Daily Broadside | Will Trump Claim Victory at the Buzzer?

Welcome to Friday. Having crested mid-month, we’re on the downside of December already and picking up speed toward Christmas and New Year’s. Hang on tight—2020 isn’t over yet.

December 18 is 45 days post-election, the required date by which DNI John Ratcliffe is supposed to deliver his report on foreign election interference. He won’t deliver it today, though. The Epoch Times reports,

Amanda Schoch, a spokesperson with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) said in a Dec. 16 statement that the intelligence community won’t meet the Dec. 18 deadline set by an executive order to report on foreign threats during this year’s election.

Schoch said they notified of the delay “by career intelligence officials.” She confirmed the report includes information about “relevant” foreign threats from the recent election.

“The IC has received relevant reporting since the election and a number of agencies have not finished coordinating on the product,” Schoch said, adding that Ratcliffe remains committed to an expeditious release of the report.

So the suspense grows as we push the big reveal to the new year. Ratcliffe has already teased what he’s learned. In an exclusive interview with CBS News senior investigative correspondent Catherine Herridge on December 3, Ratcliffe confirmed that China, Russia and Iran all interfered with our elections.

“DNI Ratcliffe … has access to the most highly classified information that is held by the U.S. government and he told CBS News that there was foreign election interference by China, Iran, and Russia in November of this year,” Herridge said.

Of course, there was also domestic interference in our national elections, too. I still don’t understand how anyone can claim that there is “no evidence” of fraud or illegal activities. I also don’t understand how anyone can claim that Democrats just turned out in historic numbers to vote for Biden and Harris because they hated Trump that much.

None of that passes the smell test and those of us who supported Trump remain convinced that there was massive election fraud. For instance, there was this from Maria Bartiromo on Tuesday morning.

“An intel source told me President Trump did, in fact, win the election. He says that it is up to the Supreme Court to hear suits from other cases across the country to stop the clock. This follows the high court’s refusal to hear the lawsuit from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.”

If Trump did win the election, it looks like it’s going to come down to a razor sharp game of beat the clock for him to prove it.

Here’s looking at you, January 20.
