Daily Broadside | The US Ship of State is Swamped and in Danger of Sinking

I hate to miss posting, but this past week was absolutely packed with activity. One of the little’s is getting married this fall, and there were all kinds of tasks associated with hosting guests and putting on a bridal shower that was a beautiful event for all involved. We’re getting to know the future in-laws and some of their extended family, too. I’m slightly more of an introvert than extrovert so expending that much energy with so many people tends to deplete my reserves and will take some time for me to rebound.

But I couldn’t not post with all that’s going on in this bizarre country called the United States of America. At one time the envy of the world, it has been twisted into a grotesque, unrecognizable parody of itself, claiming all the virtues of a free society but acting like a third-world banana republic.

We’re being led by a doddering, angry, dementia-riddled, imbecilic fabulist whose natural language is lying. He’s bought and owned by the Chinese, the Russians and the Ukranians. He’s done nothing worth remembering in his fifty years in government, but we will remember him because of the immense damage he’s inflicted on the economy, politics and the culture in the two-plus years he’s been in office.

Our political elites have weaponized the Constitution and are conducting open lawfare on the previous president while ignoring the crimes of the current one and his family. Lawfare is even being conducted at the state level against conservative politicians, like Texas AG Ken Paxton.

We’re being swarmed with some 7 million foreigners who have crossed our non-existant border illegally without vetting and are actually shlepped around the country to large “santuary” cities, so much so that even hard-left mayors are complaining that they can’t handle the influx and are now asking citizens to open their homes to the invaders.

The Chinese float spy balloons over mainland US with impunity and are apparently behind an illegal biolab full of diseased mice, pathogens, blood, coronavirus, HIV, hepatitis and herpes and other infectious agents that was operating in secret without a permit in California, and an illegal police station in New York City to hunt down Chinese dissidents. We’re dependent on China for our pharmaceuticals. It’s shameful embarrassment to our sovereignty and safety.

The chucklehead in the White House printed $4 trillion and set off the worst inflation in 40 years. Interest rates have tripled and gas prices are doubled.

Our cities, once the envy and destination of the world, are turning into third-world $#!+holes full of crime and drugs, homelessness and death. Stores and businesses are closing because it’s unsafe to operate in those fetid markets.

Americans are fleeing “blue” states to “red” states in an effort to escape the insanity that progressives have unleashed in their states. We’re segregating ourselves into “rational” and “irrational” populations — and it depends on which one you identify with that shapes your definition of “rational.”

Our military is more interested in being woke than in being prepared as evidenced by dismal recruiting that has left us thousands of soldiers short. In addition, we are short on munitions and are far behind China in naval readiness.

As Victor Davis Hanson writes,

We are in the midst of one of the most radical revolutions in American history. It is as far-reaching and dangerous as the turbulent years of the 1850s and 1860s or the 1930s. Every aspect of American life and culture is under assault, including the very processes by which we govern ourselves, and the manner in which we live.

The Revolution began under the Obama administration that sought to divide Americans into oppressed and oppressors, and then substitute race for class victimization. It was empowered by the bicoastal wealth accrued from globalization, and honed during the COVID lockdown, quarantine-fed economic downturn, and the George Floyd riots and their aftermath. The Revolution was boosted by fanatic opposition to the presidency of Donald Trump. And the result is an America that is unrecognizable from what it was a mere decade ago.

There’s little that one person can do to fight the assault on our way of life. It will take a critical mass of citizens who have decided they’ve had enough and are ready to fight — and sacrifice for — the survival of America.

Daily Broadside | New Strategy: Straight Up Lie and Don’t Blink

Daily Verse | Psalm 24:3-4
Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol
or swear by what is false.

Tuesday’s Reading: Psalms 25-30

Tuesday the 13th. Why aren’t we afraid of this day? Doesn’t matter anyway since there’s so much chaos ripping across the fruited plain every day of the week.

My short screed this morning is that “they” are lying directly to our face, “they” being the illegal junta occupying the White House.

The White House defended [R]esident Joe Biden’s economic record on Monday as the nation experienced historic inflation, gas prices over $5 a galloon and the stock market dropping.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre argued President Biden actually made historic economic gains, which would help the American people go through these economic ‘challenges.’

She blamed inflation – prices in May were 8.6% higher than a year earlier – the greatest increase since 1981 – on the covid pandemic and on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in the Ukraine.

Nobody but hard core progressives believe any of this nonsense.

But, she argued, that America would bounce back under Biden.

‘The American people are well positioned to face these challenges because of the economic historic gains that we have made under this president in the last six months,’ she noted.

“Economic historic gains” they’ve made? What are they talking about?

The stock market is now in bear territory and “the stock market has lost all the gains it made since [R]esident Joe Biden was sworn into office.”

The S&P 500 took a sharp downturn, closing on Monday 151 points below where it was in January of 2021. The other two major indexes, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and Nasdaq Composite fell by 876 points and 530 points respectively, both below where they were when Biden took office.

Cryptocurrency has also taken a hit. Bitcoin lost 15% of its value, and Ethereum lost 16%, according to Fortune.

Gasoline now averages $5 per gallon nationally, for the first time ever, and consumer prices reached their highest point in over forty years, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising 8.6% over the last year.

Anyway, if the economy is doing so great, why are Californians fleeing to Mexico?

Thousands of Californians are fleeing to Mexico amid the soaring cost of living in the golden state. Americans taking advantage of work from home are reaping the benefits of US salaries, while living off Mexico’s cheaper lifestyle.

Is it “cheaper lifestyle” or cheaper cost of living?

Others are living in Mexico, while commuting to work in the US. But critics have argued that the influx of Americans in cities south of the border has begun to price out local Mexicans.

Given the number of Mexicans living here in the U.S., it’s hard to generate any outrage from me about wealthier Americans “pricing out” locals in Mexico. What, are they getting a steal on real estate?

It comes amid a wider exodus of Californians to other states across the US, including Texas, Washington, and Arizona.

Many feel forced out by rocketing inflation in the golden state that has gas, grocery, and living costs soaring under Governor Gavin Newsom.

So Brandon is crowing about our “historic economic gains,” gains so awesome that U.S. citizens are fleeing to a third world country to avoid the tax burdens and soaring prices here.

The fact that the administration would straight-up lie to us is no way to restore any semblance of credibility. Not that they had any, anyway. But, still.

It’s pathetic.

All is going according to the prophecies.

Daily Broadside | Trump Candidates Win Bigly While Brandon Struggles to Stay Afloat

Daily Verse | Ezra 6:14
So the elders of the Jews continued to build and prosper under the preaching of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah, a descendent of Iddo.

Thursday’s Reading: Ezra 7-8

Thursday and while I’ve written several posts about the leaked SCOTUS opinion reversing Roe v. Wade and there are still a lot of ripples from that dastardly, unconscionable, cowardly, illegal and unAmerican act of sabotage, there are other things happening while we suffer under the fraudulent Brandon junta that need some daylight to encourage us.

The recent CIVIQS rolling job approval average shows that Brandon is underwater in 46 states. Might I remind you that we only have 50? That means the cockwomble in the White House is scorned by 92 percent of the country. The other eight percent in the four states where Brandon is loved are:

  • Hawaii: 49 percent approval, 41 percent disapproval
  • Maryland: 46 percent approval, 42 percent disapproval
  • Massachusetts: 46 percent approval, 42 percent disapproval
  • Vermont: 51 percent approval, 37 percent disapproval

What the heck is going on in Vermont that more than half of voters “approve” of the job he’s doing?

Overall, the poll showed Biden with only 35 percent approval from the respondents and a 55 percent disapproval, and ten percent who have no opinion. The poll showed Biden with net approval of negative 19.

Here’s Brandon’s perpetual popularity calculation over at FiveThirtyEight, where the gap is not quite as wide (10.5 points) but nonetheless disastrous for the “chief executive” of these United States. You know he’s not chief executive-ing anything.

And here’s RealClearPolitics favorability ratings chart from May 11 where he’s upside down by 9 points.

And still we’re expected to believe that Brandon totally got #81MillionVotes, you guys, because he was so wildly popular and would restore our norms and put the adults back in charge. The greatest fraud foisted on We the People in the history of these United States.

Meanwhile, as Brandon circles the drain, president-in-exile Donald J. Trump continues his streak as kingmaker.

Tuesday’s results make Trump-endorsed candidates 58-1 in the midterm primaries thus far, as all 22 candidates who received the 45th president’s nod in Ohio and Indiana won their races on May 3, while all 33 Trump-backed candidates in Texas either won their primaries or advanced to runoffs. Of the May 3 races, the most notable victor was J.D. Vance in Ohio, who earned the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate with the help of a late Trump endorsement.

The most puzzling of Trump’s endorsements is Pennsylvania Senate candidate Mehmet Oz over surging opponent Kathy Barnette. Oz is not a conservative; he has supported transgenderism, abortion and red flag laws, all of which are opposed by conservatives.

On the other hand, Barnette is a black conservative Christian woman who was conceived when her mother was raped at age 11 by a 21-year-old man. She is well within the margin of error in the polling.

Seems to me that Trump would do better endorsing Barnette. However, you can hardly argue with his record of 58-1 in the midterm primaries. The real test will be in November as Republicans try to heave the dead wood out of the swamp and gain veto-proof majorities so that come 2024, the table is set to permanently roll back the serious damage done by the anti-American communist stooges in the White House and the deep state.

On the other hand, Resident Brandon is slow on the endorsements. Not sure if it’s because he’s being selective or that no one wants him within spitting distance of their campaign.

Biden has made just four endorsements since taking office: Reps. Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.), Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.) and Shontel Brown (D-Ohio), as well as former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who lost a bid to regain his old job last fall.

I’m guessing the latter.

This is all good news, for now. With the economy in decline, food shortages looming, inflation still up at 40-year highs, gas prices in the mid-four-dollar ranges, rising interest rates, mostly peaceful illegal protests outside of conservative Supreme Court Justices’ homes, a new Ministry of Truth headed by a partisan liar that is nothing more than a tool to go after conservative voices in the public square and so on and so on — it seems that even the liberals among us have had enough.

Let’s hope that holds true through the end of the year so that we can neuter Brandon and make him a lame castrated duck for the rest of his White House occupation.

Daily Broadside | March Data Proves the Liars in the White House Are Lying

Daily Verse | 2 Kings 2:23-24
“Go on up you baldhead!” they said. “Go on up you baldhead!” He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of them.

Wednesday’s Reading: 2 Kings 4-5

Mid-week and our society continues to splinter and spiral out of control as Joey McWafflebrains tries to spin the worst inflation in 40 years as a product of Russia’s war in Ukraine (while escalating the rhetoric he’s using to dangerous levels) and not of his own doing.

President Biden declared Tuesday that Russia was committing a “genocide” in Ukraine, a significant escalation of the president’s rhetoric and a notable shift that comes as U.S. officials have avoided using the term.

The comment initially came at an event in Menlo, Iowa, where Biden was decrying the effects of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine on gas and food prices. “Your family budget, your ability to fill up your tank, none of it should hinge on whether a dictator declares war and commits genocide a half a world away,” Biden said.

I’ve got news for you Fake President McLiarFace. The inflation and spiking gas prices are because of decisions you and your “brain trust” in the White House made that put us in the position we’re in. The Russia-Ukraine war is just accelerating our speed along the trajectory you set.

The Labor Department said Tuesday that the consumer price index – which measures a bevy of goods including gasoline, health care, groceries and rents – rose 8.5% in March from a year ago, the fastest pace since December 1981, when inflation hit 8.9%. Prices jumped 1.2% in the one-month period from February, the largest month-to-month jump since 2005.

Economists expected the index to show that prices surged 8.4% in March from the previous year and 1.2% on a monthly basis.

So-called core prices, which exclude more volatile measurements of food and energy, climbed 6.5% in March from the previous year – up from the 6.4% increase recorded in February. It was the steepest 12-month increase since August 1982.

Let’s see … who’s been in office for the last twelve months?

Price increases were widespread: Energy prices rose a stunning 11% in March from the previous month, and are up 32% from last year. Gasoline, on average, costs 48% more than it did last year after rising 18.3% in March on a monthly basis as the Russian war in Ukraine fueled a rapid increase in oil prices.

The March inflation data is the first to capture the full effect of the European war, which sent gas prices in the U.S. to the highest since 2008.

Food prices have also climbed 8.8% higher over the year and 1% over the month, with the largest increases in cereal and bakery products (10%), poultry, fish and meat (13.8%), fresh fruits and vegetables (8.1%), and eggs (11.2%).

I’m old enough to remember when we were newly energy independent and didn’t have to rely on foreign oil; in fact, we were a net exporter and gas was around $2.12/gal.

I am so tired of the lies we are told by those in charge. They know they’re lying; we know they’re lying; and they know that we know they’re lying. Yet they continue to lie.

What doesn’t lie are the data, and this administration that said they’d bring us back to “normal” after Trump sure did—we just didn’t know how far back they’d take us.

Daily Verse | 2 Samuel 3:36
All the people took note and were pleased; indeed, everything the king did pleased them.

Monday’s Reading: 2 Samuel 5-7

Monday and here’s a few tidbits to be aware of.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-Not Conservative) will vote to confirm Non-Biologist and Radical Jurist Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court.

“Just as I have with previous Supreme Court nominees, I met with Judge Jackson and evaluated her qualifications to be a Supreme Court Justice. After meeting with her, considering her record, and closely monitoring her testimony and questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week, I have determined I intend to vote for her nomination to serve on the Supreme Court.”

When Manchin opposed the Build Better Bolsheviks plan under Brandon, there was talk of him joining the Republican Party. But someone who would vote for a woman who can’t say what a woman is to the highest court in the land after “closely monitoring her testimony and questioning” should remain a pariah in his own party while we occasionally welcome his help.

The enemy of my enemy isn’t necessarily my friend.

It’s unfortunate that SCOTUS is being radicalized with picks like KBJ, because in the not-too-distant-future there are going to be court challenges to things like this: The coming federal weaponization of banking.

A digital version of the dollar has been in the works for over a year now. Earlier this month, [so-called president] Biden signed an executive order both curtailing existing cryptocurrencies and laying the groundwork for a federal digital currency. Crypto regulations have been a favorite topic of Democrats on Capitol Hill and regulators in the federal bureaucracy. Biden deployed numerous excuses, including the risks of money laundering and the carbon emissions needed to produce crypto, to justify cracking down on these currencies. But the kicker of the statement is the regulatory groundwork for the coming “digital dollar.” The United States will be the second major power to foster such a move, after China, where efforts to create a digital currency as part of its social credit system are a sign of what might be coming here soon.

Physical currency likely will be phased out entirely over time, in favor of a digital format controlled by the Federal Reserve. The ubiquity of cell phones and scannable codes will make integration of a digital currency, under some form of the blockchain, relatively easy to implement. This soft-nationalization of the banking sector would leave the United States in uncharted waters. Nearly every transaction, from political donations to purchases as seemingly insignificant as a pack of gum, would be visible to the government and subject to scrutiny. Government regulations could block or track certain transactions with no trial or public recourse. Even worse, if you were placed on a list by a federal bureaucrat — not a judge — your access to banking and credit cards potentially could be shut off without a warrant or trial.

Buy what you need now—like a generator for when the electrical grid eventually breaks—before your purchasing freedom is verboten by non-descript womyn like KBJ.

Of course, the other thing you should buy is seeds for things like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, corn, cucumbers, carrots, celery, strawberries, blueberries and other fruits and vegetables. That’s so when Brandon’s disastrous economic policies and international political failures finally catch up with food prices here in the U.S., you can blunt the impact on your personal grocery bill.

[So-called president] Biden on Thursday warned of global food shortages as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine — predicting that the war would upend global wheat supplies.

Russia and Ukraine jointly supply about a fourth of the world’s wheat exports.

“With regard to food shortages, yes we did talk about food shortages. And it’s going to be real,” Biden said at a press conference in Belgium after attending meetings of NATO and G7 leaders.

“The price of these sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia, it’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country,” Biden said.

When your sanctions on another country badly hurt your country, you’re doing it wrong.

Brandon says we don’t expect food shortages in the U.S., but neither did we expect the never-ending surge in gas prices, the supply chain bottle-neck, the empty store shelves, the scarcity of used and new cars, the failure in Afghanistan, the worst inflation in 40 years, the Chinese Bat Flu, or the severe lockdowns imposed on us by our betters in Washington, D.C. and across the nation.

I don’t trust a single thing these people say and even less what they do.

From the “Department of Pure Speculation But Not Really”: imagine a scenario in which Hunter Biden is indicted on federal charges of influence peddling, but then, because his daddy is the Resident, he is PARDONED.

Friday, FNC host Jesse Watters told his viewers he heard Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, would be indicted.

In addition to that, Watters speculated the President would pardon his son and announce he was not seeking reelection in 2024.

If Trump tried that he’d be impeached. Of course, Trump would never have to try that because he’s not a life-long grifter who hasn’t worked a day in his life like career criminal politician “the Big Guy.”

Daily Broadside | Rich Guy Tells the Plebes It’s Patriotic to Pay More for Gas

Daily Verse | Joshua 11:20
For it was the Lord himself who hardened their hearts to wage war against Israel, so that he might destroy them totally, exterminating them without mercy, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Monday’s Reading: Joshua 13-17

Monday and we’re really beginning to feel the voter effect of #NeverTrump and the Democrats, and the insane globalist, racist, cultural Marxist, biology and science-defying, climate-terrified Covidiots who think utopia is just over the horizon if only we get rid of the historically reliable capitalist means that have created the once-greatest nation in the history of the world and replace them with a Tyrant.

They owe us an apology for their short-sighted and media-infected rejection of president-in-exile Donald J. Trump, who had gotten us back on our feet and made us energy-independent until the Fool they put in office cancelled the Keystone Pipeline and banned fracking on federal lands while demanding we all turn ourselves into lab rats for a medically-unnecessary jab for a virus that mainly killed the elderly and the obese while withholding proven treatments that would’ve save a lot of lives.

The allegedly 81 million Americans who voted for Biden in 2020 got played, hard. And they owe the rest of us a big apology, and a promise to never screw our nation over like this again.

Yes, Trump was a jerk. You know what he wasn’t? Dangerously incompetent. Or barely kept motoring with a personalized daily slushie of embalming fluid.

It’s time for the Americans who saddled us with this embarrassment of a president to realize that they did exactly what they self-righteously accepted from mass media they were saving our nation from: voting for a four-year national disaster.

One of my daughters sent me a picture of her latest fill up at a gas station, along with appropriate gratitude to the one who made it possible.

Gas is now over $4/gal. where I live and jumped to over $5/gal. where one of my other daughters live. She is now seriously thinking about moving to a lower-cost state.

Then there’s the self-righteous, no longer relevant George Takei, who’s worth $14M, telling us plebes to take one for the team. I won’t link you to this moron’s account, but the responses have been blistering, and rightly so.

It reminds me of a co-worker who once told me she was willing to pay more taxes to take care of illegal aliens. Government creates problems, frames fixing them as a moral virtue, then takes your money to “fix” the problems.

And if you complain, you’re EVIL.

The problem is … the problems are never fixed. And there are always more problems to be fixed, requiring more of your hard-earned money to fix them.

Meanwhile, our politicians laugh all the way to the bank.

These people are absolutely shameless, yet they claim to be champions of the poor, the minimum wage earners, the less fortunate.

You know who Brandon’s policies are absolutely decimating? Yeah, the poor, the minimum wage earners, the less fortunate.

I’m solidly middle-class, and I’m feeling the pinch. But the very people progressives claim to be fighting for are the very ones who can least afford this administration’s policies.

The Democrats are in for a shellacking this November but unless we take back all three branches of government, nothing will change. We’ve got to wipe the Democrats out—I mean, COMPLETELY OUT—in November, and then put Trump or DeSantis in the Big Chair two years later.

Then we need to go on a total law-making tear that lock in truly patriotic goals, like term limits, teaching authentic American history to our children, a balanced budget law, making socialism illegal, mandating voter ID and in-person voting on election day, completing the wall on our southern border, and outlawing the Democrat party.

I jest on that last one. Or do I?

If you want to see the change, get out there and either run for office yourself (start local) or work on behalf of a trustworthy candidate. Knock on doors and donate what you can.

It’s the only way back.

Daily Broadside | Poor Reasoning Poisons the National Discourse

Daily Verse | Leviticus 10:2
So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.

Monday’s Reading: Leviticus 16-17

Monday and I have an example of thinking that contributes to the noise in our society.

I am on a social media app on which a member was complaining about the heating bill she got from he energy company. She wrote:

Anyone get an outrageous bill from [the energy company]? I’ve had my thermostat set at 65 and occasionally bump up to 67. $170 bill for this is insane. I’m freezing!

Lots of people responded to her comment. Some expressed the same amount of outrage as she did. Some tried to help her figure out what was causing the high heating bill by asking her questions about her home. Insulation? Two stories? Good windows? How many square feet are you heating? Others shared their heating bills for the last three years and showed how they had increased. One suggested we vote for socialism so that the energy company wouldn’t be profiting off grandmas just trying to stay warm.

I responded,

Talk to Brandon in Washington, D.C.

That got a few reactions including 💗 😄  😮 . It also generated a few comments including this one:

Dave Olsson -talk to Mother Nature. She is RED & BLUE. & Purple. The January temps are in the teens. We are talking about weather so qwitcher [sic] tunnel vision.

This is a failed argument once you cut through the snark to the premises, and all of us–even if you agree with her–need to get good at recognizing poor reasoning and learn how to clap back at people like this to blunt their opinion from influencing others who may not be as thoughtful.

Her argument offers two premises and a conclusion which, broadly speaking, is a syllogism (associated with either deductive or inductive reasoning). I’ve provided my response to each.

  • Our climate affects everyone (no matter their political preferences). True.
  • January temperatures are in the teens. True.
  • (Implied) Therefore, it’s the colder temps that result in higher pricing. Does not necessarily follow.
  • Therefore further, stop seeing everything through political lenses. Irrelevant.

Do you see that neither of her premises support her conclusion absolutely? Her conclusion that colder temperatures result in higher pricing may be true, but it does not follow absolutely from her two premises.

The best she can say is that a factor in the original complaint is that using more gas results in a higher bill. Undeniably true. But it’s not the only thing that might lead to a higher bill. Gas might actually cost more per therm and therefore result in a higher gas bill. Indeed, higher prices and colder temperatures will likely result in a more expensive bill.

We can’t control the weather. Weather is variable and will do what it will do. There’s nothing we can do about how cold, hot, rainy or humid or snowy it gets (don’t @ me about climate change … that’s a whole different topic).

It’s not like we haven’t had temps in the teens before here in the Midwest. Some winters are colder than others. The best we can do is look at the average temperature across several winter seasons.

However, the one thing we can affect is the price of energy. That’s what we need to look at when we’re complaining about high gas prices. Low temperatures might be a factor, causing us to use more energy, but it’s the price of the energy that truly counts.

And who has affected the price of natural gas more than anyone?

Brandon.

Hence my suggestion. On average, the temperatures are not outliers this winter. They’re within a “normal” range of what we would expect.

My antagonist’s discourse is one of the reasons that we have such a fog in our national conversation. Don’t let poor logic go unchallenged.

Daily Broadside | America is Under Siege From Within

Daily Verse | Mark 3:5
“[Jesus] looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch our your hand.”

Thursday’s Reading: Mark 4-7

Happy Thursday, Broadsiders! Wearing name brand sports apparel does not make you an athlete. Just sayin’.

Resident Biden has been in office for just nine months and has managed to completely undo all that President Trump accomplished in four years. CNN headline: “Prices keep soaring: Inflation rockets to a 13-year high.”

Inflation is at a 13-year high. “The consumer price index, the nation’s key inflation measure, jumped 0.9% in June, the largest one-month increase in 13 years. Over the last 12 months, prices were up 5.4%, the biggest jump in annual inflation in nearly 13 years.”

The price of gasoline is fueling a large part of the increase. “Gas prices rose 45.1% compared to a year earlier.”

Food prices are rising. “Food prices are up 2.4% in the last 12 months, but prices for dining out rose 4.2%.”

The cost of used cars is up, too. “Used car prices were up 10.5% in June — the largest one-month jump in records that go back nearly 70 years, and a stunning 45.2% over the last 12 months.”

Your heating bills are going up this winter. “With prices surging worldwide for heating oil, natural gas and other fuels, the U.S. government said Wednesday it expects households to see their heating bills jump as much as 54% compared to last winter.”

The number of foreigners trying to enter our country illegally is at record highs. Pew Research tells us, “The U.S. Border Patrol reported nearly 200,000 encounters with migrants along the U.S.-Mexico border in July, the highest monthly total in more than two decades.”

Supply chains are backed up.[S]hipping a parcel from Shanghai to Los Angeles is currently six times more expensive than shipping one from L.A. to Shanghai.”

We’re quitting our jobs in record numbers.Almost 3% of workers handed in their resignations in August, a record, the government reported Tuesday. The number of people quitting rose to 4.3 million, dwarfing the number of layoffs from employers, who cut 1.3 million jobs the same month.

Healthcare workers who left their jobs rose year-over-year. “About 534,000 health care workers quit their jobs in August, up from about 404,000 during the same month in 2020.”

Women are quitting at a faster clip than men. “And women are quitting their jobs at a faster pace than men are, according to data from payroll services firm Gusto, which focuses on small businesses. Its analysis found that 5.5% of women quit their jobs in August, compared with 4.4% of men — a gender gap that’s the largest Gusto has seen since it began tracking the issue in early 2020.”

Our military is being degraded via discharging conservative soldiers and anti-vaxxers. “An estimated 350,000 of our military service members are being dishonorably discharged for refusing to take a completely unnecessary and experimental mRNA nanotech injection, which is now proven to degrade immune systems and cause many serious side effects.”

But at least we don’t have any more mean tweets!

Time is running out to confront the clowns wrecking our country.
