The men and women you send to Washington work really, really hard for … well, I was going to say, “you,” but you don’t believe that, do you?
The Senate passed a $95 billion national security supplemental package to assist Ukraine, Israel and the Indo-Pacific after a tedious procedural process that came to an end early Tuesday morning.
The final vote was 70 to 29, with 22 Republicans voting yes. Democratic Sens. Peter Welch and Jeff Merkley, plus independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, voted no.
That’s NINETY-FIVE BILLION DOLLARS. On top of $120 BILLION DOLLARS we’ve already sent to Ukraine. On top of $34 TRILLION DOLLARS OF U.S. DEBT that our esteemed rulers have laid on the backs of the American middle class from now until who knows when.
Do you known how much ONE TRILLION is? A trillion is one thousand billion — or one million million. A billion is one thousand million. A million is one thousand thousand.
So let’s count to a billion. To do that, count to a million one thousand times. Remember, a million comes right after 999,999. To count to a million once, you have to count to 999,999, then add one.
If you count one number per second, you’ll be done in about 11.5 days (no stops for eating, potty breaks, or sleeping!). To be precise, to count to a million it will take you 11 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes, and 40 seconds.
Go.
Done? Great! You counted to a million. But you only counted to one million once. To count to a billion, you need to count to one million 999 more times. Not 100 more times. Not 563 more times. Not 881 more times.
999 more times. 999 more 11.5-day periods of counting.
Go.
Done? But wait! You’re not done! Let’s say that you just counted to one million one thousand times. Yay! Good for you — you’ve reached a billion, yes — but you’ve only done that once. To reach the number of one dollar bills that the Senate just decided to give to other countries — not America — you need to count to one million one thousand times 95 times!
In other words, you need to count to one million 94,999 more times.
Go ahead. I’ll wait.
In the meantime, you might want to look at this graphic (based on this graphic) to give you a sense of scale, in case counting doesn’t do it for you.
That speck up there represents a thousand thousand (a million). And that small rectangle represents a thousand million (a billion). And the gigantic square represents a thousand billion (a trillion). Our national debt is about 34 of those gigantic squares.
And our treasonous $enators just layered 95 more of those rectangles on top of those 34 squares.
Here’s the best part: none of that money is going to Americans. None of it is going to you, or to me, or to any other American citizen. And not for anything that matters to you or to me or to anyone else here in this country.
Oh, no. That money is going to Ukraine (about $60 billion of it) and the rest is going to Israel and Taiwan.
Funny how our illustrious $enators in “the world’s greatest deliberative body” haven’t found any money to build a wall along our southern border, but they can find NINETY-FIVE BILLION DOLLARS to send to our frenz all over the world. They can’t find money to build new ships for our Navy, or buy more ammo for our military, but they can find NINETY-FIVE BILLION DOLLARS to give to more of our frenz in Eastern Europe or the Middle East or the Far East.
Don’t get me wrong — I don’t have a problem supporting Israel or arming Taiwan BUT I DO HAVE A PROBLEM DOING THAT WHILE BEING INVADED BY FOREIGNERS ACROSS OUR SOUTHERN BORDER.
Yet 22 Republican $enators, including the traitor Mitch McConnell, voted with the Democrats in the $enate to squeeze this monstrosity out its gaseous cavity known as the $enate chamber.
Let me ask you something: when was the last time your $enators or Representatives did something tangible for you. Something that gave you more freedom or let you keep more of your money.
Hmm? When?
They haven’t and they won’t. They hand out money to bad actors like Zelensky who is awash in American taxpayer dollars. You think that’s all going to his war with Russia? Maybe some of it. But it’s being laundered and making its way into his pockets and into our ruling class’s pockets.
Our $enators don’t work for you or for me.
They work for themselves and their globalist masters, and it’s long past time to kick them all to the curb.
Every last one of them.
Vote accordingly.
It sounds like a massive global redistribution of wealth strategy.
Oh it is. But the redistribution is going to those who already have power and wealth. It’s all a grift. It’s all about the Benjamins, baby.
Dave, we have Dick Durbin looking out for our interests, right ? I know it’s done in the middle of the night, when all of the “rats” come out, but I’m predicting in time, they’ll come out in the middle of the day and do their “work”, because no one seems to call out the corruption anyway. Just like they said there was no issue at the border. You know when they asked #2 if she had been to the border and she said “I haven’t been to Europe either”. We all asked ourselves, what kind of response was that? They’ve perfected the term “gaslighting” for sure !
