Daily Verse | Zechariah 5:7-8 Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman! He said, “This is wickedness,” and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed the lead cover down over its mouth.
Happy Friday and the last day of September. Fall is in the air here, with temperatures in the low- to mid-60s during the day this last week. Chilly!
The really great thing about going into October is that we’re only about a month out from the mid-term elections and one of our increasingly rare opportunities to claw back some of the power taken from us during the 2020 election. We may not get all we need, but hopefully enough to check the rampant, out of control dismantling of what was once the greatest nation in the world.
I’ve learned over the last several years, however, to not get my hopes up too high because NOTHING EVER HAPPENS with the power once we have it. Remember when we had the White House, the House and the Senate during Trump’s first two years? Remember how we all wanted the Republicans to repeal Obamacare?
Remember, especially, HOW THEY DIDN’T DO IT?
Hey, guess how many GOP senators out of 50 are demanding an explanation for the FBI arrest of a pro-life activist?
That many?
I guess we should be grateful we got any. That’s why I don’t have great hope in our political processes anymore.
That’s how the GOP rolls. We have a few solid conservatives in office, but the rest are members of the UniParty that like the trappings of political life in D.C. They aren’t serious about reining in the current junta, because it would require them to oppose the status quo and risk losing their next election.
We’re drifting on a rotting ship that’s lost its rudder, its sails are in tatters, its maps have been replaced by deformed drawings of imaginary places, the crew is telling the passengers to paint the deck in rainbow colors, the captain is being paid off by privateers, and the guards are punishing anyone who notices.
Daily Verse | Haggai 1:9 “What you brought home I blew away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house.”
Turns out Feinstein and Swalwell weren’t the only ones who were national security threats because of their relationship with a Chinese spy. The skeevy, whoring, drug-addicted, grifting offspring of Resident Brandon was in a close personal relationship with a Chinese-American woman named JiaQi Bao who served as his secretary when he went into business with Patrick Ho, secretary general of Chinese oil giant CEFC.
Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky called new revelations about Hunter Biden a “national security nightmare” during a Monday evening Fox News appearance.
“Have you ever wanted to see a spy movie? You don’t even have to go to the theaters. Go to Washington, D.C., where Chinese spies just bait and hook gullible people in power. Sometimes all it takes is a honey trap. We saw it with Eric Swalwell who got caught sleeping with Fang Fang, the spy who stole his heart,” Fox News host Jesse Watters said in introducing Comer, the ranking Republican on the House Oversight Committee. “Swalwell wasn’t the only person to have a Fang Fang in D.C. Turns out Hunter Biden may have dabbled with a Chinese spy, too. Her name is JiaQi Bao.”
JiaQi directed the then-vice president’s son to a scheme to “sell natural gas to China in 2017”–you know, as your secretary does. Bao reportedly told him “where the Chinese wanted to purchase the gas from,” according to The Daily Caller.
JiaQi also gave Hunter pointers on oppo-research for the “big guy’s” White House run. Sure, homegirl offered “opposition research for Joe’s White House run and encouraged him to draw funds from the company’s accounts when the joint venture collapsed and even ended up with Hunter’s military dog tags.”
The Daily Mailreported in May of 2021 that “flirty messages” on Hunter’s laptop — you know, the one those crack 50 national security experts said was “likely Russian disinformation” — confirmed that Hunter was holding his special “dog tags” for his “secretary” in his CEFC deal with his contact, a “spy chief of China.”
Just like any secretary (I thought we were to call them “administrative assistants” now, like calling stewardesses “flight attendants”?), Bao told Biden where to make the purchases of gas and then offered oppo research to GET TRUMP when his father ran for president after she encouraged Hunter to get “Uncle Joe” to run. Don’t all business secretaries do that?
Where do you suppose that oppo research came from?
Here’s Jesse Watters discussing this national security embarrassment threat with Lee Smith.
WATTERS: “Is the whole government compromised by China? Is this what we’re dealing with?”
SMITH: “Absolutely. The whole government has been compromised by China. Actually, the political elite as well as the corporate establishment has been compromised by the Chinese Communist Party for decades now. Joe and Hunter Biden are just a manifestation.”
The Bidens are EVERYTHING (and more) that the Left claims Trump was. They are the national security threat. They are on the payroll of one of our greatest enemies. They are the compromised. They are the grifters. They are the fascists. They are the anti-American threat that is running amok in our country today.
They are the ones who present the greatest threat to our safety and security.
But where are the DOJ and the FBI? Busy squashing the Biden laptop story, running entrapment schemes to kidnap the Michigan governor, arresting Catholic dads who oppose abortion, ‘tagging’ parents they consider threatening at school board meetings, “padding” domestic terrorism data, “altering its categorization of Jan. 6 defendant cases to create the illusion that domestic terrorism is far more prevalent than it actually is,” stealing lock box treasures, raiding a former president’s home based on false premises, and harassing “normal” Americans as though they’re jihadists plotting the next terror attack.
Normal Americans are looking at the complete dissolution of their constitutional government into a law unto itself. There’s only a couple of ways this can end, and one of them involves a lot of innocent citizens in gulags.
Daily Verse | Zephaniah 3:8 “Therefore wait for me,” declares the Lord, “for the day I will stand up to testify. I have decided to assemble the nations, to gather the kingdoms and to pour out my wrath on them— all my fierce anger. The whole world will be consumed by the fire of my jealous anger.“
Wednesday’s Reading: Haggai 1-2
It’s Wednesday and middle of the week. Everything is smooth sailing from here, right?
A well-known pro-life author, sidewalk counselor, and father of seven was the latest victim of a U.S. Department of Justice-sponsored SWAT raid and arrest — for supposed “FACE Act” violations — at his rural home as his children looked on “screaming.”
Mark Houck is the founder and president of The King’s Men, which promotes healing for victims of pornography addiction and promotes Christian virtues among men in the United States and Europe.
According to his wife Ryan-Marie, who spoke with LifeSiteNews, he also drives two hours south to Philadelphia every Wednesday to sidewalk council for six to eight hours at two different abortion centers.
Ryan-Marie, who is a homeschool mother, explained the SWAT team of 25 to 30 FBI agents swarmed their property with around 15 vehicles at 7:05 a.m. this morning. Having quickly surrounded the house with rifles in firing position, “they started pounding on the door and yelling for us to open it.”
What did Houck do to warrant such an overwhelming show of force? Did he firebomb an abortion clinic? Did he murder an abortion doctor? Did he rally white supremacists to pound on the doors of the local Planned Parenthood?
No, no and no.
Houck was accused of, get this, “violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, due to a claimed ‘ATTACK OF A PATIENT ESCORT.'” Exactly what did Houck do?
Ryan-Marie stated this charge comes from an incident that had already been thrown out of the District Court in Philadelphia but was somehow picked up by Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice.
On several occasions when Mark went to sidewalk counsel last year, he took his eldest son, who was only 12 at the time, she explained. For “weeks and weeks,” a “pro-abortion protester” would speak to the boy saying “crude … inappropriate and disgusting things,” such as “you’re dad’s a fag,” and other statements that were too vulgar for her to convey.
Repeatedly, Mark would tell this pro-abortion man that he did not have permission to speak to his son and please refrain from doing so. And “he kept doing it and kind of came into [the son’s] personal space” obscenely ridiculing his father. At this point, “Mark shoved him away from his child, and the guy fell back.”
“He didn’t have any injuries or anything, but he tried to sue Mark,” and the case was thrown out of court in the early summer.
This incident happened in October 2021—a full year ago!
Then there is the issue of the FBI raiding a business in Beverly Hills. Agents had a warrant because there was cause to believe that there was criminal activity going on, specifically drug trafficking and money laundering. But while agents were on-scene, they also broke into safety deposit boxes belonging to customers and seized the assets and money inside. The FBI maintains that everything was above-board, but the Post Millennial has information that the judge who issued the warrant was misled. Specifically, the warrant did not show that the agents intended to permanently confiscate everything in boxes that contained at least $5,000 in assets.
Once again, we see Joe Biden’s two-tiered justice system at work. Remember when news dropped that the Supreme Court was set to overturn Roe v. Wade and the violent left attacked more than 50 pro-life centers? Guess how many people have been arrested in connection with those attacks? Not a single one. PJ Media’s Robert Spencer reported:
Nonetheless, it’s clear that Biden’s Justice Department, which took the highly unusual step of openly dissenting from the decision overturning Roe and has been decidedly reluctant to protect conservative Supreme Court Justices from illegal protests at their homes, is hardly making the protection of pro-life centers a high priority. No one has been arrested from the pro-abortion group Jane’s Revenge, despite its open threats to pro-lifers. “We will hunt you down and make your lives a living hell,” the group has said. This is, it says, a “war” against pro-lifers.
Then there are the two FBI whistleblowers, Steve Friend and Kyle Seraphin. Both have been suspended as retaliation for their disclosures (although Friend’s is a de facto suspension because his security clearance was revoked, making it impossible for him to do his job).
One major point he makes is that the FBI has shifted from a crime-investigation organization to an intelligence organization.
This is important. Consider: To investigate you criminally, a law enforcement investigation first needs grounds to suspect you have committed a specific crime. There is a necessary predicate to justify digging into you. It’s not a high threshold, but it is a threshold.
But to open up an intelligence probe of someone, you don’t need any predicate of a crime. All you need is… well, you knew this guy and he knew this guy and you’re all conservatives and this other conservative once posted to a “Stop the Steal” FaceBook group. And now they can begin spying on you.
This is a huge shift in mentality.
And it turns the FBI into a general State Security Police, a general Stasi, a general KGB. They can investigate whoever they want. And no longer are they limited to investigating people for at least having some ties to a suspected overseas intelligence organization or handler; no, now it’s enough that you have some connection to any rightwing group or person they don’t like.
Add to all of this the highly suspect DOJ raid on President Donald J. Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago on ludicrous charges, the FBI’s suppression of Hunter Biden’s laptop and the role the FBI had in framing Trump as a Russian spy, and it’s clear that the agency needs to be razed and the earth salted.
But it’s not going to happen. I’ll say it again—be ready for more and more of this as the “government” expands its abuses of power, all with Darth Brandon’s blessing in his September 1 speech at Independence Hall.
Daily Verse | Nahum 3:1 Woe to the city of blood, full of lies, full of plunder, never without victims!
Monday’s Reading: Habakkuk 1-3
Monday and it’s the last week of September.
Today’s “Daily Verse” is from the book of Nahum, one of the twelve “minor” prophets. The “city of blood” referred to in 3:1 is ancient Nineveh, which is located just outside of modern-day Mosul, Iraq.
You may remember Mosul was captured by the Islamic State in 2014, taking control of Iraq’s second-largest city. The Islamists then gave Christians an ultimatum: leave the city, pay the jizya (a fee of protection) or die by the sword. They all fled, leaving no Christians in Mosul for the first time in the history of Iraq.
But Mosul was known for its murderous streets even before then. In April, 2010, while U.S. troops were still stationed in Iraq, I traveled to Erbil in Kurdistan-controlled northeastern Iraq as a member of a small Christian humanitarian relief organization. Erbil is about 50 miles east of Mosul.
Ancient Nineveh is mostly known because of the biblical prophet, Jonah, who was told by God to go and call the Assyrian capital city to repentance during the reign of king Ashurdan III (772–754 BC). He refused, and scripture tells us he spent three days in the belly of a great fish to help correct his attitude.
Turns out that the prophet Nahum also prophesied against Nineveh.
The fascinating thing that you may not know is that Nahum’s tomb is in the city of Alqosh, Iraq, about 30 miles north of Mosul. And that’s the small city we visited one day while I was in Iraq.
Nahum’s tomb was on the northern side of the city and was in severe disrepair. This is what it looked like when we stepped out of our car.
In the background are the domes of a local Catholic church where the bones of the prophet were reportedly moved out of fear that the Jews who left the country in the 1950s would take his remains with them. Whether the bones were moved or not is still the subject of debate because no one dares violate the burial site.
But inside the crumbling edifice in the northern reaches of a Muslim majority country was something magnificent and, to me as an outsider from the West, shocking—ancient Hebrew text inscribed on the walls of the tomb.
And here is the actual burial site within the tomb, fenced off and covered by a green tarp. We never saw what the tarp covered.
While I was there a gaggle of very young Arab boys were playing in the courtyard. One of them came up to me wearing headphones plugged into some kind of device. He smiled large and motioned for me to listen to what he was listening to, so I took his headset and placed it in my ears.
I’ll never forget how shocked I was—again—when I heard explicit American gangsta’ rap music. I was immediately embarrassed, thinking, “This is what we’re exporting?” The boy thought I’d be pleased to hear what he was listening to, but I just shook my head, disappointing the kid’s expectations that I’d find it awesome. How could I affirm that garbage?
We left not knowing what would happen to the tomb, grateful to have visited but assuming we’d never see it again and that it would be completely lost before long.
For decades, the people of Alqosh, members of the Chaldean Catholic Church, guarded a shrine once revered by local Jews as the final resting place of Nahum of Elkosh. But on that day, the structure that lay before them was crumbling around a caved-in roof.
“The walls and pillars were cracked and crumbling. It looked like the rest of the building would collapse at any minute,” recalled Adam Tiffen, an American entrepreneur and project manager who had visited the site a year earlier and was there that day with the Israelis.
[…]
But according to Tiffen, the tomb was special. It had for generations resisted being turned into a church or mosque, and more recently had also been spared by Islamic State, which had not been so kind to the nearby Nabi Younus Tomb, believed to be where the prophet Jonah is buried, or a shrine in Mosul that some revere as the final resting place of the biblical Daniel.
“The synagogue was a beautiful and tangible reminder of the connection of the Jewish people to the land and their coexistence in the region with the Christian, Yazidi and Muslim communities for over a millennium,” Tiffen said.
“Given the recent sectarian violence and attacks by ISIS on religious minorities like the Christians and Yezidis, we also saw the restoration as a symbol of hope and a reminder of the common history and belief that we all share,” he went on. “Jews, Christians and Muslims coexisted in the region for hundreds or thousands of years. Perhaps not perfectly, but with a level of tolerance and acceptance that should not be forgotten.”
The whole article is worth the read if for no other reason than to appreciate the preservation efforts of a site connected to a biblical figure. And the photos included are spectacular, including close ups of the work.
Here’s a comparison between my first photo above and one taken from almost the same spot following the restoration 11 years after I was there:
In a region beset by so much violence, destruction and bloodshed—true to the ancient reputation of Ninevah as recorded by Nahum—it’s refreshing to see what has become of this historic Jewish and Christian site.
Daily Verse | Micah 2:11 If a liar and deceiver comes and says, ‘I will prophesy for you plenty of wine and beer,’ he would be just the prophet for this people!
Friday the 23 and one more week of September. The days fly by.
Stacy Abrams, Democrat and Georgia gubernatorial candidate for governor and president of United Earth, has made the absurd claim that there is no such thing as a fetal heartbeat at six weeks. Instead, she claims that the heartbeat you hear is a “manufactured sound.”
And why would ultrasound machines fake heartbeat sounds? Because men.
I don’t know any of the science behind fetal development or the mechanics of an ultrasound machine, but I’m pretty sure the “science is settled,” as they say, regarding when a fetus develops a heart.
Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier slammed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams for her “flat-out lie” after the Democrat claimed the fetal heartbeat at six weeks gestation is a “manufactured sound.” Saphier ripped Abrams Thursday for her remarks on “Outnumbered,” demanding she be held “accountable” for her fictitious claims…
So what about three weeks after gestation or after conception? The heart, the cells of the heart, the myocardium starts to rhythmically contract. So really the heart starts beating at three weeks. Yes, you can start seeing the heartbeat five to six weeks after conception on the ultrasound, but that’s only because it’s so small and because of all the other structures are in the way with the pelvis. But that heart is contracting very easy early on. It is not a conspiracy. It is not anything to do with what she’s talking about, and I think that she needs to be held accountable for the lies that are coming out of her mouth.
What’s not so easy to understand is her claim that the so-called “manufactured sound” is “designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman’s body.” Can we break it down?
“Designed to convince people” — I think what she’s referring to here is not the actual design of the sound (such as its pitch or believability) as much as she’s saying the idea of faking the sound of a heartbeat will be persuasive to people.
Odd choice of the word “people” as opposed to, say, “women,” given what she says next. But I think what she’s referring to is the general electorate. The voters.
And what will the electorate be convinced of?
“That men have the right to take control of a woman’s body” — This, says Abrams, is what the people who vote will be convinced of if they hear a heartbeat.
They will be convinced that there’s a living baby in the uterus, not just a clump of cells.
They will be convinced they have a moral obligation to protect and care for that baby as it grows through the nine months of pregnancy.
So if “people” are convinced that there is a heartbeat, they’ll vote to make it illegal to kill the baby in your womb by abortion or, as she puts it, “to take control of a woman’s body.” This is unacceptable to her and the modern Left because abortion is the sacrosanct religious practice of child sacrifice in the name of sex without consequence.
What makes my analysis unsure is that she refers only to “men” taking control of women’s bodies. But both men and women vote, so I could be wrong. On the other hand, she could be making men the oppressors and women the victims, which fits neatly with her Leftist ambitions.
Whatever the twisted logic behind her claim, Abrams is peddling a conspiracy, which we know is dangerous misinformation and should be censored by big tech and social media companies.
Daily Verse | Jonah 4:11 “But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?”
“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic…
“And here, in my view, is what is true: MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people…
And, folks, it is within our power, it’s in our hands — yours and mine — to stop the assault on American democracy.”
That is an invitation to the rest of the country to fear the “MAGA Republicans.” And if you fear something, you’re going to do whatever you need to do to protect yourself from the threat.
Forty-one-year-old Shannon Brandt said he was afraid 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson was “part of a Republican extremist group and that he was afraid they were ‘coming to get him.’”
So he allegedly killed Ellingson with his car.
After visiting the scene where the incident happened, deputies went to Brandt’s house in Glenfield, ND, which is about 12 minutes from the crash scene. Brandt admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident, and stated he hit Ellingson with his car because he had a political argument with him. Brandt also admitted to deputies that he initially left the crash scene, then returned to call 911, but left again before deputies could arrive.
Court documents say just before the crash, Ellingson called his mom and asked if they knew who Brandt was. She said yes, and told her son she was on her way to pick him up. A short time later, court documents say Ellingson called his mom again to say that “he” or “they” were chasing him. It was after the second call that Ellingson could not be reached again.
Brandt has been charged with vehicular homicide and drunk driving.
You can’t tell me there isn’t a direct correlation between what this man did and what Resident Brandon said three weeks ago. A drunk man killed a teenager because he was afraid of his political party affiliation.
The kind of rhetoric that Brandon employed has been building against conservatives and Republicans for years, whether Maxine Waters encouraging a crowd to tell Trump administration officials, “they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” or Barack Hussein Obama proclaiming disdain for small town Americans who “get bitter, they cling to guns or religion,” or Hillary Clinton who called half of Trump supporters a “basket of deplorables” and “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic,” or Grumpy Brandon who called some conservative Trump supporters “forces of intolerance” and “some of them the dregs of society.”
Brandon doubled-down on his rhetoric again just a week ago during the ironically named “United We Stand” summit.
President Joe Biden on Thursday said that modern day conservatives were part of a “through line of hate” that has been at the root of the American experiment since its inception…
According to Yahoo News, Biden used the summit to reinforce his administration’s false assertion that white supremacist terrorism is the greatest threat to America. As The Post Millennial and other sources have reported, that assertion originated from a government report sampled across only one year, parts of 2018-2019, in which white supremacist extremists were only compared to other homegrown and domestic violent extremists.
Prior to his “through line of hate” remarks, Biden had promised to combat “hate-fueled violence” and said the current threat is rightwing hate in America. He invoked Charlottesville, Trump, and a broader conservative coalition he deemed as threatening.
“Unfortunately, such hate-fueled violence and threats are not new to America,” Biden said, linking modern conservatives to his through line of hate.
If you’re a conservative, a Christian, want to Make America Great Again, support Donald J. Trump, oppose the current regime, or believe the 2020 election was fraudulent or stolen, then you have a target on your back. You are being intentionally demonized, marginalized and “othered.”
Daily Verse | Obadiah 15 “The day of the Lord is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head.”
Wednesday’s Reading: Jonah 1-4
Well, it’s Wednesday and hump day. Hang in there if it’s a tough week—Friday’s coming.
It continues to surprise me how often national political leaders employ scripture in support of their agenda. On the one hand, I believe scripture ought to factor into policy decisions that affect the welfare of our citizens. On the other hand, scripture in the hands of the Left seems to be pressed into service for unholy purposes.
California Governor Gavin Newsom on Thursday cited the words of Jesus from Mark 12:31 in support of abortion, “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.” The billboard campaign advertises California abortion in seven pro-life states — Indiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Texas.
The advertisements are paid for by Newsom’s reelection campaign, and Newsom tweeted the ads at the respective governors of those states from his personal account, presumably because he understands that the campaign is nothing but a political gimmick unworthy to be funded by California’s overburdened taxpayers.
If Newsom was aiming to cause a reaction, he succeeded. While the billboard campaign itself is unremarkable political grandstanding, invoking the words of Jesus to defend abortion provokes a refutation. Newsom understands that most of abortion’s fiercest critics are Christians. So he chooses to promote abortion in the words of the very same Son of God who “Morning Joe” Scarborough insisted on September 9 “never once mentioned” abortion.
My reaction to the Joe Scarborough misuse of scripture is here. In that commentary, I lay out the value that the Bible—and Jesus himself—place on children.
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. — Psalm 127:3-4
As the author of the linked article says, Newsom’s use of scripture isn’t any better than Scarborough’s. He’s taking Jesus’ words to mean that giving a pregnant woman an abortion is “loving your neighbor.”
But is it?
It all hinges on whether the life in the womb is a child or not. Women’s rights advocates, Planned Parenthood administrators, abortion doctors and progressive Democrats will swear it isn’t a child. It is a “mass” or a “clump of cells” or, maybe, among the most extreme of those who support abortion, they will admit it’s a baby but insist the mother has the right to terminate its life.
On the other hand, pro-life advocates will insist that the life growing in the mother’s womb is, indeed, a human being. From a Christian’s point of view, there’s no question that the fetus is a person from the point of conception, made in the image of God and worthy of protection. Even an obscure verse from the book of Job (3:3) confirms it:
“May the day of my birth perish, and the night that said, ‘A boy is conceived!’”
If the fetus is a human being, then it is absolutely wrong to kill it. The sixth of ten commandments says, “Thou shalt not commit murder,” which is the intentional taking of an innocent life.
You can’t get more innocent than a baby in utero.
Circling back to the use of Mark 12:31, then, Newsom is infusing the verse with an incorrect application. Yes, we are to love our neighbor, but not while violating another commandment.
What his use of the scripture amounts to is a cynical swipe at Christians, twisting one scripture verse taken out of context to mock their concerns for the unborn.
Without being alarmist, Newsom might want to reconsider how he’s using the Bible. Elsewhere it says,
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. — Isaiah 5:20
Daily Verse | Amos 5:14 Seek good, not evil, that you may live.
Tuesday’s Reading: Obadiah
Tuesday and I’m back from a wonderful weekend in a very hot part of the United States watching one of my daughters play soccer and meeting the family of another daughter’s boyfriend.
I had no time to check in on the flaming dumpster fire called the Democrat party (I refuse to call them “Democratic” since they are anything but) and the idiocy they’re inflicting on the country, but I caught wind of what happened in Martha’s Vineyard, where Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sent 50 (fifty!) illegal aliens who showed up in his state at the invitation of Resident Open Borders.
In one of the richest enclaves in the United States, they declared a “humanitarian crisis” because, “We cannot, we do not, have the services to take care of 50 immigrants.” I swear I am not making this up.
After only 40 hours or so, the island community called in the National Guard who whisked the nuisance group off to a military establishment. CNN then gushed a fawning headline, “‘They enriched us.’ Migrants’ 44-hour visit leaves indelible mark on Martha’s Vineyard.”
In reality, their concern appears to be solely about optics and virtue signaling. When Republican governors send 50 migrants unannounced to Martha’s Vineyard, it’s a humanitarian crisis that gets days of national media coverage. When 51 migrants who were encouraged to illegally cross the border by the actions of Democratic politicians die in the back of a tractor-trailer abandoned by coyotes in the Texas heat, well, that’s a statistic.
The move by DeSantis was brilliant because it exposed the raw hypocrisy of an elite that votes for people like Brandon who promise open borders, but never have to live with the consequences of the policies that are enacted.
In a single stroke, Ron DeSantis tore the mask of hypocrisy off the smug faces of the liberal elites who love crowing about the virtues of “diversity” and the evils of “whiteness” just so long as they don’t have to suffer any real-world consequences. “People who make and advocate certain policies,” Tucker Carlson said, “should at some point have to live with those policies.” That was the moral of Ron DeSantis’ bravura performance. God bless him for it.
Daily Verse | Hosea 9:7 Because your sins are so many and your hostility so great, the prophet is considered a fool, the inspired person a maniac.
Friday’s Reading: Joel 1-3 Saturday’s Reading: Amos 1-5
Friday, my friends, and the end of the week. I’ll be traveling over the weekend and won’t have a post on Monday but will pick up next Tuesday.
This morning’s post is going to be short, because I want you to take a few minutes and watch the following video (courtesy Ace of Spades). Were you aware that Google and Bing and Duck Duck Go are erasing the Internet? They are the top three search engines on the Internet, and their function, so we are told, is to search the Internet and bring you the information you are looking for.
But what if they decide that you shouldn’t see the information you’re looking for? What if they decide that not only should you not see that information, but that you should see only the information they think you should see?
It might look something like this (you only have to watch the first 4:00 or 5:00 minutes to get the point):
This is censorship at a macro level.
It’s viewpoint discrimination.
These “private” leftwing monopolies are making decisions about what information we are allowed to see and what information we are not allowed to see. So, for example, if you want to research January 6 from a conservative point of view—where do you go for that information?
If you’re not troubled by this, all I can say is, you should be.
Daily Verse | Hosea 4:12 My people consult a wooden idol, and are answered by a stick of wood. A spirit of prostitution leads them astray; they are unfaithful to their God.
Thursday’s Reading: Hosea 8-14
Thursday and we’re at the halfway point of September. “Thirty days hath September …”
When I say that the Left is all about sowing chaos and shattering norms by forcing their warped vision of “norms” on the country, I mean things like Resident Brandon’s appointment of Dr. Demetre Daskalakis as the White House National Monkeypox Response Deputy Coordinator.
This guy seems helpful and informative.
Oops, wrong media. My bad.
This guy seems … disturbed.
Just like “Dark Brandon” is the jokey side of the Resident, so here we have Dark Demetre. But this isn’t funny. The National Pulse has an in-depth article about Daskalakis.
Daskalakis is known for his efforts in the world of HIV and other diseases affecting the LGBTQ+ community, having attended New York University Medical School, followed by a residency, fellowship, and additional masters degree from Harvard Medical School. In an interview with The Atlantic in 2014, he said “I learned my bedside manner from East Village drag queens.” He attended Columbia University as an undergraduate and was a “general and religion double major.” Raised by Greek Orthodox immigrants in Arlington, Virginia, a review of Dr. Daskalakis’s social media presence reveals a penchant for pentagrams and other Satanic symbolism, The National Pulse can reveal.
Daskalakis’s social media presence is disturbing, to say the least. Alongside his partner Michael MacNeal, the pair launched a “goth” gym in New York, which originally ran out of the high-profile Equinox gym chain, before spinning off into its own brand based in a former gay nightclub that in turn had taken over an old church in Manhattan: Monster Cycle.
Monster Cycle’s social media pages are full of references to Satanism, the devil, burning crosses, and pentagrams, and more. While the gym got fawning coverage from the New York Times (below) in 2014, its review on “SweatConcierge” made references to “alarming” imagery and “terrifying” co-ed locker rooms.
Are there any limits to the weirdos this Democratic administration will hire for important positions?
