Daily Broadside | Joe Biden’s Contempt for the People is Repulsive

It’s Tuesday. Tuesdays are just before the middle of the week, so that means that we have to get pedaling really fast to get up the near side of Wednesday.

I am not afraid to say I’m a tad miffed today. I originally got miffed during the first debate between Trump and Biden, and then I got remiffed during the vice-presidential debates between Pence and Harris. My miffed-factor rose to eleven, however, over the weekend.

In light of the Amy Coney Barrett hearings, which started yesterday, one of the big questions for Biden is whether he will attempt to pack the Supreme Court, as Democrats have threatened in response to her nomination. Neither he nor Harris have answered that direct question with a “yes” or “no.”

What Biden has said, however, is this:

“You’ll know my opinion of court-packing when the election is over. Now look, I know—it’s a great question, and I don’t blame you for asking. But you know the moment I answer that question, the headline in every one of your papers will be about that.”

He said as much during the first debate. But he became even more emphatic with his answer in this exchange:

Reporter DiMattei: “Well, sir, don’t the voters deserve to know where you stand…”
Candidate Biden: “No, they don’t deserve — I’m not going to play his game.”

Excuse me? Voters don’t DESERVE to know where he stands? This is what got my miffle miffed.

That answer alone should keep him out of the White House. Joe Biden has obviously forgotten—or, more likely, never learned—that he works for the voters. For you and me. As the head of a “government of the people, by the people, for the people,” as Abraham Lincoln so memorably put it.

What more evidence do we need that Biden holds “the people” in great contempt? His answer is full of dodge, parry, twist, spin and, as I regularly point out, lying. Not “play his game”? What game is that, Joe? And who said it is bad that “the headline in every one of your papers will be about that”? Is “that” unimportant, Joe?

This is a replay of Nancy Pelosi’s infamous answer when talking about what was covered in the Affordable Care Act.

What’s true about Nancy’s statement then is true about Joe’s statement now: If we have to pass it to find out what’s in it, then it’s no different than a stool sample. And we all know what’s in that.

Joe Biden is a tool of the left who has no original ideas and can’t even lie convincingly. His 47 years in politics has only served to enrich him and his family. He has no love for the American people. He loves only himself and what the political grift machine can do for him.

You should be miffed, too. Reject Joe Biden, if only on principle.

  1. Thanks for pointing this out! If the people don’t deserve to know his policies, then he doesn’t deserve their vote. I honestly wonder if the media would even cover it if he did say he wanted to pack the court. He’s so… cradled—at least compared to Trump.
    Gotta keep praying!
