Wednesday, the last day of August 2022, and the craven, undistinguished figurehead installed by the illegitimate junta in January 2021 has doubled-down on his remarks about semi-fascism and is now sarcastically threatening “those brave right-wing Americans” with the full weight of the military power he commands.

Hey #NeverTrump, are our norms restored yet? Are we now unified like this low life, hair-sniffing, racist pervert promised he’d do? Or was that just a damn-the-torpedoes move on your part to Get Trump?

Biden, a confirmed plagiarizer, must be taking notes from Eric “Fang Fang” Swalwell.

There isn’t any evidence of some right-wing wave of violence being planned against the United States and “muh democracy.” Are there conservatives, Republicans and right wingers who are pissed off at the Democrats and this administration?

You bet.

But all the violence is coming from the Left, notwithstanding the January 6th debacle that was more than likely a set up. Did you know that some of those arrested in connection with the “insurrection” are now being tortured?

Hail, Amerika!

The net effect of casting the Right as something they are not is to taint any countermoves as evidence of their “extremism.” The Marxists hold power and their mouthpieces in the media dutifully parrot whatever they are given, so they’re able to assert whatever they want.

Michael Walsh is examining in a series of articles what we can do to save our republic and the constitution, “which in reality is the sole guarantor of personal freedom left in these crumbling United States, which almost certainly will not last out this century and is unlikely to make it to its 300th birthday intact.”

The easiest and most direct way to restore our American Republic (not “our democracy”) is to restore the Constitution in all of its salient particulars, including the restoration of the Ninth and Tenth amendments, a return to the notion of limited central government, the reduction of the Supreme Court to its (very constrained) core powers and duties, and the rollback of the National Security State that began with the American surrender after 9/11. We’ll be looking at the details of our Restoration in the coming weeks, what political price we might have to pay to effect it, and whether at this point it’s even worth trying.

What’s in our future? Civil War? Partition? Amicable divorce? In the meantime, let me leave you with this, from my debut novel, the controversial Exchange Alley, written after my return from Moscow in 1991 and published in 1997 but set in the period just before the end of the Soviet Union.

There is an unmistakable odor about socialist countries that pervades every public place. It is a strong animal smell, composed in equal parts of sweat and unwashed clothes, Russian cigarettes, cheap perfume, piss, disinfectant, and leaded gasoline; in the heyday of Communism, every socialist country smelled the same. But in the mother church of Marxism-Leninism, the reek was stronger, sharper, more pervasive. It was the ur-stench of the Soviet system, the stink of a dying animal and with each passing year it got stronger and more difficult for foreigners, even fellow travelers in the west, to ignore.

Smell that here at home now? I thought you might.

Even that fountain of wisdom and paragon of virtue, Ozzy Osbourne, has had enough of the United States.

“Everything’s f***ing ridiculous there,” Ozzy Osbourne said about the United States, his primary residence for decades, in an interview published on Sunday in The Observer. “I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert…It’s f***ing crazy,” he further explained in an interview with the British newspaper.

The 73-year-old heavy metal icon and Prince of Darkness currently suffers from Parkinson’s Disease and a number of other medical woes, but his wife and manager Sharon Osbourne said the decision to leave for their property Welders House in Buckinghamshire is not due to the Black Sabbath co-founder’s health. “It’s just time. America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now,” she said. The couple will finalize their move in February.

Ozzy continued, “I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f***ing Forest Lawn. I’m English. I want to be back.”

In one of his signature songs, “Crazy Train,” Osbourne—who once bit the head off a live bat during a show—sings,

Crazy, but that’s how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it’s not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate

The only way to “learn how to love and forget how to hate” is through Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:43-44), something that Ozzy doesn’t address in his lyrics. Even so, when you’ve lost the paragon of crazy because America is too crazy even for him, you know you’re in trouble.

Tuesday and it’s horrifying to realize that senior leaders in the Democrat party hate conservative Republicans and have minced no words in saying so. In just the last week, three different, powerful and nationally recognized Democrats have made statements that pull no punches on three consecutive days.

August 24
Charlie Crist, who won the Democrat nomination to oppose Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in November, accuses anyone who supports DeSantis for governor of having a hateful heart, and angrily declares that he does not want “your” vote.

Since the majority of people who will vote for DeSantis will be Republicans, he unequivocally labeled them all haters. That’s a helluva campaign strategy, because saying he doesn’t want their votes implies he doesn’t need their votes.

August 25
The next day at a Maryland fundraiser, Joe Biden denounced the more than 72 million Americans who voted for Donald J. Trump as semi-fascists.

Don’t forget that “MAGA” stands for “Make America Great Again.” Is wanting to make America great “extreme”? According to this despicable politician and the filthy liars who surround him, it is. It’s so extreme that it bleeds into fascism.

What do you do with fascists? You fight like hell to remove them as a threat.

Andrew Cuomo’s successor as New York governor isn’t any better than he was. The day after Brandon, the Great Unifier, scorched Trump supporters, Gov. Kathy Hochul said this at a campaign rally for Pat Ryan.

“I’m fighting to bring government back to the people, and out of the hands of dictators. And we’re here to say that the era of Trump, and Zeldin and Molinaro, just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong, okay? Get out of town, get out of town! Because you don’t represent our values. You are not New Yorkers. You’re not New Yorkers.”

Dictators? It wasn’t Republicans who shut down the country for two years, destroying businesses and education and handing out money we couldn’t afford. It wasn’t a Republican governor that sent Covid-infected patients to nursing homes from hospitals. It wasn’t Republicans who went on a rampage across the country causing $2 billion dollars of damage and killing at least 25 people over the death of Saint George Floyd, who was caught passing counterfeit money and was high on drugs at the time of his arrest.

If there’s any hateful, fascist, dictatorial enterprise in the United States, it’s the Democrats and their criminal party.

Friday and for those of you who are reading through the Bible with me this year, we’re more than halfway through our third quarter of reading. By weekend’s end we’ll be through Lamentations, starting Ezekiel on Monday. After that, it’s Daniel and the minor prophets and we’re done with the Old Testament. We start the New Testament on October 3. For those of you who haven’t been reading along, think about joining us for the last quarter of the year and read the New Testament with us.

In addition to ruining the economy, running up mountains of debt, crushing the middle class, and harassing the Great Orange MenaceTM, let’s not forget that Brandon’s also burdening us with millions of illegals who make their way across our border unencumbered by any pretense of difficulty.

Nearly 5 million illegal immigrants have crossed U.S. borders in the 18 months since President Joe Biden took office, according to a new report.

A total of 4.9 million illegal aliens, including some 900,000 “gotaways” who evaded apprehension and have since disappeared into American communities, have entered the country by the end of July, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) said in a statement on Aug. 16.

“Roughly the equivalent of the entire population of Ireland has illegally entered the United States in the 18 months President Biden has been in office, with many being released into American communities,” FAIR President Dan Stein said in the press release.

Huh. Where do you suppose those NINE HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE are now? We know some of them have been shipped off from Texas to Washington, D.C. and New York City, where the mayors are griping about having to deal with the lawbreakers.

Two million illegal aliens have entered the country in the first 10 months of this financial year, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). In June, more than 207,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.–Mexico border, making this the highest number of June apprehensions in history.

Brandon’s setting new records all the time as he lays waste to what was once a uniquely American culture. We now have somewhere between 22 and 40 million illegals living among us who have become an unwelcome and unwanted drain on our economy, our medical system and our educational system.

I’ve addressed this issue many times before. Here’s a few paragraphs from a story by Jordan Boyd, from a post back in April:

“We’re getting to a tipping point,” Scott said. “This many people being released into the U.S. this fast is going to change the demographics of U.S. cities because nothing stays at the borders.”

This is a cause for concern for many states struggling with the criminal effects of an open border, not just states that sit close to Mexico. As Morgan noted in our conversation, “the overwhelming majority of illegal migrants do not stay in the border towns and states.”

“What happens and what comes through our borders does not stay there. The border cities and states there, they receive the additional brunt of it, but they’re just the throughput,” Morgan explained. “And it doesn’t matter what the danger is whether that’s an invasion of illegal migrant, or drugs or gang members or criminal migrant, or a threat to our national security vulnerability, the border towns and states are the throughput but they’re making their way to every town, city, and state.”

When illegal border-crossers are released without significant repercussions and without being forced to report to an immigration facility, it endangers the entire nation. In 2021, approximately 47,000 migrants were released into the United States because of Biden’s policies but did not report to ICE on time or at all, as they were required to do.

I’ve been calling this problem an “invasion” for a few years because there really isn’t another word for it. Now, even professional publications, like Issues & Insights, are using the same language.

No Matter How Many Times Biden Denies It, The U.S. Is Being Invaded

A new poll finds that more than half of Americans think the U.S. is being invaded by illegal aliens flooding into the country. And they are right, no matter what President Joe Biden claims, or how diligently the mainstream press tries to cover it up.

“More than half (54%) of Americans think it’s at least somewhat true that we’re experiencing an invasion at the southern border,” according to the NPR/Ipsos poll.

That is a shocking finding, given the denials from the administration that there is a crisis at all, and the fact that the mainstream media will cover anything but the flood of illegal immigrants under Biden.

Of course, Brandon denies that there is any such “invasion” and is triggered by the use of such words. The numbers tell a different story.

The chart below shows illegal crossings each month under Biden and compares that with the monthly average from 2012-2020. It also provides a sampling of what Biden and Co. were saying about this crisis at the time.

If this isn’t an invasion, what is?

The administration hates American citizens and is seeking to degrade our strength and uniqueness as a country as part of the Great Reset. They are putting enormous pressure on our culture, our economy and our standing in the world. They’re not stupid. This is all intentional.

And they’re doing their best to complete as much wreckage as possible before they potentially lose power in the midterms come November.

It’s galling, maddening, outrageous.

Daily Broadside | Brandon Illegally Transfers Student Loan Debt to Those Who Didn’t Borrow It While Enriching Those Who Did

Thursday and Brandon has decreed that certain students or ex-students with outstanding loans do not have to pay them back. Loan forgiveness. It’s not that he has the power to do so; he simply declares it, and it is so. It’s like majik. POoF! Your debt is gone.

Akshully—it’s not gone. It’s just that you’re no longer responsible to pay it off. Someone else is going to pay it. Someone like your local plumber.

Better yet, just ask this union railroad worker.

But that’s not what it looks like from where I’m sitting. I’m a blue-collar worker, and when I talk to other blue collar workers about student loan forgiveness, it’s one of those subjects where no one disagrees. It gets a resounding, 100 percent “Hell no!” every time it comes up.

This isn’t because we’re anti-college. Most of the folks I work with and talk to have kids in college or have kids that graduated college. But if you ask if college students’ loans should be paid off by taxpayers, the answer is always the same: No way.

Unlike progressives, we don’t see student debt cancelation as an avenue out of poverty. We see it as a tax on those of us who chose not to go to college, who now have to pay for those who already got a big advantage in the labor market by way of their degree…

…How much of an elitist do you have to be not to give a damn about the cruelty of demanding that blue collar workers who didn’t go to college chip in and pay off student loans that they didn’t take out?

How much of an elite do you have to be to shove both middle fingers in the face of the middle class, too, and make them chip in to pay off student loans they didn’t take out? We’ve put four kids through college debt free because we worked our tails off and put some of the burden on them to contribute. We didn’t take out loans, although we could have. We did it with a combination of scholarships, saving money, and paying thousands of dollars a year.

Now the government is making us, and millions of others like us, pay back loans we didn’t take out, that we worked hard to avoid, and that aren’t our responsibility.

All so Brandon can buy votes for the mid-terms. And hand his White House staff a gift.

On the plus side, besides buying votes, cancelling some $300 billion in student loan debt will definitely help diffuse rampant inflation.

Nah, just kidding. Hey, Brandon! Why don’t you just add another third of a trillion dollars to the already over-taxed economy, along with the joke of the Inflation Reduction Act, which won’t reduce inflation and, in fact, will probably make it worse?

And, as an aside, get this: Democrats inserted in the climate change bill (that’s really what it is) a provision giving the EPA the right to control carbon dioxide, which SCOTUS just ruled it did not have the right to regulate, because Congress had not specifically given “the agency the broad authority to shift America away from burning fossil fuels.” Those [redacted]’s just re-empowered the administrative state to regulate CO2 across the country, which means onerous regulations on businesses and, of course, car manufacturers. Also, I’m told that Bradon’s action is an impeachable offense.

But as I said in the first sentence of this article, the biggest issue here is that what Biden is set to do is illegal. There is no federal provision that allows him to “forgive” student loan debt on the backs of taxpayers via the stroke of his pen. Nancy Pelosi is on record saying Biden doesn’t have that power. The Department of Education has said Biden doesn’t have that power. For the president to still attempt this move wouldn’t just be a pushing of the envelope. Rather, it would be a conscious, deliberate decision to commit an impeachable offense.

The million-dollar question then becomes what Republicans are going to do about it. Crying on social media is not enough. The coming Republican House (and possibly, Senate) must move to hold Biden accountable. That should come in the form of making the treasury account for the “canceled” debt and burning the university system to the ground via taxes and investigations. The GOP can’t stop there, though. They must impeach Joe Biden.

Psst. C’mere. Closer—like Joe Biden is gonna sniff your hair. I’ve got a secret for you.

Wednesday and the panty raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home seems to have involved the Brandon White House, even though they lied said they only heard about it through the news, a la tactiks Barack Hussein Obama.

Long before it professed no prior knowledge of the raid on Donald Trump’s estate, the Biden White House worked directly with the Justice Department and National Archives to instigate the criminal probe into alleged mishandling of documents, allowing the FBI to review evidence retrieved from Mar-a-Lago this spring and eliminating the 45th president’s claims to executive privilege, according to contemporaneous government documents reviewed by Just the News.

The memos show then-White House Deputy Counsel Jonathan Su was engaged in conversations with the FBI, DOJ and National Archives as early as April, shortly after 15 boxes of classified and other materials were voluntarily returned to the federal historical agency from Trump’s Florida home.

By May, Su conveyed to the Archives that President Joe Biden would not object to waiving his predecessor’s claims to executive privilege, a decision that opened the door for DOJ to get a grand jury to issue a subpoena compelling Trump to turn over any remaining materials he possessed from his presidency.

The machinations are summarized in several memos and emails exchanged between the various agencies in spring 2022, months before the FBI took the added unprecedented step of raiding Trump’s Florida compound with a court-issued search warrant.

Did I say that the White House lied? Why no, no I didn’t. Let me offer an update: THE WHITE HOUSE LIED—and they lied big.

Brandon and his team are ground zero in launching the criminal probe of Donald Trump that ignored two hundred years of precedent and resulted in a denial of executive privilege and the home invasion conducted by the FBI under approval of Merrick Garland, the sulky, rejected SCOTUS nominee.

This is a conspiracy. Not a conspiracy theory, but a true, blue conspiracy. Emphasis on blue.

Brandon and his illegal junta conspired to set Donald Trump up to be raided and indicted. But so much is off about the raid that I wonder if it will hold water. Trump is punching back by demanding a special master (a third-party attorney, i.e. a watchdog) to manage the review of evidence seized from his home by the FBI and that federal investigators’ work related to the evidence is paused until the review is done.

Most of the outlets I read talk about “classified” or “top secret” documents taken in the raid, but as the highest executive in our government, Trump can declassify whatever he wants to.

“The story says the National Archives found the documents had classification markings on them. That doesn’t mean that they were not declassified. All previously classified documents have classification markings on them; it shows they used to be classified. It’s petty bureaucracy at its finest, government simpletons not following a president’s orders to have them marked ‘declassified.’ The president has unilateral authority to declassify documents — anything in government. He exercised it here in full,” Patel explained.

I don’t claim to be a lawyer and I don’t play one on TV. However, even a simpleton like me can see how this looks. It looks like another attempt to GET TRUMP. I don’t know how this will play out, but given the last six years, it’s very hard for me to tamp down my cynicism and see this as just another ploy to keep Trump out of the White House.

Even Liz-ard Cheney said that keeping Trump from becoming president was her goal on the J6 Klown Kommittee, and that’s her goal even now, after being shown the door in Wyoming. She’s also made herself the decider about which other Republicans are “unfit” for office, including Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley and Ron DeSantis. She has a clear case of TDS and should seek medical intervention.

Trump is a threat not to the United States of America, but to the oligarchy of men and women, like Liz-ard Cheney, who have a stranglehold on our government and want it to remain just the way it is. It’s the Establishment and those who benefit from being a part of it. It’s the trillions of dollars of grift that flow through that Establishment, enriching those “public servants” (*spit*) who feed at the public trough.

You know how much Anthony “I AM THE SCIENCE” Fauxchi will make every year once he steps down in December? Ready? $350,000 per year. $350,000 of our tax money. And that greasy pint-sized Frankenstein secretly and illegally funded gain-of-function research that led to the Chinese Lung Pox that killed millions of people around the world. Then he exercised dictatorial powers over every facet of life here in the US for two years, literally killing people and businesses.

I am not okay with that. Are you? Why Trump didn’t fire that medical midget is beyond me and strikes me as one of the gravest errors of judgment in his presidency.

Brandon and his minions want Trump sidelined and they don’t care how they do it. Cheney and other “conservatives” like her also want Trump out of the picture.

The Mar-a-Lago raid is just one more attempt to make it happen.

Daily Broadside | Pence is the Quintessential Nice Guy, But He’s Not Presidential Material

Tuesday and there’s more than enough craziness in this country to power my blog for another ten years. Not that I necessarily want to keep cataloging and critiquing our government and the people who run it. I’d much rather that the partisan institutional power brokers are rooted out and we return to some semblance of nonpartisan governance. But that’s not happening anytime soon, and my fear is that we’re right on the cusp of crossing into a socialist society from which we won’t be able to extricate ourselves.

I don’t know Mike Pence at all except what I’ve learned of him in the news and from one of my friends who knows him. As far as I can tell, he’s a solid conservative Christian man of principle (Roman Catholic).

You may remember the outrage over his “I don’t dine alone with a woman not my wife” rule. Virtue Pick (VP) Kamala Harris had a case of the vapors over his approach, disingenuously suggesting that women’s rights suffered from men who ostracized them and limited their opportunities. Of course, when has Kamala been right about anything recently?

The point is that Pence seems like a genuinely nice guy, the kind of even-tempered soul you’d like to visit with over dinner (with both your wives).

Recently, there’s been speculation that Pence may toss his hat in the ring for 2024. For instance, he spoke at St Anselm College in New Hampshire, where would-be presidential candidates sometimes visit. But during his speech, he said something that illustrates why he’s not the right guy for the job.

Are you kidding me? We’re in an existential fight for our existence right now as a constitutional republic and you’re scolding us for criticizing and calling out the manifestly unconstitutional war that the FBI and the DOJ have levied on Donald Trump and, by extension, all of his supporters (and many who loathe the man but loathe the FBI’s off the reservation activities even more)?

Kurt Schlichter and others are warning conservatives off voting for him.

Your problem is that you live on forever in a world that no longer exists, if it ever did. You live in a world where there are norms. You live in a world of rules and guardrails, where the institutions are at least nominally neutral and where we all share some basic premises that provide common ground. But we don’t. They hate America. They hate believing Christians and Jews. They hate the idea of free speech, freedom of religion, the right to due process, and not killing babies three seconds before they poke their heads out. They think kids should be mutilated to conform to gender delusions. They want us normals disarmed, disenfranchised, and, more often than you softies will admit, deceased.

You [and Tim Scott] want to run in 2024, but you think it’s still 2005, and you both talk like a pre-failure Weekly Standard article about “empowerment” and “opportunity.” Buzzwords like that are worse than meaningless in an environment where our basic liberties are under constant assault by these communist bastards. There’s a war on and you people want to sing Kumbaya. That’s why you cannot be allowed anywhere near the levers of power in 2024. 

You just can’t accept what time it is. The FBI, Crusty Joe’s personal Stasi, invades President Trump’s home – they rifle through his wife’s panty drawer – and Tim Scott tells CBS News that we need to wait for all the facts. All the facts? Like the FBI hasn’t spent the last six years trying to frame our president and everyone around him? “Sure, they made up a lot of things in the past to imprison Trump and his staff, but this time it might be totally true – let’s give them the benefit of the doubt!” 

Mike Pence then tells us we need to go easy on the Bureau flunkies who did the deed because, after all, the institution is full of good apples. Yeah, good apples. Where are these good apples? Who’s the guy who quit because he refused to be part of the Democrats’ political hit squad? What’s his name? Jim Jordan says 14 whistleblowers have come forward. Awesome – 14 out of 35,000. That’s a good apple tart, not even a good apple pie, much less a good apple barrel. 

You always want to give the benefit of the doubt to the institutions because to not do so pushes you outside of your comfort zone. You desperately want the system to work. But so do we hardcores. The difference is that our response to the manifest proof that the system is totally broken to the point where only drastic reforms under a ruthless leader like a Trump 2.0 or Ron DeSantis 1.0 can save our country is to accept the harsh reality. We have made peace with the fact that there is nothing left to conserve, that we must loot and pillage and fight to rebuild upon the ruins. 

But you softies, you cannot get your heads around the truth of the situation because to do so would require you to go hard, and going hard is not in your wheelhouse. It’s not your brand. So you simply ignore reality and pretend that it is 20 years ago and that if you are only a good person, good things will happen.

Over at forbes.com, Pence is quoted as saying, “We need to let the facts play out, but more than anything else, the American people need to be reassured in the integrity of our justice system, and the very appearance of a recurrence of politics playing a role in decisions at the Justice Department demands transparency as never before.”

Well, yes. Unfortunately, he’s talking about law and order while we’re watching the emergence of a police state. You really think they’re going to listen to your calls for transparency? The only reassurance some of us will ever accept is if the current Stasi-cum-FBI is demolished, which will take, in part, being defunded.

As much as Mike Pence is likeable as a person, I have to agree with Kurt Schlichter and the others. He can’t be president because he’s part of the problem.

Pence seems like a genuinely nice guy, but I won’t support him for president because as nice as he is, he’s part of the Establishment, and right now we need someone who is not.

Happy Monday. I hope you had a great weekend.

One of the questions I’ve gotten a few times from readers goes something like this: “OK, Dave, I get it. I see it. We’re in a crisis that most of the nation doesn’t see or is too scared to talk about. I agree with you. But what can we DO ABOUT IT?”

That’s been a tough one for me, too. A lot of the reading I do is great at analysis, but severely lacking on what we can do. I ask myself the same question and have written about it a few times before:

These are a good start (and it was good to be reminded of them), but I keep my eyes and ears open to new ideas because the alternatives to doing nothing aren’t attractive to me.

Over the weekend I had a conversation with a conservative, Christian political consultant I know. I asked her the same question: What can the average person do to help turn things around? She gave me a list.

  1. Be a poll watcher. “Poll watchers, also referred to as partisan citizen observers or poll challengers, represent political parties, candidates, or groups such as ballot issue committees at polling locations. Rules for poll watchers vary state to state. The use of poll watchers is primarily aimed at guarding a party or group’s chance at a fair election.”
  2. Be an election judge. An election judge, (or judge of election or election clerk, inspector or commissioner), is the person in charge at the polling place. They are the one who is responsible to open and close the polling place, examine and verify the ballots, “verify that voters are qualified to vote and that they are voting in the right precinct, and they provide instructions for voters to help voting go smoothly. In some states, election judges may help process absentee and mail-in ballots. Each state sets its own requirements for election judges.”
  3. Put a sign in your yard. Candidates will give you a sign for free. Easy-peasy, right? Yes, you will “out” your political leanings. So what? The lefties don’t care if you know about their partisan preferences. Why should you care if they know yours? Have courage! Of course, in our hyper-partisan political environment, opposing voters have been known to steal yard signs or otherwise destroy them. There are ways, however, to counteract that behavior!
  4. Knock on doors. Also known as political canvassing or the “ground game,” knocking on doors to persuade residents to vote for a candidate or to remind the already persuaded to turn out is key for most candidates. Door to door canvassing increases voter turnout by an average of nine percent. “Political canvassing occurs when candidates, staff, or volunteers from a political campaign attempt to directly contact voters by going door to door. This door knocking is part of an extensive outreach plan that helps put a face on a political campaign. The more people a candidate, staff, or volunteer of the campaign reaches, the further the campaign’s message spreads.”
  5. Make phone calls. This, too, is known as political canvassing. “Volunteer-led phone banks have been found to increase turnout by 3.8 percentage points.” Instead of walking neighborhood blocks, knocking on 20 doors an hour, you can volunteer to contact voters by phone.
  6. Write a check. If you’d rather make your contribution low key and out of sight, you can always donate to your preferred candidate’s campaign. Any amount makes a difference—because the difference between winning and losing an election often comes down to funding.

These are things we can all do.

The mid-terms are in November. Start looking into some of these ideas right now, as there is often an application process and training that has to happen for some of the more active roles.

Think about recruiting others who are like-minded to serve with you. Sometimes it’s easier if you have someone to share the effort with.

And don’t forget to appeal to God in prayer to promote good and to destroy evil.

Friday and I’d like to end the week with a synopsis of a short essay by Steve Rose over at American Thinker. In it he touches on an idea that has been forming in my head but hadn’t crystalized yet. As I was doing my daily reading, I came across the title of his article which immediately resonated with me.

Yes!

“Stop Calling Them Democrats. They’re Communists” accelerated my coalescing thinking, bringing clarity to many statements I’ve made over the last few years. I’ve called the Democrats “cultural Marxists.” I’ve called them “anti-American.” I’ve called them tyrants. I even wrote a column that called Democrats “Communists.” I’ve called for the Democrat party to be outlawed. I’ve even said that I’d rather be an American than a Democrat.

But Rose’s title-statement is a bold declaration that we’re no longer dealing with Americans who have a slightly different view of how to govern this great land. We’re dealing with an altogether different creature when we talk about today’s Democrats.

This is no longer the party of FDR, JFK, or even Bill Clinton, and it’s time to start calling a spade a spade…

One of the many challenges real Americans now face is to start calling “Democrats” what they actually are. They’ll protest. But if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and acts like a duck, we need to call it a duck.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that communism is just a myth, that it isn’t real, or even if it is real, it only exists in faraway places like China, and anyone who mentions it is a conspiracist who deserves ridicule.

I think he’s right that it is very difficult for the average American to wrap his or her head around the reality that there are functional communists who are not just living among us, but who operate in the highest levels of our society and its institutions. They have their hands on the levers of power.

I think we all know that we’re not living in our father’s America, but it’s really difficult to accept that it is, in fact, happening. But, as Rose writes, you only need to look at what the Democrats are doing to understand who they are. As the old adage goes, if you want to know what I believe, don’t ask me, watch me.

  • They’re raiding and jailing their political opponents.
  • They’re turning the FBI, CIA, and IRS against American citizens.
  • They’ve come out against freedom of speech, religion, press, the Second Amendment, and other core American ideals.
  • They’ve abandoned the rule of law, and now have one set of laws for themselves and another for the rest of us.
  • They’re deliberately trying to bankrupt us—sometimes directly (through shutting down businesses), sometimes indirectly (through wasting trillions of our dollars.)
  • They’re indoctrinating our children with radical ideologies.
  • They celebrate infanticide.
  • They’re making secret deals with foreign entities against our interests.
  • They’re deliberately keeping our borders wide open to erase our national identity.
  • They mandate groupthink and conformity and punish anyone who doesn’t parrot their chosen narratives, however absurd.
  • They’re purging the best from our military and converting what’s left into a tool of Wokeism.
  • They’ve transformed our once-great American cities into crime-ridden hellscapes.
  • They relentlessly stoke division between everyone and never miss the slightest opportunity to accuse someone or something of being racist, sexist, phobic, supremacist, etc.
  • They constantly work to slander, cancel, and erase our Founding Fathers, American heroes, and America itself. (E.g., they removed the statue of Theodore Roosevelt from the American Museum of Natural History.)
  • They want to defund the police, release criminals from prisons and disarm the rest of us.
  • They defend terrorists. (Joe Biden: “Antifa is an idea, not an organization.”)
  • They’ve ignored the first principle of the Nuremberg Code, which was written in the aftermath of WWII, and which explicitly prohibits coerced consent for experimental medications. (See, e.g., here or here.)
  • They’ve tried to corrupt elections on a national scale.
  • They’ve openly stated their desire to abolish the family structure itself.
  • They’ve threatened to abolish the filibuster, pack the Supreme Court, and dismantle the electoral college system.
  • They’re criminalizing normality on multiple fronts.
  • They’ve taken down American flags and raised other flags in government buildings and city streets, symbolizing their stealth political takeover.
  • Their leaders have literally kneeled to one form of the cause they actually serve in the Capital building.

As he acknowledges, there’s lots more that could be listed here, including the shocking six-year harassment of President Donald J. Trump that continues almost two years after he “lost” the fraudulent 2020 election. This list is unprecedented law-breaking and social norm-busting in which the highest law enforcement branches in the land have been weaponized against one part of the population — conservatives and MAGA supporters.

The problem is that while we can see what is happening, no one knows what to do about it. It’s become dangerous and risky over the last few years to express dissent from the imperial rulers’ official narrative, which is concocted by Democrats and amplified by Democrats through their Democrat mouthpieces in the media.

So concerned citizens are reluctant to point out what they see happening and for sure don’t want to speak out about it. Yet, that fear is exactly what communists want.

Tyrants don’t simply announce themselves openly and honestly. “Hi! I’m trying to become a tyrant, and I’d like to enslave you. Will you start obeying everything I say?” The serpent in the garden of Eden didn’t say, “Hi! I’m trying to turn you against the Almighty. Eat this, please.”

Instead, they make lofty, inspiring speeches. They promise free things. They appeal to our sense of hope, fairness, and justice. They claim to hold the solution to racial harmony, violence, and the literal death of the planet. They bribe the corrupt, seduce the gullible, and slander, disarm, and imprison everyone else.

Once they’re in power, the mask comes off. But by then, it’s too late.

That’s why I have been warning for years about some kind of open conflict erupting, and I’m not at all inclined to change my mind. In fact, I’ve only grown more certain that such a conflict is coming. How it will happen and what form it will take are unclear, but it only takes an incident like Mar-a-Lago to ignite the simmering anger of those it represents.

And if Trump is indicted — and I’m hearing that the DOJ is moving that way — I’m afraid that will set off a nationwide outburst that will lead to the government cracking down on we citizens in what will become a military-style lockdown. Think of the protesters who were at the Capitol on January 6 and did nothing more than wander through the hallways taking selfies. The vast majority of them are still held in jail without due process.

Think the State won’t do that to you if you’ve so much as voiced an opinion contrary to the current junta that’s in power?

You say they wouldn’t?

Why not? They’ve already gotten away with jailing the January 6 protesters. What’s to stop them from expanding their definition of what constitutes a threat to our precious (*spit*) democracy?

If they do it, who’s going to stop them?

I think Rose is right, that we’ve got to start calling them what they are. In the same way we’ve been calling transactivists and other members of LGBTQUERTY+ “groomers” for trying to corrupt our children, it’s time to call the Democrats what they are: communists.

We’re definitely under threat in the United States, but it’s not from foreign adversaries. It’s from right here among us. Their name is “Democrat”, but they are thoroughly communist. Make them own it.

Thursday and I had to take a couple of days off for travel without a computer. That kind of MIA will happen again in September, October and November. Thanks for your support and continued interest.

While I was out, Brandon signed into law the legal theft of some $750 billion for a “health care, tax and climate bill” that was called the “Inflation Reduction Act.” It’s not even worth mentioning that it will do nothing to curb inflation, while it does everything to line the pockets of politicians and corporations — and the imperial rulers of our country justify their robbery of American citizens with flat out lies as they push the teetering economy that was once vaunted and strong toward total collapse.

The raid on Mar-a-Lago continues to be in the news as Trump demands that the DOJ and FBI to release the affidavit that “proved” they would find evidence of a crime if they invaded his home. While the DOJ was fine with releasing the warrant and a list of what they took — excluding Trump’s passports! — they’re not so eager to release the affidavit providing the reason why they conducted the raid on a former president and likely 2024 presidential candidate.

Personally I believe that the raid was a line nobody should’ve crossed unless there was credible, significant and irrefutable evidence of a crime, especially with the credibility of our law enforcement agencies in tatters. If they don’t come up with something like I describe, there’s going to be huge trouble.

We’re knocking on the door of a major uprising.

Speaking of uprising — and a few steps back from a shooting war that I’m afraid we’re being drawn toward with the weaponization of our federal institutions — RINO Liz Cheney went down in defeat in her Tuesday primary to Trump-endorsed candidate Harriet Hageman. But she didn’t just lose — she got demolished. Her political career as a “representative” of Wyoming is over, done, terminated, finished, eliminated, destroyed … it’s toast.

With about 95 percent of the vote reporting as of Wednesday morning, Cheney was losing by a whopping 37 points to Harriet Hageman, with Cheney drawing only 28.9 percent of the vote compared to Hageman’s 66.3 percent, according to The New York Times. Hageman was declared the winner early on Tuesday night, and the race was never close by any stretch of the imagination.

She got crushed. But the staggering humiliation she was handed by the voters of Wyoming wasn’t enough to humble her and her hatred of Trump. She is so tone deaf that she likened herself to Abraham Lincoln, noting that he, too, was defeated in his runs for Senate and the house.

“The great original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln, was defeated in elections for the Senate and the house before he won the most important election of all,” Cheney said. “Lincoln ultimately prevailed. He saved our union and he defined our obligation as Americans for all of history.”

Only in her defeat is she anything like Lincoln, and even then, Lincoln lost to Stephen A. Douglas by a vote of 54-46, a separation of only 8 points, not 37. But Liz seems to think the threat of Donald J. Trump is akin to that of our first Civil War, and she is the Lincolnian savior, hinting at a presidential run in 2024.

To that I say: LOL!!!

Liz Cheney will never be president. She won’t even survive the primaries. And that’s if Trump isn’t running. That she thinks so highly of herself and her righteous cause is enough to motivate me to vote her down any time I might have the opportunity. And I know I’m not the only one.

With Cheney’s exit, there are two important things to note.

First, only two of the ten Republicans who voted to impeach Trump survived his scorched earth tactics: Rep. David Valadao (California’s 21st district) and Rep. Dan Newhouse (Washington’s 4th district). The other eight either retired or were defeated in their primaries. Like Abraham Cheney.

Second, and perhaps even more important, Trump nearly single-handedly snuffed out four political dynasties in just seven years.

The era of Donald Trump has brought a great many changes to the political world since 2016, and the year 2023 will be no different – the dynasties of Bush, Cheney, McCain, and Clinton will hold no quarter in either statewide or national office.

With the defeat of Liz Cheney in the Wyoming Republican congressional primary on Tuesday, the franchise dynasties that have dominated the U.S. political landscape going all the way back to the 1970s came to a crashing halt.

Whether or not the Republican Party takes control of Congress in November’s mid-term election, come January 23, there will be no politician by name of Bush, Cheney, McCain, or Clinton in the halls of Congress, the White House, or even on the state level.

This is very good news. Every one of those families were part of imperial establishment who really did no lasting good for the American people. Kurt Schlichter pulls no punches in his takedown of Cheney and the others.

And [Cheney’s] grotesque daughter was right on brand by joining the Democrats for a kangaroo kommittee that would have made Stalin blush. Her destruction of the norm of due process by putting out a TV-ready show trial with no possibility of the confrontation of witnesses, cross-examination, or counter-arguments did more damage to America than a few hundred selfie-takers in the Rotunda ever could. And this FBI raid? Chalk up the new “Sic the dogs on the previous guy” norm to the Lizard. Congratulations on making the Roman Empire great again, Lizzy, you historically illiterate mediocrity who would be nagging middle schoolers to use their inside voices if your daddy hadn’t hitched his wagon to the Bush dynasty. 

What have they created? Nothing. Instead, they wreck and think themselves special.

Don’t get me wrong; the defeat of the NeverTrump brigades won’t magically turn this nation around. Neither will Trump, although he’s got the best shot of doing so (unless DeSantis runs — then all bets are off). But getting rid of these RINOs and unprincipled men and women who won’t stand against the swamp they are a part of is an excellent first step.

Now we need to take back the House, Senate and, in 2024, the White House.

Friday and we’re already hitting the middle of August. The days are hurtling by on the road to November and our last chance to right the ship before 2024.

So Attorney General Merrick Garland made a rare statement yesterday and took responsibility for approving the raid on President Trump’s personal residence on Monday.

Attorney General Merrick Garland said he “personally approved” the decision to seek a search warrant for former President Trump’s private residence at Mar-a-Lago, saying the Justice Department has filed a motion to unseal the search warrant and property receipt from the FBI’s raid, amid “substantial public interest” in the matter, while defending the “integrity” of law enforcement officials.

The raid was outrageous not just for its brazen disregard of historical precedent, or for the reported purpose of recovering potentially “classified” materials that Trump had (even though the FBI had already seen everything that he had), or even for the overkill of sending 40 agents to swarm Trump’s home.

No, the real outrage is in the selective application of enforcement and the absolutely appalling corruption that exists in agencies like the FBI, putting the lie to Garland’s defense of the “integrity” of the agency. The FBI in particular and our law enforcement institutions in general have become much too large, much to unaccountable, and much too smug.

They are a danger to the republic.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, once so popular it had its own TV show solely dedicated to its heroics, has become a hyper-politicized, jackbooted bully that no longer serves the American people or the U.S. Constitution, which its employees are sworn to protect. It has become, instead, the intelligence arm and domestic enforcer of the far left.

Did we say defund? Yes. But we don’t mean simply to cut its funding, as leftists have disastrously proposed for police forces across the country. We mean tear down the entire rotting edifice of the FBI and replacing it with a new agency that respects the Constitution and holds itself accountable to all Americans, not just the woke far left.

The Editorial Board of Issues & Insights isn’t the only group calling for a complete dismantling of the FBI. See Kyle Shideler’s recent essay at American Greatness, “For the Rule of Law to Reign, the Bureau Must Be Destroyed.”

Nevertheless, the FBI must be abolished.

The solution to the abuses we now endure is not just to subject the FBI to another fruitless inspector general investigation but to dismantle it completely. The bureau cannot be the focus of yet another congressional hearing. FBI Director Christopher Wray, like his predecessors, is more than happy to sit smirking while a handful of grandstanding congressmen and senators pound the table and yell on C-SPAN. Then he’ll jet off for a holiday vacation on a taxpayer-funded private jet while the same congressmen vote to increase his budget. Again.

No, the FBI must be rendered into component parts and distributed to the four winds…

…The FBI’s actions over the past six years make perfectly clear that the FBI is more than willing to serve as the enforcement arm of the Democratic Party. It serves as its patron’s shield in matters large and small. It exonerated Hillary Clinton for her illicit server. It raided James O’Keefe and Project Veritas when Joe Biden’s daughter lost her diary. It eliminated investigation into Black Lives Matter and other black identity extremists because those pursuits annoyed the Democrats’ Congressional Black Caucus. It refuses even to utter the word “Antifa” while churches and pregnancy centers are fire-bombed. It continues to cover up for Hunter Biden’s corrupt dealings with enemy nations, along with his indulgence in criminal prostitution and drug abuse.

But the FBI has also served as the Democrats’ sword as well. It knowingly laundered the Russian collusion hoax, lying in order to secure FISA warrants. It ambushed the president’s sitting national security advisor in a nonsense perjury trap. The FBI hunts down January 6 protesters while dodging congressional inquiries about the role of federal agents in provoking the incident. The FBI ginned up a fake kidnapping plot in Michigan to instill fear of right-wing terrorism, manhandled the former president’s lawyer, and shackled one of his former high-level aides.

And it has now raided the former president’s home under a mere pretext, while the Democrats openly crow on cable news about using a political prosecution to prevent Trump from ever again being able to serve in office.

That’s what makes the raid on Trump so impossibly outrageous: the flagrant double standard the FBI and any number of other agencies flaunt in our faces. They don’t even pretend to be impartial and even-handed. In fact, they seem to revel in the fact that they’re only serving one team.

It’s been going on for years.

Did former president Clinton’s National Security Advisor, Sandy Berger, who stuffed documents down his pants and in his socks, walked out of the National Archives with them, and lied about doing so, get raided by the FBI to recover any other potentially “classified” materials? No, he got fined and two years’ probation after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material.

Unlike Berger, Trump was the president, the chief executive and, as such, could declassify any documents he wanted. But the FBI decides to raid his home.

Victor Davis Hanson, one of my favorite essayists, puts it just as bluntly as the others:

The FBI is dissolving before our eyes into a rogue security service akin to those in Eastern Europe during the Cold War.  

Take the FBI’s deliberately asymmetrical application of the law. This week the bureau surprise-raided the home of former President Donald Trump—an historical first. 

A massive phalanx of FBI agents swooped into the Trump residence while he was not home, to confiscate his personal property, safe, and records. All of this was over an archival dispute of presidential papers common to many former presidents. Agents swarmed the entire house, including the wardrobe closet of the former first lady. 

Note we are less than 90 days out from a midterm election, and this was not just a raid, but a political act. 

An October surprise in August. I wonder what they have planned for October?

The FBI interferes with and warps national elections. It hires complete frauds as informants who are far worse than its targets. It humiliates or exempts government and elected officials based on their politics. It violates the civil liberties of individual American citizens. 

The FBI’s highest officials now routinely mislead Congress. They have erased or altered court and subpoenaed evidence. They illegally leak confidential material to the media. And they have lied under oath to federal investigators.

It’s time to dismantle the FBI, tear out the studs, dig up the foundation and salt the earth where it once stood. There is no reforming it.

And Trump may be just the guy to do it because, well … this, which he and his team released the day after the raid.
