Say, how is that little experiment with the autonomous zone going in Seattle? You know, the summer of love ushered in by Mayor Jenny Durkan that embodies the entire ethos of the song Imagine by John Lennon?
Oh—I see that two people were shot on June 20 and one of them, 19-year-old Lorenzo Anderson, died. Two more were shot yesterday morning—a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old; the older of the two was killed and the younger is fighting for his life. Interesting—all the victims were black teenagers.
Wonder if that’s gonna put a damper on the Black Lives Matter mojo. Can’t pin the shootings on police since the CHOPpers kicked them all out with Mayor Durkan’s support. Todd Herman had an interesting question: with all the demands for police to wear body cameras, was CHOP security wearing them?
The crime scene was “disturbed,” meaning that if there was any evidence, it’s long gone. Funny how that works—Antifa and BLM would be rioting if the police had “lost” the evidence after a couple of young black men had gotten shot. They’d allege a cover-up and claim it was evidence of widespread corruption. But when it happens on their watch?
*Crickets.*
After this latest shooting, did you hear that Mayor Durkan said, “We need to disrupt the cycle of violence”? Wait, what? I thought that CHOP was disrupting the cycle of violence! Summer of Love and all that.
It was a foregone conclusion that this “autonomous zone”—which was never really autonomous—would become a dumpster fire. It’s a collection of grievance mongers who thought by walling themselves off from the rest of the world, they could achieve “peace.” But lawlessness is not peace. It’s sin.
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

“Wisdom’s instruction.” That sounds refreshing.
