I’ve said it many times before on this blog, but illegal aliens from third-world countries being allowed to invade ours is one of the most loathsome acts of treachery the men and women who hold power in this nation have ever committed. It’s criminal, it’s an act of sabotage, it’s wrecking our country and both parties are responsible for it.

Our “immigration” “system” favors anyone who manages to get across our border and declares that they want asylum — once they do so, they are given a court date and released under their own recognizance. What’s a reasonable amount of time for someone to wait for a court date, do you think? Three months? Six months? Twelve? Maybe 18 months at the outside? If that’s what you think, you’d be wrong.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — Migrants processed into the US as asylum seekers are being given immigration court dates more than a decade away.

In Brownsville, migrants who arrived in the US Thursday showed The Post their paperwork with designated court dates set as late as 2032 and 2035 in Chicago and Florida.

Now they have been admitted to the county and given a court date, the migrants can receive a work permit and legally live and work in the US until their case comes up.

Others who had immigration court hearings set for August 2023 in a Maryland immigration court and March 2027 at a Dallas immigration court.

Two people heading to New York City had dates listed for 2025.

Backlogs at immigration courts currently stand at 2.1 million cases waiting to be heard.

There are around 600 immigration court judges deciding asylum cases, and in the last financial year, they closed approximately 312,000 cases.

It’s not just that it could be 12 months, but it could be 12 years until your request for asylum comes up before a judge. In the meantime, you’re allowed to legally live and work here until your case is called. And, if you have a child with your girlfriend while you’re waiting, guess what? You now have an “anchor baby” who automatically gains citizenship because mom was present in the U.S. That means the authorities are less likely to deport you. Think I’m kidding?

Yes, it’s true most of those folks are officially claiming asylum but that’s a 7-year process for most of them. By the time a judge tells them to leave, they’ll have American children and they’ll never be asked to leave unless they commit a serious crime. So the word is out and now the migrants who’ve been dodging Title 42 have heard that’s ending as well. So expect some new records of border crossings over the coming week that make this week’s records look tame by comparison.

This is ludicrous. All a foreigner has to do is jump the border, claim asylum, and start working and collecting welfare checks while having a family here. No vetting, no process, no oath of citizenship, just living la vida loca.

In what other sovereign nation does this happen? There isn’t another country where I could walk across the border and simply settle down, get a job and raise a family without being arrested, jailed, fined and deported. A year ago I wrote of the punishments some countries mete out to trespassers.

Why do aliens target America? Well, besides being the freest and richest country in the world, there aren’t any consequences for entering illegally. In this report, we learn that crossing the border illegally in Singapore is punishable by six months in prison and three strokes with a cane. In Russia, you can get two years in a prison labor camp. In Pakistan, trespassers can get up to 10 years in prison, while India allows for up to eight years behind bars.

The U.S.? Illegal entry in the U.S. is a misdemeanor, with a maximum of six months in jail.

Guess how many “migrants” are waiting to rush across the border just as soon as Title 42 ends?

The scope of this disaster really is amazing. With Title 42 set to end Thursday the everyone from border state governors to blue city mayors is getting ready for a new influx of migrants. There may not be a long wait because more than a hundred thousand people are already camped out on the Mexican side of the border waiting for the right moment.

The federal government estimates more than 150,000 migrants were waiting in shelters and on the streets of northern Mexican states bordering the US this weekend, a source familiar with the estimates told CNN.

That includes 60,000 migrants in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, 35,000 in the state of Tamaulipas and 25,000 in the state of Coahuila, among others, the source said Monday, adding the government estimates hundreds of thousands of migrants were in the “pipeline” in southern Mexico and Central American countries.

So 150,000 people on the doorstep and maybe more than that on the way. Shelters in Tijuana are overflowing. The director of migrants affairs said a “humanitarian crisis” is near.

By the time you read this, Title 42 will have expired. Here’s the very latest:

After days of panic, with thousands of migrants crossing over the southern border in a last-minute attempt to claim asylum before the rules changed, Title 42 has ended.

In the final hours before the pandemic-era measure expired, forces along the border fortified their posts with barbed wire, concrete barriers and heavily armed teams patrolling their front lines.

Agents in tactical gear also performed rehearsals for how to deal with rioters or mobs, should migrants attempt to descend en masse across the border.

Federal agents also remain on standby in case of riots, sources told The Post.

But after Title 42 ended at midnight, border crossings in Texas and California remained quiet — with migrants remaining on the Mexican side of the border awaiting to be processed.

Despite Customs and Border Patrol apprehending over 10,000 people daily this week, there were an estimated 155,000 people still waiting in north Mexico with the intention of making it into the US, according to CNN.

Texas officials had warned of up to 13,000 people a day attempting to make it into the US after Title 42 ended.

Asylum seekers will now be processed under the earlier Title 8 measure instead.

This is no way to run a country. The reason for the invasion being allowed by Democrats and cheered by their media lapdogs is that foreigners primarily vote Democrat, somewhere on the order of 8-2. What the criminal Democrat party is doing is adding new voters on top of the 50 percent of Americans who already vote Democrat to create a super majority. That’s all this is — a way to keep themselves in power. They are disenfranchising the entire country by importing a dependent class of peasants who will vote to keep the largesse coming.

Once these people are here, it’s almost impossible to reverse their presence, unlike a law like Roe v. Wade. Not only is it almost impossible to reverse, the effect of their presence keeps on growing through chain migration and anchor babies.

The only way to reverse the loss of our country, at least the country that the other half of us like, is to close the border. Once that leak is stopped, then we can determine how to clear the backlog of illegals. THEN, we need to hold our ruling class accountable. Then we need to abandon the idiocy of automatic citizenship for foreign children born to non-citizens. Then we need to stop chain migration.

But it’s not going to happen. Instead of organic growth, receiving and releasing this many people into the U.S. this fast will change the demographics of the country, and not for the better — unless you’re a progressive politician or business.

It’s no secret that the junta currently in power has basically erased our southern border. In fact, a U.S. judge just blocked Brandon and his minions from continuing his “catch and release” formula of enforcement.

U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell in Pensacola blocked the administration from continuing to implement a 2021 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo that had authorized “alternatives to detention” to ease overcrowding in detention facilities. These alternatives included ankle bracelets, phone monitoring or check-ins by immigration officers. Republican critics have called the policy “catch and release.”

Wetherell, appointed by Republican former President Donald Trump, said federal immigration authorities lack the power to implement those alternatives on a widespread basis under existing law. The judge agreed with the argument made by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, who challenged the policy.

“Defendants have effectively turned the Southwest Border into a meaningless line in the sand and little more than a speedbump for aliens flooding into the country,” Wetherell wrote, referring to non-U.S. citizens who cross the border illegally.

It’s nice that someone other than I finally said it, although it’s not going to make much of a difference. The Democrats and their cabal hate America, hate Americans, and are only in it for the power to destroy what was once the most powerful nation in history, all in the name of “equity.”

Until we get there, we’ll just have to put up with the disdain our sovereignty, our culture and our national symbols are shown by the hordes of foreigners flooding the fruited plain.

Two suspected illegal immigrants shot and killed a bald eagle with the intention of cooking it for dinner, and the town’s sheriff whose department arrested them says federal authorities, who could keep them behind bars, won’t return his calls.

I’m sorry, did I say the disdain of foreigners? I meant the disdain of our ruling class.

The incident has left Stanton County, Neb., residents “disturbed” and “offended,” county sheriff Mike Unger told the Washington Free Beacon. And as of right now, the two suspects are allowed to roam the country freely. The two men were charged with misdemeanors, and Nebraska law dictates the pair can’t be held in jail before their March 28 trial.

“The country.”

Right. We have two foreign nationals who have no permanent address, apparently no money, who don’t speak English and who brought a gun with them (later identified as an air rifle) to use in hunting dinner for themselves like the peasants in the third-world hellhole they come from, driving around “the country.”

“Freely.”

The murder of the once-endangered bald eagle, the national bird of the United States, occurred on Feb. 28 after Stanton County police officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle outside of the Wood Duck State Wildlife Management. Officers at the scene discovered two Honduran nationals carrying the dead bird. They spoke no English and carried no form of identification other than documents from the Honduran consulate, Unger said.

Another report said they “cut off the bird’s feet, intending to ‘make the talons into ornaments.'” But don’t you be “disturbed” or “offended” just because two foreign men who are here illegally are riding around the country shooting the national symbol of American might and power for dinner and for making dope jewelry.

Killing a bald eagle is a violation of the 1940 Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, a federal law that carries a punishment of up to one year in prison. Federal authorities must bring those charges—in this case the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. But Unger says he’s reached out repeatedly to the agency and has gotten only silence. A spokeswoman for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service did not respond to a request for comment …

There is precedent for federal charges to be brought against bald eagle murderers. In June, a 79-year-old Tuscarawas County, Ohio, man pleaded guilty to killing a bald eagle while hunting groundhogs on his property. The man was forced to pay a $10,000 fine to the court and another $10,000 in restitution to the Fish and Wildlife Service. He was also barred from hunting for five years.

And in 2017 the feds brought charges against a 62-year-old Virginia man for shooting and killing a bald eagle. The man also ran over the bird with his all-terrain vehicle and said he was “upset it had been hunting and taking fish from a pond located on his property.”  The man was sentenced to a month of house arrest and 100 hours of community service along with fines totaling $2,000.

It’s okay for a foreigner to violate our sovereignty and even kill a member of our national bird, but don’t try it if you’re an American citizen!

This illegitimate administration allows progressive anarchists to burn down our cities, pull down our statues and incite racial animosity while allowing millions of foreigners to simply walk into our country and do whatever the hell they want.

This kind of deliberate sabotage of American culture and history is irreversible.

You may think I’m trafficking in hyperbole when I say, as I did yesterday, that we’re no longer about to drive off a cliff, but that we have in fact driven off of it and are hurtling in freefall toward the canyon floor. It’s now just a matter of time and how hard the impact will be—and whether anyone who remembers how it used to be survives.

Friday and sincere condolences to our cousins in the UK on the passing of her majesty, Queen Elizabeth. It’s a remarkable loss given that she was the longest reigning monarch in British history at 70 years (1952-1922), and the second-longest in world history behind only French King Louis XIV, who ruled for 72 years (1643–1715).

Entire generations of Brits have grown up knowing only Queen Elizabeth as the head of British royalty. Heck, even I’ve only known Queen Elizabeth during my lifetime. I once spent a year in London during my college days and saw her in a motorcade passing by while the crowd cheered and waved. I consider myself fortunate to have lived during her remarkable reign.

I understand that she was a woman of strong faith. Franklin Graham, Billy Graham’s son, said, “Queen Elizabeth once said, ‘I draw strength from the message of hope in the Christian gospel'” and that, “she was a true friend of the Christian faith.”

I hope that’s true. May she rest in peace.

In other news, from the category of “I can’t even,” there’s this gem: DC Mayor Muriel Bowser declares emergency over migrant buses from Texas, Arizona.

Bowser’s emergency declaration will set aside funding to accommodate migrants as well as create the Office of Migrant Services. The OMS will be tasked with providing temporary accommodations, urgent medical needs, transportation” and other services for migrants.

“We’re putting in place a framework that would allow us to have a coordinated response with our partners,” Bowser said Thursday. “This will include a program to meet all buses, and given that most people will move on, our primary focus is to make sure we have a humane, efficient, welcome process that will allow people to move on to their final destination.”

“Regardless of the federal response — which I think has been lacking in some respects — that the District of Columbia would continue to work with partners to advance what we need and ensure our systems in D.C. are not broken by a crisis that is certainly not of our making,” Bowser added.

Oh, it’s a crisis? You’re going to move people “on to their final destination”? You mean you’re not going to keep them there? You’re not going to shower them with free education, medical care and put them up in the best hotels? You’re instead going to pass them on to some other fair city?

If I was a red state city complaining like Bowser, I’d be called racist, xenophobic, intolerant and a hater of brown people.

You know how many illegal aliens have been bussed to Washington, D.C. so far? About 9,400. You know how many illegal aliens have been caught crossing the border since Angry Hitler was installed as Resident? 5 MILLION. (Graphic linked to article at dailymail.com.)

That’s basically dumping the whole country of Ireland into the U.S. if they were Latino and spoke some language other than English. Which, if you’ve ever heard the Irish brogue, sometimes sounds like a foreign language.

Don’t forget that Bowser talked big when she thought no one was going to call her on it.

Well, that’s changed now. Washington, D.C. is no longer a “sanctuary city” but a “border town.”

“In many ways, the governors of Texas and Arizona have turned us into a border town. We don’t know how long this will take to resolve. We don’t know how long they will continue bussing,” Washington DC Councilmember Brianne Nadeau said.

She doesn’t mean “border town” as a positive thing. But why? What’s wrong with being a border town? You’re the ones that wanted this. Her and the mayor’s support of open borders and refusal to cooperate with ICE has created this “crisis.”

Talk about being cluelessly woke with no sense of irony. H8ter!

It’s absolutely precious to see these anti-American morons get a taste of what red states like Texas and Arizona have been dealing with for years because of progressive Leftist policies like Brandon’s open borders policy.

It’s all part of a plan to sow chaos in the United States and dilute the cohesion of what once held us together as a society. With lawlessness becoming sanctioned by the state, I wonder how long it will be before the same state decides to declare two weeks of martial law to flatten the curve.

Tuesday and I hope you enjoyed a day off yesterday. I spent most of the afternoon trimming trees in my yard. It’s amazing how much can be culled out of trees year-after-year. I’m particularly pleased with a Fiskars 16′ extendable pole saw and pruner that I bought a couple of years ago. I thought Fiskars only made scissors—but they have a great line of yard tools!

I’ve got a couple of topics to choose from so I’m going to tackle one today and one tomorrow. Today’s is Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot’s complaints about Texas governor Greg Abbott busing illegal aliens to the city of Chicago, which Lightfoot claims is a “sanctuary city.”

Abbott has been busing illegal aliens to Washington, D.C., New York City and now, to Chicago, since Brandon is deliberately not guarding our borders or upholding established law concerning immigration in the United States. This is an impeachable offense, but we will never see him charged by impeachment-happy Malignancy Pelosi, who is a cancer on the body politic as much as Chuck “The Whirlwind” Schumer and Adam Schiff-for-Brains. These people will go down in American history as some of the most loathsome and evil national home wreckers to ever bear the title of Representative or Senator.

But I digress.

About a week ago the first illegal aliens arrived in Chicago from Texas. (Note that I am using the appropriate terminology, “illegal aliens,” which was A-OK up until about a minute ago when all the wokesters began complaining that “nobody is illegal.” Don’t let them shame you into not using that term. That’s what people who cross our borders illegally are: illegal aliens. They’re alien to our country and they’re here illegally.)

Here’s what Lightfoot had to say about the arrivals initially:

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has slammed Texas Governor Greg Abbott as ‘racist’ after he announced he would be bussing illegal migrants to the city.

Lightfoot, a Democrat, attacked the GOP governor despite repeatedly bragging that Chicago is a ‘sanctuary city’, as it witnessed the arrival of 60 people on Wednesday, August 30.

She said: ‘Chicago is a welcoming city and as such has collaborated across various departments and agencies to ensure we greeted them with dignity and respect …

‘Unfortunately, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is without and [sic] shame or humanity. But ever since he put these racist practices of expulsion in place, we have been working with our community partners to ready the city to receive these individuals.’ 

“Racist practices of expulsion.” Ah yes—see peasant, you shouldn’t be kicking illegal aliens out of your state; you should be keeping them there and greeting them “with dignity and respect.”

Funny that it’s somehow “racist” that people who invade our country illegally are greeted with a cross-country ticket to one of the world class American cities. Doesn’t sound too “racist” to me.

Here’s what Abbott said about it:

Abbott says he wants to give those Democrat-run cities a taste of what lax border policies are doing to towns in the Lone Star State …

He also called out Lightfoot, saying: ‘President Biden’s inaction at our southern border continues putting the lives of Texans-and Americans-at risk and is overwhelming our communities.

‘To continue to provide much-needed relief to our small, overrun border towns, Chicago will join fellow sanctuary cities…as an additional drop off location.

‘Mayor Lightfoot loves to tout the responsibility of her city to welcome all regardless of legal status, and I look forward to seeing this responsibility in action as these migrants receive resources from a sanctuary city with the capacity to serve them.’

Nobody is giving me tickets for New York or Washington, D.C. Maybe I should fly to Mexico and traipse across the border. Then I could get a free ride to D.C.

Not that I’d want to go there.

But I want to focus on what Lightfoot said on Sunday about Abbott after another 50 illegal aliens landed in Chicago from Texas.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot cast doubt on Gov. Greg Abbott’s Christian faith in remarks denouncing the Texas Republican busing migrants from the southern border up to the Windy City. 

“He professes to be a Christian,” Lightfoot said at a press conference on Sunday. “This is not the Christianity and the teachings of the Bible that I know. And I think religious leaders all across the country are standing up and denouncing exactly this.”

One has to wonder what “Christianity and the teachings of the Bible” she’s referring to. I watched her press conference so that you didn’t have to, and she doesn’t offer any more explanation than that. The mayor is a cohabitating lesbian, so her understanding of “Christianity and the teachings of the Bible” are sort of suspect to begin with.

But I think we can surmise what her thinking is. It’s very progressive and she gives clues in her remarks about Gov. Abbott. She has said:

“We know that racism, discrimination, and human cruelty have played a pivotal role in how immigrants are received within our borders, and we are still working to recover from the previous presidential administration, which encouraged this behavior,” the mayor’s office said of former President Donald Trump.

“This is such an important moment for Chicago as a city has been a sanctuary for thousands of newcomers. We are welcoming them and we will not turn our backs on those who need our help the most.”

Also: At a news conference Thursday, Lightfoot called Abbott’s approach “racist and xenophobic” and said it added to the immigrants’ challenges. 

We can infer that 1). Lightfoot thinks that Abbott’s policy is “racist” and that 2). she believes Abbott is “turning his back” on the illegal immigrants. This means that she thinks Abbott should keep the illegal immigrants there and give them help.

I’m sorry, but these are border jumpers who have illegally crossed into the United States. The proper thing to do is give them a sammich and send them back across the border because they and the nearly 5 million others who have crossed our border since Brandon became Resident has created a lawless situation.

“She said: ‘Chicago is a welcoming city and as such has collaborated across various departments and agencies to ensure we greeted them with dignity and respect.'”

More: “I think it’s decidedly unpatriotic and un-American,” she said. “I understand the pressures that the people of Texas and some of the other border states are under. We see that on a daily basis. But the thing to do is not this. This is creating a human crisis. And treating people without dignity, without respect, it’s not who we are as Americans.”

She believes Abbott is treating illegal immigrants without dignity or respect. Apparently, giving illegal aliens free transportation to a world class city that has repeatedly said they welcome illegal aliens is not treating them with enough dignity or respect.

And:

‘My frustration comes from the actions of the governor of Texas,’ she said at a press conference. She added that while she welcomes new residents, she takes issue with Abbott bussing migrants to her city – calling the policy inhumane.

‘There could be a level of coordination and cooperation, but he chooses to do none of those things. Instead, he chooses to send human beings across the country to an uncertain destination,’ Lightfoot asserted, ‘That’s unacceptable.’

Again, she declared: ‘He is manufacturing a human crisis, and it makes no sense to me.’

So illegal aliens, who didn’t get permission to enter our country, are being sent to “an uncertain destination.” Apparently, that’s a bad thing, since these illegal aliens weren’t certain where they were going to end up when they entered the United States and we don’t owe them anything. Is she suggesting that we should take their order and get them sent to wherever they want to go?

Here’s the answer to this inane question. When illegal aliens cross our border, they are subject to our laws. OUR LEADERS ARE SUPPOSED TO ENFORCE THE DULY ESTABLISHED LAWS. It’s not Abbott “manufacturing a human crisis,” it’s Brandon.

Lightfoot complains that Abbott isn’t coordinating or cooperating with her. Hey, Lori, what “level of coordination and cooperation” is Brandon choosing to do with Abbott and the leaders of the other border states?

God puts leaders and governors in a position of power for the benefit of the people they lead. They are to lead with righteousness, integrity and for the good of the people in the nation they lead. When they cease to do that, they are no longer fit to lead or to be in a position of power.

That’s what the Bible says, mayor Lightfoot.

Friday and for those of you who are reading through the Bible with me this year, we’re more than halfway through our third quarter of reading. By weekend’s end we’ll be through Lamentations, starting Ezekiel on Monday. After that, it’s Daniel and the minor prophets and we’re done with the Old Testament. We start the New Testament on October 3. For those of you who haven’t been reading along, think about joining us for the last quarter of the year and read the New Testament with us.

In addition to ruining the economy, running up mountains of debt, crushing the middle class, and harassing the Great Orange MenaceTM, let’s not forget that Brandon’s also burdening us with millions of illegals who make their way across our border unencumbered by any pretense of difficulty.

Nearly 5 million illegal immigrants have crossed U.S. borders in the 18 months since President Joe Biden took office, according to a new report.

A total of 4.9 million illegal aliens, including some 900,000 “gotaways” who evaded apprehension and have since disappeared into American communities, have entered the country by the end of July, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) said in a statement on Aug. 16.

“Roughly the equivalent of the entire population of Ireland has illegally entered the United States in the 18 months President Biden has been in office, with many being released into American communities,” FAIR President Dan Stein said in the press release.

Huh. Where do you suppose those NINE HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE are now? We know some of them have been shipped off from Texas to Washington, D.C. and New York City, where the mayors are griping about having to deal with the lawbreakers.

Two million illegal aliens have entered the country in the first 10 months of this financial year, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). In June, more than 207,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.–Mexico border, making this the highest number of June apprehensions in history.

Brandon’s setting new records all the time as he lays waste to what was once a uniquely American culture. We now have somewhere between 22 and 40 million illegals living among us who have become an unwelcome and unwanted drain on our economy, our medical system and our educational system.

I’ve addressed this issue many times before. Here’s a few paragraphs from a story by Jordan Boyd, from a post back in April:

“We’re getting to a tipping point,” Scott said. “This many people being released into the U.S. this fast is going to change the demographics of U.S. cities because nothing stays at the borders.”

This is a cause for concern for many states struggling with the criminal effects of an open border, not just states that sit close to Mexico. As Morgan noted in our conversation, “the overwhelming majority of illegal migrants do not stay in the border towns and states.”

“What happens and what comes through our borders does not stay there. The border cities and states there, they receive the additional brunt of it, but they’re just the throughput,” Morgan explained. “And it doesn’t matter what the danger is whether that’s an invasion of illegal migrant, or drugs or gang members or criminal migrant, or a threat to our national security vulnerability, the border towns and states are the throughput but they’re making their way to every town, city, and state.”

When illegal border-crossers are released without significant repercussions and without being forced to report to an immigration facility, it endangers the entire nation. In 2021, approximately 47,000 migrants were released into the United States because of Biden’s policies but did not report to ICE on time or at all, as they were required to do.

I’ve been calling this problem an “invasion” for a few years because there really isn’t another word for it. Now, even professional publications, like Issues & Insights, are using the same language.

No Matter How Many Times Biden Denies It, The U.S. Is Being Invaded

A new poll finds that more than half of Americans think the U.S. is being invaded by illegal aliens flooding into the country. And they are right, no matter what President Joe Biden claims, or how diligently the mainstream press tries to cover it up.

“More than half (54%) of Americans think it’s at least somewhat true that we’re experiencing an invasion at the southern border,” according to the NPR/Ipsos poll.

That is a shocking finding, given the denials from the administration that there is a crisis at all, and the fact that the mainstream media will cover anything but the flood of illegal immigrants under Biden.

Of course, Brandon denies that there is any such “invasion” and is triggered by the use of such words. The numbers tell a different story.

The chart below shows illegal crossings each month under Biden and compares that with the monthly average from 2012-2020. It also provides a sampling of what Biden and Co. were saying about this crisis at the time.

If this isn’t an invasion, what is?

The administration hates American citizens and is seeking to degrade our strength and uniqueness as a country as part of the Great Reset. They are putting enormous pressure on our culture, our economy and our standing in the world. They’re not stupid. This is all intentional.

And they’re doing their best to complete as much wreckage as possible before they potentially lose power in the midterms come November.

It’s galling, maddening, outrageous.

It’s Monday and occasionally I hear a weekend message at my church that provokes some thought and I work through it here. That happened this weekend with the fifth in a series called “Kingdom Over Politics.” Over the past five weeks we’ve covered Civility, Sexuality, Life, Racial Justice, and yesterday, Immigration.

The series has been very well done. Apart from “civility,” which was about how we speak to and listen to each other, our lead pastor said that, generally speaking, sexuality and life are thought of as “red” political issues in our society, while racial justice and immigration are considered “blue” political issues. His overarching point is that they are neither “red” nor “blue” issues, but biblical issues. As believers, we need to start not with our political point of view, but with what the scriptures say about each issue.

I not only agree with that but would argue that starting with what the scriptures say about anything is the right place to start.

However.

We had guest speaker yesterday who led off with what I think is one of the most irresponsibly used arguments in support of welcoming the refugee, the legal immigrant, or the illegal alien. In its simplest form, it’s “Jesus was a refugee.”

The reference, of course, is to when Joseph and Mary fled with Jesus to Egypt while king Herod was committing infanticide in an effort to kill the child who would one day become the King of kings.

There was a real threat to the life of the child, Jesus. They had to escape, and they did, to Egypt.

The argument then, is that because Jesus was a refugee, we must welcome the refugee into our country.

The kind of arguments I hear that use this passage come from a variety of sources, including one of my former professors at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Scot McKnight.

In this post, McKnight reflects on M. Daniel Carroll R.’s take on Jesus in his book, The Bible and Borders: Hearing God’s Word on Immigration. McKnight’s summary of Carroll’s writing is typical of Christian progressives who advocate for taking in and caring for foreigners, legal or not.

Call it what you want, but the holy family’s experience is one of flight, hiding, refuge and seeking asylum in a foreign country where they could be surrounded by and welcomed by fellow Jews. Only after it was safe did they return, and even then they went to Nazareth to escape the eyes of the powerful.

Here we find elements to consider for immigration. If Jesus was an immigrant, I wonder to myself, are we not to see Jesus in all those seeking asylum in the USA?

Well, first of all, I don’t call it “seeking asylum in a foreign country.” More on that below.

As with others who use this argument, his conclusions are limited by what I think is a superficial inference in an otherwise multi-dimensional story that has nothing to do with immigration.

It’s clear what he’s focusing on: Jesus as an immigrant. From that he extrapolates seeing “Jesus in all those seeking asylum in the USA.”

I reject his premise outright.

To be clear, I do not reject seeing Jesus in another person, citizen or foreigner. None of us has ever locked eyes with anyone who didn’t matter to God or to Jesus. As Matthew also makes clear (chapter 25), when we minister to the marginalized, we minister to Jesus: “‘I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'”

Having said that, there are at least five reasons why I reject McKnight’s — and our guest speaker’s — reasoning.

This event was uniquely about Jesus. Jesus was the target, not Joseph and Mary. “Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” Jesus was the only person being sought by the authorities in an ill-advised attempt to snuff out his life before it really got started.

It’s true that Joseph and Mary might have been in danger as collateral damage, since Herod’s soldiers had their orders and wouldn’t let a mother’s or father’s attempts to resist stop them. They also didn’t let boys who weren’t Jesus stand in their way. That’s why this event is referred to as the Massacre of the Innocents.

Please note that God did not tell the other families with two-year-old boys to flee to Egypt. Why not? Didn’t they suffer a horrific loss because of Herod’s wickedness?

The reason is that this moment was specific to who Jesus was — the Son of God — and what he came here to do. It was a limited action by Herod, with a specific goal — to eliminate one toddler who threatened his power.

Divine revelation was involved. Jesus was taken to Egypt by his parents because his father received a special revelation from God, telling him what Herod was going to do. Joseph did not know that Jesus would be targeted. He did not, of his own accord, decide to flee Bethlehem for Egypt because he was being oppressed or persecuted.

But those who advocate for liberal immigration policies move from the one specialized case of Jesus to justify the millions of refugees, immigrants and illegal aliens pouring into our nation. We’re talking about one family of three people. There was no mass exodus of Jewish people to Egypt when they fled. The idea that there is any parallel to our modern-day illegal immigration or refugee crisis, especially in the U.S., is completely unfounded.

Egypt was part of the Roman empire. The idea of Jesus fleeing to another country as a parallel to what we’re experiencing today also doesn’t hold up under scrutiny. While Egypt was a different country, Jesus and his family never left the Roman empire. Egypt was under Roman rule, just as Israel was.

As near an analogy I can make is if someone in Ohio fled to Indiana to escape a stalker. While it’s true they crossed a border, we wouldn’t consider them a refugee because they never left the United States. Similarly, it’s possible (but unprovable) that the family wound up in Alexandria, Egypt, which had a large Jewish community at the time.

Jesus returned to Israel. I reject the use of Jesus’ journey to Egypt to justify “welcoming the refugee” because Jesus didn’t stay in Egypt. The young family returned home to Israel. I find it curious that those who use this argument never seem to get around to that part of the story. If we’re going to use this as a case study for immigration, then we need to use all of it.

Again, we find that this event is unique to who Jesus is. God directs Joseph through another revelation to go back to Israel because “those who were trying to take the child’s life are dead.” The majority of refugees, immigrants or illegal aliens here in this country are making a great effort to stay here permanently.

The story is a proof of Jesus’ identity. We also need to consider why Matthew wrote his gospel. In the Life Application Study Bible’s introduction to his gospel we read, “Matthew wrote this Gospel to his fellow Jews to prove that Jesus is the Messiah and to explain God’s kingdom.” He seems to have been writing to a smaller Jewish-Christian community in conflict with a larger unbelieving Jewish community.

As a result, one of thematic features of the whole Gospel of Matthew is his constant referrals to prophecy in the Jewish scriptures being fulfilled in Jesus. That promise-fulfillment theme is meant to confirm the identity of Jesus to his Jewish readers, to give them confidence in whom they have put their trust, and to help those who don’t believe to reconsider their rejection of the Messiah.

Matthew makes clear why he includes this story in his gospel: “So was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘Out of Egypt I called my Son.'” The story was decidedly not included as a proof-text for policy or attitude on immigration. In fact, those who use it (as McKnight or our guest speaker did) are performing eisogesis, which simply means interpreting the bible by reading into it one’s own ideas.

Progressives use the “Jesus was a refugee” argument, based on this passage in Matthew, to advocate for anyone and everyone who comes to our country to be let in, and to accuse those who disagree as being “unChristian” or “unloving” or “denying Jesus.” You wouldn’t turn away Jesus, would you? But this passage is irresponsibly pressed into service when it comes to the debate on welcoming the refugee, the immigrant or the illegal alien.

Having said that, we are to love the foreigner, yes, no matter how they got here, no matter their immigration status, no matter their tribe, tongue or theology.

So why does this discussion matter? If we are going to use scripture to justify or advocate for a specific position on an issue, then it must be used accurately. In this case, I don’t believe it is.

It’s the end of another week and in true Friday the 13th fashion, the server on which this blog sits refused to let me schedule its publication for early this morning. So, it’s a little late today and I hope it didn’t upset your morning routine too badly. It’s never too late for another cup of coffee.

It’s also the end of another week we can check off our list as we suffer under the demented goons sitting atop our political superstructure. I’m not even trying to make sense of what they’re doing any more. These people are evil. All indications suggest they are intentionally wrecking the country, but at this point it doesn’t matter whether they’re doing it intentionally or not. It’s being done and there is precious little we can do to stop it.

The latest in a long string of offenses against the American people is our illegal junta sending baby formula to foreigners before getting it to American mothers who are rightly panicking over the shortage on store shelves.

Pallets of baby formula are being sent to holding facilities at the border amid a shortage that has seen many parents unable to find it at their local stores, according to a GOP representative.

“They are sending pallets, pallets of baby formula to the border,” Rep. Kat Cammack, R-Fla., said in a video posted to Facebook Wednesday. “Meanwhile, in our own district at home, we cannot find baby formula.”

The baby formula shortage is the result of a perfect storm of manufacturing issues, facility shut-downs, formula recalls, inflation, trade restrictions on baby formula, and a rush on stores when formula was back on shelves. But now we’re back to empty shelves and Brandon and his spokesfolk can’t tell us when supplies will be restored. Also unknown is when Abbott’s Sturgis, Michigan, plant — one of the largest producers of formula — will be back online.

Be that as it may, our government is making sure that foreigners, who are not supposed to be in this country, are getting what should rightfully go to American children first. I’ve got nothing against the children and infants of foreigners who are here illegally. It’s not their fault that their parents are taking full advantage of Brandon’s invitation to invade our country without penalty.

But people who cross into this country illegally need to be kicked out immediately and sent back to the country they came from. We’re not the world’s homeless shelter.

The SJWs will damn me for having no compassion. I have compassion, of course, but no one has the right to force a responsibility on me, or on us collectively. And that’s not even the right way to think about it—as a “responsibility.”

Flooding the country with foreigners isn’t an act of compassion. The third-world invasion facilitated by Brandon and Mayorkas is a deliberate attempt to overwhelm the system (i.e., our economy, culture, and infrastructure), so that it eventually buckles and falls in on itself.

It’s also about changing the demographics of the country so Democrats can lock out Republicans.

Ronald Brownstein, senior editor for the Atlantic, noted this year that nearly 90 percent of House congressional districts with a foreign-born population above the national average were won by Democrats. This means that every congressional district with a foreign-born population exceeding roughly 14 percent had a 90 percent chance of being controlled by Democrats and only a ten percent chance of electing a Republican.

Making the invasion about compassion frames it as a moral issue that shames those who object, and shame is a tactic that the Left uses to great effect as they tear down the country. Honestly, I don’t even think the Left is trying to obscure what they’re doing anymore. It’s an open secret.

Of course, sending “pallets and pallets” of baby formula to the border is right in line with a party who hates normal Americans and hates American babies. If they can’t kill them with abortion, they’ll kill them by starving them death.

“Screw the citizen’s kids—give our future voters the food! We need to get them depending on us right from the get-go!”

Their party motto should be “Democrats First.”

The party of Brandon is taking care of Ukraine with a $40 billion package supported by too many Republicans, and Brandon is taking care of foreigners’ children who are crossing our border with impunity. What Brandon is not doing is taking care of America’s children or solving the myriad of crises that he’s created here at home.

Prioritizing lawbreakers is all part of a plan to wreck our freedoms by the neo Marxist revolutionaries. As Victor Davis Hanson wrote yesterday in “Imagine the Unimaginable,”

The administration wanted no border. Only that way can politicized, impoverished immigrants repay left-wing undermining of the entire legal immigration system with their fealty at the ballot box.

The common denominator in all of this is ideology overruling empiricism, common sense, and pragmatism.  Ruling elites would rather be politically correct failures and unpopular than politically incorrect, successful, and popular.

Why? The Left has no confidence either in constitutional government or common sense.

So as the public pushes back, expect at the ground level more doxxing, cancel culture, deplatforming, ministries of disinformation, swarming the private homes of officials they target for bullying, and likely violent demonstrations in our streets this summer.

When revolutionaries undermine the system, earn the antipathy of the people, and face looming disaster at the polls, it is then they prove most dangerous—as we shall see over the next few months.

Monday and we’re in the last week of April 2022.

On Friday morning I wrote that we knew alleged mom killer David Bonola was from Mexico, but authorities wouldn’t divulge his immigration status. That led me to speculate that he is here illegally, even though it’s been more than 20 years since he arrived. Friday, Fox News reported exclusively that, yes indeed, Bonola is here illegally.

EXCLUSIVE – David Bonola, the handyman arrested in the grisly murder of Queens mother Orsolya Gaal, had been living in the United States in violation of immigration law when he was arrested, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News Digital on Friday.

Bonola moved to the United States from Mexico 21 years ago, police officials said Thursday. They would not comment regarding the 44-year-old’s immigration status at the time. But two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the matter told Fox News Digital that Bonola was in the country in violation of immigration law. Details of whether he entered the U.S. legally were not immediately available.

“ICE focuses its civil immigration enforcement priorities on the apprehension and removal of noncitizens who pose a threat to our national security, public safety, and border security,” an Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson said in a statement in response to Fox News Digital’s questions. Fox News Digital is further told ICE has lodged a detainer with Queens Central Booking.

For twenty years he’s been here illegally.

How many more trespassers like David are living here illegally?

Millions, with millions more being ushered in and shuttled across the country by the illegitimate junta in the White House.

I did a study on illegal immigration some years ago and found that the estimated number of foreigners residing here illegally is remarkably consistent in projections by governmental and advocacy organizations (both for and against) at about 11-12 million. But that number for certain does not reflect the true number of illegals here in the United States.

Our analysis covers the years 1990 to 2016. We develop an estimate of the number of undocumented immigrants based on parameter values that tend to underestimate undocumented immigrant inflows and overstate outflows; we also show the probability distribution for the number of undocumented immigrants based on simulating our model over parameter value ranges. Our conservative estimate is 16.7 million for 2016, nearly fifty percent higher than the most prominent current estimate of 11.3 million, which is based on survey data and thus different sources and methods. The mean estimate based on our simulation analysis is 22.1 million, essentially double the current widely accepted estimate.

And that’s just one study published four years ago using data ending six years ago. The Federation for American Immigration Reform, a reputable non-partisan, public interest organization, estimates that there are approximately 15.5 million illegal aliens residing within the United States. They attribute this “alarming increase” to “two significant developments:”

  • The improvement of the United States’ economy as the country re-opens after the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic [we’ll see how inflation affects that — do]
  • A more significant factor fueling this increase is that the Biden administration has effectively abolished the mission of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), preventing the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) from securing our southern border, and implementing measures that encourage mass illegal immigration.

For another take, best-selling author and firebrand Ann Coulter makes a case in her book that the number is closer to 30 million. First, the Census Bureau, where the initial 11-12 million number comes from, assumes illegal aliens will fill out census forms and admit their status—a faulty assumption for obvious reasons. Second, the bureau adds 10 percent to their estimate, which implies they know they are undercounting.

Third, in 2005, a pair of Bears Stearns analysts studied remittances from the U.S. to Mexico. They found that “while the number of Mexicans living in the United States was supposed to have grown by only 56 percent from 1995 to 2003, remittances from the United States to Mexico grew by almost 200 percent, even as the median weekly wage increased by just 10 percent.” They also found that during the same period, housing permits in immigrant enclaves were vastly different from official figures.

So, there are roughly somewhere between 15 and 30 million foreigners who are living here illegally. Maybe more. We don’t know how many because our immigration system has been dismantled by anti-American zealots and feckless lawmakers who love them some cheap labor.

But increasingly, illegals are not even coming here to work.

Roughly two-thirds of undocumented immigrants have lived in the United States for more than a decade, and many are the parents of U.S.-born children. Until 2013, almost all of those trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border were Mexican citizens and most were individuals seeking work; since then, Central Americans have made up an increasingly large share, reaching 81 percent [PDF] in 2019. Generally, they are coming not for work but to make asylum claims, and many of them are unaccompanied children. Some of these immigrants have different legal rights from Mexican nationals in the United States: under a 2008 anti–human trafficking law, unaccompanied minors from noncontiguous countries have a right to a hearing before being deported to their home countries. The spike in Central American migration has strained the U.S. immigration system, with more than 1.2 million cases pending in immigration courts.

Why do aliens target America? Well, besides being the freest and richest country in the world, there aren’t any consequences for entering illegally. In this report, we learn that crossing the border illegally in Singapore is punishable by six months in prison and three strokes with a cane. In Russia, you can get two years in a prison labor camp. In Pakistan, trespassers can get up to 10 years in prison, while India allows for up to eight years behind bars.

The U.S.? Illegal entry in the U.S. is a misdemeanor, with a maximum of six months in jail.

The U.S. has one of the world’s weaker laws for illegal entry, according to the data in a study by the Library of Congress, which surveyed statutes in more than 160 nations and released its findings amid a heated debate over whether America’s penalties are too stiff.

Yeah, “too stiff.” If progressive Marxists had their way, we wouldn’t have any borders so that illegals could just waltz right in.

Oh, wait. That’s exactly what we have.

We are a compassionate people, but our current immigration policies put American citizens at risk. There are thousands and thousands of documented crimes committed by squatters like Mexican national David Bonola. Remember Mollie Tibbetts? Killed by a Mexican national living here illegally. How about Kate Steinle? Killed by a Mexican national who was here illegally, who had seven felony convictions and had been deported five times previously.

These men and millions like them violate this nation’s borders with impunity and infect our communities by driving up taxes, increasing the burden on our medical and educational systems, and are never punished for their crime of unauthorized residency.

It takes a killing or a rape to get the authorities’ attention.

In this case, Bonola will likely face punishment for murder, but for Orsolya Gaal, his victim, it’s too late.

Let’s hope it’s not your wife, or daughter, or mother, or friend who’s next.

Friday and only nine days until May. This year is flying by.

Of course, it can’t go fast enough to get us to November, when we can begin to apply the brakes on our out-of-control federal government. If we’re reading the tea leaves correctly, the Democrats are in for a world of hurt. The House could get a veto-proof majority while kicking Nancy Pelosi back to her floor seat, Republicans could take over all the committees, including the January 6 fiasco, and not only could they legislate, but they could impeach both Brandon and Kamala Harris for their dereliction of duty in upholding the Constitution as they swore to do.

That is, we could see that happen if we aren’t swindled again at the polls when a toilet overflows in Atlanta and shuts down ballot counting in six other states. Even if we do overthrow the anti-American Marxists infecting our government, we still run the risk of the do-nothing GOPe, who never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. While there are fighters in the House and Senate (Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Ted Cruz, and Tom Cotton come to mind), there are still too many RINOs like Lindsey Graham-Cracker, Mittens Romney, and Lizard Cheney. Here’s hoping Cheney is in need of employment come the fall — she could probably get hired by CNN or MSNBC as a token “conservative” by which I mean a Democrat masquerading as a Republican.

You were probably as horrified as I was by the murder of Orsolya Gaal, the 51-year-old Queens woman who was repeatedly stabbed with a kitchen knife, stuffed in an oversized duffle bag on wheels, and dragged nearly a mile from her home before being left for some pedestrian to find the next morning. Turns out police have arrested David Banola, “a Queens transplant from Mexico,” who was having an affair with the married woman and was angry because she didn’t want to continue the “intimate” relationship.

It’s unfortunate that Gaal chose to be unfaithful and got herself into a compromising situation that didn’t end well. But what irritates me most is that Banola moved to the U.S. from Mexico about 21 years ago and police “would not discuss his immigration status.” I’m sure his “immigration status” will eventually be revealed, but the fact that they won’t discuss tell us whether he’s here legally or not is a sign that he’s probably here illegally.

Of course, I could be wrong. But I’d lay even money I’m not.

Mexico isn’t sending us their best, despite what all the open border zealots claim. Our country just wouldn’t be as rich and progressive without the diverse perspectives that people like David Banola bring, they insist. They’re right, you know: spontaneously slicing someone up and stuffing them in a zippered hockey bag for someone to find on a city sidewalk is unique.

Yet Brandon seems to be moving ahead with opening our southern border to thousands of more people just like David Banola: an unknown threat.

Rep. Henry Cuellar on Thursday said the [Brandon] administration told him it’s planning to use law enforcement officers from the northern U.S. to deal with a massive surge in migrants coming to the southern border when Title 42 ends.

Cuellar, D-Texas, who represents a border community and opposes many of President Biden’s border policies, also said it seems the administration seems more interested in quickly moving migrants into the country than border security.

You don’t say.

According to this report (read it all), Brandon is effectively participating in human trafficking by flying illegal border jumpers throughout the United States in the middle of the night.

If it were not for The Post, the public would not be aware of any of the Biden administration’s charter flights, which are fanning out every night, all over the country, delivering illegal migrants from the southern border to oblivious communities.

After a lull late last year, in recent weeks “the charters are back with a fury,” says a whistleblower from Avelo Airlines, one of three charter companies raking in millions of taxpayer dollars whisking migrants out of sight.

Staffers are disturbed by the secrecy of the operation, and the prospect that they are participating in a human-trafficking operation, the whistleblower says.

“The charters are not on our paperwork, not on the [air-traffic] breakdown, not on the schedule, not on the flight plan. They’re not listed anywhere.”

The journey for illegal migrants through Mexico to the US border is facilitated by people-smuggling cartels but the flights into the interior of the country, provided by the Biden administration, are simply the last leg of that human-trafficking operation.

Brandon solemnly swore to “faithfully execute the office of president of the United States and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God.”

Liar. He had no intention of doing so.

The presidency is not a solemn duty to him and his posse; it’s a means to an end. He grabbed the brass ring and the power to use executive orders to accelerate the fundamental change to the character and culture of this country.

One of the means by which he’s doing that is by not only allowing, but actively facilitating, the invasion of foreign hordes to our soil.

Did you know that,

More than 2.5 million illegal migrants have crossed into the US since Joe Biden took office. Among them were 42 people on the terror watchlist, according to CBP.

Yet when White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked about these suspected terrorists, she blew off the question, saying it was a tiny proportion of total illegal crossers.

Did you know that illegal immigration is a victimless crime?

Sorry. Sarcasm again.

Support for victims, as it turns out, is denied by these activists to one particular group: those who have lost their lives as a result of illegal alien crime, and the families who must live with the loss. In a culture that elevates and too often embellishes victimhood, these “Angel families” are victims in the purest sense, yet they have been marginalized because the circumstances of their losses are at odds with the anti-borders narrative.

The activist corporate media that claims to give voice to the voiceless would have none of this. The Los Angeles Times was appalled, calling Trump’s spotlight on Angel families “tackiness and rank opportunism.” The Wall Street Journal cited reports from left-wing nonprofits that illegal aliens commit fewer crimes than the native population. The impact of such data is dead on arrival, however, as the amount of illegal alien crime would and should be near zero if our political leaders simply enforced the current immigration laws.

In social media debates I have had with crazed Leftists, the murder and mayhem illegal aliens inflicted on American citizens was excused by comparing percentages of “American” crime to “illegal alien” crime. It was maddening, since none of the crimes illegal aliens commit would have happened here if they were kept out of the country in the first place. But such logic had no impact on the deranged minds of the open borders crowd.

Did you also know that Maine is now a southern border state?

The alien invasion across America’s porous southern border has turned every state into a border state – and every Fake News editor into an agent and a cheerleader for a foreign occupation army.

Here in Maine, 2400 miles northeast of the Texas border, we are the final destination for thousands of illegal immigrants who are being resettled here at taxpayer expense, to the applause of all the really smart people in both political parties.

It was three years ago this summer when an estimated 500 foreign nationals, most of them from central Africa, crossed the southern border in Texas and boarded buses for Portland, where they were housed at the Portland Expo while state and local officials scrambled to find permanent housing for these asylum-seeking “new Mainers.”

Over the past year, another 1,000+ non-citizen newcomers have made their way from the southern border to Portland, overwhelming the city’s homeless shelters. Many are being housed at taxpayer expense in hotels across Cumberland and York Counties. One hotel in South Portland houses more than 400 non-citizens, half of them children, many of whom are now enrolled in local public schools.

If you don’t have borders, you don’t have an ordered society.

Joe Biden, the failing fabulist who was installed as “president” on January 26, 2020 through a coup orchestrated by the media, tech oligarchs and corrupt state government officials and volunteers, is an anti-American extremist owned by China. He is everything the Left claimed Trump was, but wasn’t.

Once seated, Brandon proceeded to betray his “oath” of office and put Americans in danger and is not, in any sense of the phrase, “preserving, protecting or defending the Constitution of the United States of America.”

It’s Tuesday of Holy Week. As millions remember Jesus making his way toward the cross on that Friday some 2,000 years ago, millions more today are anxious and angry that the current administration is planning to remove the final barrier to a flood of illegal aliens surging over our southern border.

Illegal entry and squatting in the United States is one of the subjects that severely triggers me when it comes to the issues we face. I absolutely loathe our government that not only allows the current invasion of foreigners to flood our nation, but actively encourages it, nay, invites it.

It’s a crime that’s being perpetrated on us by those in power who don’t give a rat’s patootie about American citizens.

The Biden government has publicly admitted that something bad will happen at the southwest border: an estimated 12,000 to 18,000 migrant apprehensions a day (versus the record-breaking 6,000 average now), or up to 540,000 a month (170,000 a month lately), and maybe six million by the end of 2022 (compared to the nationally historic two million apprehensions at the end of 2021). A Washington Post headline craftily understated that Biden’s Department of Homeland Security was bracing for “unprecedented strains.”

No one seems to be asking why as some 540,000 illegal migrants per month will soon be jumping the borders in all the front-line states. The overlooked real reason they will come is to defraud an American asylum system that Title 42 denied them but will now be returned, more prone than ever to abuse.

Title 42 was invoked during the Trump administration as a protection against the pandemic, denying illegal aliens access to the American asylum system and immediately expelling them from the country. But now that Joe Brandon and his handlers have decided to let Title 42 expire, foreigners are gathering in Mexico like Secretariat in the starting gate at Belmont.

Clues about the true reasons for Title 42’s demise can be found throughout the communiques of pro-illegal immigration organizations. It was never that the public health crisis had passed, only about reopening full access to the American asylum system. Why?

Because as it stands, the asylum system provides a reprieve from mandatory deportation and all but guaranteed release into the United States. An apt term for this is “Remain in America.” It allows almost anyone on U.S. soil who utters “I want asylum” to a federal officer to dodge otherwise mandatory deportation and get in for years.

So foreigners are already making their way here through Mexico because once they’re in by claiming asylum, they’re as good as settled, even though they are here illegally once they blow off their hearing.

Word about the end of Title 42 has already spread among smugglers and other migrant networks. As a result, thousands upon thousands of illegal migrants will trek to the U.S. southern border in coming weeks in hopes of filing an asylum claim and getting released into the United States for years.

Under the administration’s current policies, most of the illegal crossers will get into the United States — and be allowed to remain — without significant consequences. As my colleague John Daniel Davidson wrote earlier this week: “ending Title 42 under these circumstances means every migrant who gets over the border and claims asylum will get to remain in the United States, legally and with work authorization, for years. As a matter of policy, it is effectively indistinguishable from open borders.”

Due to these concerns of a rapid migrant surge at the end of May, there’s a small chance that the federal government will halt or at least delay rescinding Title 42. Keeping it, however, won’t deter illegal migrants who have heard the news from surging to the U.S.-Mexico border.

But who cares, right? Why should we be concerned?

“We’re getting to a tipping point,” Scott said. “This many people being released into the U.S. this fast is going to change the demographics of U.S. cities because nothing stays at the borders.”

This is a cause for concern for many states struggling with the criminal effects of an open border, not just states that sit close to Mexico. As Morgan noted in our conversation, “the overwhelming majority of illegal migrants do not stay in the border towns and states.”

“What happens and what comes through our borders does not stay there. The border cities and states there, they receive the additional brunt of it, but they’re just the throughput,” Morgan explained. “And it doesn’t matter what the danger is whether that’s an invasion of illegal migrant, or drugs or gang members or criminal migrant, or a threat to our national security vulnerability, the border towns and states are the throughput but they’re making their way to every town, city, and state.”

When illegal border-crossers are released without significant repercussions and without being forced to report to an immigration facility, it endangers the entire nation. In 2021, approximately 47,000 migrants were released into the United States because of Biden’s policies but did not report to ICE on time or at all, as they were required to do.

That’s the key. We’re facing the resurgence of a foreign invasion that has been going on for years but has increased in volume from hundreds of mostly third-world countries involving millions of people. This isn’t natural, organic growth that our institutions and communities can keep pace with.

It’s like dumping an Evergreen container ship full of invasive fish like the Asian carp into the Great Lakes. Here’s how one source describes the impact invasive species have on a native ecosystem.

Invasive species are any living organism, such as plants, animals, fungi, or bacteria, that have been unnaturally introduced into an ecosystem, and would not otherwise live in it.

Invasive species can negatively impact an ecosystem’s economic, agricultural, environmental, and public health. Non-native species change the structure of entire food webs and decrease biodiversity by adding to the competition of finding food among native species.

Invasive species affect all of the plants and animals living in an ecosystem, and can also hurt fishing industries.

Tell me how that’s any different from people all over the world rushing to our southern border and into the interior. They compete for resources with the natural population, often in the form of welfare. They overwhelm our health care and educational systems, often requiring teachers to diminish their standards for kids who don’t speak English as their first language. They compete for jobs, undercutting even the lowest wages, hurting the very citizens the Democrats supposedly champion: unskilled blacks and Hispanics. Other countries send us their very worst, releasing criminals from their prisons to find their way here, where they continue their criminal patterns and become our problem—as though we don’t have enough of our own.

I know, I know. You’re all uncomfortable with me comparing “illegal immigrants” and their impact to an invasive species. Listen to me closely: I don’t care. I’m not about nuance right now. This is an invasion, an intentional corruption of the American way of life that will affect our country not just now, but irreversibly for hundreds of years to come (assuming the United States still exists then).

It’s already too late to avoid a significant impact. And if you’re more concerned about the metaphor I’m using than the issue of foreigners spilling into our land by arrangement of the cultural Marxists, your hero is David French.

When people who come from poor, totalitarian, underdeveloped cultures are transplanted en masse into a free and prosperous country where they don’t ever take an oath to their host nation and illegally live in the shadows without integrating into society and break the laws by gaming a corrupt system, they will become a drag on that society and culture. It’s inevitable.

Resident Brandon and the cabal in Washington, D.C. should all be impeached and removed from office for their dereliction of duty. All of them. But it won’t happen because those in power, both Left and Right, won’t let it happen.

But you and I and our families, and our children’s families, and their children’s families, will experience the downstream impact of these anti-American decisions from those who make them and the cowards who refuse oppose them.

It won’t be the America we grew up in.
