Daily Broadside | General Michael Flynn (Ret.) Warns Biden Admin. to Declare National Emergency Before Elections

Honestly, I thought Obama was going to declare martial law prior to Trump being inaugurated. But Obama doesn’t want the appearance of getting his hands dirty, so he’ll just pull the strings from behind the scenes.

“We should be prepared for this administration to declare some type of national emergency. I really, really, I feel that, I know some of the things that they’re doing in the White House right now, that they’re contemplating.

“This is not politics as usual, folks. This is not about big government and little government, less taxes and more taxes. This is now about whether or not our country is going to be the United Socialist States of America, or the United States of America. And I as a former blue collar Kennedy Democrat, right? I’ll, I’ll go at it with anybody today, but we are in a really, we’re in a grave moment in time, and I want people to understand that, I really want people to understand that.”

Makes sense to me. This administration has already disregarded the rule of law and is throwing anything and everything at the opposition, especially their lawfare against Trump and the cheating they did in the 2020 election and the cheating they undoubtably have planned in 2024.

Why not devise some pretext for declaring a national emergency and suspend the presidential election? They’ve got half the country with them and judges and politicians in high places. Democrats can’t win on the issues—they can only win if they cheat. And they can only win when they cheat if the margin of victory is close enough that they can manufacture enough votes to cover the gap.

I personally don’t think we can vote our way out of this mess. Not any more. The best we can do is buy some time, but even that is tenuous. We thought we had time when Trump was president, but the cultural Marxists harassed and prosecuted him throughout his time in office, and they’re still at it because he’s a major threat to their hold on power.

Think about it: he’s not anything close to what they accuse him of being—a dictator, a Russian stooge, a white supremacist, an insurrectionist. Those all describe the current tool in the White House is. It’s all projection.

It’s time to embrace the fact that we’re being overrun by a Marxist virus that was incubated in our universities and has now infected our entire culture. In my view, the only way we will avoid becoming a socialist or communist state is by fighting our way out of it.

I don’t want to say it (again) but a new civil war—a real war, with real shooting and violence and death and destruction—appears to me to be inevitable. It may not happen this year or next, but I don’t see a way out because the Left is well-funded and persists in “flooding the zone”—a constant barrage of agitation and litigation and corruption of everything that normal Americans have held dear.

There isn’t anyone coming to save us from our enemies. It’s going to come down to those who love what America was meant to be and want to see that order restored. Otherwise it will be a hasty collapse into a surveillance state in which your freedoms are choked off, slowly but surely.

It’s already happening.

Daily Broadside | The Left is Burning It All Down

I often find myself mourning the death of historical, traditional America. I sit in my middle class home in my middle class neighborhood, enjoying the fruit of my labor, watching my children take their next steps into adulthood, thanking God for His grace and goodness, and it seems so … normal. It’s more or less what I grew up with and it’s what I want to leave to the generations who come after me.

Yet pull out to 50,000 feet and it’s anything but “normal.” Victor Davis Hanson, or VDH as he’s known, put his finger on it in his most recent column: “The Left is waging a full-fledged cultural revolution against traditional America. And the Maoist results are often as absurd as they are terrifying.”

He goes on to catalogue the catastrophe that the Left has wrought on the country, starting with the damning Durham report.

The summary confirms that our premier investigatory and intelligence agencies interfered in the 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns. 

Directors and high-ranking FBI officials lied under oath. They misled Congress. They altered court documents and deceived federal judges. 

The FBI hired a foreign national to gather dirt on Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign—while he was being paid by the rival Hillary Clinton campaign.

The FBI contracted Twitter to suppress news stories. It kept the Hunter Biden laptop under wraps, even as former intelligence officials flat out lied it was likely “Russian disinformation.” That was a blatant effort to aid the 2020 Biden campaign.

Note that not one of the offenders have been called to account for their malfeasance.

Not. One.

This is not only the most egregious political crime in the history of the United States — yes, much greater than Watergate — it’s an outrageous betrayal of the social contract binding our country together. It’s a massive corruption of our legal and political system, which effectively demolishes the Constitutional order and makes us, what?

It’s not the United States of America.

VDH goes on to list the Black Grievance Grift that’s splitting us apart while the lead agitators enrich themselves; the political persecution of a young Marine who restrained a man threatening passengers on the subway — a hero in any other age now mortified as a vigilante with the perpetrator lauded as a victim of racism and oppression; and the degradation of athletic competition as biological males routinely beat female competitors in women’s sports. And then:

Under pressure from the LGBTQ activists, the Los Angeles Dodgers reinvited the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” to celebrate Pride night at Dodger Stadium. 

Catholics and Christians had objected to the invitation because the group’s notoriety hinges on its sexualized and often pornographic mockery of Catholic ritual, the Holy Trinity, and Christian faith. 

The supposedly courageous group would never dare extend its street-theater blasphemy to other religious groups such as Muslims or Hindus. 

In a piece specifically about the Dodgers’ decision, Micah Meadowcroft writes that Christians, in particular, are no longer operating from a position of cultural strength, but weakness.

As goes baseball, so goes the country. America’s pastime may be much diminished from its golden age, but in a culturally fractured moment nostalgia makes it all the more important as a symbol. So it is worth noting, suggesting something of catacombs, when the Los Angeles Dodgers would rather offend Christians and sitting U.S. senators than risk the wrath of the homosexual lobby.

A decade, then, at least for one professional baseball organization, is how long it takes for pro-gay to become anti-Christian. This is baseball, recall; the team needn’t really have ever taken a public position on the sexual revolution, let alone prostrate, but here it is, and it says much more about American culture as a whole than about the Dodgers in particular. There was a culture war, once, and you lost.

But think for a moment about what has happened here. A large-market baseball team—an avatar of American culture and big business—was pressured by religious groups and a sitting U.S. senator to maintain a recently expected standard of public decorum. They did not protest a Pride Night and the Dodgers’ celebration of sexual expressivism, only an obviously anti-Catholic and even anti-Christian demonstration. This was a request for toleration from a position of weakness. And now there is no hesitation to trample. 

I encourage you to read the whole thing (both VDH and Meadowcroft). They don’t even touch on the open border with hundreds of thousands of foreigners being allowed to violate our sovereignty, the ramifications of which we can’t even imagine; the coordinated lawsuits against parents and schools for not allowing their children to be sexualized; the profound revelation that elections in swing states are in fact rigged (and there’s no strategy adopted for fixing it); the lawlessness allowed to go unchallenged in Democrat-led cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Baltimore, Austin, Portland and any number of hellholes in between; and much more evidence that this is not your father’s America.

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ apology letter re-inviting the anti-Catholic Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to Pride Night reads like the unwinding of a grueling struggle session. And it ends in a predictably pitiful way, with the reactionaries promising “to better educate” themselves in the future.

In contemporary parlance, to “educate” oneself means allowing intellectually and morally stunted clowns — literally, in this case — to bully you. Because LGBT activists, like BLM activists, never need to be “educated” about anything. They have achieved enlightenment.

No, it’s the slack-jawed yokels who cling to thousands of years of intellectual and theological tradition who need lessons from the geniuses who spend Easter Sunday dressed in Virgin Mary drag, passing out condoms on a 13-stop bar crawl mocking the Stations of the Cross. The Dodgers are merely celebrating diversity by sponsoring a group that simulates sex scenes on crucifixes. Why are you fanatics starting another culture war?

Daily Broadside | We’re In The Very Best of Hands

Hey, remember when 51 security officials all signed and published a letter declaring that the Hunter Biden laptop “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation”? They all swore that in their expert opinion, we should ignore the emails, documents, videos and pictures that painted a picture of Hunter Biden as a whoring, exhibitionist drug user who sold his father’s influence for millions of dollars that he took for himself, his friends, and associates with ten percent for the “Big Guy” because Russia’s objectives were “to create political chaos in the United States” and “to undermine the candidacy of former Vice President Biden and thereby help the candidacy of President Trump.”

Probably all deep fakes and AI propaganda, right?

Yeah, well, that letter is exactly what we thought it was: a disinformation op organized by the Biden campaign and, specifically, by Anthony Blinken, the foreign policy advisor for the Biden campaign and current Secretary of State.

A former acting CIA director has admitted to Congress that he organized the letter that falsely portrayed Hunter Biden’s laptop as Russian disinformation in an effort to influence the 2020 election in favor of Joe Biden and that he did so at the direction of current Secretary of State Antony Blinken, according to a letter released Thursday by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan.

The extraordinary admission by career intelligence officer Michael J. Morell provides stunning evidence that the now-infamous letter from 51 security officials in October 2021 was not an organic intelligence community initiative but rather a political dirty trick originating with Blinken and the Biden campaign.

Jordan sent a letter demanding Blinken answer a series of questions about Morell’s stunning testimony, as lawmakers weighed the enormity of America’s top diplomat being willing to accuse a nuclear-armed superpower of interfering in the 2020 election without evidence. That letter included major snippets of Morell’s testimony.

“A political dirty trick.” That doesn’t even begin to describe it — it’s the very definition of election interference. Morell admits that he did what he did to help get Biden elected. They wanted to put these immoral scags in office because OrangeManBad.

He also testified that the Biden campaign team coordinated to release the statement on the laptop to a specific reporter at the Washington Post and admitted that he got involved to help give Biden a leg up on Trump during the debates. 

“There were two intents,” he said. “One intent was to share our concern with the American people that the Russians were playing on this issue; and, two, it was [to] help Vice President.” When asked why he wanted to help Biden, he replied, “because I wanted him to win the election.”

Blinken, Morell, and this cadre of soulless, unAmerican spooks conspired to sow doubt about what we knew then and know now: that the laptop is Hunter Biden’s and proves that the Biden family is a criminal enterprise that has enriched itself off the backs of the American people while it destroys our country.

In a sworn interview with the House Judiciary Committee last week, Morell admitted it was Joe Biden’s presidential campaign that prompted him to write the infamous letter, according to the Post.

After hearing from Blinken, Morell admitted that he solicited signatures for his letter from 50 other former intel officials.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is set to release a report in the next couple of weeks on the origins of the “Dirty 51” letter, and it will reportedly show “it constituted corrupt interference in the 2020 presidential election.”

“We can prove that the entire purpose of this letter at the outset was to influence a presidential election with some of the most senior people who have ever been in our intelligence community ­using the imprimatur of their security clearances to pave the way for Joe Biden’s presidency,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) told Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast this week.

“Morell wanted to be Joe Biden’s CIA director, got a phone call from Tony Blinken, who was representing the Biden campaign, saying, ‘Gee, Mike, doesn’t this Hunter Biden laptop look like Russian disinformation?’ ” said Gaetz.

“Morell testifies that then triggers him to be the ringleader of an enterprise to go to others and to put together a letter for the specific purpose of use by Joe Biden in the presidential debate … We can prove that and much more,” the Florida congressman added.

Unlike Adam Schiff-for-brains who claimed to have irrefutable evidence of Trump’s RUSSIAN COLLUSION!, I trust that when Gaetz says they can prove it, they can prove it. And it would be nice, when they do, if SOMEONE WOULD GO TO PRISON.

Two days ago, Marjorie Taylor Green added more disturbing allegations about Hunter and the whole Biden family. Watch the video and have a barf bag nearby.

It’s all coming so fast and furious. There’s also an anonymous whistleblower alleging a coverup in the Hunter Biden investigation that involves possible perjury on the part of — wait for it — Attorney General Merrick Garland.

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Merrick Garland is the unnamed official whose sworn testimony before Congress is being challenged in a bombshell letter from an IRS whistleblower’s attorney that also alleges a coverup in the Hunter Biden criminal investigation, The Post has learned.

Attorney Mark Lytle wrote Wednesday that the longtime IRS employee wants to provide information to congressional leaders to “contradict sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee” — Garland —and also to detail “preferential treatment” in the criminal probe of the first son.

The whistleblower already made disclosures to the inspectors general of the Treasury and Justice departments.

Please give me a second to catch my breath and absorb what I’ve just learned. Like you, I couldn’t have seen this coming in a million years.

These nasty anti-American grifters and power-mad politicians have done untold damage to our country. Without their interference, Trump may very well have had another four years to build on the foundation he laid during his first four. Instead, we’re in an economic, political and moral nightmare foisted on us by a few untouchables in the top echelons of government.

Government of the people, by the people and for the people is no longer true in our nation.

Our society is falling down around our heads, led by the evil and relentless progressive Democrats, media, national institutions and NeverTrump (I yet repeat myself quadrupley). But the one thing that never changes is the persistent strength of God alone.

Daily Broadside | You’re Not the Boss of Me

Monday and a new week in the lead up to Palm Sunday.

If you’ve followed me for a while you know that I am documenting what I believe is a rapid collapse of the United States as founded. Our culture and institutions are sagging under the weight of cultural Marxism in the form of woke orthodoxy or what some are now calling “critical consciousness.”

In a helpful piece that got me thinking about this, the author references an article on Critical Consciousness in New Discourses, where Lindsay says,

… a critical consciousness, sometimes referred to as “critical literacy” or “social justice literacy” […] refers essentially to assuming that society is constructed by systems of power that manifest dominance and oppression mostly in terms of “intersecting” demographic group identities. The slang term for this specific type of critical consciousness, arising since the Black Lives Matter movement propelled it to a widespread meme, is “wokeness.”

I’ve written at length on “Critical Theory” in a six-part series I did here and this article put another piece of the puzzle in place for me by naming the Brazilian Marxist educator Paulo Freire, who is also the villain when it comes to the Marxist destruction of the Church.

We absolutely must hold firm against the unrelenting pressure campaigns of critical consciousness or “wokeness.” One of the first ways to do this is to declare that you will not cooperate with the Marxists, and I came across a post from Jeff Goldstein at Protein Wisdom that expresses this idea so well that I am going to recommend that you read it from start to finish.

But let me give you a taste what he says and which I endorse (with one exception). Here’s how he starts:

Be it so understood:

I refuse to “unpack white violence.” I reject the idea that my existence “perpetuates white power structures.” I will not — and in fact cannot â€” “examine my implicit biases.” I’m an individual. I refuse to grant determined interpretive communities authority over my being. My meaning is mine. It is what makes me me.

I’m not taking any “journey” to “discover” the impact of my “privilege” on “black and brown peoples.” I will not become “anti-racist” or “anti-fascist” to satisfy your demands. I reject Cultural Marxism. I am an individual. I’m not defined by my color, my religion, my sex. I’m Jeff.

I will not “respect your pronouns” or “celebrate” your “queerness.” I am hostile to your sexualizing of children. I reject your neologisms, your “triggers,” and your desire to control my speech. I know who and what you are: you are my presumptive master, or else the Useful Idiot who empowers him. But I will grant you and your ideology no power over me.

I reject “equity” because it is collectivism disguised as virtue. I reject “inclusivity” because it is inorganic, superficial, and contrived. I reject mandated “diversity”: I will not surrender to the Crayon Box Mafia, nor to the gender changelings who pretend I am a construct answerable to their whims.

“Cultural appropriation” is merely culture: it expands to include, and it makes up the very fabric of a pluralist society. There’s no such thing as “digital blackface.” My whiteness is not “violent”; my sex is not “oppressive”; my religion doesn’t concern you; and my children are not yours to mold. Your beliefs will not be imposed on me. The State will not parent my sons.

“Queer theory” is “critical race theory” is “critical consciousness” is the Marxist rejection of the individual as individual. Cultural Marxism is determined to raze norms, sow chaos, tear families asunder, and reduce being to collective conformity. I reject its premises as fully as I reject its adherents. I will not comply.

He goes on further, just like that. I wish that I had written it myself. My one quibble? Unlike Goldstein, I won’t spit on the enemy’s graves when we win. I will not gloat, I will not shame, I will not abuse. But I will hold the line and I will refuse to surrender. We need more of that fighting spirit when it comes to defeating the cancer that is eating away at our national vital organs.

Daily Broadside | What Happens in Canada Won’t Stay in Canada

Last Friday I wrote that Christians need to be prepared “to be persecuted, to be an ‘object of amusement’ being destroyed ‘not for the public good but to gratify the cruelty of an individual’ — or a political party.” I gave you the examples of Garland’s DOJ spying on the Catholic Church and punishing a pro-life father for an incident at an abortion clinic for which he had already been cleared by local authorities.

Today I’ve got two more examples for you. The first is the case of two LGBTQ++ Washington Elementary School District (AZ) school board members who objected to student teachers provided by Arizona Christian University.

One of the board members took direct offense at the language about a “biblical lens.” Another complained about specific language describing the university’s mission as to “influence, engage, and transform the culture with truth by promoting the biblically informed values that are foundational to Western civilization.” A central complaint targeted the Christian school’s commitment to “traditional sexual morality and lifelong marriage between one man and one woman.”

Board member Tamillia Valenzuela, who described herself as “a bilingual, disabled, neurodivergent Queer Black Latina,” responded: “At some point we need to get real with ourselves and take a look at who we are making legal contracts with and the message that that is sending to the community because that makes me feel like I could not be safe in this school district.” Further: “That makes queer kids who are already facing attack from our lawmakers feel that they could not be safe in this community.”

Board member Kyle Clayton agreed. “I just don’t believe that belongs in schools,” he said. “I would never want my son to talk about his two dads and be shamed by a teacher who believed a certain way and is at a school that demands that they teach through their biblical lens.”

Even though Washington Elementary School District had received student teachers from ACU for the past 11 years and none of the student teachers violated school policy, the board voted unanimously to reject the contract with the school. Note that their rejection of ACU was based solely on theological grounds — a clear violation of religious liberties.

As R. Albert Mohler Jr. goes on to write, “This blatantly unconstitutional action reveals where many people are determined the society must go. Biblical Christianity must be cut off from civilized society.”

The second example is from our cousins up north across the border, where a pastor was protesting a drag queen story hour for children. Note that it is illegal for any Canadian citizen to object to the sexualization of children in the form of drag shows. Watch what Tucker Carlson says about it.

That is one of the most chilling examples of how the tables have turned on Christians that I’ve seen. First, the pastor was literally — and violently — thrown out of a meeting where he was protesting the corruption of children. The people doing the throwing weren’t cops (that I could tell). Then the pastor was arrested for causing a disturbance, for which he will undoubtedly be prosecuted.

Finally, as Tucker asks, “Where are all the professional Christians” like Tim Keller, David French and Beth Moore? I’m not sure why he cites them, other than that they’re “Christian” celebrities. In Tucker’s mind, apparently, they defend Christianity, although I’d argue that at least one of them — David French — finds common cause with the Left more often than conservative Christianity.

In addition to asking where the celebrities are, I’d ask where the local pastors are in Canada? Are they all staying quiet? What about all the Christians in Canada? Are they all staying quiet? If so, why?

Likewise, what about in our own country? Right now, Arizona Christian University is taking the issue they’re facing to court, which is only right. We can hope for a constitutional outcome, but what if we don’t? What then?

As Carl Truman recently wrote, “The time for evangelical leaders and institutions to speak is now. The moment to use the platforms we have to protect women and children has come. If J.K. Rowling has the courage to stand for the truth and to call for the protection of children and women, then so should we. Silence in the face of this evil is culpable and, make no mistake, will be noted by future generations.”

Daily Broadside | Here’s When the Church Stops Being the Church

Although the Chinese Lung Pox destroyed our economy, killed tens of thousands of businesses and allowed our overlords to let their totalitarian freak flags fly, it did come with the benefit of exposing the sexual grooming that exists in our public schools from kindergarten through high school and into college. Because the teacher’s union wanted to join the laptop class by keeping kids out of school indefinitely, parents were able to see just what their children were “learning.”

It seems like ever since the Supreme Court of the United States found a plain but oddly invisible “right” to homosexual marriage in our Constitution, the sexual deviants have come out of the woodwork to demand their appropriate recognition in society, too. Everything from non-binarys to transsexuals to homosexuals to any of seventy-eleven more “genders” are all insisting that anyone who doesn’t support them are “homophobic” or “transphobic” or “cis-normative” or some other defamatory term they fling at us Normals.

Of course, this kind of mental psychosis has been making its way into the church for some time. Now, in the Church of England, the first “gender-queer” priest has publicly stated his intention to normalize such mental confusion among children. (I use the pronoun “his” even though he apparently uses “they/them” pronouns to refer to himself. It will come as no shock that I do not use plural pronouns for a male pretending to be something he is not and will not violate traditional rules of grammar to appease him or his supporters.)

A non-binary gender-queer Anglican priest in the United Kingdom is on record claiming to use the clerical position in hopes of “normalizing” such behavior among children.

“I try to get involved in, not just in my religious work but outside it, with the local secular LGBT youth groups,” said Rev. Bingo Allison, a Church of England priest in the Diocese of Liverpool who identifies as gender-queer and uses “they/them” pronouns, according to an interview with the Liverpool Echo.

“One of the biggest things is just being a visual representation in my community and going into schools, doing assemblies and making a huge difference in normalizing it for children. When I’m wearing my collar it lets children know that is OK and that there is a place in church and the outside world for people like me,” Allison added.

Here we have an agent of the devil who has managed to infiltrate the body of Christ with the evil intention of corrupting the most innocent among us — our children. I believe Jesus warned against leading children astray.

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!” — Matthew 18:6-7

Is teaching children that it’s normal to think you’re the opposite sex or no sex at all and to mutilate your body to “affirm” your emotional confusion causing them to stumble, or nah?

Mr. Allison also claims that he had “an epiphany” at one point when he was writing an essay about Genesis 1:27.

Allison, who claims to be the first non-binary gender-queer priest in England’s established church, also claimed to have discovered a biblical basis for gender fluidity during a late-night reading of Genesis 1:27, which recounts how God created humans male and female.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them,” reads the verse, which Allison maintained expresses “maleness to femaleness” instead of men and women.

Apparently, this was his discovery that the Bible endorses gender fluidity when instead, it exposes his willful ignorance of the Hebrew language. The Liverpool article doesn’t tell us how he concluded that “the language which the bible originally used in Genesis 1:27 spoke about ‘from maleness to femaleness’ as opposed to men and women.” Any reputable commentary concludes nothing of the sort, and the Hebrew text itself distinctly says, “male and female” (זָכָ֥ר וּנְקֵבָ֖ה). All Allison says is, “I was sitting there in the middle of the night when I realised I might need to run my life upside down. It was a deepening spiritual experience, I properly felt God was guiding me into this new truth about myself.”

He had a personal interior experience that he claims was “spiritual” based on feelings and a corrupt reading of the scriptures. Is it possible that his corrupt nature led him to conclusions that aren’t supported by scripture but are supported by the culture?

Well, lookee here: how convenient for him that the Anglican Church of England is a woke, liberal institution that caters to the culture.

The Church of England in the Western world is rapidly losing members in its attempt to remain culturally relevant, according to multiple conservative Anglicans and former Anglicans who spoke to Fox News Digital.

“They’re reflecting the culture,” Andrea Williams, chief executive of the London-based nonprofit Christian Legal Centre, told Fox News Digital. “So in order to be in step with the culture, they’re looking to appease the culture instead of looking to what the Bible says and to what the church should be saying.”

Evangelical and conservative Protestants need to know their doctrine and stand against the liars and false teachers who are infiltrating the fellowship of believers.

Happy Monday! I have been having significant issues with my computer and some nuisances with my energy levels. Both conspired to throw me off my game on Thursday and Friday last week. Glad to be back at it again this week (although the computer issues remain, contributing to the energy drain, since these posts take a lot longer to complete).

One of the things I’m trying to accomplish with this blog is to identify for you not only what is going on in the moment (as it were), but also what has led up to these series of moments. When I first started paying attention to politics years ago and to the destruction of the Judeo-Christian norms in our culture, I asked anyone I thought might have an answer, “Why?! Why are they doing this?”

I hardly knew who “they” were … Democrats, liberals, mostly, was the extent of what I could see at the time. It was a long time before I recognized that so-called “liberals” had gone the way of the dodo. These were “progressives” as opposed to conservatives. But still my question remained: “Why?”

In past posts I’ve discussed the roots of cultural Marxism (series listed here) which parades itself as “progressivism,” starting with Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Karl Marx, which led to Horkheimer and the Frankfurt School and their eventual invasion of America in 1935, where they joined Columbia University. I’ve also examined the radical organizer Saul Alinsky (here and here) whose “Rules for Radicals” became the map for how to implement the progressive vision in practice. (Here’s an excellent primer by Sebastian Gorka that I linked to some time ago that will help you understand what’s happening today.)

The other day I came across an article that introduced me to Cloward-Piven, a strategy “first proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University [that place needs to be defunded, leveled and salted] sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and his wife Frances Fox Piven — both longtime members of the Democratic Socialists of America.”

In their 1966 article, Cloward and Piven charged that the ruling classes used welfare to weaken the poor; that by providing a social safety net, the rich doused the fires of rebellion. Poor people can advance only when “the rest of society is afraid of them,” Cloward told The New York Times on September 27, 1970. Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system. The authors also asserted that: (a) the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the country; (b) poor people would rise in revolt; and (c) only then would “the rest of society” accept their demands.

The key to sparking this rebellion would be to expose the inherent inadequacy of the welfare state. In this regard, Cloward-Piven’s early promoters cited radical organizer Saul Alinsky as their inspiration. “Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules,” Alinsky wrote in his 1971 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judaeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system’s failure to “live up” to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist “rule book” with a socialist one.

You can see that most of these provocateurs are all students of the same Marxist system of thought but they’re trying to implement it using a variety of techniques.

The Cloward-Piven Strategy was an example of what are commonly called Trojan Horse initiatives — mass movements whose outward purpose seems to be providing material help to the downtrodden, but whose real objective is to draft poor people into service as revolutionary foot soldiers; to mobilize poor people en masse in an effort to overwhelm government agencies with a flood of demands beyond the capacity of those agencies to meet. Cloward and Piven calculated that the flood of demands which they were recommending would break the budget, jam the bureaucratic gears into gridlock, and bring the system crashing down. Fear, turmoil, violence and economic collapse would accompany such a breakdown — providing perfect conditions for fostering radical change. That was the theory.

This was the core of the strategy: to break the system by placing too much weight on it. After they tried to sabotage the welfare system, Cloward-Piven turned their attention to mass voting, which resulted in the 1993 Motor-Voter law signed by president Clinton.

The new law eliminated many controls on voter fraud, making it easy for voters to register but difficult to determine the validity of new registrations. Under the new law, states were required to provide opportunities for voter registration to any person who showed up at a government office to renew a driver’s license or to apply for welfare or unemployment benefits. “Examiners were under orders not to ask anyone for identification or proof of citizenship,” notes Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund in his book, Stealing Elections.

Voter registration and welfare handouts are just two examples of where Cloward-Piven have been tried, but you can’t help but see the effects of their devious scheming being applied on multiple fronts today. Our immigration system is overwhelmed to the point of being virtually non-existent with millions of foreigners crossing our open border without any meaningful resistance. Our economy is being overwhelmed with borrowing as our debt reaches $31 trillion. Our energy sector is being flattened by the ban of extracting the oil under our own feet while we have to pay increasingly more to the oil cartels in the Middle East, who just voted to reduce production. Our military is being undermined by the implementation of “woke” practices, driven by the commanding officers that Barack Hussein Obama appointed during his terms in office.

Wherever you look, you see destruction. None of this is arbitrary. There are people in positions of power, behind the shriveled carcass of Joey Soft Serve, who are intentionally destabilizing and destroying our nation.

Cloward-Piven is just one more strategy being applied to that end. Hopefully knowing about it helps you understand what is behind the lunacy you see.

It’s Tuesday and I am not making up what I’m about to share with you. One of the news sources I frequent had a story yesterday about the newest initiative of Brandon’s efforts to address “racial equity.”

The Washington Free Beacon reports that,

The Biden administration is set to fund the distribution of crack pipes to drug addicts as part of its plan to advance “racial equity.”

Just pause there for a second to admire the total incoherence of that statement of fact.

You’re going to give crack pipes to drug addicts to advance “racial equity”? What, are blacks competing with whites in the world of addiction?

In what sane society does enabling drug addicts to satisfy their addiction “advance racial equity”?

In Brandon’s world, this is apparently the compassionate thing to do.

The $30 million grant program, which closed applications Monday and will begin in May, will provide funds to nonprofits and local governments to help make drug use safer for addicts. Included in the grant, which is overseen by the Department of Health and Human Services, are funds for “smoking kits/supplies.” A spokesman for the agency told the Washington Free Beacon that these kits will provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and “any illicit substance.”

HHS said the kits aim to reduce the risk of infection when smoking substances with glass pipes, which can lead to infections through cuts and sores. Applicants for the grants are prioritized if they treat a majority of “underserved communities,” including African Americans and “LGBTQ+ persons,” as established under President Joe Biden’s executive order on “advancing racial equity.”

I’m sorry, did I say the government is providing the kits? What I meant to say is that you are providing the kits. Since the government doesn’t actually produce anything of value that anyone wants to buy, they’re using the money they take from you and me to send drug reinforcement kits to drug addicts who otherwise would have to use—horrors!—glass crack pipes that lead to infections.

You see, the problem isn’t the addiction; the problem is the infections users get as a result of their self-destructive habit. We can’t have white people getting clean drug delivery products while black people get used drug delivery products! That ain’t fair!

Other equipment that qualifies for funding include syringes, vaccinations, disease screenings, condoms, and fentanyl strips.

Terrific. Instead of fighting addiction, the government has thrown in the towel and said, “if they’re going to do drugs, let’s make them comfortable.” This is entirely in keeping with the therapeutic embrace of anyone or anything that is “oppressed” by the traditional culture.

You’re a drug addict? Poor thing! What you need is compassion and understanding that your habit isn’t a bad thing. No! If drugs are your reality, well, then, the least we can do is protect you from the discomfort the results of drug use can produce. Here’s a clean crack pipe! That should put you on an equal footing with whitey.

This is the same as when the government provides clean needles to heroin addicts. “At least they aren’t getting infected by dirty needles.” It’s like filling potholes as people shuffle their way along the highway to hell. The problem isn’t the potholes; the problem is that the road goes to hell.

This is the insanity of the Left. The father of a drug addict (Joe) is enabling his son (Hunter) and other addicts to remain addicts—by keeping the unflattering results of their addiction suppressed and allowing the addiction itself to eventually kill them.

That’s the true “equity” in this program.

I hope you’re reading it because you need to be sure of Who is unchanging and True in an age of deceit, betrayal and threats to the safety and freedom we’ve taken for granted in the greatest country ever founded. If you’re not sure in whom your ultimate confidence rests, let me jolt you into thinking it through.

Almost half of Democratic voters—48 percent—think the government should be able to fine or imprison individuals “who publicly question the efficacy of the existing COVID-19 vaccines on social media, television, radio, or in online or digital publications.”

This is not the most astonishing finding of a poll just released by Rasmussen. Let’s go through the relevant points: Nearly the same percentage of Democratic voters—47 percent—think the government should be able to put a tracking system, like an ankle monitor or a locked collar, on people who refuse the vaccine. And 45 percent favor putting the unvaccinated in camps. Camps.

More than half of Democratic voters—55 percent—think people who refuse the vaccine should be fined. Fifty-nine percent favor confining all unvaccinated people to their homes. More than a quarter of Democratic voters—29 percent—think that the government should be able to confiscate the children of unvaccinated parents . . .

Is any of this Nazi enough for you yet? You are living next door to the people who would have turned you over to the Comité de salut public for opposing the “Law of Suspects”—the law that authorized the arrest of all suspected enemies of the Revolution and ushered in the Reign of Terror. You are living next door to the people who would have turned you over to the NKVD for “moral sabotage of the Soviet Union.” You are living next door to the people who would have called up the Gestapo and said, “My neighbor is hiding a Jew.”

Examine these historical personages from Revolutionary France or Soviet Russia or Nazi Germany (or Nazi France): It’s not just that they were following orders. On the contrary, they thought they were doing a positive good for society. They were eager to help rid their community of dangerous elements. They were proud of what they did.

Some of your Democratic neighbors will likewise be proud to lock you up, put a tracking collar on your neck, take away your children—all for the public good. These are people who would murder you for the public good. 

This is the poisonous rot that has leeched into our culture over the last few decades. And, lest you think that the government is just rattling their sabers without intent to use them, The US Army is set to conduct a “guerrilla warfare exercise” later this month in North Carolina where troops will battle against “freedom fighters.”

The two week “unconventional warfare exercise” will take from Jan. 22-Feb. 4 on privately owned land in a remote location which remains unknown.

“Called Robin Sage, the exercise serves as a final test for Special Forces Qualification Course training and it places candidates in a politically unstable country known as Pineland,” reports the Charlotte Observer.

“These military members act as realistic opposing forces and guerrilla freedom fighters, also known as Pineland resistance movement,” said the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center.

Maybe they’re just practicing for when they help Ukraine defend itself against Russia?

As Chris Menahan notes, a similar Robin Sage exercise in 2019 showed resistance fighters displaying a flag that says “liberty.”

“They could tell these soldiers they’re battling the Chinese, Russians, Iranians, North Koreans or other foreign enemies but instead they have them training to kill “freedom fighters” with “Liberty” flags,” writes Menahan.

The exercise will do little to dampen concerns that the Biden administration is launching a de facto ‘domestic war on terror’ targeting patriots and Trump supporters.

Oh.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of any good reason for our troops to be war-gaming a battle against us. I mean, besides BLM and Antifa, but they don’t wave the “Liberty” flag. On the other hand, Paul Eaton, a retired U.S. general and a senior advisor to the far-Left VoteVets, has reasons:

Eaton told NPR that military leaders needed to “war-game the possibility of a problem and what we are going to do” while warning that the United States is “compromised… as far as 39% of the Republican Party refusing to accept President Biden as president.” He suggested that a scenario in which the military is “compromised” needs to be “addressed in a future war game held well in advance of 2024.”

Remember when we held war games to fight our enemies rather than to purge our own people?

Eaton, a Hillary Clinton adviser, isn’t however worried about the 33% of Clinton supporters who claimed that Trump was not the legitimate winner right after the election, or the 56% of Democrats who viewed him as illegitimate a year later. Polls actually show that much higher numbers thought that Bush and Trump were illegitimately elected than the number that thought Obama and Biden were illegitimately elected. Should the military be purging Dems or holding “war games” to determine what will happen if Democrats try to live out their coup fantasies?

Hey, how come it’s only conservatives and Republicans that need to be purged?

Notice, too, that Eaton isn’t addressing an uprising with rioting and burning and looting and murder. He’s talking about 39% of Republicans who merely don’t believe Biden was legitimately elected. But that kind of thinking is now a threat that apparently needs to be addressed.

Are you awake? Don’t make the mistake of smugly dismissing all of this because “it can’t happen here.” It is happening here, right before our eyes.

Listen to Brandon and our current or “retired” military leaders when they talk about “domestic terrorists.” Pay attention when your military prepares to battle “freedom fighters.” We need to take them seriously because they’re telegraphing their intent. And you and I are the targets.

It’s mid-week as we grind on, one day at a time, toward the mid-term elections in November. Funny how when your guy is in office there isn’t enough time to get done everything you want, but when the other guy is in office time slows to a crawl and you can’t wait until his term ends.

January 2025 can’t come soon enough. However, Brandon is “in charge” for the next three years, so we still have plenty of work to do in opposing his and his Marxist stooges’ agenda to overthrow what little remains of the American experiment in self-governance. If they have their way, we’ll be little more than a third-world stinkhole, atop which they sit with the riches they’ve accumulated unto themselves.

I have some hope, as I wrote yesterday, that national sentiment is turning against Joey Sugar Cone and he’ll be hampered (legally) by a Republican majority House and Senate. If you want to troll the Left, suggest that the way that will happen is that Trump will be elected as a Rep. from his district in Florida, he’ll become Speaker of the House, which will then impeach Biden and Harris, removing them from office and leaving Trump to complete Brandon’s term since it was stolen from him anyway, and then Trump will run for another full term as president.

That won’t happen, but can you imagine the hysterics and complete meltdown of the Left if Trump was president for 11 years? I LOL very hard at the thought.

Still, one has to be heartened by the cratering approval ratings of the stuffed sock-puppet we know as the Resident.

Biden’s approval rating has suffered a similar decline, from 56 percent in the days following his inauguration to just 42 percent in recent weeks, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average. A Quinnipiac poll published last week measured Biden’s approval rating at just 33 percent, which matched the polling firm’s lowest recorded approval rating for former president Donald Trump in the days after the storming of the Capitol building in January 2021.

Eighty. One. Million. Votes. Either the election was rigged or we’re seeing the greatest case of buyer’s remorse ever recorded in American history. Maybe both.

Put the nose-diving approval rating (could it go even lower?) together with the great evaporation of Democrat leaning independents, add the number of current Democrats who are bailing out ahead of the midterms—29, with only 18 Republicans not seeking reelection—and you’ve got the makings of a major blowout come November. While not getting cocky, this is good news if for no other reason than it can restrain the damage that the criminal enterprise known as the Democrat Party can do to the nation over the remainder of Brandon’s term.

Cultural Marxists have infiltrated and taken over nearly every facet of America that counts: education, politics, arts and entertainment, media, journalism, medicine, law, even certain quarters of the church. They may encounter resistance, but they are determined and indefatigable, always pressing forward, never retreating, never giving in, never giving up. They cannot be appeased, persuaded or bargained with. If they lose, they will come back at it again and again. They will never stop until they are in complete control or they are dead.

People need to wake up to the fact that we’re in a fight we didn’t choose, but it falls to us nonetheless. Winning the House and the Senate in November will help.
