Wednesday and I’m checking in from the road. I’ve been traveling since Friday and have been without wifi. Not only was I not able to stay current with the things that interest me, but I was not able to post a blog. Last night I was in a location with wifi so I’m posting a brief missive to let those of you who noticed my absence know that I’m still here.
I did some reading yesterday to try and get my bearings on where things stand with the election results. To say that I’m dispirited is an understatement. I honestly cannot believe the disarray that we find ourselves in as America, and my opinion is hardening that the 2020 election, even more than the 2016 election, is a true watershed event in our national history. Something has been irreversibly transformed and, whatever the final outcome of the election, it has done tremendous damage to our institutions. Whether we can recover or will simply spiral out of control from the carnage remains to be seen.
Having said so, however, I remain hopeful that by some miracle, we might yet see president Trump continue in office for another four years. From what I’m reading, the chances of that happening are slim to none. The prospect of a Biden presidency is not only depressing but galling because it will be what the Left has called Trump for the last four years: illegitimate.
Every fiber of my being is preparing to resist what may, in fact, be a fake president.
Dave, you say you did some reading yesterday to get up-to-speed on Election events, but I can’t imagine what you choose to read. You’ve never sounded more doom and gloom before. Ugh.
Maybe while your traveling, you can listen to some podcasts. Charlie Kirk, head of Turning Point USA, has been doing great indepth reporting. He’s recently done excellent interviews with Sydney Powell, Gen. McInerney, Rudi Giuliani, etc. (There’s also Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens, David J Harris Jr, and of course Tucker Carlson, just to name a few.) Charlie closely follows President Trump, and all that’s going on. Charlie is intelligent, articulate, very knowledgeable about all that’s going on, including the legal ins and outs. When Charlie sounds worried, *then* we can worry.
Btw, Don’t read MSM!
CBN is a great news source, or OAN, or Newsmax, if you want to read. Honest, you don’t need to “doom and gloom” until there’s actually something to “doom and gloom” about.

Carol thank you for your encouragement! I am feeling sad about the state of the election and even more discouraged about the state of our country. I haven’t lost faith in God — He’s still sovereign and nothing happens without His knowledge. It’s just disappointing that we are where we are.
I’ve been transitioning to new social media, so we’re thinking the same about that!
