Daily Broadside | 50% of Voters Believe the Election Was Fraudulent. Now What?

If Thursday is New Year’s Eve, what does that make Wednesday? New Year’s Adam.

Thanks, I’ll show myself out.

Seventy percent of Republicans and 30 percent of Democrats believe the election of Joe Biden was fraudulent. That’s half the electorate. Yet the press continues to tell us there was no evidence of widespread fraud.

Sidney Powell released a 270-page report a few days ago containing “affidavits, sources, testimony, witnesses, and other evidence of mass voter fraud and foreign interference in the 2020 election.” Yesterday she talked with Todd Herman on Rush Limbaugh’s show about that evidence. About half way through, Herman asks what she would say to the Supreme Court Justices to convince them to hear her evidence if she had 90 seconds on an elevator with them. Here’s the first part of what she said.

“The very night of the election many people saw something that they have never seen before in the history of our elections. They saw votes being changed on the screen in front of them, going from President Trump to Mr. Biden.

On top of that, the morning after the election, even that night, the voting stopped. They stopped counting in multiple districts at the same time before the vote got to 270 electors for President Trump. That’s never happened before. The only time votes have ever stopped being counted in this country on election night was when the Broward County problem developed over the hanging chads in one county in Florida.

So for five states to stop counting on election night is absolutely unprecedented. And they did it because the vote count for the electoral college was about to hit and go over 270 for President Trump, because of the massive outpouring of votes for him that night.

By the next morning, multiple mathematicians had contacted me and told me they knew the algorithm that had been run to change the votes. It was that obvious to people with mathematical expertise. It is a mathematical impossibility for hundreds of thousands of votes to have shown up in the middle of the night for vice-president Biden alone and to have been injected into the system the way that they were.

We have eye-witness testimony of countless people who saw votes coming in, in unsecured containers and improper means and looking different the night of the election. These people have come forward at great personal risk to themselves and their families to provide thousands of affidavits of voting abnormalities and actual crimes that they witnessed happen on election night. The very fact that the other side is working so hard to hide all of this. Federal law requires transparency in our electoral process and our elections.”

Add to that the report yesterday that lawmakers in Pennsylvania have discovered that there were over 200,000 more votes cast than voters in the 2020 Presidential Election—which is more than twice the reported statewide difference between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. They have declared that “the certification of that state’s presidential election results was ‘absolutely premature, unconfirmed, and in error.'”

Finally, consider what Rudy Giuliani said in his podcast on December 25.

There is “considerable movement” in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin towards decertification of the 2020 presidential election results, Rudy Giuliani said on Friday.

“So starting after Christmas, this is really going to blow up,” Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s attorney, said.

“Because the evidence that all these crooked television networks, newspapers, big tech, and the leadership of the Democratic Party have been giving you is false. And you’re going to find that out all at once. It’s going to be very shocking to the country.”

I don’t know how anyone can claim that there is “no evidence” of voter fraud or “irregularities” and I don’t know why the courts have dismissed Trump’s legal challenges. I certainly don’t know how all of this is going to turn out, but I’m not ashamed to admit that, for the sake of our country, I hope Trump will prevail.

It’s possible that vice-president Pence will declare that there has been no election in some of the states which have returned dueling electors.

An election is a process of counting votes for candidates. Only valid, lawful votes may be counted.  A valid lawful vote is:

◦ Cast by an eligible, properly registered elector as prescribed by laws enacted by the state Legislature.
◦ Cast in a timely manner, as prescribed by laws enacted by the state Legislature.
◦ Cast in a proper form as prescribed by laws enacted by the state Legislature.

Any process that does not follow these rules is not an election.  Anything that proceeds from it cannot be regarded as having any lawful import.

It’s also possible that Pence won’t declare any such thing, which might be why Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert and a group of other Republicans filed a lawsuit which reads, in part,

B. That Vice-President Pence, in his capacity as President of Senate and Presiding Officer of the January 6, 2021 Joint Session of Congress under the Twelfth Amendment, is subject solely to the requirements of the Twelfth Amendment and may exercise the exclusive authority and sole discretion in determining which electoral votes to count for a given State, and must ignore and may not rely on any provisions of the Electoral Count Act that would limit his exclusive authority and his sole discretion to determine the count, which could include votes from the slates of Republican electors from the Contested States;

C. That, with respect to competing slates of electors from the State of Arizona or other Contested States, the Twelfth Amendment contains the exclusive dispute resolution mechanisms, namely, that (i) Vice-President Pence determines which slate of electors’ votes count, or neither, for that State; (ii) how objections from members of Congress to any proffered slate of electors is adjudicated; and (iii) if no candidate has a majority of 270 elector votes, then the House of Representatives (and only the House of Representatives) shall choose the President where “the votes [in the House of Representatives] shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote,” U.S. CONST. amend. XII;

January 6, 2021 is going to be a huge day, one way or the other. Keep praying for our country, for President Trump, and for vice-president Pence, that they would maintain their integrity and do the right thing, no matter what.
