Speaking of calling on the Lord …

Over the last several years I have found myself muttering, “We’ve lost our ever-lovin’ minds.” Most often it’s because of some absurdity that the social Marxists and their Progressive evangelists have foisted on the public. This includes things like “safe spaces” and “preferred pronouns” and biological males competing in women’s sports and giving Nobel Peace Prizes to unaccomplished politicians.

The latest absurdities took place at the start of the 117th Congress this past Sunday. The first was the opening prayer by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.), a United Methodist pastor, which sounded somewhat Christian but ended with politically-correct pandering to every faith tradition and an unbelievably stupid attempt to be “gender-inclusive.”

“Amen and a-woman”? Not only is this an insult to whatever god he’s praying to, this is ignorance passing for character in our woke epoch. As Dr. Michael Brown puts it,

“Amen” comes from the common Semitic root ’-m-n, with the word itself meaning, “So be it.” And it is used in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic liturgy, being found in Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and Arabic (along with English and many other languages).

Not to be outdone, House Democrats introduced new “gender-neutral” language rules that will govern House business. See page 5, line 20, here:

“In clause 8(c)(3) of rule XXIII, gendered terms, such as ‘father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, first cousin, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, half-brother, half-sister, grandson, or granddaughter’ will be removed.

“In their place, terms such as ‘parent, child, sibling, parent’s sibling, first cousin, sibling’s child, spouse, parent-in-law, child-in-law, sibling-in-law, stepparent, stepchild, stepsibling, half-sibling, or grandchild’ will be used, instead.”

This is the vapid depths to which social Marxism has brought us—the centrally-planned destruction of language. This is exactly what “Newspeak” was in George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984.

“‘Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it. Every concept that can ever be needed will be expressed by exactly one word, with its meaning rigidly defined and all its subsidiary meanings rubbed out and forgotten … Every year fewer and fewer words, and the range of consciousness always a little smaller. Even now, of course, there’s no reason or excuse for committing thoughtcrime. It’s merely a question of self-discipline, reality-control. But in the end there won’t be any need even for that … In fact there will be no thought, as we understand it now. Orthodoxy means not thinking – not needing to think. Orthodoxy is unconsciousness'” (from Chapter 5).

Until today, I have watched with stupefied fascination as insanity has been foisted on our country by mentally troubled people who, in turn, expect others to not only tolerate but affirm their mental illness as normal. It’s no longer stupefied fascination—the new House rules have set off alarm bells inside of me.

Our “representatives” have forfeited their right to lead. They want to destroy every vestige of historic American culture, everything we have held as “normal.” They are taking our freedoms, little by little, and imposing their freakish “norms” on us.

Is this the world we want to live in, pandering to the minority? Is this the world we want our children to live in, being brainwashed by the tyranny of a few? This isn’t how it’s supposed to work. Not any of it.

They must be opposed. They must be removed from office. This must not stand.
