibly answer any of them—they all depended on what he thought, and I couldn’t possibly know what he thought unless he told me.

In the end, I greeted him, he said “Hey,” he gave me my package, I thanked him and said, “Have a good one.” He wished me the same. No sign of contempt from him. Just a guy doing his job.

But the experience deeply bothered me. I have never been so conscious of race and have always treated everyone the same, no matter their skin color or national origin. I can’t claim to have done so perfectly but, frankly, I’d be surprised if anyone can. Motivated by my Christian faith, I keep in mind that I’ve never locked eyes with anyone who didn’t matter to God. As the old children’s song goes,

Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight,
Jesus loves the little children of the world.

I leaned on that knowledge and brushed the other thoughts away from my mind. But that’s evidence of the damage being done to our society. The few people I’ve shared that story with have immediately recognized themselves in it. CRT activists are causing whites to second-guess themselves, creating uncertainty. Uncertainty leads to division and demoralizes those who can’t sort it out.

Over the weekend I flew to Atlanta and stayed overnight in a hotel in Marietta, Georgia. I shared the elevator several times with black men and women. It never got wonky, it was always friendly and the only vibe I got was from a young black guy wearing a “Black Lives Matter” facemask. He didn’t say anything or acknowledge my presence even though we were the only two in the elevator.

But so what? Everyone else was friendly. I took some encouragement from that. Maybe most blacks are cool with whites; maybe they don’t buy what BLM is selling. Most whites I know are cool with blacks and are horrified to be thought of as racist.

Me, I’m going to keep going back to the scriptures. That’s my foundation. If I do what God calls me to do, then I’ve done what is right—even if those questions present themselves—and the grievance mongers can complain to Him if I don’t go along with the program.
