Daily Verse | 1 Samuel 23:16
And Saul’s son Jonathan went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God.
Welcome to the final Thursday of March, Broadside friends. The coat check is down the hall on the left.
Signs of a transition of power are emerging from the silence of the least transparent administration we’ve never seen. According to leaked emails, agencies have been instructed to refer to the Biden administration as the “Biden-Harris Administration,” a unprecedented hyphenate in American history.
“Please be sure to reference the current administration as the ‘Biden-Harris Administration’ in official public communications,” the directive reads, with “Biden-Harris Administration” accented in bold. (snip)
The subtle move to diminish Biden was also reflected in the official Twitter account for the White House. The description for that account now reads, “Welcome to the Biden-Harris White House!”
More evidence of the shift came yesterday as Biden gave Harris responsibility for leading the response to the border crisis. “Biden told reporters that Harris was the ‘most qualified’ person to handle the task. It comes as the administration faces growing pressure over how it’s handling a surge at the border that started after Biden was sworn into office.”
Right. Does anybody really believe Harris is “the ‘most qualified’ person to handle the task”? Especially when she says stuff like this:
“While we are clear that people should not come to the border now, we also understand that we will enforce the law and that we also—because we can chew gum and walk at the same time—must address the root causes that cause people to make the trek,” Harris told reporters.
Note her deft use of the adverb, “now”—”people should not come to the border … now.” Quite correct. The “Biden-Harris Administration” is not really getting tough on anyone coming to America; they’re merely delaying their entry.
Note, too, her snarky retort to a question no one asked: “we can chew gum and walk at the same time.” What’s with the pre-emptive slapback? Seems a little insecure. Plus, I think that’s kind of risky talk on behalf of a guy in Biden’s condition.
But the best part of her comments, the most laughable of all, is her Very Serious Insight That Must Be Taken Seriouslyᴛᴍ—we “must address the root causes that cause people to make the trek.”
LOL. Easy.
Root Cause #1
Meanwhile, Mexico’s president cast the blame this week on Biden’s policies, saying he created certain “expectations” that are ultimately spurring illegal immigrants into making the trip.
“Expectations were created that with President Biden’s government there would be a better treatment of migrants. This has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, to want to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so,” President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said on March 23.
Biden’s changes to immigration policies have triggered a surge in illegal crossings, especially by unaccompanied minors, more than 11,000 of whom were being kept in overcrowded facilities as of March 23.
Here’s how Harris can “address the root causes that cause people to make the trek.”
1) Admit Biden-Harris is a pushover administration;
2) Admit their policies are inept; and
3) Biden-Harris resign and president Trump rightfully comes back to the office.
Problem solved!
Really, I should be an advisor.
